I’m one of those people who is terrified of the dentist & it had been 10 yrs since my last visit.  I finally worked up the courage to make an appointment, and now I am so very happy I chose Dr. Sharda Patel!  She was absolutely my dream dentist – very gentle, informative, & professional.  There was no judgement about how I neglectful I had been.  She was supportive & full of encouragement.  I had to have a deep cleaning & 4 fillings replaced.  Friends had told me horror stories of how hard their deep cleanings had been with other dentists, so of course I was expecting the worst.  Bottom line- it was not horrible at all!  The worst part was getting shots of Novocain, and even that wasn’t as terrible as my mind was prepared for.  Dr. Patel did my treatment over two separate days, and the process was actually enjoyable (did I just write that?- yes, and I’m not exaggerating).  With every step, she told me what she was about to do, and that helped me mentally.  She also kept telling me I was doing well throughout the procedures, and that also helped me.  All in all, I am so thrilled I now have established her as my dentist, and I’m actually looking forward to my follow-up appointment in 3 months.  Crazy, right?  But it’s true!  Her assistant Carmen was also excellent.  If you are looking for a great dentist, I truly recommend Dr. Patel.

Great experience here! A bit of back story: I’m actually terrified of going to the dentist. Like, horribly! But I felt at ease and comfortable during my appointment. I felt like my needs were thoroughly addressed and any questions I had were answered. I felt respected, which is appreciated given my dental health. It was such a sweet visit, more like I was going to see a friend! They have made ample adjustments to their usual protocol due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and were extra sure to be as cleanly as possible. Will definitely be back and will be reccomending to friends in the area.

Very professional, has the best dental equipment, and really knows dentistry! The best DMD in the San Francisco Bay area. Highly recommend for competency and professionalism. The doctor is also very aware of sterile techniques to exclude COVID-19 virus and she works tirelessly to keep the patient and office free of any potential virus exposures.
