I found this Dentist based on reviews and it did not disappoint and exceeded all expectations. Every single interaction I had was great. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel at ease. I learned so much about my teeth today! I will always be coming here! I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment.

I originally started going to Dr. Schoening when he was located in Lincoln Park and I had lived nearby. When I moved to another Chicago neighborhood, I would still make the trip back to Lincoln Park solely to continue seeing Dr. Schoening as my dentist. I then of course followed Dr. Schoening to his current location near Millennium Park, and honestly if he for some reason ever decided to move to another state, I would have to seriously contemplate making a trip to that state twice a year for my cleaning. It is not easy finding a good dentist who you can trust and who can actually make your dentist visit an enjoyable experience, but Dr. Schoening has proven it is possible, and he has earned a loyal customer for life. Anyone who is looking for a new dentist in the city should seek him out!

My first visit to Dr Shoeing was the best experience I ever had with a dentist and I turn 50 next month. He is very outgoing and friendly. I appreciated the fact that he is the one who cleans your teeth. He is very passionate about teeth, he detailed while he explains what needs to be done and why. By the end of my second visit I felt I made a good friend. Obviously he gets to do the most talking, but his conversation is interesting. I felt so comfortable that when I was leaving I almost asked, since I live very close by, if he wanted to grab lunch sometime. I have been bragging on Dr Schoening every chance I get.

Best dentist I’ve ever had!! Dr. Schoening and his team deliver the best patient care with a happy personal touch and exceptional skills. Even though I moved a bit far away from their office (which has a beautiful and relaxing park and lake view) i still drive an hour just to work with a dentist who i trust. You will not be disapointed! Highly reccomended

Wow – I am thoroughly impressed by Dr. Schoening. During both my initial exam/cleaning and my fillings appointment, he took time to explain what he was doing every step of the way. He also ensured I was always totally comfortable. I really appreciated that he takes a conservative approach and wasn’t trying to push additional, unnecessary services like teeth whitening on me (or false cavities fillings like another practice here in downtown Chicago!). Who knew getting fillings could be such a pleasant experience. Not only did I not feel a thing, but I left feeling more like I’d just caught up with an old friend than been to a dentist appointment. Could not recommend Dr. Schoening and his practice more! Bonus points – he has one of Chicago’s best views Lake Michigan in an absolutely gorgeous historical building!Wow – I am thoroughly impressed by Dr. Schoening. Well let me start by saying I haven’t seen a dentist in years and of course was extremely nervous to finally see one and I’m so glad I went to Dentist on the Park. Everyone there is so nice and very attentive to you and your needs. My first appointment was a great experience Eric educated me and walked me through everything he was doing, and even broke down the X-rays with words I understood LOL. He definitely made the nervousness go away by literally just being himself and that made me feel sooooo much better! Today was my second appointment with him and if I could copy and paste everything a second time I would everything still stands. Such an amazing Dentist and staff

Look no where else this is your dentist if your in the loop/Chicago area. Tbh I would travel for hours just to see Dr. Schoening; coming from a person who isn’t too found of doctors in general he will make you feel like family. This man is a professional no question or concern you might have going in isn’t unnoticed. He has a new office so you can be assured he will be there for the foreseeable future when you require him for check ups or emergencies. I can’t stress enough how lucky I am to have him as my dentist now all my family goes to see him that’s how good he is.

I found Dr. Schoening from yelp reviews and his location downtown. I was searching for someone to provide invisalign and I’m very pleased with the results. Dr. Schoening was incredibly helpful with structuring my program to my unique needs and ensuring I finished the program by my wedding. He uses the latest technology and products and is very comprehensive in his cleanings.

Dr. Schoening was with me every step of the way during my lengthy and challenging Invisalign case. He gave me all the information up front, saw me twice a month for a year and a half, and celebrated my hard work with a free whitening so my smile is the best it has looked since high school. I rarely write reviews, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share on Yelp this terrific experience. I’ll be with Dr. Schoening for as long as I’m in Chicago! He rocks, rolls, and takes great care of teeth!

I hadn’t been to a dentist in a few years due to not having dental insurance, so I was pretty nervous about my first dental visit. Dr. Schoening made me feel completely at ease throughout the visit, and even did the whole cleaning himself! He walked me through everything he was doing and even took pictures of all of my teeth so we could go over everything together. Definitely a better dental visit than I’ve had in the past!

It’s been over a year from the last cleaning which I know was way too long.  This was my first time meeting Dr. Schoening.  The experience was great.  He came out and introduced himself while I was getting checked in.  He did the cleaning himself and my teeth free so much cleaner.  Definitely going to come back for my next check up.

I can’t say how much Dr. Schoening has changed my life and smile! He’s helped me feel more confident and I’ve never worked with such a caring and knowledgeable dentist before. We’ve been on a 10 year journey together in healing and fixing my smile and he really cares about each and everyone of his patients. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a dentist’s chair before because he’s very careful and attentive to my concerns and gum sensitivity. I used to delay and skip my dental care because it can be scary and overwhelming but Dr. Schoening and his staff are understanding, patient, and professional! The location is very clean, doesn’t have the usual sterile office feel and the views are an added bonus to the experience. I can’t thank him enough for all his hard work and genuine concern for my dental issues. He’s so easy to talk to and it’s nice having an easy going and funny professional to take your mind off a root canal! I’ve recommended him to all of my friends and family and you should too!

I’m the kind of person who will always dread going to the dentist…I don’t think that’s ever going to change. But every time I leave this office I find myself thinking, “Wow, that really wasn’t bad at all.” I have had four appointments there now, and I can tell Dr Schoening really loves his work and, more importantly, cares about doing things the right way. He also has never tried to sell me anything besides the service I came into the office for, which wins major points with me. Five stars.

Dr. Schoening is an exceptional dentist who makes his patient feel at ease by explaining what he is doing and even a bit of friendly conversation.The process runs smoothly there, in addition to the wonderful view of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago from his office, Dr. Schoening has among the latest dental tools and equipment, including digital images and x-rays, which the patient can view immediately. I have been a patient for several years, since moving to Chicago. I highly recommend Dr. Schoening for all your dental needs.

So many people have horrible stories about going to the dentist. Dr. Schoening will put you at ease immediately. He is a total professional who will cater to whatever sort of experience you need. When I told him about my broken tooth he moved heaven and earth to get me in and get to work. Thanks DOC!!!

Recently, when my dentist could not make it to my appointment, Dr. Schoening was kind enough to squeeze me in. Having not met him previously, I was a little anxious. However, he swiftly put me at ease. I found him to be professional and friendly. Dr. Schoening cleaned my teeth himself, and conducted the exam gently and efficiently. I particularly liked that he explained what he was doing throughout the process. All in all, it was about as pleasant as a dental visit can be. I highly recommend him.

This is the 3rd dentist I’ve tried since moving to Chicago 2yrs ago. I was very pleased with my exam and very thorough cleaning. Dr Schoening is friendly and chatty which I liked very much. My teeth feel great!  I especially appreciate not being pressured into doing a bunch of expensive cosmetic stuff which was a huge turn off for me at a previous dentist. The location is great and has easy parking. I look forward to returning.

Dr. Schoening does great work and is very informative. He explained in detail why I was having some pain in my tooth and even pointed out the exact spots to pay attention to the while brushing. He even pointed out aspects from my dental history by just looking at the shape of my mouth. The man is a real professional and has an eye for the details.
