Dr. Oro was recommended to me by a friend. And I can see why. He is a great dentist. I have been to his office twice now, and he does a thorough job and is a nice guy. He does the cleanings himself and has an assistant as well. My mom is a hygienist so we’ve chatted about that both times, and last time we talked about Filipino food for half my appointment. He is very personable and friendly. I try to take good care of my teeth and thankfully my teeth have been in good health both times I’ve been here so I haven’t had any fillings here yet. The office can be a little confusing to find at first. Buzz 1B which says Dr. Oro, not 1A that says Dental Arts at Lex. I made that mistake and wasn’t getting anyone at the door. 1B will get you to the front desk. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I have been going to Dr. Oro at Dental Arts since I moved to New York seven years ago. I can honestly say that while it is a trip to the dentist, it is one of the quickest, most reliable, and pain-free appointments you can have in this crazy city. The dental services are top quality and state of the art. Dr. Oro talks you through each step of whatever procedure you’re having done and is always checking to make sure you’re comfortable. Only one time in the dozen or so times I’ve been in did I have a slight lingering side effect (ultimately related to the numbing agent), and Dr. Oro had me not only come back in right away for a second look but then also subsequently called me at home several times to follow up. This is top notch dental care. On top of the excellent quality of work, the service is exceptional too. I’ve never had a problem changing an appointment, and always receive a reminder phone call from the receptionist the day before I’m scheduled to come in. Also, it’s a breath of fresh air to have a doctor who is always, and I do mean always, on schedule. I think the longest I have ever had to wait in the waiting room to be brought back is about 45 seconds. From there, I usually return within about 30 minutes and am out the door to get on with my day, it’s that fast. Another bonus: the office is located half a block from the F train station, 63rd/Lexington.

As someone who is scared to death of get cleanings, needles,etc, I highly recommend Dental Arts. Just the best! Everyone from the receptionists to the dentists are the so nice. I have referred many people over the years and all the feed back that I ever have gotten is that they are amazing!

I’ve been going to Dr. Oro and Dr. Morado for the past 17 years. I’d honestly be lost without them. Prior to going to them, I had been to several dentists and was dissatisfied to say the least. I have never, ever felt scammed or as if they were trying to misdiagnose me to make an extra dime. So, I would definitely ignore the 1 star reviews. They couldn’t be more far from the truth. If you are considering using Dr. Oro or Dr. Morado, dont hesitate and jump on the next available appointment.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Oro. My husband, daughter and I have all been going to him for many years and he is practically part of the family at this point. He remembers everything about us and asks all about how we’re doing at every visit. He recommended an orthodontist for our daughter’s braces who we were very happy with. And our daughter, even at the age of 7, actually looked forward to going to the dentist! He and his practice are fantastic and we are so sad that we live in NJ now and too far to continue seeing them.
