(…) I convinced my husband that Dr. Calilung was not like the rest.  He would give him the truth and that he would at least have the information to make a good decision on what to do with his dental health.  He FINALLY agreed to a cleaning and check-up.  Dr. Calilung was so GREAT with him.  He started out finding common ground with him, making him comfortable and just talking to him like a friend, which he is so great at because it’s authentic.  He gently cleaned his teeth, did the minimal, did x-rays, and gave my husband a small list of realistic goals to make his mouth healthy over the next 3 years. That put my husband’s mind at ease and I could not believe it, but we were not even to the car and my husband said that it was the best experience with a dentist he had ever had in his entire life. I was so thrilled to hear that and agreed with him that it went really well.  My husband knows that he has work to do on his mouth, but baby steps works really well for him, which will allow him to get more work done instead of absolutely nothing and refusing altogether (…).

I have Sleep Apnea, pretty bad. For many years, I felt sleepy from morning till night, not feeling rested at all. I could fall asleep almost anywhere, even walking, without knowing that I had sleep apnea. After the sleep test, I got a call from Dr. Calilung, who told me he can help. He is truly a very pleasant and cheerful individual and put me at ease at once. He showed me the device, like a night guard for teeth grinding, but double layer for both the upper and lower teeth. Dr. Calilung also talked to me about the right diet, doing work out for fitness and health.
I have used the device for almost 3 weeks now. I feel really good, rested and energetic. Before I had to take a nap daily and drink many cups of tea. My complexion was kind gray… Now I feel fresh and I don’t take that nap anymore because I am awake! That little magic device enables me to inhale more oxygen during sleep, which repairs my cells, nourish the organs … What a big difference Dr. Calilung has made in my life! Thank you!!! Dr. Callilung is my dentist for over 5 years. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and cheerful. I think those are the most important things one should look for in a dentist. He never tries to sell me things after a cleaning like other dentists. And I don’t get annoying calls from his office asking me to go in to get my teeth checked like other dentists. He is one of those popular dentists that always have business because he is so good at what he does.
I actually introduced many of my coworkers to go see him and they all loved him too. He is the talk of our office – Best Dentist in Irvine!

The first time I came to Dr Calilung I had found him on the directory – i wanted to see him because he had laser cleaning – my teeth were so bad I couldn’t even do a cleaning without bleeding and hurting – now over 20 years after, he is still my dentist. I am not embarrassed about smiling anymore and my teeth are beautiful. When I lived in Colton I would drive to Irvine just to see him. I don’t trust my teeth to anyone else. I highly recommend.

I’ve been to a lot of dentists, and Dr. Calilung is probably the best I’ve seen so far. You can tell that he has a passion for his work, and he really cares about his patients. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the results of my x-ray, and also helped explain ways I can prevent tooth-related problems in the future–both in terms of maintenance and lifestyle.
I had a root canal with him earlier today, and the procedure was fast and painless. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. I plan on visiting him for many years in the future.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Calilung for around 20 years now. He and his staff are extremely caring and professional. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure our family’s dental health and general well being is at its optimum. We are treated like family members and always feel comfortable when we arrive. My kids, 13 and 8, love going to Dr. Calilung’s office. Need I say more?!

Dr. Calilung is a great and friendly dentist. I absolutely will recommend his services to my friends and family. His staff is wonderful and very helpful. Dr. Calilung is not like other dentists who will take advantage of your money. The facility is clean, there’s tons of parking and easy to get a schedule.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Calilung for a number of years. We have always found him to be a gentle and caring dentist.  He explains what your options are if your situation is out of the ordinary and doesn’t try to push you into unnecessary procedures.  Dr. Calilung and his staff are friendly caring people. We usually arrive a bit early for appointments and are usually taken right away.

I have been to several dentists in Irvine and I have to say Dr. Calilung and his staff are one of the best. He is very friendly, affable, and professional. I went there for one root canal, filling, and a crown. He did a fantastic job and also got me a very good price. Whenever I go there its like visiting a good friend that I can trust on.

(…) When Dr. Calilung showed me the mirror after fixing the first 4 front teeth all I wanted to do was smile and of course cry because I had never seen MY SMILE look so BEAUTIFUL!!! I never want to go to another dentist and hope to bring my children one day to see him. When you find someone who treats you like they would treat their family, you know you’re in good hands! He’s incredibly professional, highly trained (USC grad and still teaches there AND his daughter is going to dental school as well. Thought that was really sweet because her dad’s wonderful practice was probably an inspiration!)
On another note, his team is super friendly, caring, and always welcoming! I could tell they were just as excited as Dr. Calilung to see me smile again! Thank you guys all so much for giving me the confidence to SMILE AGAIN!!! =D

I’ve been seeing Dr. Calilung for about four years now and he’s the absolute best. He always makes room for me in his schedule when I have a dental emergency and within an hour I’m out of pain. His procedures are as painless as I’ve ever had with a dentist and his work looks great. During our appointments, he explores the way my dental health affects other areas of my life. Dr. Calilung and his staff are outstanding. I have now had 2 crowns and one cavity filled. On each occasion,. it was treated quickly, professionally, and painlessly. I wish that I had found him sooner! I have no hesitation in recommending him highly.

Dr. Calilung is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had.  I moved to Irvine a few years back, and wanted to find the best dentist in Irvine, tried around 7 different dentists before going to Dr. Calilung. Then I never want to try anyone else after seeing him. I am the type with bad teeth, cavities on almost every tooth. But Dr. Calilung (…) he fixed all my cavities, and he is so quick and good every time.  He is the type of doctor that is so experienced that he always has an answer to anything and everything that is going in your mouth.
And the staff that are very friendly. It has always been a great experience every time I go to get my teeth cleaned. Now I finally have perfect teeth! Thanks to him!

Dr. Calilung is a very professional and knowledgable dentist. He genuinely cares for his patients. I’m very squeamish about going to any dental clinic, but Dr. Calilung is someone I completely trust to give me top-notch quality care. My husband and daughter feel so comfortable going to his clinic. I travel to Irvine from Corona just to for my dental needs.  The BEST DENTIST I have ever had.  I would recommend to anyone.  My family and I have been going to him for almost 10 years now.  I would not change, even if gas prices go to 10.00 a gallon.

Dr Calilung has been my dentist for a very long time.  Probably since we moved to Irvine some 20 years ago. He always explains to me about the treatment that I need, and which one is more urgent than the others. Dr Calilung and his mother and his staff treat me like a family member. I would recommend anyone to see Dr Calilung for his or her dental care.

Both of my front teeth were cracked and another tooth completely broken in the back. It was really embarrassing. I work in a fast-paced field here in Irvine and Orange County. First impressions are everything in my business. I always lacked confidence because of my front two teeth being broken. I used another dentist before Dr. Xerxez who was great but I just couldn’t afford the price as I don’t have insurance. Dr. Xerxez gave me a great price and my smile looks brand new. If you’re looking for a dentist who can keep you calm and make you laugh at the same time Dr. Xerxez from Dental Arts of Irvine is your man. Also, another thing is my girlfriend suffers from Sleep Apnea and he was able to help her with that.

(…) They knew I was in pain and Dr. Calilung was concerned more about ME and not what insurance I had (which is none) or how I was going to pay. He took Xrays, gave me Novocaine for the pain, took a look and told me exactly what needed to be done. This was the first time I have EVER been to a dentist and didn’t have the Dr. juggling 6 patients in different rooms, or sending his office manager to upsell me on everything including a leather carrying case for teeth whitening mouthpieces. Dr. Calilung stayed with me the entire time it took him to finish, HE explained everything to me, said he would work with me since I didn’t have insurance and made me feel 100% comfortable. After I left, HE followed up with me, he actually texted me from his personal cellphone, ON THE WEEKEND. I had to take antibiotics before he could work on my tooth since the infection was so bad, he actually had me in on a Saturday to get the procedure done (…).
