Dr. Barnett is absolutely amazing! My son had to have a root canal we were super nervous. Well I was super nervous. My son was pretty chill. He did my 10 year old first and hopefully last root canal. No complications and no pain! My son didn’t complain of pain not once. And the procedure didn’t take long at all. This place was AMAZING! I have been searching for a new dentist after my dentist of 15 years shut down suddenly. I have been having problems with staining for years and Roxy got YEARS worth of staining off that nobody has ever been able to get off. I will always ask for her to clean my teeth at all of my future appointments. All of the other staff I encountered were so sweet and friendly and take all the time you need to be reassured and feel comfortable with your care. Just went in today had my teeth pulled, and having some later procedures this month, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else but here, I have had this same procedure done at another dentist in the past and it was awful, this experience completely changed my outlook and has completely taken away my anxiety. Went in nervous came out as relaxed as can be, and they treat you like family and more than just a patient. I love it… Dr. Barnett and staff were tip top notch. And the assistant Shay is such and extraordinary accomplice though the whole process!!!

I went for Freedom Day because I am a veteran. They provide free dental services for veterans on that day by appointment. The staff is genuinely friendly and knowledgeable! The office is clean and beautifully decorated. I switched dentists after this experience because of the calming environment. I have always been afraid of dentists but when I opened my eyes and saw that the dentist had a needed in my mouth and I didn’t feel it …that was incredible. When you first enter you will think that you are in a spa! Excellent Covid-19 precautions.

First off let me say that if you need a dentist in the area this is the place to be. I was not comfortable after leaving my dental appointment at another clinic on Monday and found Divine Expressions that very afternoon. They were able to schedule me in that Wednesday for a cleaning and new patient exam. I am very impressed with the staff, the facility, and the equipment. I already have bad anxiety when going to the dentist, but they put me at ease and I was excited to get started on my treatment ASAP. I will not be going anywhere else.

It had been some time since I’d been to the dentistry, but when I came in yesterday I was treated as though I was a familiar face. My appointment was on time and the safety measures the office has employees to keep everyone safe in this pandemic are second to none. Divine Expression is a good dentist practice I would highly recommended. I needed a root canal and crown. Dr Barnett and his staff did an amazing job. The hygienist were amazing, billing staff amazing, and Dr Barnett very precise with his work. The office is very modern and I love the scriptures and soft music throughout the setting. I thought it was very cool for them to have the ability to print the crown in house instead of sending it off (like most dentist offices). The technology being used in today’s society is out this world and Dr Barnett seems to have the latest. One of the things I love the most about my visit is the bedside manners. I received a phone call after hours personally from Dr Barnett making sure I was ok and wasn’t having any complications. I’ve never in my life received that type of service and it really was the highlight of my visit. Divine Expression is highly recommended.

I was glad to find Divine Expressions, I went in for a tooth ache and was happy Dr. Barnett helped me understand the importance of a Root Canal with a specialist, He couldve just did the work, like some and never cared about the outcome, but Dr. Barnett referred me to a wonderful Endodontist, and now i have a follow appointment for my Crown this week! Let me start off by saying my past experiences with dentists has been awful. Every time I’ve had any work done I have felt pretty much everything and even told the dentist and they didn’t seem to care. Everything was painful. I was to a point where I would never go to a dentist again, it gave me anxiety, my blood pressure would shoot through the roof and I felt like I just another person in a long line in the waiting room. I can say this is the total opposite here at Divine! Dr. Laurentis made sure I couldn’t feel anything, his nurses kept the atmosphere upbeat and had comfort items if I needed anything (warm towel to wash my face, noise cancelling headphones, eye mask, etc,.). I went in for a root canal and a crown and I’m happy to say 1 day after the procedure I’m pain free and the crown fit perfectly. I feel like there is hope for my teeth again since there is finally a dentist I can trust. Thank you to Dr. Laurentis and your staff for everything. See you soon!

During my first visit to doctor Barnett’s office I was informed of the care I would receive, the billing and service charges in great detail, and also shown throughout the facility by the receptionists. The receptionist’s were warm, inviting and always wore a smile. I love the monitors on the ceiling so that you can watch Netflix while you’re getting your dental procedure done. I appreciate that the assistant was so patient with me. I was nervous and my blood pressure was really high. She assisted me with managing the anxiousness I was feeling. I never thought I would say that a dentist appointment was an enjoyable one but this one truly was. It was all around the great experience! I recommend Divine Expressions Family Dentistry.

Great first time back in a dental office. I was very hesitant at first in returning to get dental work, but the kind employees at Divine put my worries to rest. First off they have a tv on the ceiling while you’re getting work done so I got to watch cartoons the whole time! Next they do aromatherapy and hand wax melts which was a first for me and I was surprised at how nice it felt on the skin. I was also worried about price, but they’re making sure I go the best route in ensuring my insurance takes the brunt of the bill. After 15 years I’m actually looking forward to my next visit.. next week 🙂

I would give Divine Expressions more stars if possible. I am the absolute worst dental patient. I would neglect going to the dentist out of fear for the pain during treatment and the cost of the services. Dr. Barnett, Rita, and his staff were so great and patient. They were able to quickly take care of my emergency matter, set me at ease before, during and after the service. When my anxiety rose, they talked to me and kept me very much at ease. Then gave me a realistic comprehensive treatment plan with estimated cost to make my smile mines again. Beautiful experience all the way around. Wish I would have found him years ago!!! I have had a few bad experiences with other dental offices in the Madison area. Divine Expressions Dentistry was AWESOME!! I called yesterday afternoon to schedule a new patient appointment. The lady I spoke with was very professional and nice! She listened to what I needed done and when. (I requested an appointment for Feb. 26th because I was already scheduled off work). She told me she didn’t have an appt. open for that day, but she would put me on a list to call if there was a cancellation. She also offered me an appointment for today at 9 am because they had a cancellation (and she realized that I wanted to get in soon) I told her I couldn’t make the one for today so we scheduled for the beginning of March. When my work closed due to weather today, I called the office to see if they had any cancellations. They did! I was able to get right in. I called as soon as I got there to let them know I was there and they came to get me within 2 minutes! My hygienist, Roxanne, was really fantastic!! She was gentle (a big deal for me) and she listened to me and my concerns. We had an actual conversation before she got started with my cleaning and exam. We had a lot in common and I feel like I found a friend! I realize that we will not always have the extra time to converse like that, but it was very much appreciated being able to connect to someone at my first appointment. It really put me at ease. The Dr, was very professional and friendly as well. I actually have an appointment for the 26th for a follow-up procedure and was very surprised that I could get that scheduled for the exact day that I originally wanted without having to take more time off work. The person who recommended this dental office to me told me to see Roxanne. I didn’t know who was going to take care of me when I got there and later found out that it was not supposed to be with Roxanne, but the other girl was running a little late so I was put with Roxanne! That was totally a GOD thing!! I feel very blessed to have found this dental office!! (I know this is very long, but I couldn’t make it shorter and give an accurate review of how great they are!!)

I arrived at Divine Expressions office very anxious. One of my fears is going to a dentist, however at Divine Expressions things were different. I was greeted outside of the office by a staff member and escorted into the office where the Covid -19 measures were in place. The office environment and the assessment room were clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and professional. After the initial X-rays, Dr Barnett came and made an assessment of what was needed to be done. He was very professional and took time to answer my questions. Y’all. I’m so impressed with this place. The office is so professional, extremely clean, and the women who greeted me were also very nice. My hygienist LaToya, OH MY GOSH, was amazing. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Laurentis Barnett was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama in Florence and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Barnett also obtained a Masters of Divinity from Ambridge University in Montgomery, AL. Dr. Barnett earned several awards and honors while earning his various degrees. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Barnett was certified by the standards of the Alabama State Board and he moved to Brewton and later Gilbertown, AL to fulfill obligations to the National Health Service Corporation by providing dental care to low-income patients. In October 2012 Dr. Barnett purchased his second dental practice in Madison, Al Horizons Dental Concepts and transformed it to Divine Expressions Family Dentistry in May 2014. In fulfilling Meharry’s mission of “Service of God through service of mankind”, Dr. Barnett has found dentistry to be his true passion in changing the world one smile at a time! Dr. Barnett feels that continuing education is paramount to providing his patients with the best care possible. Because of this Divine Expressions is a Fortune Management Practice that drives excellence in life, dentistry and patient care. Dr. Barnett is also a member of the Crown Council which is an alliance of dedicated, leading-edge dentist and dental teams who have a commitment to building practices that provide continually rising standards of care. Dr. Barnett is also a member of the International Council of Oral Implantologist and prides himself as being ‘Alabama’s source for implant and sedation dentistry. There are many other organizations that Dr. Barnett holds membership with and is active in them all. Dr. Barnett has received numerous awards and honors, a few of them include; the National Trio Achievers Award because of his scholastic achievement and contributions to the community, Dr. Barnett was selected as one of the top 40 dentists under 40 in 2015, and the 2015 Young Professional of the year by the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Divine Expressions is a 2016 contender for Best Medical Practice of the year by the Huntsville/Madison Chamber of Commerce. Understanding the need to give back, Dr. Barnett travels on yearly trips to Haiti providing dental and nutritional care to help eliminate hunger and pain related to poor and unaffordable dental and health care to those who might otherwise not receive it. The literacy rate for Haitians is 53% compared to 86% for the US and 90% for Latin America. The highest education for many Haitians is only the 6th grade. Because of this, Dr. Barnett funds a school on top of the mountains of La Fond in which 331 students are educated currently to the eighth grade and fed daily. For many of these students, the only meals they receive are the ones provided by Dr. Barnett’s school. Dr. Barnett and the team are committed to giving back not just in Haiti but to those in need. After all, we are God's hands, feet, and spoken words here on earth"! Dr. Barnett keeps himself very busy in his church where he serves as Senior Pastor of Bethel church. He is the current Vice-President of the Kappa Nu Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He serves on the Alumni Board for the University of North Alabama and is President of the Huntsville/Madison chapter. He is an avid football fan, “Roll Tide”, and loves traveling, reading, being outside in nature and spending quality time with family and friends.
