I HATE going to the dentist! Like really really really really dislike. Like I’d be more into considering tweezing all my arm hairs than going to the dentist. It may or may not have been fate that I stepped into Dr. Office that changed my mind about dentists being evil villains attempting to ruin the world one tooth at a time. I went for zoom whitening and after completing the recommended teeth cleaning a day before (at a different dentist) I was not feeling optimistic about the actual procedure. I figured if if you have to go to the dentist anyway it might as well be beneficial not just health wise but also as far as aesthetics. I’ve never had any issues with my teeth overall, I never thought my smile wasn’t bright but I craved movie star white teeth. Prior to scheduling an appointment I had looked up reviews that complained of the horrors of “zingers” and pain associated with the bleaching. I went in mentally prepped for the worst. Imagine my surprise when I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and even friendlier instead of Steve Martin circa Little Shop of Horrors (all dentists in my head). He examined my teeth and quickly went over the procedure for zoom along with inquiring about the direction I wanted to take my teeth in the future. After a thoughtful discussion regarding Invisalign Kelly was given the go ahead to begin. The overall warning atmosphere they provide literally continues from the moment you step in and until leaving. She explained everything she was doing and the reasoning behind it before proceeding. I was really able to gain a better knowledge of how the procedure actually works due to this. I was told if be given three 15 minute sessions and to tap to indicate if the pain was unreasonable in order to stop. Strangely enough I never had to call for help because I was so relaxed I actually fell asleep! Clearly I don’t expect this to be a typical reaction for everyone (due to reviews I’ve read on the procedure) but I encountered no pain before, after or during the procedure at all. Due to my lack of sensitivity, Kelly offered me an additional 15 minute session that I happily accepted and completed. Prior to starting soon, Kelly assessed my tooth shade as the 3rd of the brightest of natural whiteness. she joked about how after seeing my teeth bleached my old chompers would immediately look dull and even yellow in comparison. To say I was not prepared for the difference was an understatement! I am BEYOND impressed with the service and results that I received at Dr. Steinberg’s. Even if you aren’t in the immediate area downtown is accessible enough to check him out because I promise you’ll want to return. As a result of this visit I have lost the majority of the stigma I previously had regarding dentists. In the event I do decide to have more intricate orthodontic work done I will be returning here. If you’re like me and am looking for a dentist that doesn’t make you scared to go to the dentist I would check Dr. Steinberg’s out. The entire office is very home-y and comfortable and both the Dr. and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable regarding their craft. This place is definitely a win!

Dr. Steinberg has been my dentist for 1.5 years, I have had only great experiences with both him and his staff. Everyone is friendly and professional. He calls you after hours if needed to solve a problem. I have found Dr. Steinberg’s work to be exceptional. I am so happy to have found him.

Dr. Steinberg is a talented, and gentle, dentist. I do not have the best teeth, and he has helped me with emergencies and routine care alike. I even had to have a tooth extracted while pregnant, and he guided me through it, helping me to feel confident at a very vulnerable time. I’ve been to a few dentists in Philly, but I need not look any further.

The entire staff is top notch for sure. I’ve been here a couple times and always feel relaxed and comfortable. They know how to take care of their patients and answer any questions you may have. They are out of network for me personally but will still go there for my regular cleanings. Their always so nice upon arrival, patient and understanding of your personal issues even if it doesn’t relate to your teeth. I went in their with some pretty bad teeth and the lady who worked on my teeth did such a good job and was so caring and sweet. Thank you again guys!!
