The choice of service over the years when living in SF, in temporarily relocating back to Hawaii, I continue to yearly return to SF to receive the thoughtful and consummate dentistry service of Dr. David Ho. LOCATION: Dr. Ho’s new office is located conveniently on Bush/Van Ness on Bush right behind Starbucks on the busline. Parking is readily available on the street or nearby parking garages. SERVICE: The experience with Dr. Ho has been of best practice. He is a clinician with years of practice and indeed an educator at a nearby University. The customer service from Dr. Ho and Michelle is unpretentious, hospitable, professional, and indeed comforting. He is timely with appointments and if there is a short wait, there are massage chairs in the area to ease your body and spirit. The care he provides include a collaborative process with the patient and when appropriate with other professionals according to the recommended or needed plan of care for your teeth. He is gentle with the tissues in the oral cavity, and is very gentle and conscientious with pain prevention and the comfort of the patient.  In regards to the dental health of my teeth (which requires alot of attention!) he not only provides service for the problems I have but also in the wellness of my teeth and oral cavity. While receiving treatment in the dental chair, the amenity of comfort does not end as viewing movies are offered while he works on your teeth and the comfortiing neck support of the dental chair adds no distress while he works on your teeth. Patient education includes direct conversations with Dr. Ho (at the office or when he calls you to check up or being encouraged to call if there is any concern) or  by viewing the information on a monitor screen while inclined on the comfort of the dental chair. FACILITY:  The dental office of Dr. Ho is located on the first floor where no elevators is needed. It is accessible from the street level, secured, free of noise, air conditioned and shielded from days of the blistering sun. It is a new and refreshing office to be in. In fact, sometimes I would find myself wanting to just sit on those wonderful massage chairs he has in the waiting area! Not to mention the tea. The comfort for the patients include a inhouse restroom not needing to go out of his office to another area. The equipment are all new and state of the art. I found the xray most intriguing where one would not have to move to another area—just lounge on those comfortable chairs. COST and PAYMENT: What can I say about cost having to return yearly from Hawaii and have the best care from Dr. Ho and afford it! Personally, I find it reasonable, affordable and still with the best care!  The office accepts most dental insurances and if need be there are financing readily available. SO WHAT?! In summary, I feel very trusted with Dr. Ho taking care of me. He entertains my concerns and provides the best care I am concerned of or in need. He is patient, loyal, professional, informed and utmost curteous. He is wholistic and collaborative—not only problem oriented but goal oriented for my needs. You go boy! The office is easily accessible from freeway, by mass transit or by foot and conveniently on Van Ness. If you know of anyone looking for a dentist for the well being of their teeth, cosmetic dentistry, or implant related concerns, do seriously consider Dr. David Ho. I love them—indeed aloha pumehana kane.

Dr. Ho provided the most professional and comfortable dental visit I have ever experienced. From the moment that Dr. Ho personally held the door open when I walked in and introduced himself, I knew I was in good hands. There were comfortable massage chairs in the lobby which I relaxed in while filing paperwork. The appointment started promptly on time, and Dr. Ho continued to impress me as he explained calmly what exactly it was he was going to be doing during my visit. He made sure to ask about any concerns I might have before beginning the oral examination. He was also very good about answering any questions I had during the process. The office was extremely clean and organized, and made use of high-tech equipment. However, the new equipment was not at all intimidating. Dr. Ho explained to me, “The new digital x-ray system emits 80% less radiation than a conventional system”. Awesome! Furthermore, I was able to view the digital photographs and x-rays right from my patient chair: Dr. Ho explained everything that was going on in a way I could easily understand. The office was able to book me a back-to-back appointment with a hygienist, which was very convenient. He was also extremely professional, and took thorough care to clean my teeth. The entire time this was happening, I was being entertained by my one of my favorite television shows, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, which they offered to play at my request. I just found my new dentist…and so did you!.

Amazing dentist (who says that about a dentist? He’s actually amazing) I will add to the many many rave reviews about Dr Ho because he is the man. Here are the reasons why going to Dr Ho’s office is the best: 1. Michelle- she runs the front desk and she is organized, goes the extra mile and the nicest lady. She even calls your insurance and figures out what your plan covers and gives you a clear idea of what your out of pocket costs will be- this can be the biggest hassle and they take care of it for you! 2. Comfort and Efficiency: I hate going to the dentist (who doesn’t?) because it’s stressful and uncomfortable. Well.. not when you’re at Dr Ho’s office. Not only is he and the entire staff super gentle, they also talk you through every procedure, are efficient, super calm and relaxing AND you get to watch Netflix while they work. One episode of 30 Rock later and your’e outta there. 3. There are massage chairs in the waiting room. MASSAGE CHAIRS. If that doesn’t convince you I don’t know what will. Dr Ho is the best!

Everyone who works at Dr Ho’s office is professional, helpful, and friendly. Appointments are on time and it is clear they take care in the work they provide. I’ve never felt pressured into any up-selling of services or goods as I have felt at other medical offices. Instead, I’m educated on my options and advised on different decisions I can make. They have also been super helpful explaining insurance costs. Having Netflix to watch during your appointment is an added benefit, too! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area!

My favorite dentist ever. I love the team at Dr. Ho’s office. I appreciate how communicative and clear the staff are, they make sure to inform you before they do anything! They’re great at text notifications for appointments and make the trip to the dentist such a breeze. Everyone is kind and very professional. During cleanings or procedures they play anything you’d like on Netflix. By far the most pleasant time I’ve had at the dentist in a long long time.

We are so glad that Dr. Ho’s business is doing well. Having been one of the first patients of Dave, we can see how much their business has thrived. We know family time and personal time will suffer when a new practice starts, but reading all the satisfied reviews is wonderful. My husband Rex no longer works in the city and hates the dentist, but after having met Dave and Michelle, he found his dentist for life. Dave is gentle, very caring, and thorough. He listens to what your concerns are and explains the procedure and process that needs to be done. Believe me, I have tried to make my husband’s dental life more convenient by trying to find a dentist close to home and well reviewed as well, and to be fair to him, he did try, but he will never leave Dr. Ho. And many continued years of success.

Getting a referral from a very good friend of mine, I’ve been going up to San Francisco quite often this year to see Dr. Ho for major dental work after a super long period of time refusing to see any dentist due to prior bad experiences. Dr. Ho is absolutely the most gorgeous dentist that I’ve ever met.  This is really the key point when you’re in need to get some major dental work done.  In-deed, he’s really skilled, professional, gentle, observant, considerate, kind, and super understanding that make a ‘nervous’ patient like me at ease.  I can watch a movie of my choice on Netflix and relax while he’s doing his work. I love my dentist.

Dr. Ho is by far the best dentist I’ve had in my entire life. I no longer fear or dread going to the dentist; it’s actually an enjoyable-enough experience! Dr. Ho is especially wonderful for those fearful of dental work, as he’s extremely gentle and kind.  Comfort seems to be his biggest priority (after providing high-quality dental care, of course):  He gladly uses nitrous if you want it, there are massage chairs and tea in his lobby, and he even offers “video goggles” so you can watch a movie while he works on your teeth!  His wife, Michelle, handles the administrative tasks of the office and she’s very, very sweet.  She’s knowledgeable about insurance issues and gets billing matters done efficiently and correctly. Dr. Ho will always do his best to accomodate your schedule so if you’ve been putting off going to the dentist either because you’re too busy or too terrified of dentists, this is the guy to call.  He changed my life!

A first heard about Dr. Ho from a trusted friend. I booked an appointment, and from then on it was my go-to place for top notch care! Dr. Ho and staff are friendly and efficient. Office manager Michelle did a wonderful job explaining my insurance while I sat comfortably in my massage chairs in the reception room. Dr. Ho is a top notch dentist. He explains everything in advance and goes to great lengths to make my visits pain free. Very clean office. The latest technology. Have recommended him to all my friends and family!

If you are going to another dentist, you are making the biggest mistake… EVER! Dr. Ho is extremely patient, kind, and understanding. I for one have never been a fan of dentists/doctors, but Dr. Ho goes to extreme lengths to ensure that I am comfortable. I truly appreciate how he thoroughly explains each step before it happens. It makes me feel more assured that the process will go smoothly. The option of watching a movie or tv show during the appointment also puts me at ease. He also takes a vested interest in his patients lives. He remembers major events and will ask for updates on your next visit. When he asks how you are doing, you can tell that he truly cares. You should definitely check him out!!!.
