I have been seeing Dr. Yokoyama for a while and have already written a review about his excellent care and expertise. But I also wanted to highly recommend Norina as a hygenist. She is gentle, caring, and very efficient. I am a dental chicken and for me to not fear getting my teeth cleaned is a huge accomplishment. With Norina, my fear has pretty much vanished. Many thanks, Norina!

We are New Yorkers with family in Los Angeles who were already extremely happy, longtime patients of Dr. Yokoyama/Dental Healing. Our visits with him and his staff are always great, and he has been rectifying a number of things for us that others were responsible for years ago. We couldn’t offer a higher recommendation. Indeed, we travel cross country to be in his care!

While others have and continue to amply applaud Dr Yokoyama and his staff, this will be more brief. I come from a family with two uncles who were dentists. This was enough to create dental apprehension. Since becoming a patient of this practice, my fear has been long gone and I find office visits and treatment to be pleasurable experiences. The methods, techniques, technology and top-down performance of this team is outstanding.

Oral hygiene is not only about teeth. Teeth are a sign of health. It is not easy to find a dentist who approaches his profession as a doctor of health, but Dr. Yokayama does. That is the kind of dentist I needed after my body was attacked by several viri (virus) and my teeth began to crumble. I needed a fully conscientious doctor who could find the relationship between the condition of my teeth and my health and offer solutions. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Yokayama who raises the bar for the highest standard of excellence in health care when anything less just would not have sufficed.

Great Dental Experience, Dr Yokoyama is so kind and relaxed through the whole process, everything in his office is clean, beautiful and well kept. Plus he is very up to date on the most holistic approach to his practice. Great views too when you are sitting in the chair! Staff is just as wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful visit, Sean

Best dentist I have ever found who really cares about your teeth and you as a patient. His goal is to have you keep your teeth for as long as absolutely possible a which I love. He is so gentle when he works, I don’t even feel the injections he does them so well. Only person I will have work on my teeth now. He is not inexpensive but you get the best possible service so I think it is well worth it. All the staff are really friendly and helpful too.

As a practitioner of complementary and alternative medicine, I am extremely sensitive and demanding of high quality health care that addresses core issues and not just symptoms. Besides being extremely professional and conscientious, Dr. Yokoyama and his staff are courteous, friendly, extremely competent, and most importantly concerned with addressing and resolving dental issues in the most holistic, beneficial and long term manner. He is both knowledgeable and accessible–a wonderful combination!

Dr. Yokoyama is an amazing holistic dentist; his family run-office has been taking care of my teeth for about 15 years, since 2004. I researched to find a dentist who had a holistic approach and didn’t use amalgam fillings. Since I found Dr. Yokoyama I’ve referred several friends to the office; all say he’s the best dentist they’ve ever had! I feel very fortunate to have worked with him all this time and have such good care.

If you’re looking for a good holistic dentist, Dr. Yokoyama is probably the guy. If you’re looking for a good holistic dentist who will patiently and thoroughly discuss options for your teeth, Dr. Yokoyama is definitely the guy. When I first called his office, I was told that Dr. Y. wasn’t taking new patients, that it would be two months before I could get in. Once I did get in, I found out why this was. Dr. Yokoyama greets you like you’re an old friend. His is a very busy practice, but his whole posture is one of calm and reassurance. He *strolls* between treatment rooms. And the work he does is stunning. I hardly recognize myself now when I grin at the mirror. I was also pretty jazzed when he told me that five teeth the previous dentist had scheduled for treatment didn’t need it (he said this even after I told him about my old treatment plan and had him double-check those teeth)! This last year has been a difficult one for me, and I’m a pathetic coward anyway when it comes to having my teeth worked on. Also, I like to think about things and mull over all possibilities (well, okay–I *brood*). I asked for a number of changes in the order of the work outlined on my treatment plan. I asked for tests to be done on my teeth that other dentists had done. I asked many, many questions. Dr. Yokoyama accommodated me with all the above, and he still lets me come back! The dental assistants are solicitous and good at what they do. Leah is such a soothing presence — I want her in my neighborhood when the Big Earthquake hits because my blood pressure goes right down when she’s in the treatment room. The first time Maria cleaned my teeth, I confessed that I was a Total Wimp, so she cracked jokes the whole time she scraped away. When I laughed, she asked, “Are you laughing because I’m funny or because I have sharp instruments in my hands?” This is one of the best organized professional offices I’ve been in, in L.A. The ladies at the front desk, in spite of being extremely busy, are extremely helpful. They listen intently. If they don’t know the answer to something you ask, they find it out and get back to you. Michelle can do around 26 things at the same time without breaking a sweat. She knows everything about Dr. Yokoyama’s practice, and the ease with which she navigates the schedule is amazing. If you care about your teeth — their health and their appearance — and if you’re looking for health care professionals who really care about the quality of the work they do, I think Dental Healing will be a good fit for you. But I’d suggest that you call soon and get your name in, because there are probably already people lined up outside Dr. Yokoyama’s door.

Dr. Yokoyama is the best dentist I’ve been to hands down. He is kind and communicative and knowledgeable about details like why people are afraid of dentists. I came to him with a terrific toothache and he handled the session with remarkable empathy. I am scared in the way that I shake and jerk around whenever someone is working on my mouth, and he was really sweet about the whole thing. He didn’t make me feel like a disaster, just like a sweet kid. i really love this guy. He also used every single precaution when extracting my amalgam fillings, including a mask, dental dam type thing, and fed me clean oxygen so I wouldn’t be breathing in the mercury. I am so grateful to him and his staff for their care of a particularly terrified patient. He is really thoughtful and seems interested in people. An old couple came in after i did and the woman was making a joke that her teeth were all falling apart and he was kind and charming with her and her husband. I think he’s the real deal. Also, he doesn’t make you feel ashamed whatever situation you are in.

I absolutely LOVE my dentist. I never truly valued oral health and dental care until I switched to Dr. Yokoyama’s office and now I can’t leave. His practice is the optimal dental care that most patients should experience. It’s not cheap, but you pay for quality, and when it comes to your health, oral health should be taken seriously. Everything here gives it a worthy 5 stars. From being a green dental office, using safe products and methods, customer service, and state-of-the-art knowledge. Dr. Yokoyama never ceases to amaze me when it comes to dental care (and unlike some businesses) he didn’t even have to ask me to write a review. During my most recent visit, I paid extra for a CT Scan in order to see a 3D image of my jaw. It was incredible! My cleanings here are also very thorough. I feel like I’m really taken care of here. I advise PPO insurance if you’re going the insurance route. They’re not really covered by HMO. I promise you, it’ll be hard to find a replacement after you get your care here.

Dr Yokoyama is the best dentist available in LA. With a state of art brand new office, low radiation ex rays and the full panorama ex ray camera for a full picture of your mouth and teeth. I chose him as he does the zirconium implants and I had two implant done with him. I have all resin removed from several teeth and did had ceramic on lay done. These teeth are now strong and saved and no root canals. Not many dentists use ultra-pure ozone water in their treatments but Dr Y does.

I have never gone to see a holistic dentist before, however over the years I have gravitated towards natural holistic healing and unconventional/ alternative medicine. After reading Dr. Yokoyama’s excellent reviews quite a while ago I intuitively knew that he was the dentist for me. But in the past, whenever I tried to schedule with him there seemed to be a few months wait time and I never had the patience to just make the appointment and wait. Instead I just didn’t go to see a dentist at all! My teeth were pretty healthy though so there was really no rush. Then my teeth suddenly became badly stained from some herbs I was taking and so finally I decided that I should go get a teeth cleaning….and maybe evening whitening? So I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance and patiently waited. On the day of my appointment I arrived at Dr. Yokoyama’s building and parked inside for $12. I texted the office letting them know that I arrived and they texted me back pretty quickly letting me know that it was safe for me to come up. The office was absolutely immaculate! Pristine with a very upscale appearance… and peaceful positive energy! It almost reminded me of a spa and not a dentist’s office. I was seated in a room and awaited Dr. Yokoyama. When I finally met him he seemed to be a very kind, down to earth individual. It seemed like we had some things in common. We spoke about energy pendants. He had lost a Q-Link pendant that I just happened to be wearing and so he asked me where I purchased mine because they are making fakes now. Well, I purchased mine online years ago so I couldn’t remember. But it’s cool that he’s a doctor that appreciates EMF blocking technology. He proudly told me that his office is full of EMF blocking technology, pure air (hepa air purifiers) in every room, LED lights instead of fluorescent. I told him that I was used to the old school lights and that the brightness of the LED lights may have been bothering me a bit. I am a very sensitive person and I used to be very sensitive to light. I felt like I was getting a headache, but I was also detoxing during my visit because I had fasted the previous week. Anyway, everyone was so kind and accommodating… Dr. Yokoyama and his entire staff. I tend to do things that are a bit weird and unconventional. I wore a shungite hat for my x-ray while holding all of my energy pendants as close to my neck as possible, I think they found my kookiness to be a bit entertaining. I got the feeling that they are used to seeing super health conscious sensitive individuals like myself. They made me feel right at home. They didn’t even have a problem when I decided that I needed to eat some fruit right before my teeth cleaning. So onto the teeth cleaning… the main event in my opinion! My teeth were so badly stained (“severe” was the word Dr. Yokoyama used) that I wasn’t sure what to expect from the teeth cleaning. Heather surprised me. Not only was she very pleasant to speak with, but somehow I managed to tell her stories while she was cleaning my teeth and she listening thoroughly with genuine interest. So it was like a teeth cleaning therapy session! But best of all… she actually removed all of the stains off my teeth! I was infinitely impressed! Heather is the one folks! When I originally found Dr. Yokoyama I was looking for reviews for the dental hygienists. There were none! Well, now here’s a review with a name… Heather! She’s awesome! Ofcourse, I get the feeling everyone at this office is pretty awesome. So finally I went to pay cash (because my crappy insurance would never pay for such a luxurious dental experience). I was greeted by none other then the lovely daughter of Dr. Yokoyama… Kayla Yokoyama! Wow! Father and daughter working together! Kayla was super kind and explained to me what her father recommended. There was absolutely no pressure w/ the recommendations. In fact, she offered me a 50% off deal if I decided to go with one of the recommendations the same week. I decided to sleep on it. I wasn’t 100% sure I was ready to do anything else with my teeth. Anyway, my appointment was scheduled for 2 hours but somehow i ended up staying for 3 hours… because I had so many lovely conversations with all of the dental staff. Hopefully this good review will make up for the extra hour that I stayed. It was definitely my fault…no fault of there’s! The energy was so good that it was difficult to leave. How’s that for a dental office! Not very common! But Dr. Yokoyama’s practice is indeed not that common or ordinary. More so extraordinary! I’d like to end by saying that everyone kept exclaiming that I had all of my teeth with a tone of surprise. Like who keeps all of their teeth in this toxic world that we live in? Well….they made me feel like a dental superstar. It was a real enjoyable time. I look forward to my next cleaning in 4 months (usually 6, but Heather recommended 4 because I had more plaque under my gums than she expected.) 5 stars!

As a recently retired registered nurse, I was interested in finding a dentist that is IAOMT certified, that is the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology, because I needed to have the amalgam in cracked teeth taken and replaced with a safe substance. Yesterday that procedure was done by Academy standards and I am not only relieved of the systemic toxic burden of the amalgam, but also completely impressed with the professionalism by which it was done. Dr. Yokoyama and his wonderful staff treated the procedure like a well-run surgical procedure should be, with excellent communication throughout as well as having used the protective barrier to protect me from the broken up amalgam (which is 50% mercury) and the oxygen nasal protection from aerosolized amalgam. And as a nurse with decades of perisurgical experience, I know what that should look like. Kudos to them all! And much gratitude!

I walked into Dr Yokoyama’s office with a mouth full of amalgams! Thirteen or more? I was vulnerable to the unknowns of amalgam removal. But I wanted them out so I pressed on. But not without major anxiety as the procedure drew closer. I was given a choice to have all of mercury removed at one time under light anesthesia. I am happy to say It was fantastic and I thank Dr Wu ( the anesthesiologist ) for his participation in my sleepy comfort. Post procedure I will definitely say ..I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION! I feel so much better! And the procedure went beyond my expectations! There was an abscess under one wisdom tooth that was filled with mercury . The abscess was causing me trouble for months. I went to my previous dentist ( several times) because of intermittent pain. He did not find it. Dr Yokoyama has the technology and found it. My holistic medical doctor told me mercury in all four wisdom teeth was cause to heart palpitations and chest discomfort (I had past hospital visits). He said wisdom teeth filled with mercury becomes a conduit to heart meridians. I am an active 65 year old woman with a zest for life. One hobby, I drive a 34 foot diesel pusher taking all four Irish Wolfhounds to dog shows. I love life, music, good food, books, and yoga. But when I had Trigeminal Neuralgia ( triggered where the abscess was brewing) I thought my active life was over. That was my breaking point! I was willing to enhance my health in anyway possible. My loving husband, an internist was 100% by my side and willing to support my decision to pave my way to better health . Dr Yokohama and his staff have been wonderful and still are throughout my process to better health in getting all amalgams (and they are!) removed… Thank you!!

I have been having some severe health problems and my old leaky amalgam fillings are a contributing factor. I researched online for a dental office that was SMART certified to remove amalgams safely and found Dental Healing. This review is based on my initial consultation with Dr. Yokoyama’s office. The entire team at Dental Healing were exceptional. I knew this experience was going to be top notch based on my first phone calls with Kayla at their office to gather information and set up my appointment. During those initial phone calls, everything was explained to me in detail, including costs, info about different procedures, and general info about their practice. This 5 star treatment continued during my appointment, where the Doctors (I had two at my appointment, as well as a handful of assistants) took lots of time explaining their assessment of my oral health to me in detail, answered all my questions, and provided me with options on how to move forward with my treatment. I couldn’t have been more pleased with everyone and everything about Dental Healing. I look forward to regaining my health with the help of the staff at Dental Healing.

Dr. Yokoyama is fantastic. Very happy with his holistic approach to dentistry. I am a fan of both the doctor and his staff. The doctor is kind, knowledgeable and compassionate with wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Yokoyama is a total gem among dentist and Doctors! He had come very highly recommended and he was more caring, considerate, and easy to work with than I anticipated, even with the recommendation. I don’t know about the everyone else but the very idea of going to a dentist is very frightening to me, because of previous experiences. Well I am here to say that Dr. Yokoyama is a totally different kind of dentist who is clearly following a more heart-lead conscious path of a HOLISTIC HEALER than any other dentist or Dr. than I have ever worked with. Trust me, I NEVER would have thought to call any dentist or Dr. a healer before I met Dr. Yokoyama. My prayers were answered when I walked into his office, truly. I am extraordinarily sensitive and he did his very best to put me at ease, get to know me and my challenges in life and with my dental health. I have never seen such conscientiousness demonstrated with such compassion and dedication to doing the work I needed done. All I can say is thank goodness that Dr. Yokoyama decided to pursue a higher standard than the usual training that most dentist are satisfied with. Dr Yokoyama brings hope, a can-do approach, a healers hand and most importantly, a conscience to the medical and dental field, which I dare say sorely needs it, but not in his office, which is beautiful. If you want a different experience from a dentist that actually has your health as his first and top priority, Dr. Yokoyama is your man.

I would like to comment on the outstanding attention I received at Dental Healing, due in large part to the proficiency of Dr Jason Monempour. After I cracked part of a tooth that exposed an amalgam filling, I did an internet search for a dentist that displayed an awareness of the exposure of amalgam and the gravity of consequent removal of fillings. Although the philosophy of holistic dentistry is generally the same among such dentists, it was the SMART certifications, IAOMT accreditation, additional trainings, continuous research, elimination of toxins (i.e. fluoride, metals, bpa), green office environment, and 5star reviews, indicated on the website, that were the determining factors in my decision to seek treatment at Dental Healing. Dr. Yokoyama is the visionary of Dental Healing and the implementation of a practice that demonstrates a consciousness of oral health with a correlation to overall well-being. The team at Dental Healing function with a goal to produce optimum results and a positive dental experience for the patient — Michelle that does everything, Kayla the manager, Barbara and Brenda at the front desk, Martha and Leah – dental assisting, Norina –hygienist. Dental Healing functions as an out- of-network operation and fees differ from standard dental practices but the precautions taken and techniques utilized are substantial. However, what distinguishes Dental Healing is the warmly personal and highly professional dentistry I received from Dr Monempour and I felt compelled to acknowledge his exemplary manner and skill. I, in effect, was given an emergency appointment with colleague, DDS Jason Monempour. Upon meeting, Dr Monempour created a striking impression. Dr Monempour greeted me and introduced himself before any work began; he expounded on his approach to dentistry and the relationship he strives to establish with his patients. In effect, Dr Monempour created an atmosphere of ease, comfort, and relaxation (and to those with some apprehensions or forebodings, his understanding serves as an ally to diminish patient fears and make him more relatable). Dr. Monempour listens, welcomes every question, and explains processes with the objective of creating an informed patient. Although Dr. Monempour is the conduit of biocompatible or non-toxic dentistry, it is through information, education, and active patient participation that oral health is maintained. Dr Monempour is genuine, kind, considerate, and caring. Dr Monempour is meticulous in his practice and expert at his art. Upon administering the local anesthetic, I, honestly, did not feel any discomfort ( which is a deal breaker for me). I received an oral examination that was the most comprehensive dental assessment that I have ever experienced; Dr Monempour conducted a thorough visual and tactile evaluation accompanied by a specific checklist to determine an oral diagnosis. Dr Monempour’s integrity, high ethical standards, and use of excellent quality products is a reflection of the commitment he [Dr Monempour] makes to himself and every patient as he endeavors to provide a superior dental experience. Dr Monempour gives his utmost and I have such high regards for him; Dr Monempour is truly and sincerely the best dentist I have ever been to.

Best dentist ever! I was terrified of going to the dentist for pretty much my whole life until Dr. Yokoyama! For several years before finding Dr. Yokoyama I vetted many dentists and never felt any of them were the right dentist for me. A friend highly recommended Dr. Yokoyama and the moment I met him and talked with him, I knew it was the right choice. I had several procedures that would have been quite painful in the wrong hands. But Dr. Yokoyama was gentle and I had zero pain and no swelling. Even with the extractions I needed. I actually looked forward to going to the dentist and getting the work done that had been affecting my health for years. I traveled from Vegas for 4 times to have all of my procedures done and it (with the cost of the trips) was cheaper than having the work done by any of the “biological” dentists here. One third of the price. The dentists in Vegas know that their patients don’t have many options here so the can charge whatever they please. They also tack on extra procedures that aren’t necessary. Dr. Yokoyama did everything he could to help me save money and save my teeth.

I had a really good experience thus far with Dr. Yokoyama. His staff are very friendly and professional as well. Dr Yokoyama was excellent!! He took his time with me and explained everything I needed to know. I have always been so fearful of going to the dentist due to previous bad experiences. I am afraid of needles and the drilling process but this time was WONDERFUL!! I went in to see the oral hygienist for scaling and root treatment first, oh she was awesome! She numbed my mouth and I barely felt the injection 🙂 After she was done I went over to have more work done by Dr. Yokoyama and he was the BEST!! Felt no pain at all!! I have been to many other dental offices and by far, this has been the greatest experience I have ever had. I am the biggest wuss when it comes to needles and people poking around in my mouth, but today I faced my fears and came to realize that all this time I have been scared for nothing, I just needed a really GOOD dentist dentist to work on my mouth. I’m so thankful the Lord led me to this office. I will be going back I HIGHLY recommend this dental office!

I wanted a bio-friendly dentist. At Dr. Yokoyama’s office, I got my mercury fillings removed replaced with bio-compatible material & I got one implant because a root canal didn’t seem like a desireful option. Not only is Dr. Yokoyama a master at his craft, I find him to be a genuine individual. So I recommend going here for your dental needs. My journey started going to a holistic dentist in Santa Monica. I was put off by her. She seemed like the type who just wants to make the most money off your mouth. So I searched again and found Yokoyama’s office. I’m glad it worked out this way; after years of avoiding the dentist, I finally found a dentist that I liked. He removed all my mercury fillings and replaced them with ceramic based fillings– which are great because they match the color of your teeth. Also knowing we got rid of mercury is empowering. After that was done, I decided to get an implant instead of a root canal. This is what I get for avoiding the dentist! Getting an implant is a long process. It’s not as convenient as a root canal, but at the end you get something way better. The zirconia implant is non-metalic, it looks like my teeth, and it FEELS real. It’s like I regained the set of teeth nature gave to me. And Dr. Yokoyama makes the process as painless as possible. Dental procedures aren’t fun, but when you go here, you are truly in good hands, you get a doctor that cares a lot about what he does, and the results are the best in the market.

Chet Yokoyama is hands-down the best dentist I have ever worked with in my life! I know that sounds like a dramatic statement but I am a holistic practitioner and I am very nitpicky about the kind of healers and doctors and health providers that I am willing to work with. In fact I sent most of my patients to him over the last 10 years and have been extremely happy with the results and the work he has done with them as well as myself. He is extremely innovative and one of the leaders in holistic technology and believes in the connection between teeth and health. Many people don’t realize that each tooth next to a different organ/gland/tissue in the body and if you are not on top of your teeth you could be having ya proms or deficiencies in your body because of a bad tooth! He is also brilliant at using compatible materials that are non-toxic for your body and replacing metal fillings which are so harmful to your immune system! He’s funny, gentle, and exceedingly detail oriented and skilled. It’s rare to find a dentist who not only cares so much but is so meticulous and detail oriented. Your teeth are not an area you want to neglect or take chances with so I would highly recommend you work with Dr. Yokoyama. I drive all the way in from San Diego to see him. Once you find the best why would you go anywhere else?

The doctor is an amazing man; friendly and professional all the way. I’m happy to report that although 3 years ago (when I had my last treatment) they only offered BPA composite fillings as a more affordable option to porcelain – they now offer “Admira Fusion” (a BPA free product). And I’m told that they continue to go to trainings in the industry to learn about the latest and healthiest materials. I had a root canal extraction with him at another appointment that could’ve gone all kinds of wrong but I felt extremely safe with him and like he was confident enough to handle anything that could happen. I want to eventually one day have him do a transplant for the two teeth that I had pulled. Thanks!

So far I’ve been here twice and I’ve had marvelous experiences both times. I had a root canal from over 25 years ago that has been causing me grief for quite some time. Sure enough, it was infected and needed to be taken out! I didn’t want to have this procedure done by just anybody, so I sought out Dental Healing. Dr. Yokoyama and Dr. Lloyd Herman are a joy to work with. I consider them to be “the tooth whisperers.” They are both kind, gentle, caring, and just all around extraordinary dental professionals. From the initial consultation to the extraction process, I was put at ease, fully informed, and treated with great consideration. I never felt any pain and can honestly say that this was one of the best dental offices I’ve ever worked with. I still need to go back for follow-up treatment, but so far I am beyond thrilled with my experience.

Patient, caring, knowledgeable doctors and staff. I just had two teeth extracted and felt no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. No pain at night and days afterwards without pain meds, even aspirin. I do use Chinese herbal formulations to promote healing and a sublingual homeopathic tablet called Traumeel S N50 every few hours to help repair tissue trauma. Before the extractions I had many questions and concerns on a variety of dental issues, materials, and procedures and all of them thoughtfully answered without feeling rushed or discounted.

I’m usually uncomfortable going to the dentist. It usually hurts, after all. Dr. Yokoyama is the best you can get if you have to have your teeth worked on. His staff is very friendly and helpful, their appointments run on time, and the office is very clean, light and airy. Dr. Y himself is a gem. He is so calm, and sweet and nice, it is a pleasure to deal with him. So far I have only had my teeth cleaned, but tomorrow I have dental surgery so will post another review. The hygienist, Ray, is very passionate about her work, and gives you a ton of information. I didn’t even feel the shot, she is so good at that part. I could tell she was really going to town on my upper teeth, scraping and scaling and whatever, but the next day the pain was minimal. And my teeth have just never been so clean. The office is basically downtown, which is a drag for me, but I like these people so much it is worth the trip.

I first found Dr. Yokoyama by researching reviews on Yelp. His reviews were 5-star (and still are)! Since his office was out-of-network with my insurance carrier, I knew I’d be paying most of the cost out of pocket. But since I have a history of periodontal issues, I figured the investment in my health was worth it. I have so many good things to say about my experiences with Dr. Y and all his team, but I’ll choose only 2 highlights: 1. Dr. Y went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable during a tooth extraction. On his DAY OFF, he came into his office to get some ozonated water to bring to the dental surgeon’s office. This was used to protect against dry socket (which I had once years earlier and never wanted to experience again). He was so kind checking on me throughout the procedure, whereas the actual dental surgeon was not nearly as attentive. I healed quickly and painlessly, thanks to Dr. Y. 2. In April 2018 I finally went ahead with a deep scaling and root planing procedure (with additional laser treatment) that Dr. Y’s hygienists had recommended to me for over a year. The expense was something I had to wrap my mind (and budget) around. I had had a bunch of 5 & 6 pocket measurements for over a decade and again, thought it was time to invest in the longterm health of my mouth. The procedure was made painless, much to my surprise. Since then I have moved out of state. Dr Y’s office was kind enough to email me all my X-rays and charts for the new dentist. The BEST NEWS OF ALL is…I just had my first appointment with new dentist. As she measured my pockets, she found that all my measurements had improved by 1-3 points!!! She was flabbergasted, and I was happily surprised that, in only 3 months, my gums were healthy and tightly adhered to my teeth once again. There’s the proof, people! I want to thank Dr. Yokoyama and his fine, skilled staff for taking such good care of me and my mouth during my time in Los Angeles. I will miss their expertise, but didn’t want my positive experiences to go unmentioned.

Having not been here for years I was a bit trepidatious in making an appointment. Not that my initial visit was bad but you never know and it was far from me. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I had the best experience. Best teeth cleaning ever, everyone was so kind and Chester was great as ever. I’ll be braving the traffic to make sure I stay connected to this wonderful team.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yokohama for at least 7 years now. Old school patient since they were still in the old location. These folks are well organized, use technology to their/your advantage, and do a damn good job caring for your teeth. I can’t recommend them more.

Found Dr Yokoyama three years ago in a panic when two other traditional dentists suggested the only option was to get a root canal. Long story short, Dr Yokoyama saved my tooth without a root canal and everything has been just fine since. I’ve had several other metal fillings replaced as well. A couple were more complicated and required a porcelaine onlay- which is something he does beautifully. Grateful to have found a dentist who understands the deeper concerns of health as it relates to dentistry and is very forward thinking and using the latest technologies and advanced procedures and methods. His staff, dental assistants, and oral hygienists are all wonderful. It’s literally as good as it gets to having a great dentist experience!
