My whole family is going to Dr. Dhir from last 5 years.. He is super gentle, got a very nice staff. I like to go there ….. His staff is so helpful in adjusting my appointments as per my need. Best practice in San Diego area. I have been going to Doctor’s Dhir office for a few years now and his staff offers top customer service. Dr. Dhir has provided dental care for me since 2015 when my previous dentist retired. I was interested in finding a practice that used modern equipment and procedures. Dr. Dhir had recently moved his practice to a new building. He, his staff, and his office seemed like they would fit my needs. My previous dentist had told me that my four old crowns were in need of replacement. Because of this I was not surprised to get that same assessment from Dr. Dhir. He was very patient and spent much time discussing my x–rays and the care I needed. I am retired and do not have dental insurance. The work to be done was expensive by my standards. Dr. Dhir’s office manager helped me understand the financial options available to cover the costs. Dr. Dhir’s office is very pleasant. It is airy and open and comfortable. The entire staff makes certain that patients are at ease and treated well. I expect to have a long-term relationship with these people.

I am generally very nervous about dentists and dental treatment (even a simple cleaning freaks me out). The doctor and support staff at this office are extremely friendly and made me comfortable from the start. Since then, I have had dental cleaning and crown fitted with them. They are very thorough with their procedures. My insurance covers their services and the breakup of payment (my share vs. insurance coverage) was clearly explained before treatment was set up. Appointments are fairly easy to obtain. Overall would recommend them to everyone. I am not nervous about dentists anymore!

For over a decade, they are the best! They’re always on time, always professional, and always kind. I love the dentist (weird, I know) but if you don’t? This team will make it okay. I had gone to a different dentist for years. Then, 2 weeks after a routine check up with x-rays, I tooth chipped badly. My old dentist gave me a price, with insurance for fixing that one tooth. I went to Dr. Dhir who took an x-ray, which clearly showed substantial decay in the adjacent tooth. He gave me a price for fixing both, with my insurance, that was substantially lower than my old dentist. When he opened it up, and showed me with the mirror, it was quite clear that the adjacent tooth was quite bad. I am so lucky I switched!! Also, his hygienists are very thorough.

Dr. Dhir and his amazing staff treat their patients with such compassion; I feel so comfortable that I could visit every day. Everyone is happy and positive and that shows in their treatment of their patients. I always feel that I am the top priority and my overall health is always at the forefront. The staff is most accommodating to my every need and they go out of their way to take care of you. The new office is also so amazing; every detail taken into consideration to make you feel relaxed and calm. One of my most favorite part of the new office are the pictures on the wall. When I came to learn that Dr. Dhir took most of them I was in awe because he is not only the greatest dentist but also an extremely talented photographer! The pictures will transport you another place and what is really cool is the pictures are local! Honestly the best dentist I have ever been to. Made me feel heard and cared for as a patient. Focused on not only dental health but mental health as well which made me feel like I am in the good hands of kind people. Also the least painful!! I hate getting the numbing shots but this is the first dentist where I really didn’t feel a thing. Numbs up with gel, small needle injection, then actually waits till your numb before going in with the big guns. If you are looking for a new dentist, this office is excellent. (they also keep the office peaceful with some jazz and Norah Jones )

Love this place. Great dentist, great staff, perfectly outfitted. Let me just say, I found Dr. Dhir through my insurance company and he’s right in my neighborhood. Every interaction I had whether it was with the office staff, dental assistants (Sabastian rocks) or with the good doctor himself was exemplary. Oh, did I mention that they have a top of the line, ultra cool milling device that works like a 3D printer to make crowns? Well, they do and it’s awesome. My new crown fits perfectly. I’ve been with Dr Dhir for a few years. Perfectly happy. Had a tooth go sour that was an anchor tooth for a lower bridge, not good. Had bridge removed and had both anchor teeth replaced with implants. New bridge was made and placed. Now it feels just like it did before the work. We timed everything to more the best for me over two insurance years. Great work good people. What they say in life, ” you get what you pay for” and I got the best!

Take this from someone who neglected dental work for long enough that I’ve been to Dr. Dhir’s office literally 7 or 8 times in the past year for cleanings, fillings, a root canal and crown. The Doctor is a pleasant guy with a good “bed-side manner,” who will explain the reason for any work he recommends. His hygienists are all equally kind & skilled people, who go above & beyond to make you comfortable. And the reception desk is super helpful in making sure you understand your bill & your insurance payments, plus keep you on schedule with visits. Overall great dentist experience!

Dr. Dhir cares deeply for his staff, and that care is passed right on down to all of the clients at his practice. They have been working together for years, and it truly shows in how fluidly they work together to get the job done perfectly every time. I had a poor experience with dentists in my childhood, mostly due to my own sweet tooth and knack for getting new cavities, and I never realized that a dentist visit is something to actually look forward to! Dr. Dhir wants to know your concerns and whether you are comfortable at all times. He even noticed a small twitch of my foot once, which led to me admitting that I was still feeling some pain, but didn’t want to admit it. He quickly set aside his current equipment to provide me with more anesthesia. I’ve also always been curious about what is actually going on during a dentist visit, and Dr. Dhir’s team is more than happy to explain every step of the process, even if only to distract you from the inevitably less pleasant aspects of dental work. Everyone is well educated, patient, hygienic, and so personable I am always sad my procedures are over so soon (even a 4-hour root canal and crown treatment!). So far I have had an emergency root canal and crown treatment on my molar, several fillings, and root canal and crown treatment on my front tooth, and several cleanings. I hate to admit I’ll surely be back for more, but I’m also impatiently looking forward to my next visit. Thank you, Dr. Dhir and team!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Sanjay Dhir is a California Board licensed general dentist. A large part of his early education was in India. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1985 at Panjab University, Dr. Dhir received his dental degree from Magadh University in 1991. In 1992, he completed his internship at BIDS & Hospital, Patna, India. In the United States, he completed his residency in Endodontics at NYU in New York in 1995, attended UCLA and Loma Linda Dental Schools for training prior to receiving his license to practice dentistry in California in 1999. Dr. Dhir continues to expand his training in implantology, esthetics and invisalign. He became a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantology in 2006. Dr Dhir is a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. "I come from a family of healers and dentists; my great grandfather was a surgeon in the good old days. My grandfather, mother, and father were career dentists. I am a people person who believes in dignity and respect for all. I love what I do daily: dentistry is like a religion to me; it lets me make a difference in people’s lives, be creative, and provide the setting for social interactions with my community. I like to enjoy my time at the office: I spend more than half my waking hours here. If I don’t have fun, then life would be a total waste. So my team members and patients have become close friends. When I am in the office, I am at peace with myself- it’s a happy, kind of loud, but not so serious environment. I love interacting with my coworkers, and they are like family to me; we have the best laughs together. My wife of 20+ years is a full-time scientist. We have two amazing kids and an adorable dog. The kids are growing up too fast, so we try to do many different things together. My passion, after dentistry, is photography. I love taking pictures of anything and everything.
