Just felt compelled to write a review. Dr. Christensen was my dentist for years ( too many to say) and I never had any complaints. it was the best move that he ever did starting his own practice and I can say things have only gotten better and better. We recently moved to Salt lake City and you know the old saying ” you don’t know what you have until its gone”, well, we knew that we would sorely miss Mark and his team even before we left and it is still true today, four months after relocating. It is hard to find professionals that you trust and know that they have your best interests and health in mind and Dr. C and his team have that. Nobody could go wrong putting their dental health in their hands. After first seeing Dr. Christensen to fix all of the B.S. other dentists had done and get my oral health back on track, it was just routine cleanings for years and that is exactly what he wants for all of his patients. Dr. C, thanks for your outstanding service over the years, thanks for being so kind to my service dog Wilson and sorry I’m not close enough to bring you fish anymore. I’m moving out of the country and came for a cleaning and exam before leaving because not all dentists are created equal (or are equally trustworthy), especially overseas. Dr. C is one of the good ones, on both counts, and I knew that I could trust anything that he told me about my dental health. I didn’t want to end up in a foreign country and be told I needed work done, and have no idea if I really did or if the dentist was even competent to perform it! Dr. C has performed dental work for me before and he always makes sure the process is as comfortable as possible, and done well. I never have to seek a second opinion, and more than once he’s told me no action was needed and just to keep an eye on things (and floss, of course). It’s nice to know that I have trustworthy, skilled dentist in the US if I’m not so lucky to find a good dentist abroad!

This office is fantastic from Dr. Christensen to all of his staff! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment quickly and my visits have been so pleasant. I needed 2 fillings and I barely felt the injections. The doctor and dental assistant worked so well together to get the filings taken care of for me. Joanna in the front office is very nice and works quickly as well. I met the hygienist who was very friendly and I can’t wait to get my teeth cleaned in 2 weeks. I highly recommend this office! Such a great team & awesome Doctor!

My entire family goes to this dentist, I have had many different dental procedures such as a crown and a filing here. I do all my yearly dental maintenance here and regular dental visits. I even bring my 4 year old here for Dr. Christensen to look at his teeth and Dr. Christensen is such a easy going fun guy he is always great with my son. I have had nothing but great experiences here for many years as well as my family having nothing but good things to say about Dr. Christensen.

First visit was today and I found my new dental office! What a wonderful staff and the dentist is excellent. The staff were patient, careful, and put me right at ease. Front office is clean with friendly manager who actually takes time to talk through everything and let’s you ask questions. I’m beyond impressed with everyone in this office. Unfortunately I have 2 cavities, so I’ll be back soon, but was pleasantly surprised that the prices are affordable.

Let me start off by saying I HATE the dentist, however I had such a great first appointment here. My husband came a while ago and said they were good, but I was still hesitant. Being 25 weeks pregnant I needed to get my teeth cleaned due to pregnancy and the fact it’s been awhile since I’ve been in last. I had Tatiana (I believe that was her name) clean my teeth and she was great. Her bubbly personality really made the cleaning easier. I really liked that she told me EXACTLY what she was doing. Dr. Christensen was just as awesome. They couldn’t do X-rays, but still managed to get a good idea what was going on with my teeth. He was easy to talk to and didn’t push any “further treatments” (to make a extra buck). They seem to genuinely care about their patients. Let’s just say, this office was so welcoming, I don’t dread my next appointment.

Being a model, I have to have a great smile. I lived in San Diego for a very long time (my favorite city in the U.S) and was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Christensen by my agency at the time. She said it was her family dentist, and they all really liked him. So I trusted her, and made an appointment. Now, For many years Dr. Christensen has provided amazing dental services for me, I cant even come close to describing how amazing this guy is. My modeling career has taken me to live in Manhattan over the last few years but I still work in Los Angeles and San Diego, so I always go to him. Actually, I only go to him. I schedule my appointments when I have work in Ca, which is pretty much 3-4 times a year. In my last visit I was amazed at the new location, truly a top notch dental facility. I really like the upgrades from the past office, they really raised the bar with all new equipment. Everyone here makes me feel so comfortable and at home during my visits. The staff here are so nice and deserve high praise for really going out of their way to schedule appointments for me with my hectic work schedule. I mean really, I call from New York and let them know I’m flying in tomorrow… I have an appointment the next day! They really work with me and my crazy work routine. I really appreciate that. We don’t get that kind of customer service here in Ny. So it’s always nice. I have had nothing but great experiences here with Dr. Christensen and his staff. I highly recommend everyone try this amazing dentist, you will see for yourself why I reserve my dental health for a 3000 mile trip cross country. I only write these kind of reviews for businesses I love, so you can trust my opinion. If your looking for a dentist in San Diego, I really recommend you see this dentist. You won’t be disappointed !

I have had a great fear of the dentist for the past few years. When I first walked in here, my anxiety melted away. The waiting room was small, with comfy seats, and the receptionist was calm and wonderful. My dental hygienist, Jackie, was bubbly and upbeat and so nice. She explained everything she was doing. Dr. Christensen was awesome; he was so nice, and he explained how he was going to help fix problems I was having, and what I can do in the future to help my teeth…I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment!

I broke one of my fillings off my back tooth. It was bugging me for a couple of weeks. Eventually it made a hole, it was really painful as well. I called the office and made an appointment. I scheduled it 2 weeks out thinking i could wait that long. A couple of days later i was in so much pain. I called the office again and they squeezed me in early the next morning. One of the staff members started taking pictures of my tooth as i waited for the Dr. C. As soon as he walked in he was very friendly and made me feel at ease. He examed me and decided that i did need a root canal. He quickly scheduled me for the next day. I haven’t been to the dentist in years so i didn’t know what to expect. I was dreading this day. The day of the procedure, he walked me through what i could expect and told me step by step what he was doing. I thought i was going to be in a lot of pain but right after i was fine. No pain but my gums were a little sore. No down time what so ever. 3 days later still no pain, no swollen gums. I have to go back for a cleaning and to be fitted for my crown. I will be keeping him as my dentist and definitely will refer people to him. 100 percent happy with my experience here.

I hate going to the dentist, it gives me anxiety. Dr. Christensen has totally changed that! While I don’t think I’ll ever look forward to going to the dentist, I certainly don’t feel anxious before I go to see Dr. Christensen. He’s friendly, personable and makes sure you get the best care – even if it’s not from him. I went to see him recently for a consultation on the removal of my wisdom teeth. Another dentist (I had gotten a GroupOn deal for a cleaning and x-ray) had wanted to do it in office. Dr. Christensen said it was going to be a challenge for him so it would been painful for me. He referred me to an oral surgeon and knowing that he wasn’t making any money on the referral (actually losing money by not doing the procedure) but just wanting to make sure I had the best care was why I’ll continue to see Dr. Christensen.

I was referred to Dr. Christensen by a good friend of my mothers about 2 years ago. I had a really bad cavity in one of my molars. Every since then I have frequented his office for my dental upkeep. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Even my mother started going here a few months ago on my referral. The office staff is great, very helpful. The dentist is amazing! Great service. Dr. Christensen and his Ace Assistant Michelle are the best. I am 80 ears old and have had quite a bit of dental work during my life. I recently had two caps on front teeth replaced and was dreading the procedure. i especially was concerned about the anesthetic injections in this very painful area . Dr.Christensen worked his magic and I had the eaisest procedure ever. I highly recommend this quality dentist.

Our family moved to San Diego last summer and needed to find a new dentist. Dr. Christensen, at Dental Group San Diego, was located close to where we live so we decided to go there. Over the last month we have had cleanings, filings and crowns. All the work was excellent, but the best part is that everyone from the receptionist, to the staff to Dr. Christensen where kind, respectful and able to put us in a relaxed confident state before, during and after our procedures. I’ve been going to Dental Group San Diego for a few months now and have been really happy with the service and the team there. I actually came across Dr. Christiansen through Yelp and am so glad I gave him a try! Dr. Christiansen is very gentle with his patients and does a great job putting any nervous ones at ease. I especially appreciate the way he talks through his procedures, and engages with you if you have any questions or concerns. Plus, he’s just really nice and easy to converse with, which puts me at ease since I’m not a big fan of going to the dentist (then again, who is?!). The staff is also very friendly, especially their office manager who takes the time to double check insurance information so you don’t over pay for procedures. I also really like the hygienist on site, she’s peppy and fun to talk to, even early in the mornings. Overall, going to the dentist for me feels really easy and personable, like going to a local business of professionals who know you on a first name basis. I would definitely recommend Dental Group San Diego to others!

On May 6th, I had a 2 PM, Cleaning Appointment. Checked in and was taken in on time. Jackie the Dental Hygienist did a great job and in all honesty it was one of the better teeth cleaning experiences I’ve ever had. She was skilled and even the new equipment to take the X-Rays made everything a pleasant experience. Of course El Hefe Dr. Mark Christensen told me the X-Rays were good, checked for oral cancer under the ultraviolet light and gave me a clean bill of dental health. It took about an hour and I was out of there. Dr. Christensen has been my Dentist since 2005 and the best thing about him is he explains things before the dental procedure, during, after then tells you how things went and what to expect later once at home. I can honestly recommend Dental Group of San Diego without reservation. My wife is a patient, as is her daughter and so is my 90 year-old father. I wouldn’t trust just any Dentist with my loved ones…….

Not sure why my review was filtered. I was referred to Dr. Christensen from a very dear friend of mine who has been a client of his for over a decade. I had a major cosmetic veneer procedure here and I have to say they gave me the Hollywood smile I always desired. Having full veneers done was a daunting and scary thought process I had been dreaming of for a very long time… Dr. Christensen and his staff made the process of getting a perfect movie star smile come true with the grace and style of true consummate professionals. I have to say I was extremely pleased with the amazing level or service I received. Dr. Christensen has always maintained a high level of professionalism and detail to perfection in his practice. Since the completion of my new smile, I have referred both of my sisters to this office and tell everyone I know how amazing they are. At lease 2 of my coworkers have started using Dr. Christensen and seem very pleased with my referral of the office. I continue my good dental health with the amazing office staff, The cleanings and regular visits are always a pleasure. The staff is very good at scheduling appointments for me as my work schedule is very hectic and changes randomly. The office location is AMAZING. To the rescue! Dr. Christensen and Michelle squeezed me in for an urgent crown on a cracked tooth. They were not even open that day and let me come in so that I would not be in pain at a trade show out of town later that week. They have all the latest technology and had a crown on my tooth in about 2 hours. It is a perfect fit and I was eating like normal for dinner. It looks and feels just like before, but without the pain. They truly went way above and beyond and were very accommodating.

Dr. Christensen graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1979 with a Major in Zoology and Minor in Marine Biology. He received his Doctorate Degree in Dentistry in 1983 from Temple University in Philadelphia PA. After graduating from Temple University, he practiced briefly in New Jersey until moving to San Diego in 1984. He has been practicing in San Diego since 1984. He also maintained a dental practice in Las Vegas for several years during that time. In order to stay abreast of cutting edge technology and new trends in the dental field for the benefit of his patients, Dr. Christensen continues to pursue his education and post-doctoral training including Invisalign, Cerec, cosmetic , and final implant restorations. Dr. Christensen is a member of the The American Dental Society, The California Dental Association, and The San Diego County Dental Society. He is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and a Cerec doctor. His experience in the dental field includes family, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
