I started seeing Dr. Dave in 1983 and would still be with him and his practice if I hadn’t moved out of state. My appreciation for him began with the concern he always had for my well-being and comfort as he worked on me. There was a time when I chuckled at something he said while working on my teeth; all hands and instruments flew out of my mouth instantly because he and his assistant thought they hurt me. Over the years I referred many folks to him and had many more say that they couldn’t believe that I looked forward to seeing my dentist. Competent and caring? Absolutely!!! Creative? Yup! Dr. Dave looks at dental health care as a partnership between himself and the patient; discussing every step of what’s needed and aiding the patient to make a wise and informed decision. I also thoroughly enjoyed the banter with him and his crew. Bad jokes? Of course! He didn’t get insulted when I groaned, though. And he was NEVER inappropriate with his humor or otherwise. His staff/partners are amazing, too. I’m a total fan and would whole-heartedly recommend him to anybody. I don’t know how I can be lucky enough to find a dentist even close to him in my new home state. Sorry, Kelvin, you missed it on this review!

Dr. Dave is the only dentist I’ve ever been to that truly makes the entire dental experience an enjoyable one. He talks to you pretty much the entire time he is working, making jokes, but also talking about super important things, too (I’m an educator and he has talked at large about how educators aren’t as respected as they should be… bonus points!). Visits are quick and painless. The front office staff treats you like you’re family. I got married in April and when I called to book my cleaning today, they remembered I was supposed to get married and congratulated me! I’ve been a patient there for the past 10 years or so and I am so happy with my experiences that I’ve recommended several people who are now patients there. I even paid my employer extra to “buy up” so that Dr. Dave was in my insurance plan. I can’t sing his praises enough.

Dr. Weiss is awesome and I highly recommend him to anyone. He is great with children also. He listens to your concerns and gives you a thorough response. My kids love him and are no longer afraid to see a dentist. He is gentle and patient and makes you feel comfortable whether your getting exams and a teeth cleaning or a cavity filled. The staff is wonderful and never have I had to wait for more than 5 minutes to be seen. His wife Daphne is amazing too! Highly recommended.

I will like to echo the previous writer in regards to Dr. Dave. My daughter began going to him at 6 years of age. Dr. Dave was so fantastic with her, that I started going to him also. My daughter is now 21 years old and she STILL enjoys going to see him. I thought my daughter was the only person that I know who enjoys going to the dentist…Dr. Dave. Thanks!

10 stars all the way around. Dr Weiss and Dr Jorge run a great office. Their support team is top notch and extremely friendly. You can’t help but feel at ease as soon as you are greeted upon entering the office. Dr. Jorge has a magic touch and is very personable each time see sees me. If you are looking for a new dentist, definitely give these guys a call. You’ll always be greeted with a happy face and leave with even a better smile!

Dr. Dave is the best. When I first arrived in Phoenix in1995 my teeth were nearly terminal. I was embarrassed that I let them get that way. Dr. Dave said, no big deal. We’ll take care of it. He did and has continued to do so and they’ve been in great shape ever since. Thanks, Dr. Dave.

My 14 year old son LOVES going to the dentist. TOP THAT. Seriously…anyone who is a parent of a teenager knows one thing for sure. It’s nearly impossible to please them. Make them smile? Rarely. Make them laugh? r-i-i-i-g-h-t. Watch them gleefully run to the car to visit the dentist? NEVER. Unless your dentist is “Dr. Dave” 🙂 I know that at least twice a year my teenager is reminded that I know a thing or two about something. I selected a PHENOMENAL DENTIST. Dr. David Weiss and his entire staff of fabulous people make you WANT TO GO to the dentist. It’s like visiting a family of friends-who happen to do something good for you and your mouth. This is the truth: I’ve referred at least 5 friends to Dr. Weiss and they all AGREE. The office of Dr. David Weiss OUTSHINES all others!

I have been seeing Dr. David Weiss for more than 20 years, with a few years away when I lived out of state. It was a relief to return to his practice. (One of the dentists I saw in another practice handed me a $14,000 “dental plan” after my first visit.) Dr. Dave was my children’s dentist when they were young, and they actually looked forward to going to see him! When my daughter had to have four teeth pulled to prepare for braces, he dropped ice cream at the house on his way home from work. She was thrilled. He has a great sense of humor and listens. Because of jaw surgery I had several years ago, I am a little hinky about having dental work done. My teeth and gums are a little sensitive, but Dr. Dave has always made me comfortable and has done great work. When I have had any problems, they work me into the schedule right away. The office staff is friendly and fun. If you’re looking for a competent, accommodating dentist in a great location, he’s your man.

Usually I limit Yelp reviews to retail businesses or restaurants, but when I saw the review by “Kelvin” I felt compelled to respond. My first visit with Dr Weiss was in 1992 and I’ve been seeing him ever since. I don’t know if Kelvin was on hallucinogenic drugs, but in 23 years I’ve never seen anything remotely like what Kelvin described. The Dr Weiss I know is extraordinarily skilled at keeping pain out of the appointment, frequently asks about my comfort, and has a nearly perfect touch when it comes to injecting anesthesia. The staff have shown the same level of skill and professionalism. I will admit that the Dr does like to joke around a bit, but never inappropriately. Kelvin, there’s no law against humor in a dental office. Some of us find it refreshing and actually an enhancement of the experience. You should try it sometime. No, folks, don’t be afraid to visit Dr Weiss. He’s skilled, up-to-date, and wholly professional in every aspect.

Incredible experience all around. Beautiful office with amazing views. Dr Dave Weis and his staff were incredible and very experienced. 5 stars. 100% recommended to anyone who needs a cleaning or dental work. Dr Dave Weiss also had a incredibly humorous personality which made the experience that much better. Thank you again!

Going to the dentist isn’t usually pleasant but coming here always is. I’ve been going here for over 4 years and it’s my favorite dentist pratice. The staff is excellent, the jokes are funny, and every visit is always a warm ray of sunshine. Dr. Dave is retiring from practice but has hand picked an awesome dentist, Dr. Ivette Jorge, to pass the torch to. It’s obvious why Dr. Dave picked her and she’ll continue to make the experience amazing (if not better). My plan was, and still is, to come here until I don’t have any teeth left to clean.

When you are in need of a top Phoenix, AZ Dentist, call David Weiss, D.D.S. He provides a variety of services from simple cleaning to more intensive dental work. I joined my father's practice when I graduated from dental school in 1979, and continued to practice in mid-town Phoenix since then. In 1979, after graduating from the prestigious dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, Dave worked for the Indian Health Service on the Tohono O’dom reservation, while building his private practice, joining his father, Michael Weiss, a Phoenix dentist since the early 50s. As his practice grew, Dr. Dave left the Indian Health Service, but continued his commitment to underserved people, by volunteering weekly at St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Mercy Care Dental Clinic, and now by seeing refugee patients, especially children. With 35 years of experience, Dr. Dave has “seen it all,” but he attends numerous continuing education courses to keep his skills and knowledge sharp, always with an eye to providing the best possible care for his patients. Quality, consistency and personal attention are hallmarks of David’s practice. He truly sees his patients as his dental family. Many have been with him for 30 years or more and he and his staff have watched children grow up, go to college, and have children of their own…who then become his patients. In his spare time, Dr. Dave enjoys scuba diving, sailing and is an avid cyclist. He co-founded a group of 50-some road-bikers who ride together three days a week. Known for his humor and easy-going style, Dr. Dave loves his work, looks forward each day to hearing what’s new in his patients’ lives—and keeping their smiles bright. “I consider myself very lucky to be able to work with the patients I have had through the years. Whether it’s a cosmetic procedure, a filling, a crown, a bridge an extraction or just a cleaning, I do my best to meet each patient’s needs. I’m honored by the trust my patients have in my abilities. In this age of impersonal medicine, I feel blessed to offer a personal alternative to the large faceless dental clinic.”
