David Wagner has been my dentist for almost 4 years now. I found out about David from other friends that also recommended him. It seemed like all of the people I knew only had great words about David. During all of this years David has been nothing short of amazing. From a professional standpoint he is as good as they come. He will always find the best solution for whatever problem you might have. He is never satisfied as long as the final result is not 110% perfect. Sometimes you might think the final job is perfect, but he might still find a little something to improve or change. Definitely a perfectionist, in the best sense of the term. Personality wise David is kind, warm, approachable and funny. He will make the whole experience even enjoyable. I know right. Dentist – enjoyable, what an oxymoron. David will also check on you regularly, making sure that every patient is recovering the best way possible. I think David is the best dentist I have ever had. Go see him.

Dr. David Wagner is more than a dedicated dentist. He is an artist and professor of dental photography at UCLA. He did a superb bonding job on my front teeth, which were chipped. They look like my own teeth should, perfect color, perfect shape. He is also great with all regular dental work, crowns, etc. Moreover, he doesn’t suggest doing anything more than what’s needed. Wagner and Dr. Pinar’s West Hollywood practice is first rate, from the customer service at the front desk to the hygienists to the interactions with the doctors. Easy, supportive and on-time. They are both easy on the eyes as well, if you are into that sort of thing. But I wanted to applaud Annette for her excellent service, for years. Annette has always been excellent at her job and at her customer service, like seeing a friend every six months. But she just did something for me that was so moving and touching; Annette went above and beyond the practice’s already excellent standards. I would tell you what it is, but it’s a long story… Suffice it to say, this is an amazing dental practice that I actually look forward to attending. Thank you Annette. I’ve been excited to write a review of this practice for awhile. BUT I decided to wait until after I got my veneers before doing so. Now I can say officially that this practice is the very best in the whole world…… well it sure is in my opinion. 1) for cleanings- amazing hygienists , super enthused and ebullient. Your time goes by so quick because they keep you entertained or can pick up quickly if you just need to zone out in quiet. Every six months I’ve come out feeling legitimately more confident and energized to go into the world. Clean, polished teeth are a game changer, that’s just how it is in the city of Los Angeles. 2) the two dentists – Dr. David Wagner and Dr. Dan Pinar are not your normal dentists. They are young, handsome, funny men who make you feel at ease( not what dentists are known for.) They are as quick with a smile or joke as they are with explicating very complicated jargon in a very discernible matter of fact way. They create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable , taken care of and informed. The former is a very difficult task and they do this effortlessly and with tact and timing and honest communication . I honestly look forward to the end of my cleanings, just to say hi to the two of them….. NOT KIDDING! 3) my veneers- I cant tell you how much this has changed my life. I broached the idea of getting veneers with Dr. Wagner six months ago casually at an appointment .I’ve had one veneer since I was quite young and it’s not color matched to the rest of my teeth nor did it allow me to whiten my teeth because the veneer would remain yellow . I also had a gap on my left side and my teeth were very uneven with spaces in the gums.Dr. Wagner made me feel very comfortable In elucidating not only what veneers would do for my appearance, but also detailed how the process would go step by step. I went from trepidation to excitement in ten minutes. It was three or four appointments through the process and a stop at a very state of the art laboratory ( maybe the coolest part.) the third appointment was the longest , which was implementing the temporary bonding. However, it was so comfortable that I actually fell asleep, during the procedure…… a little weird I know Finally, the final veneers went in and I was emotionally overwhelmed. I felt so different, so confident , so sharp! David made them perfect, they have character , they are NOT perfectly straight , one color, one texture, one shape. They ARE art, in the purest form. They convey emotion and warmth, they have a unique white coloring with different shades naturally coalescing into one wonderful smile. They are 100 percent me and my personality manifested in the thing that expresses that most….. my smil I could not be happier to refer David Wagner. I don’t need to though, the teeth do it for themselves. I swear people love them and all the time the same comment. ” Adam they are perfect, they are just so natural.” Thanks , thanks , thanks

Ok I have to admit the dentist has not always been my favorite place to visit. I hadn’t seen a dentist in awhile and I was semi nervous and it took some time for me to decide to come in. By far the best experience from the lovely people working the front desk to the assistant to the hygienist it was the absolute BEST experience I could have as a new patient. They were all very friendly and answered any questions I had, they were all smiles which really showed me they genuinely enjoyed their team. I had a cleaning then I came back for a filling and I have had a few fillings in the past and it was always a big fear of mine but David Wagner is the BOMB. I didn’t feel a thing a little prick here and there but nothing even near bad. Also I wasn’t left drooling on myself at all! I had experiences in the past where my whole face is numb but I feel them drilling still… no bueno. David Wagner is super nice and kept me informed with what he was doing the whole time. I really appreciated that. I suppose it helps that he’s very handsome, better in person so I’m just like yeah sure do what ya gotta do mr man. haha Funny stuff aside, It was a great experience and I will be sure to refer anyone I know to this awesome staff because it really takes a whole team to give such a great experience to dental patients. Dr. Wagner seems really just like everything you would want in a dentist. He is super thorough, smart, gentle, very clear about all your options, and all his advice. I come from a dentist’s family and I really like to be able to run everything by my father before i have dental work, and Dr Wagner has always been really great about helping me communicate complicated (or not!) dental jargon to my my dad. He gives you choices for how to proceed with your own care, but also tells you what he would do if it were his teeth. (which are beautiful, like a dentist’s should be!) And i really like that he takes pictures in addition to x rays. Very useful in decision making. Great office, both Dentists. I used to see Dr Pinar, but wound up with Dr Wagner because I was 25 minutes late and Dr Pinar was no longer available. I recommend them both very highly.

As a patient for more than 6 years (at least 15 appointments) , I can say the three dentists in this practice – Samuel, Videgain and Wagner, are awesome. Aside from the fact that all three are personable, reasonable and excellent dentists, they run a well oiled machine. This office is more efficient than any other medical or dental practice I’ve encountered in 40 years. No joke. I originally called to schedule a dental exam, but found out that my insurance might be out of network. The receptionist on the line, Erica (hope I spelled that right), immediately sensed my frustration and quickly offered to help me find out for sure. She called my insurance to get more details to assist me, even though she wasn’t even sure I’d become a patient. I was so impressed by the level of care that I opted not to look any further and scheduled an appointment. On the day of my dental exam, all of the receptionists were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. My hygienist was quick, efficient, and kind. Then Dr. Wagner greeted me with a big smile and proceeded to talk me through the details of my x-rays. He provided a few options, but suggested one in particular for the longterm health of my teeth. He also quickly fixed a sharp spot that developed on an old metal filling, which had been bothering me for some time. He’s one of the most personable dentists I’ve encountered, but he is also knowledgable and professional. I’d highly recommend him…although I may regret it if his calendar fills up so much that I can’t get an appointment myself haha. The facilities are bright, clean, and stocked with new technology and equipment without being flashy. I had a very positive overall experience and I am happily going back soon for a cleaning. This office is incredible!! Over the years I’ve seen Dr. Samuel but I recently had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Wagner. He is fantastic! He is so gentle and friendly. I grind my teeth and needed to get my teeth filed down. Instead of making a separate appointment to come back in, he did it right then- so easy, no pain and saved me a trip. It’s obvious he loves what he does and is on top of the latest technology. My husband is British and let’s just say his teeth were never a priority. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Wagner. He has really changed my mind about what your experience at the dentist should be like. I’ve been to a lot of dentists throughout the years, some great and some not so great, but Dr. Wagner stands out in a league of his own. He is extremely knowledgeable and good at his job while also being incredibly kind – an attribute that makes all the difference in dentistry. I get a bit anxious before dental work, but he really helps to calm my nerves and make me feel comfortable. The assistant was also good at what she does, but not quite as cognizant of the patient’s needs. She sometimes pinches my lip in between her instrument and my teeth, and occasionally smooshes my nose with her orange deflector paddle… but it’s completely worth it to be in Dr. Wagner’s care. The Santa Monica Dentists office where Dr. Wagner works is one of the best I’ve been to. The staff is always friendly and efficient at getting you in and out in a timely manner, the rooms are clean, and the environment is welcoming. I always leave with a smile when I visit. In summary, I would highly recommend Dr. Wagner to anyone looking for a great dentist in the Santa Monica or West LA area.

Going to the dentist gives most people major anxiety. I’m no different. I used to put it off as long as possible. But since I’ve started seeing Dr. Wagner, I don’t mind going at all. The exam itself was a breeze. you have a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills out the window. The cleaning and X-Rays were efficient and quick. He even fixed a little bonding I had fall off of my permanent retainer. Can’t say enough good things about him! I have never, ever liked going to the dentist, especially to have my teeth cleaned. But I no longer dread it since I have started going to see Dr Wagner and his team. Dr. Wagner makes you feel comfortable as soon as you sit down in the chair and listens to your concerns. He then tells you what each step is and checks in with you throughout the whole process. I unfortunately had to have two cavities filled recently, but Dr Wagner made the process as painless as possible, explaining everything as it went along. This entire office is the kindest, warmest and most helpful group of individuals I’ve had the pleasure of spending multiple consecutive mornings with. When I woke up with an infected wisdom tooth, I did a yelp search to see who was close to me and who opened earliest. It just so happened that this office was my first call. Even though I was a first time patient, they were able to get me in immediately that morning, understanding that I was in pain and needed to see someone. From there on, the treatment was outstanding. Dr. Wagner has an incredible bedside manner – very kind and gentle. Explains your options thoroughly. For me, that was – antibiotics OR try to get in for surgery. The front desk worked their magic with the nearby oral surgeon and was able to get me in for extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth THAT AFTERNOON. I was blown away by the unbelievable care for a first time patient. Post-surgery, I had a bit of an issue with the initially infected tooth. I called first thing in the morning again, in pain, and Dr. Wagner made the time to see me each consecutive morning to ease the pain, change the gauze and make sure I was healing okay. Every time I was waiting in the reception area, the front desk was amazingly friendly, warm and completely respectful of my work schedule and time. I can’t recommend this dentist and this office highly enough!! They are truly wonderful. I’ve already tried to get all of my co-workers over there!s

I suppose it helps that he’s very handsome, better in person so I’m just like yeah sure do what ya gotta do mr man. haha Funny stuff aside, It was a great experience and I will be sure to refer anyone I know to this awesome staff because it really takes a whole team to give such a great experience to dental patients. Dr. David Wagner and Dr. Dan Pinar practice dentistry together. They met 8 years ago when Dr. Wagner was looking to network with LA's like-minded and best dentists-- genuine, caring, friendly, and super talented with great practices made up of amazing patients. They realized they share a lot of common ground--Midwest roots, the love of big city life, high ethical standards, a commitment to creating a gentle and caring patient environment. This lead them to create a dentist partnership. Drs. Pinar and Wagner are passionate guys-- about enjoying life, about advocating for patients, about advanced learning and staying at the forefront of the profession, providing the highest level of dental care that is possible. Dr. Wagner received his DDS from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was born and raised. Upon obtaining his dental degree, he moved to Los Angeles and completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at UCLA, which focused on complex restorative dentistry, dental implants, TMJ and expertly evaluating patient's bites. Dr. Wagner then went on to complete the UCLA Aesthetic Program, where he further refined his in-depth understanding of the art of dental esthetics and the necessary treatment skills for optimal function and longevity. Dr. Wagner is a member of the Spear Faculty Club, one of the world's most accomplished and complete dental continuing education resources. Spear Faculty Club was created for dentists who are one hundred percent dedicated to their patients and who work diligently to constantly improve knowledge and skills and provide patients with exceptional dental experiences.
