Dr. Gialanella is a great dentist!  He’s very thorough and takes his time to explain what’s going on.  He’s been my dentist and my husband’s since I moved to the area 7 years ago.  He’s personable and always asks how my son is doing (our son’s are the same age).  So when I heard Dr. G started his own practice in DC, I made sure to follow.  The location is really convenient and I like the feel of the smaller office, unlike the other practice in Arlington which was always growing and changing.  Looking forward to my next visit!

For many people, going to the dentist can be a nerve-breaking, uncomfortable experience. The sterile environment, drilling noises, and sore jawbones don’t help either. However, you’ll become a devote dental patient once you meet Dr. Gialanella. This man should be instituted into the Dental Hall of Fame and have a street, school, and city named after him. Dr. Gialanella is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a patient of. His level of professionalism, bedside manner, personality, charisma, and charm is world-class. I’ve had much dental work done (crowns, fillings, cleaning, invisalign, the works) and Dr. Gialanella does it with such precision, gentleness, and simplicity that you question what in the world every other dentist is doing. His office staff is incredible, super friendly, and helpful – I always leave with a smile and have several laughs when I’m at the office. I’d recommend Dr. Gialanella in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a new dentist or for someone who wants to get a truly world-class experience and feel like they are in the best dental care possible in this universe. Dr. Gialanella – you are a miracle worker and I am truly blessed to call you my dentist!

Dr. Gialanella is truly as good as it gets. I had a broken tooth emergency and Dr. Gialanella made the time and effort to see to me under tight time constraints. More importantly, Dr. Gialanella is a perfectionist, which lends itself to his impeccable work and care. I’m extremely satisfied with the results and I look forward to more and regular visits. Additionally, the office is clean, organized and located in a very convenient location accessible to parking, metro, and other public transportation. Dr. Gialanella and the staff are super professional and courteous. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Gialanella at District Dental Center last week, and I was floored by the service and kindness of the staff, and the professionalism and care of Dr. Gialanella. The dentist office is not everyone’s favorite place to be, but you immediately feel at ease when you arrive, and Dr. Gialanella explains each step of the process. He is gentle (I fell asleep getting a cavity filled!), kind, and funny. He took the time to get to know me and worked with me to meet my needs. With a new insurance from work, I had lots of questions, and the staff helped me to make sure all of my questions were answered and made the most of my coverage. I also happened to be able to meet Dr. Schobel while I was there. I can tell working with Dr. Schobel would give me the same kind of top-notch care I received from Dr. Gialanella. It was also awesome that the office is super convenient to three metro stations, easy parking garages, and an easy walk from most downtown businesses.

I was really impressed with Dr. Gialanella and the whole office at District Dental. I was trying to look for a place to add in front veneers after getting my braces off and ultimately chose District Dental because of another dentist’s recommendation and by looking through the Yelp reviews. It was ultimately the Yelp reviews that made me pick them. All the positive Yelp reviews are accurate, and I’m very happy with them. On the first visit, I was impressed with the direct and friendly staff and then ultimately impressed with how Dr. Gialanella took a lot of time to sit down with me and answer all my questions and talk through everything in a very friendly way, without ever feeling rushed. In the past, I’ve noticed other professionals can brush off questions or be in too much of a rush to give you the quality time you are really looking for. I’m very happy with the result and with the experience. It has honestly been a pleasure seeing Dr. Gialanella and the whole office from beginning to end. I can tell Dr. Gialanella puts patients first and will look out for the patients’ best interests, which is what I would want in a dentist. I also noticed that he treats the office and his staff right, which is always a great thing. With Dr. Gialanella, I feel like I’m going in to see an old friend, one who will make sure he gives the best treatment possible and make sure that I’m happy with everything. I’m positive he would do everything within his means to make sure his patients get the care they are looking for. This has been the best dentist I’ve gone to and am happy to give them the highest recommendation possible.

I visited Dr. Gialanella for a routine check up recently and unfortunately I had a couple of cavities. I came in the next week and his work was nothing short of professional. Dr. G. was detailed in his work and I was never uncomfortable. In fact, it was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had at a dentist’s office! I highly recommend District Dental Center.

Let me start by saying, I have been in DC for going on 6 years and this is the 3rd Dentist I have been to in that time. The previous two places were unreliable, inefficient and incompetent, so you can imagine how THRILLED I was to find this office! I have seen Dr. Schobel for a yearly exam and follow corrective filling work (not previously fixed by other offices), as well as Dr. Gialanella for a check-in hello during my last cleaning. They have both been fantastic! The offices are well located and very modern and clean. They even have tvs you can watch during procedures, which really helped take my mind off the cavity work. I also really appreciated the time Dr. S took to walk me through his recommendations for a procedure, and then allowed me to make an informed decision on my own. No pressure, only support. I have never found this in another office. While all this is great, I also want to be sure to give a special shout out to their dental hygienist Casey and their front desk staff (especially Kayla). I have NEVER found a medical office with a staff front to back of house, that was more pleasant and efficient. Medical front desks and billing departments are often the reasons patients leave good doctors, so I usually don’t anticipate good experiences here. They are all fantastic at dealing with patients! Kayla even helped me get my dental records from my previous place last year, who was being particularly difficult. I cannot recommend this practice enough. Every person here has been wonderful.

Overall, great customer service. I switched to DDC two years ago looking for a more personal/individual care, and I found it.  Dr. Gialanella is legit but most importantly, he has one of the best dental hygienist working with him. Silvina is so far the best I have experienced. She is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. She is really concern about my dental hygiene and help me achieve great outcomes with each visit.

Dr. Gialanella and staff provide exceptional care; the dentist, dental assistants, front office associate, and hygienist – Dr. G., Marisol & Vanessa, Francisco, and Silvina, respectively – always explain each procedure they undertake thoroughly & in plain language (to those of us who know zilch about dentistry ), and are exceptionally approachable, courteous, friendly, and professional. Their professionalism, support, and courteousness towards each other is noteworthy and laudable as well. Recently, I received three fillings and a crown — Dr. Gialanella and staff pulled off the procedure painlessly & flawlessly in a single sitting, to boot — and the care I received was top – notch. To be sure, I undoubtedly recommend and enthusiastically endorse the staff and care District Dental Center provides with the utmost fervor; whatever your dental needs, this office will provide you with great care.

I first visited Dr. Gialanella for a second opinion regarding dental work which was already done on me by different dentist. He was very patient with all my questions and explained everything in detail. Also, he did a crown on one of my molars and I was 100% satisfied! Dr. Gialanella is a perfectionist and as for me that’s the main quality a Dentist should have 🙂 Beautiful office and always friendly staff. Highly recommended!
