(…) I convinced my husband that Dr. Calilung was not like the rest.  He would give him the truth and that he would at least have the information to make a good decision on what to do with his dental health.  He FINALLY agreed to a cleaning and check-up.  Dr. Calilung was so GREAT with him.  He started out finding common ground with him, making him comfortable and just talking to him like a friend, which he is so great at because it’s authentic.  He gently cleaned his teeth, did the minimal, did x-rays, and gave my husband a small list of realistic goals to make his mouth healthy over the next 3 years. That put my husband’s mind at ease and I could not believe it, but we were not even to the car and my husband said that it was the best experience with a dentist he had ever had in his entire life. I was so thrilled to hear that and agreed with him that it went really well.  My husband knows that he has work to do on his mouth, but baby steps works really well for him, which will allow him to get more work done instead of absolutely nothing and refusing altogether (…).

I have Sleep Apnea, pretty bad. For many years, I felt sleepy from morning till night, not feeling rested at all. I could fall asleep almost anywhere, even walking, without knowing that I had sleep apnea. After the sleep test, I got a call from Dr. Calilung, who told me he can help. He is truly a very pleasant and cheerful individual and put me at ease at once. He showed me the device, like a night guard for teeth grinding, but double layer for both the upper and lower teeth. Dr. Calilung also talked to me about the right diet, doing work out for fitness and health.
I have used the device for almost 3 weeks now. I feel really good, rested and energetic. Before I had to take a nap daily and drink many cups of tea. My complexion was kind gray… Now I feel fresh and I don’t take that nap anymore because I am awake! That little magic device enables me to inhale more oxygen during sleep, which repairs my cells, nourish the organs … What a big difference Dr. Calilung has made in my life! Thank you!!! Dr. Callilung is my dentist for over 5 years. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and cheerful. I think those are the most important things one should look for in a dentist. He never tries to sell me things after a cleaning like other dentists. And I don’t get annoying calls from his office asking me to go in to get my teeth checked like other dentists. He is one of those popular dentists that always have business because he is so good at what he does.
I actually introduced many of my coworkers to go see him and they all loved him too. He is the talk of our office – Best Dentist in Irvine!

The first time I came to Dr Calilung I had found him on the directory – i wanted to see him because he had laser cleaning – my teeth were so bad I couldn’t even do a cleaning without bleeding and hurting – now over 20 years after, he is still my dentist. I am not embarrassed about smiling anymore and my teeth are beautiful. When I lived in Colton I would drive to Irvine just to see him. I don’t trust my teeth to anyone else. I highly recommend.

I’ve been to a lot of dentists, and Dr. Calilung is probably the best I’ve seen so far. You can tell that he has a passion for his work, and he really cares about his patients. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the results of my x-ray, and also helped explain ways I can prevent tooth-related problems in the future–both in terms of maintenance and lifestyle.
I had a root canal with him earlier today, and the procedure was fast and painless. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. I plan on visiting him for many years in the future.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Calilung for around 20 years now. He and his staff are extremely caring and professional. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure our family’s dental health and general well being is at its optimum. We are treated like family members and always feel comfortable when we arrive. My kids, 13 and 8, love going to Dr. Calilung’s office. Need I say more?!

Dr. Calilung is a great and friendly dentist. I absolutely will recommend his services to my friends and family. His staff is wonderful and very helpful. Dr. Calilung is not like other dentists who will take advantage of your money. The facility is clean, there’s tons of parking and easy to get a schedule.

Doctor Xerxez is extraordinarily knowledgeable in his field. Made me feel right at home even though I was going to be very nervous over my procedure. When all was said and done I know that my life is going to make a drastic improvement for the best. This will not be my only review for this gentleman. Thank you, Doctor X, you are the man.

Dr. Calilung is among the finest of dentists.  I have been a patient of his for over 20 years.  At the time of my first appointment, another dentist had recommended removing several of my teeth.  Dr. Calilung took the case in hand, saved all of my teeth, and brought my mouth back to full health.  He is careful, observant, and dedicated; he explains all procedures in clear terms and gives excellent advice for maintaining dental health.  His staff is courteous and expert.

I was in urgent need of dental care after I cracked a tooth while visiting a friend Irvine. Since I couldn’t go to my own dentist and wasn’t familiar with the area, I had to rely on her recommendation for her dentist and I’m glad she did! When I got, there (+1 for being open Saturdays) Dr. Xerez took a look at me and said I needed a root canal which of course freaked me out. But the staff was super friendly and he was uber awesome during the procedure and I was in and out relatively quickly. Although I wouldn’t want another root canal, at least I now have a trusted dentist in the SoCal area if I ever needed one.

Dr. Calilung is incredible! I told him about my snoring and how I don’t always sleep through the night. After going through his process, I learned that I was at risk of sleep apnea! In case you don’t know, sleep apnea can be a serious health risk. I certainly didn’t want to wear a CPAP mask and Dr. Calilung fitted me with a custom oral appliance that he fitted which I wear at night. My snoring has stopped!! Best of all, I feel rested. If you snore, I absolutely recommend that you make an appointment with Dr. Calilung. He can fix it!

I have been to many dentists in my lifetime. I come from a family with bad teeth. Dr. Calilung has made a big impact for me due to his true sincerity, honesty, skilled and professional talent of his dentistry work. It is my absolute pleasure to call Dr. Calilung my dentist. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Calilung for a number of years. We have always found him to be a gentle and caring dentist.  He explains what your options are if your situation is out of the ordinary and doesn’t try to push you into unnecessary procedures.  Dr. Calilung and his staff are friendly caring people. We usually arrive a bit early for appointments and are usually taken right away.

I have been to several dentists in Irvine and I have to say Dr. Calilung and his staff are one of the best. He is very friendly, affable, and professional. I went there for one root canal, filling, and a crown. He did a fantastic job and also got me a very good price. Whenever I go there its like visiting a good friend that I can trust on.

(…) When Dr. Calilung showed me the mirror after fixing the first 4 front teeth all I wanted to do was smile and of course cry because I had never seen MY SMILE look so BEAUTIFUL!!! I never want to go to another dentist and hope to bring my children one day to see him. When you find someone who treats you like they would treat their family, you know you’re in good hands! He’s incredibly professional, highly trained (USC grad and still teaches there AND his daughter is going to dental school as well. I’ve been seeing Dr. Calilung for about four years now and he’s the absolute best. He always makes room for me in his schedule when I have a dental emergency and within an hour I’m out of pain. His procedures are as painless as I’ve ever had with a dentist and his work looks great. During our appointments, he explores the way my dental health affects other areas of my life. Dr. Calilung is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had.  I moved to Irvine a few years back, and wanted to find the best dentist in Irvine, tried around 7 different dentists before going to Dr. Calilung. Then I never want to try anyone else after seeing him. I am the type with bad teeth, cavities on almost every tooth. But Dr. Calilung (…) he fixed all my cavities, and he is so quick and good every time.  He is the type of doctor that is so experienced that he always has an answer to anything and everything that is going in your mouth.
And the staff that are very friendly. It has always been a great experience every time I go to get my teeth cleaned. Now I finally have perfect teeth! Thanks to him!

Dr. Calilung is a very professional and knowledgable dentist. He genuinely cares for his patients. I’m very squeamish about going to any dental clinic, but Dr. Calilung is someone I completely trust to give me top-notch quality care. My husband and daughter feel so comfortable going to his clinic. I travel to Irvine from Corona just to for my dental needs.  The BEST DENTIST I have ever had.  I would recommend to anyone.  My family and I have been going to him for almost 10 years now.  I would not change, even if gas prices go to 10.00 a gallon.

Dr Calilung has been my dentist for a very long time.  Probably since we moved to Irvine some 20 years ago. He always explains to me about the treatment that I need, and which one is more urgent than the others. Dr Calilung and his mother and his staff treat me like a family member. (…) When he did this he explained it takes a few extra seconds to ensure a patient is okay – and he cares about holistic health care, not just oral health. He then did my entire cleaning start to finish, whereas, with past dentists, the assistants have always done this and my dentist just came in and looked over my teeth at the end. He said a few of my fillings might need to be redone, but said we would watch them every 6 months to determine whether or not to move forward. He pointed out why that was on my X-rays and trust he will do a great job when the time comes.
In short, if you’re looking for a dentist in the OC area, use Dr. Calilung! You will be treated like family and be supporting a family-run business.

I love Dr. Calilung. He is the most wonderful and gentle dentist I’ve ever had (and he’s pretty funny too). Through his patience and persistence, he was able to do miracles with my teeth! Dr. Calilung has been my dentist for the past eight years. I have only the highest praise for him. Dr. Xerxes Calilung is kind, patient, reassuring and puts you at ease. His procedures (such as crowns and fillings) are painless and time-efficient. His staff is always so helpful and courteous as well. Xerxes is obviously technically highly proficient as well. He has worked on my teeth in a number of different ways and the result has always been excellent – no complaints. In addition, whenever I’ve had an emergency he always is on call and will get back to me promptly, even if it’s on the weekend! If you choose Dr. Calilung to be your dentist you will be very satisfied with him and his service. I recommend him to all patients that have dentist phobias.

Dr. Calilung is great! I came in with teeth grinding and a resulting gum infection and he treated me and fit me for a mouthguard on the same day. He really looks at the body holistically and was able to make connections between my sleeping habits and the issues I was having with my mouth and stomach. His receptionists are kind and attentive and Dr. Calilung has s great bedside manner. Thank you!!!

Dr. Calilung gave me my best early Christmas gift: my two front teeth! It was knocked out by accident, with much pain and bloodshed. Lucky my wife finds me the doctor. First, he aligned the tooth. Then he did a root canal. A month past, though I can not eat it with front teeth. The tooth is getting better. I can tell the difference when Dr. CAlilung worked on my teeth, very gentle and not much pain. Thank you, on behalf of my two front teeth.

I have been going to Dr. Calilung for over 5 years now and feel he is a wonderful dentist!  I am always able to get an appointment, he sees patients as early as 7:00 a.m., which is very convenient for working professionals and is also accommodating to my schedule.  His staff is consistent, thorough and extremely professional.  Dr. Calilung always answers any of my questions and takes the time to examine my teeth and review my oral care.  The cleanings are always excellent, never rushed.

Both of my front teeth were cracked and another tooth completely broken in the back. It was really embarrassing. I work in a fast-paced field here in Irvine and Orange County. First impressions are everything in my business. I always lacked confidence because of my front two teeth being broken. I used another dentist before Dr. Xerxez who was great but I just couldn’t afford the price as I don’t have insurance. Dr. Xerxez gave me a great price and my smile looks brand new. If you’re looking for a dentist who can keep you calm and make you laugh at the same time Dr. Xerxez from Dental Arts of Irvine is your man. Also, another thing is my girlfriend suffers from Sleep Apnea and he was able to help her with that.

(…) They knew I was in pain and Dr. Calilung was concerned more about ME and not what insurance I had (which is none) or how I was going to pay. He took Xrays, gave me Novocaine for the pain, took a look and told me exactly what needed to be done. This was the first time I have EVER been to a dentist and didn’t have the Dr. juggling 6 patients in different rooms, or sending his office manager to upsell me on everything including a leather carrying case for teeth whitening mouthpieces. Dr. Calilung stayed with me the entire time it took him to finish, HE explained everything to me, said he would work with me since I didn’t have insurance and made me feel 100% comfortable. After I left, HE followed up with me, he actually texted me from his personal cellphone, ON THE WEEKEND. I had to take antibiotics before he could work on my tooth since the infection was so bad, he actually had me in on a Saturday to get the procedure done (…).
