Hands down the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I always dreaded going to the dentist before but now I actually look forward to my next appointment! Dr. Reyes-Retana is highly skilled, extremely gentle, and so friendly I felt right at home within a few minutes. The rest of the staff is equally sweet and skilled. When I first started seeing Dr. Reyes, my teeth were in pretty bad shape due to not seeing a dentist in years. They were able to work with my insurance and schedule my treatments out over the next year in a way that fit my budget. I have found my dentist for life. I will never go anywhere else.

I’m pretty sure I’ve left a review before but I want to make sure this is heard. This is *HANDS DOWN THE BEST DENTIST IN THE WORLD*. Do yourself and your family a huge favor and don’t go anywhere else. The staff is wonderful and very great at their work. Dr. Reyes Retana is world class and I’ve never felt more trusting in a doctor/dentist to make good decisions and get the job done. There has never been a more pleasant and convenient dentist in my 55 yrs of living. Friendly and welcoming are only a couple of Deerfield’s professional attributes. I was so happy to find Deerfield Dental. Dr. Reyes-Retana was so nice to my children. She took time to explain in detail with us on their treatment and was very patient with them. It was the first time my 7 year old did not get scared and start crying! I now trust Deerfield Dental with all of our dental needs. Their administrative employees are so helpful with all my insurance needs. I will recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a good trusting dentist.

Excellent service, just all around. Went in for my first dental work in over 10 years, and despite the volume of work that I needed, the staff were extremely patient and pleasant to work with. My procedures were handled quite rapidly, the bulk of the work was done during my first visit, and the difference in my dental health is already quite profound. I’ll continue to visit the Deerfield Dental office for so long as I remain in San Antonio. I could not recommend them more highly.

I needed a good amount of dental work done and I’ve had a hard time finding a place that I felt met my needs and made me feel comfortable enough to commit to a treatment plan. This office has completely blown my expectations out of the water! Every member of their staff is kind and compassionate, especially the dentist. Such a fantastic experience! I went for a second opinion after a dentist said I needed 6 fillings, it didn’t seem right at all so I scheduled a free second opinion consultation. I was so relieved to find out I didn’t need any work! So happy to have found an amazing, honest dentist. Her staff was so friendly and helpful. This will be my family’s new dental home from now on.

I’ve been a patient here for around 6 months. I came in needing quite a bit of work done and this team has been there for me every step of the way. Finances have been a challenge, scheduling has been tough(I have a toddler at home) and I have severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist. They always help me find a way to work it out and get in and get taken care of. The Dr. makes sure you are comfortable and all of the assistants are top notch, too. The compassion you will receive here will change your attitude towards dentists in general if you’ve had bad experiences like I have in the past. I’ve had several procedures done at Deerfield Dental over the last few months and I absolutely recommend them highly.

There isn’t anything about Deerfield Dental and Dr.Reyes that I don’t LOVE! I really do feel like family and I am treated with love and care everytime I visit. The BEST part is that they are more than happy to cater to my change in pace with work and life when making appointments. I have never missed an appointment with Dr. Reyes but recently started a new career that will not allow me the flexibility I had with my previous job in setting appointments. As a result, Dr. Reyes and her team let me know that they understand how life can be and that they work with busy patients all the time. I am able to call a day or two ahead and work out a more convenient time to see the Dr. THIS is truly how you treat your patients like family. Thank you Deerfield for being the practice that puts me first.

We had to switch dentists for my daughter because of insurance, and I am so glad we found Deerfield Dental. Not only are they right around the corner from us (bonus!), everyone in the office had very positive attitudes and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. My daughter, who had just gotten her braces off, had her teeth cleaned and a full examination, and it was very thorough. The dental hygienist explained everything, answered all of our questions, and demonstrated proper brushing and flossing technique. Dr. Reyes was so personable and very professional. We didn’t feel rushed, and yet didn’t feel like we were kept waiting either. My insurance changes in January, and I hope Dr. Reyes is on my plan, because I will switch to her as well!

I give Deerfield Dental five stars simply because the Doc is very patient, professional, honest, and thorough. I have been coming here for a couple years now and Dr. Reyes and her husband are always very nice to me and any patient who comes to their office. Dr. Reyes and her staff always work with me to get the best possible care. I can’t imagine finding another dentist. I would highly recommend Deerfield Dental to anybody. From day 1 they have always provided exceptional service. Even when you walk in the office the environment is very comforting and accommodating. I also live 2 1/2 hours away but believe me it’s worth the trip. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Dr. Reyes Retana has been my dentist going on several years now and I love how comfortable and welcoming she makes me feel. Her office and staff are quick, professional, and will work with you to ensure your dental needs are met. I highly recommend her to anyone in the city. Her office is conveniently located in a plaza right off Blanco Rd. Close to Bitters and you’ll always have honest direct answers with her.

I brought my 2 1/2 year old here recently because I noticed a few stains on his front teeth. Everyone was friendly and good with kids. The dentist was kind and she was gentle with my son. He didn’t cry or squirm while she brushed his teeth with some kind of scrub that removed the stains. We left with clean white teeth and will be back for regular check-ups.

FInding a new medical professional in any field can be really daunting without a recommendation from friends or family so when I found Dr. Reyes-Retana I was really hoping all the great reviews were true and I can’t say enough how true they are. I have never found a doctor/optometrist/dentist that I have ever been so crazy about that I refused to go anywhere else until I found Deerfield Dental!!! A few of the reasons I genuinely love Deerfield Dental are: 1. Dr. Reyes-Retana has that trifecta personality that seems to be elusive in medical professionals. She manages to make you comfortable like an old friend while still maintaining the utmost professionalism so you never forget the lady knows her stuff, and she is informative without being condescending when breaking everything down for you. 2. Everyone in Dr. Reyes-Retana’s office from Cee at the front desk to every assistant that I’ve seen so far to Dr. Chu who just removed all 4 wisdom teeth for me (also excellent and MINIMAL pain) has been nothing but friendly, and I don’t mean the generic friendly you typically expect and is totally acceptable from people as busy as themselves, but truly and genuinely friendly, caring, and efficient. It’s a breath of fresh air!! 3. Her office feels youthful and full of life. That may sound strange, but I’m younger myself (24) and can I tell you one thing that makes me dread dentist offices the most is that I’ve always found them to be very stern, intimidatingly serious feeling places with older dentists who make you feel like you may have a finger wagged in your face and grounded for a month if you admit you haven’t flossed everyday. :/ Dr. Reyes-Retana and all her assitants are so chipper and fun that it puts you at ease and that comfort level creates for a much more relaxing experience that I don’t dread. MORAL OF THE STORY: Dr. Reyes Retana is quick, caring, but most importantly good at what she does. So if you were anything like me drowing in various Yelp reviews trying to find a good dentist who won’t waste your precious money, time, or insurance benefits, you can trust me when I say Dr. Reyes-Retana is a solid choice.

An absolutely friendly staff that takes time to explain the process throughout your visit. Dr. Reyes Retana assesses your actual dental needs, and works up a plan prioritizing any work that is recommended. I highly recommend Deerfield Dental if you’ve been holding off going to the dentist. Amazing Staff and the Doctor is so gentle and understanding and won’t let anything go unseen! I have had the best experience here with all of my heavy cleanings, fillings and soon to be more… I have always had a hard time numbing and uncomfortable at all times at the other dentist offices I have had work done at. But I am sticking with Deerfield Dental and won’t go anywhere else!!! Happy & Satisfied, and so ready for them to complete my beautiful smile! 

I have read several of the reviews posted, and I agree with everyone that gave 5stars. By far, the best Dental experience in my 50+ yrs. From setting the appt.to having my extraction. I cannot Express my appreciation for the staff,and the young lady that pulled my tooth. The professional, courteous, and comfortable attitudes left me feeling a ease. The procedure was pain free,literally I felt no pain. I now have a Dentist I can honestly say ,I will look forward to further visits. Great job ladies,ya’ll are awesome, sincerely James.

So I hate the Dentist because I’ve been to so many in my lifetime. I finally found the best. Get the bad out of the way 1st. So I had a biling issue which was taken care of nicely and promptly. Just know your insurance and you will be fine. Now to the amazing… Dr. Reyes Ratana is amazing and a very kind professional. She explained everything so easily and was just so nice and gentle. I immediately got that feeling of good people. So I ended up needing deep cleaning. Lina did an amazing job and was also so kind and gentle. She made sure I was calm and even gave me headphones for music, which I highly recommend because of the grinding noise. She gets major props because deep cleaning 2 quads at a time is back breaking. She showed me a water floss pick which is a game changer and I also highly recommend. This is a great office and everyone was so friendly. I recommend getting your teeth fixed here.

Best dental practice I’ve ever visited! The staff and Dr. Reyes are friendly and competent. They do an excellent job of making you feel comfortable and are aware of everything that will take place. I travel 2 hours from North Austin because I refuse to go to another dentist! I have already recommended several coworkers including my boss and best friend who are now patients of Dr. Reyes! I highly recommend Deerfield Dental for an amazing dental experience!

Dr Reyes-Rentana’s staff is beyond compare. They are ALL incredibly friendly and professional, and they like to cut up, too! You will walk in with a smile, and leave with an even bigger, albeit cleaner, one. No one likes going to the dentist, but they actually make you look forward to your visit. All of your questions about dental health are answered confidently, and they take the utmost care when treating you and are constantly concerned with your comfort. I can’t recommend them highly enough, you will not regret making an appointment!

So I absolutely dread going to the dentist. I just hate the sounds of the movie SAW playing in my mouth and expecting there to be a surprise of pain at any moment. I really really would prefer to do anything, even working out, then go to the dentist. But THIS dentist is amazing. Hands to God, today was the first time I have ever left a dentist appointment without my whole body feeling sore. I have always clenched and tightened up the whole time I’m sitting in the chair. No joke..sometimes I tighten up so much my feet lift from the table. But not today! Not today, folks! I was in the chair for a whole hour and did not clench! This dentist and her amazing crew are crazy lady whisperers. They are great! I highly recommend!

Dr. Reyes and her team are amazing!!! I have had the best experience with them once again. I refuse to go anywhere else, they know exactly what I need done and work with your always. My teeth are clean and feel great, and my fillings were quick and easy! They work with my work schedule. Being a single full time working mommy of three, its hard to get your health needs taken care of. The team is always prepared to get several needs completed in one visit. Things are always completed in a timely fashion, and I have no soreness or discomfort during or after the type of cleanings I needed and fillings. 🙂 I highly recommend this dental team for your oral needs of any kind! And no I am not just saying this to make them look good, I really have had horrible experiences in the past. Deerfield Dental Is Amazing!!

I never thought that I would actually LOVE my dentist! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. Every employee is wonderful and friendly and I always feel comfortable while in the office. I have had quite a few terrible things done in the past few years (including a tooth being pulled and a root canal) and I was not nervous at all. Dr. Reyes is so sweet and professional. I always know I am in good hands. I tell everyone I know about Deerfield Dental as I am confident that it is the BEST office in town!

Dr Reyes made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I have MAJOR anxiety when it comes to dental work & the staff here is SO FREAKING NICE. Like just honestly the best people ever. Highly recommend this place. For new patients it’s only a $49 exam & Xray then you have payment options. Like you can pay on it up to your appointment date which is nice.

Dr Reyes Retana is awesome and always makes you feel comfortable. Staff is friendly and courteous. If you’re short on time, you’ll be in and out in 45 mins. They are always on time and efficient in all they do. They also have great technology I’ve not experienced at other dentist offices.

Nobody likes going to the dentist and if you do… it’s not normal but Dr. Reyes-Retana makes going to the dentist a bearable experience. Dr. Ana Reyes Retana is great and personal able. She explains everything well and her team makes you feel very welcome each time. Their scheduling is accommodating when you need to change your appointment or need an urgent appointment. I highly recommend Deerfield Dental and you wont be disappointed.

I cannot recommend Deerfield Dental enough! I have always had really great experiences here, for myself, my husband, three children and extended family and friends. The staff has always been so wonderful and helpful but most of all, the gentle and kind dentistry that Dr. Ana Reyes-Retana performs. She really takes the time to know you, to listen to you and most of all is super gentle, thorough, and explains everything! You will instantly feel at ease with her and know that your in the greatest hands in the dentistry industry. I recommend her to everyone I know and she’s never disappointed. Dr. Reyes & her staff are prestigious. From the moment you book an appointment with them, you know you are in great hands. I had a procedure done by Dr. Reyes last year and when my insurance changed I had to find another dentist. I can not tell you how sad I was to leave. THANKFULLY my job changed insurance again this year and it is one they accept! Just had an extraction done this week and I am extremely satisfied with the results. Dr. Reyes is SO kind and genuine with her patients. She understands how scary the dentist can be for some people and truly takes the time to make her patients feel comforted and secure. This is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. I’d also like to recognize her STELLAR staff. Melanie/Melody (I’m so sorry, I keep getting it messed up) stayed on hold with my old dentist for literal hours trying to get my dental records sent over. She really went above and beyond for me. Best kept secret in San Antonio! I do not like going to the dentist, but Deerfield Dental makes the experience better. My whole family has been seen at the clinic, and they are great with children as well as adults. I believe they even give free paraffin wax treatments and other spa offerings. The best part for me is that the office staff always helps me figure out the best payment options and does a great job of dealing with my insurance companies. They have also been great about scheduling my appointments. I also noticed they had some awards hanging on the wall about being voted best dentist in San Antonio by their peers. Well, they have my vote as a patient as well!

I was so self conscious about my smile, I went in for my exam and everyone was so nice and helpful. They really take the time to talk to you and work with you coming up with a treatment plan. They really put in that extra effort to make me relax because they knew I had a fear of the dentist. The lobby, reception area and all the rooms are CLEAN and organized. The staff is a five star and Dr Reyes continue to impress me and help me feel at ease every time. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for them! Thank you thank you thank you!

I cannot lie and say that I enjoy having dental work done. However, If I must endure such an experience, there is nowhere that I would rather be. I feel safe and confident that the staff and the dentist are more than competent. They do their best to handle problem patients such as myself with kindness, compassion, and understanding. I had the best dental experience EVER @ Deerfield Dental! I went on the referral of a good friend. I had been to another dental clinic and was given an incorrect and expensive diagnosis, so grateful I got a second opinion! Totally professional, personable, efficient, and pain-free experience, Dr Ana Reyes is so gentle and caring! Had my first cleaning with a male hygienist Saul, he was tops!!! First dental consultation was $2500. Dr Reyes’ treatment totaled $127.00, a fraction of the first quote. Always get a second opinion or a first choice and make it Deerfield Dental. To say I am Grateful is an understatement!!
