This is the best Dentist practice I have ever been to. Everyone is super friendly. I have been going to them for years now and had cleanings, extractions.. etc and it has always been a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone and have bragged about them to friends and family. I am just totally satisfied with them and all their staff! Five stars from me!

Office staff is very friendly. I was taken on time for my appointment. The assistant cleaning my teeth did an excellent job without any discomfort. Dr. Deakyne was very thorough in his examination. I had to have 2 chipped teeth repaired today…. Deakyne Jr is the the BEST!! I was so nervous and scared… he took his time and was so kind. He takes your fear into consideration and that is amazing. I was a little apprehensive about getting my teeth cleaned in this Covid environment. Once I got there, my hygienist, Gail, explained everything in detail and put my mind at ease. Gail has been my hygienist for more years than I care to remember. When Dr. Nies took over Dr. Deakyne Sr’s patients, I was made to feel very comfortable with the change. Gail genuinely endorsed Dr. Nies and gave me a few examples of other patient’s experiences. Dr Deakyne Sr had been taking care of my teeth for over 40 years and had been my only dentist. Dr. Nies is great and I am as relaxed as I can be when I’m in his hands. The entire staff is wonderful and personable. Many of them have been with the practice for many, many years. That speaks positively about the organization as a whole. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my dental care.

I love going to Deakyne Dental as it is always a great experience. If I am having an issue, they do not hesitate to get me in to see JR. My children and grandchildren all go to this establishment and they treat them well. If you are getting a cleaning, crown, or even whiting your teeth, you will not be disappointed. I have recommended my New Castle County friends. I would not trade the staff for the world.

They extracted an upper molar and it was my first extraction. The staff was very friendly, professional, and fast. The doctor made sure I was informed and comfortable and accurately and patiently extracted my damaged tooth. It didn’t take long. Not much pain … I’d say I give Doc and his office an 11 out of 10 !! Had a cracked filling and was able to get an appointment the next day. Was seen ahead of my scheduled time. Staff was prompt, professional and took a quick oral history of my problem. X-rays were done. Dr. Deakyne evaluated the problem, and advised me of options. A decision was made to replace the filling and the entire procedure from removal of old filling to insertion on new one took 90 minutes. Procedure completely pain free. Excellent staff, service and total professions.

Called around the whole state yesterday in tears because I had such a bad tooth ache. No one was able to get me in the same day unless I was willing to pay $800-$1000. Was referred to this office & WOW! The woman on the phone was so sweet and reassured me that they’d be able to get me comfortable. Got a same day appointment, the most comfortable I’ve ever been getting dental work and I only had to pay a fraction of what other offices were quoting me. Highly recommend and definitely will be going back!

Absolutely amazing care from the second I walked in to the second I left. Every single staff member that I came into contact with was down to earth, friendly and nonjudgmental, down to Dr Deakyne himself. I have been seeing Dr. Deakyne since I was a child and now my son comes here as well. They are amazing with children (and every other age) My just turned 6 year old now loves”going the dentist. He had to go back by himself because of the regulations in place and he didn’t want to leave. it was his FIRSTtime. He also has some noise sensitivity asometines and I was worried about the noise from the cleaning, I told them about it and he was great! if you “don’t like dentists” or have anxiety, this place will definitely change your outlook. if you are just looking for a good dentist, this place is amazing. i have never had a bad experience coming here. Over the almost two decades, I have had cleanings and multiple fillings and a root canal with Dr Deakyne. We even commuted when we lived in Newark for a couple years because I didn’t trust to go anywhere else. I would definitely reccomend them.

Dr. David has helped me with two huge dental issues, with professionalism, caring and made my experience very relaxing. All my experiences with him and his staff have been wonderful. Once again this late summer 2018 the Deakyne office has been off the charts good. They are consistently friendly, helpful and will go an extra mile to make things right. There’s no other place for me than Deakyne Dental. I’d travel to get there but so glad I’m only about 5 blocks away. “:-Dx I have always had a sketchy relationship with dentistry. Dentists are fine people but starting with care as a child and the old equipment of the 50’s I’ve always avoided them, to my own hurt. After a recent lull in visiting for dental care, partially because of insurance and that was a good excuse not to go, it’d been 14 years since I have been for care. I had/still have multiple issues to deal with in there. However through a staff person I know from Deakyne Dental Associates I was kindly persuaded to go for a painful problem. After this visit I am going right back for more. The staff and my dentist and dental tech were so kind and caring. The atmosphere and office is so comforting and even cozy. I highly recommend anyone that can travel a practical distance to come to this dental group. I do not think you will be sorry at all and one visit will persuade you. “:-Dx

As someone who has a terrible white coat phobias, I was very upset to find myself in need of a dentist. I hadn’t been to one in quite some time. In excruciating pain, I called Deakyne Dental Associates, spoke to Sandy and Linda (who are both awesome), and Dr. Deakyne squeezed me in. He was kind, and didn’t berate me for being negligent about seeing a dentist regularly. Next week I see Dr. Nies (sp?) for an extraction, and I feel very much at ease about it. When health providers show true concern and compassion, it definitely makes for a better experience, even if some pain is involved. I highly recommend this group.

I have nothing to say but everyone at Deakyne Dental from day one were so warm and kind. When I go I feel so at ease thanks to Dr. Deakyne Jr. He knew that I had a fear of the dentist and he sat and talked to me until I was comfortable and calm. I have never sat in his chair and felt a moment of pain and I thank him and his wonderful staff for all of their patience and kindness , but most of all the excellent work Deakyne Jr. has done on my teeth.

My husband is here today for his cleaning however, this is my 1st time here and I’m very impressed with the office and the Atmosphere. The office is very nice well kept and very clean. The staff here are very polite and friendly and they greet you with a smile. We received advertisement about Deakyne Dental Associates in the mail and my husband decided to give them a try. I on the other hand, was a bit nervous considering we are new to Delaware. But when I asked our neighbor for a dentist referral she told us about Deakyne. She told us that she and her family have been coming here since her girls where little girls. Now that her daughter are grown they still come here for all their dental needs and their like family. Looks like we found a great dentist too!
