I’m not going to lie that I hate going to the dentist. I’m a big scaredy-cat. However, I love Dr. Dave Alley and his team! The practice is filled with friendly, knowledgeable and kind people who care about your comfort. Together they ensure dental excellence each and every time I step through the door. That’s important to me. I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing the elder Dr. Alley and he’s just as great! I can see where his son gets it from. What do they say? The apple  doesn’t fall far from the tree…in a very good way indeed. For cleanings, dental checkups and dental work–visit them and see for yourself.

This place is amazing!!! From the time I entered to the point of my exit, I received pure quality service from every member of the dental office team. Came here for the first time yesterday for a full  exam and honest opinion on my dental health. Super sweet girl greeted me and took Xrays of my teeth. As annoying as they are, she made the process as quick and smooth as possible.  I then met with Dr. Marta and was very impressed. She was super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. She made me feel like home. I did not feel like she was trying to rip me off like I felt at another dental office.  It’s been really hard finding decent doctors since I moved here from Russia, but I believe I finally found the perfect dentist and I am very happy about that!  She was kind enough to show me everything in my mouth that I should be cautious about (e.g. how to check myself for oral cancer ) but none of it indicated crazy problems like another money hungry dentist I originally met with in Irvine. I got recommendations for a crown and feelings and the only doctor that I want to work with is Dr. Marta. Also, I want to say thank you to the ladies at the front desk, they were very sweet and helpful.  They explained me my insurance coverage, helped me with calculations and provided me with better understanding of all the costs for my treatment. It was very kind of them. I enjoyed my overall experience  and look forward to coming back. Thank you Alley P John, DDS & Alley J David DDS!!!

So my usual dentist, Dr. Mier left, however this place, staff, and the experience, still earns it 5 stars. I was due for a cleaning and when I first called, they had nothing available for 3 months out. I was placed on a basic on-call wait list, during my week off, for those patients with last minute cancellations. Low and behold, I got a call yesterday and was seen this morning. The lobby is always inviting. Plenty of chairs, a magazine rack, some kids toys, decorated nicely, and a kcup machine to boot! The staff excels in customer service. From their phone calls, to front desk, to dental assistants, and dentists, you feel valued and appreciated. Nancy was my assistant today and she made the extra effort to get to know me, make me feel comfortable (which included a blanket because I was cold!), and even allowed me to take a selfie with tools in my mouth (yes, I’m THAT social media girl). If you’re new to the area and require dentistry or are in need of a change, check this place out. They DO NOT accept my dental insurance, and I was still content paying out of pocket. Some things are just more important, and this place earns my money.

If you want a down to earth, professional, compassionate, and very experienced dentist… Then this is your place! Every single employee from the dental assistants, the hygienists, to the front desk staff are kind, pleasant & acknowledge you immediately when you arrive…. And much more. This is a family business that runs with traditional values and wonderful patient care. I believe one place in your life not to skimp on care is in dentistry.  I have referred so many people to this dental office and they are all impressed & grateful. Be aware that this office runs on a tight schedule, they are extremely busy, and you will never wait for your appointment time as they run a tight ship!  I really appreciate when somebody values my time as much as I value their’s!  High quality, excellent dental office!

I highly recommend this office. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Dave is truly the best dentist I have been to, and he is a wonderful, charitable man. Last time I was there, I overheard the assistants talking about an elderly patient who is unable to take care of himself. They take care of him on a regular, recurring basis at no charge, like he was family. The dentistry is honest, you can trust their diagnosis where other dentists may push you towards an unnecessary decision. Dr. Dave has a lot of integrity and his work is impeccable. Dentists like him are getting more difficult to find.

It was a pleasure meeting Dr. John P. Alley and his staff!  Everyone was very pleasant and  accommodating. I was reminded in the morning that I had an appointment day of and when I got there I did not have to wait that long to be placed in a room. Once I sat down X-Rays were taken there in my chair, I did not have to move. Dr. Alley took his time to explain every move he made and educated me on Oral Cancer (no dentist had ever explained that to me!) and spoke to me about future care. Dr. Alley  is very nice and has many yrs of experience and learned he gives back by treating orphans in Mexico and Africa! This is as GOOD as it is going to get!   And due to a cancellation I was able to see the Hygienist (she was so sweet)  for my cleaning. Yay! Thumbs up!

Dr. Alley is the best dentist you will ever find.  The office personnel and medical staff are all top notch.  I know without hesitation that I will always get the most honest information about any problems I may have, and always leave the office with the finest dental care available!  I have been a patient for many years, and I am still amazed at the professionalism of this dental office.

I had been seeing the same dentist since I was 6 years old, and since moving to the OC I put off looking for a new one. A friend recommended this office and I am so happy for the recommendation. From when I entered to when I left, I felt like all my questions were answered and everyone was so nice! I was able to get x rays, checked by Dr. David, and a routine cleaning in one day which was convenient. They send a reminder in the mail three weeks before and a text message a few days before reminding you of your appointment. Digital x-rays and a thorough explanation of what the images mean make a world of difference when visiting the dentist. I was taught how to check for oral cancer and got a great recommendation for a new electric toothbrush. For someone who gets anxious going to the dentist, I was incredibly happy with my experience here.

Best Dentist you will find.   The whole dentist office is so friendly and kind.  The best part of this office is they are so honest.  I had been going to another dentist in Anaheim Hills. The dentist I was going to told me I need to get several things done that were super expensive.  I was just about to start payments and start on the various procedures when I decided to get a second opinion.  I went to Dr. Dave Alley.  I didn’t tell him up front what the other dentist had recommended I just wanted to find out what he would recommend from my xrays and from seeing me.  WELL, after my first visit Dr. Dave came in and told me your xrays are great, your teeth are very healthy.  He gave me some recommendations on stuff to do at home for my sensitive teeth and gave me some free gel to put on my teeth to make them less sensitive.  Then I told him about what the other dentist recommended.  He couldn’t believe it and said I needed none of that.     I have been so impressed time and time again about how honest Dr. Dave and his entire staff are.  They will never recommend you doing anything that is not necessary.

I highly recommend this Dentist office!! They are totally trustworthy – I did not realize that finding an honest dental office was a big concern – however recent experience, conversations with people, and reading reviews have shown that finding a good, honest dentist is pretty much the same as finding an honest, reliable mechanic or contractor.  Important, and apparently harder to find than I would have thought – and when you find one – it’s golden!! I had been out of the dental loop for a while. My wife has been going regularly – she would come home every few months with thousands of dollars of costs – and also would have continued problems – each of which would entail more visits and more big bills – but what are you gonna do – be upset about the cost of your wife’s health – um no, I could complain about how much she spends on other things (but if you’ve seen my kegerators, and grills then u know I need to STFU). I went to my wife’s dental offices and surprise – I needed thousands of dollars of work  done (after insurance), in addition to other work – one item was eight fillings. I thought 8 cavities – that’s what I deserve for waiting so long to go to the dentist – they start some scaling treatment, with other treatments – then have someone come in and go over a treatment plan costing thousands. Problem was – it was like a hard sell; the fastest way to get me to avoid doing business with you! Probably would have had me as a patient if it wasn’t for that! They wanted a big down payment also – of course, I had to think about it, and got out of there – my wife was a little offended that I didn’t like her dentist, as she felt they’re so great.I am so glad that I have found a place that I can trust for my dental health. Technically I didn’t find them – my mom did – I just got lucky!  I told my wife about the filling replacement thing, she says she is going to start to go to Dr. Alley – as soon as they complete and correct the work we’ve already paid for at her (soon to be former) dentist. The other reviews are right on target – these are people who truly appreciate your business – and I repeat – I highly recommend them!

Dr. Alley gave me beautiful veneers back in 2007.  I only just recently needed one replaced. Not only did he once again give me a perfect veneer, his staff found a way to move up my appointment day and time to accommodate my work schedule.  I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Alley.  Thank you all…truly.

I have been a patient here for about 12 years. I had been going to another dentist closer to my home because of sensitivity issues. The other dentist was brushing some kind of cadaver bone solution on my teeth to treat it. It wasn’t working well and I swear I was thinking I might be better off without my teeth and have dentures instead. The pain was constant. Any kind of food or drink hot or cold I had to quickly gulp down because when it hit my teeth it felt like an electric shock of sensitivity. Well lucky for me my mother said “why don’t you go to dr. Alley”. I live about 10 miles away and thought it was too far but I made an appointment anyway.  First of all I walked in the door and saw how nice and well mannered the front desk staff is. Yes I said staff, they have at least 2 people up there pretty much at all times. After seeing dr. John he told me my sensitivity issues could easily be remedied by using some toothpaste high in fluoride. I thought there is no way after what I was going through that using this was going to solve my problem. Well I am happy to say I was dead wrong. After using the stuff for about 3 weeks the sensitivity was gone. He could have easily BSed me and told me I needed procedures like my old dentist but the honesty in this office is impeccable. I have been going here ever since, as does my family and a friend. The hygienists here are also very well trained. They take their time and somehow can clean my teeth with very little pain or discomfort. They are all good but Sam is the best in my opinion. She is so good that you need to schedule far in advance because so many patients want her. Dr. John is nearing retirement age but when and if he does retire his son dr. Dave and the newest doctor, dr. Meir are excellent and will make this practice remain good for many more years. This is a model that all dentists should try to copy. Highly recommend.

If your anything like me, going to the dentist is a horrible experience. I have feared going to the dentist since I was a kid. The problem is, everyone eventually has to go and sit in the CHAIR! Well after a year of my wife haranguing me to go to the dentist she finally talked me into to going to her long term dentist. The wife told them I was a bit of a scaredy pants when it came to dentistry and they said they had the right people for me at the Alley dentistry office.  They were right… Margot is the nicest and most gentle dental hygienist I have ever had the pleasure of scraping my teeth clean. I can’t say enough about her service. She cares and remembers goals we had planned for my teeth care from 6 months ago. Then of course Dr. Alley comes in and shoots it straight and tells me exactly what I need to do to get my teeth in the best shape they have ever been in. Best part is, you’re in and out very quickly.
