Dr Mungcal is a great dentist!  I had a crown a few months ago and he did an excellent job.  He was quick yet thorough  and the whole procedure was done at one time in his Manhattan Beach office.  I love the whole staff.  They are very efficient and knowledgeable in their fields.  I especially love my dental hygienist, Marie.  She is gentle yet thorough and never rushes you.  Your teeth are then checked by Dr Mungcal who makes sure to ask you if you have any questions or concerns!  Just love this office!

I am the poster child for being afraid of dentists after a bad experience with a dentist over 10 years ago. So when I finally found the courage to go to a dentist, this one was recommended to me. After explaining my history with dentists to them and being very uncomfortable and on the verge of having an anxiety attack, this staff was very patient with me. They gave me a warm blanket, soothing talks and tissues to dry my tears as I went through the dental procedure. They even sent me a SIGNED birthday card from the entire staff.

I love this location. I’ve been coming here a little over a year. I did my Invisalign treatment here. Done already and i was satisfied at the end. The staff is very friendly, caring and funny. Always go out of their way to give you great service. Shontae is my favorite one though. I always want her to clean my teeth because she does an amazing job at it. We always talk about random things about life, she’s like a friend. Haha. Any way, I highly recommend this location.

Downtown Dental is the best dental office in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles! I just got 3 fillings done by Dr. Mungcal and his assistants Susie and Alex, and let me say that they were terrific!!! No pain and my teeth feel better than ever! I ate some subway after treatment and did not have a problem 🙂 Thank you so much to everyone at Downtown Dental for taking such gentle care of me and making me feel at ease!!! Cannot wait for my next dental appointment 🙂

I care about my teeth. Deeply. And I care about my teeth health as much as any other part of my health. That’s why I came to Downtown Dental. I’m new to Los Angeles, and a friend of mine told me to check out Downtown Dental. He said they were the best dental office in LA and I took him up on his recommendation. He wasn’t kidding. From when I walked in the door to when I left I felt supported and cared for. The wait time was very short, the cleaning itself was expertly done, and I learned more about my all around dental health than I have from any other dental appointment. I’d specifically like to call out Priyam, who cleaned my teeth and talked me through some things I was worried about. Also, I received more detailed and direct advice than “you should floss more,” although that was part of it. I didn’t have a lot of problems with my teeth, but I feel motivated to be as clean and healthy as possible… Like my hair, I want to keep all of them… In short, I’ve found my Dental Home Base in Downtown Dental. And I’ll be getting another cleaning with Priyam in half a year! NOTE: Something else I didn’t expect, but was very happy about was a follow up the next day to check on how things were going. Again, I’ve never received this level of service from a Dental Office and they’ve won a loyal supporter.

Downtown Dental is absolutely fantastic. I’m literally 36 hours out from having two of my wisdom teeth removed, and my friends and family are surprised at how well I’m doing. The procedure was painless (with the exception of a pinch from the needle used to numb my gums), and I have had no swelling or pain post-op. Dr. Mungcal is friendly, smart, and attentive. He checked in on me throughout the procedure to make sure I was doing okay. He makes the time to answer my questions, and I feel comfortably knowledgeable about what needs to be done after speaking with him. I also have to mention the excellent rest of the staff. Everyone is really friendly and tries to make your dentist experience as pleasant as possible. Susie is awesome. Allison, one of the hygienists, is also really great. I had seen her previously for a deep cleaning (which was also painless), and during my wisdom teeth extraction, she came in to say hi–even though she wasn’t working on my procedure. Brandy is also friendly (notice the pattern!), as she called me the day after the extraction to ensure I was doing okay. I seriously cannot recommend this dentist office enough!

Downtown Dental has the best customer service out there! They made me feel comfortable and there all friendly so it made it so much easier for me to get dental work done. Shout out to Patty and Allie who made it all so simple from setting an appointment to painless dental work!! I recommend this to anyone who really care about there dental hygiene, they have easy payment and work with your schedule to make it easier for you.

I am so glad I came to Downtown Dental. From the moment I walked into the office I was met with a smile and a warm welcome. During my first visit, a dental plan was made for me and they got to work right away. I have never experienced such attention to detail and such excellent customer service at a dental office. During my root canal procedure and fillings everyone was extremely helpful and constantly making sure I was comfortable. Since then, I am encouraging everyone to check out Downtown Dental, they really are amazing.

Highly recommend using Downtown Dental for all your dental needs! I just experienced a deep cleaning and the Dental Hygienist, Priyam, was very gentle and performed an excellent job on my teeth and gums. The staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention Dr. Mungcal is very patient and thoroughly explains what procedures will be performed to insure a healthy beautiful smile! Thank you very much Downtown Dental, in just one cleaning, I’m very happy with my results.

Most updated equipment ive ever seen in a dental office, pain less wisdom teeth extraction and comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr.Mungcal, Lali and the entire staff make a great team!! Thank you Downtown Dental!

The staff over at Downtown Dental are so friendly & welcoming, omgoidness I really had a great experience, I went in with cruciating pain thought that I would of had to take it out & was also scared about the procedure to do root canal & crowning because of all the bad/ negative advice I was getting. However I gave it a shot was nervous but gotten it down, easy, no pain whatsoever, only took the ibroprofen because it was prescribed. The doctor was so gentle, was out of there in no time. Now I’m myself again after getting the root canal & crown done. Thank you guys sooo much. definitely recommended!

All staff members and medical personnel are extremely professional and catering specifically to customers specific needs. I have referred family members and friends and we all will be going back for future work. I am pleased that you can have a crown created and fitted on your tooth the very same visit bypassing the need to be fitted with a temporary crown and therefore returning for a second visit to complete the work. I‘m in Invisalign had 4 crowns and 4 root canals done, no pain and quick and easy! My teeth have never been so white, my mouth feels so fresh, my gums don’t bleed and I stopped clenching and grinding. Great office, fun staff, good music, they pay for parking and they really take good care of their patients !

Thank you Dr. Don Mungcal. My dental implants and my new permanent teeth is perfect…and my smile is beautiful. My 9 dental implants all sit very well I feel like they’re my natural teeth. I recently had an appointment for my first crowning this past Wednesday. The office was really good about sending a reminder via text to confirm the appointment. Parking was so simple and convenient, I loved it! The minute I arrived into the office I was immediately greeted by such a great and welcoming staff! I was actually seen right away and was explained so thoroughly with how the procedure was to take place. Any questions I had were always answered with complete comfort and knowledge. Dr. Mungcal, Kris and the whole staff were so informative and had helped me to understand the condition of teeth and how to continue to care for it. As for my crowning, after explaining how the process works, I was fascinated and at awed with how fast and smoothly it went. Dr. Mungcal and Kris worked so well as a team. I was pretty nervous at first but the procedure was not bad at all. I was so comfortable the whole way through and trusted the whole process!! My crowning came out so perfect! It looks and feels natural as if nothing changed. It fits perfect and my bite feels normal. Thank you so much Dr. Mungcal and Kris!! You both were amazing!! After my numbness went away (an hour or so), I did feel a tiny bit soreness, but seem to be very normal considering after having a tooth crowned (which eventually went away without me even noticing it). I was able to eat later in the day and didn’t have any discomfort at all. I was good as new and carried on. By Friday afternoon, I received a follow up call from Kris to see how I was feeling. I thought that was so genuinely thoughtful and I appreciate how much Manhattan Beach Dental Solutions care for their patients. Was way cool. I’m so grateful to have such a great dental team to help take care of my health and SMILE!!  You guys are ALL AMAZING!!! Thank you!

This place was so calm and relaxing. I’ve never had a positive experience at the dentist before this. Between genetics and lack of dental education I do not have the best set of teeth. Every place I have visited previously made me feel embarrased about my abnormal teeth. Not Downtown Dental! They took their time and gave me a detailed explanation of what was going on. Then we discussed what we could fix and how we could fix it. They had financial options I was comfortable with, and spoke in terms I could understand. I asked a ton of questions and they we DELIGHTED (I was definitely impressed.) to answer them all. I just moved to LA and finding a dentist at Downtown Dental has been one of the least complicated processes since moving here. They were available over the phone and online. They were also able to see me urgently as my wisdom teeth started to come in unexpectedly. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are like me, and avoid the dentist due to fear or embarrassment. I am much more confident than when I walked in!

This place is ace. I moved to LA a few months ago and was looking for a new dentist. I did some internet research and this place looked great because they had pictures of their team on their website. Turns out… they are awesome! Each person on staff was kind, polite, and helpful when ever I had a question. Turns out I needed 4 crowns! They worked my appointments in before I had to travel and did a free follow up to adjust my bite. Also, they can print crowns right in the office so they make sure it fits, matches your teeth, and you don’t have to wait for 2 weeks. They even sent a lovely handwritten thank you card to my house after my first visit.

My name is Eulinda I am a patient at downtown dental. They are an awesome group of people. I am probably the biggest chicken with a severe dentistophobia (fear of the dentist) The team is super patient , kind and understanding. I have been a patient for almost two months now the longest time I have seen the dentist in my life. I can honestly say it has been an almost painless experience besides my MEGA fear I almost like the dentist now my last dental visit was October 2015. Today I went in to get my fillings done. I opted out of anesthesia because I wanted to go enjoy Taco Tuesday after. I figured I’d rather best through the pain than forgo delicious tacos that I wouldn’t be able to taste with a numb, slobbery mouth. PLOT TWIST: There was no pain at all and the entire experience was actually quite comfortable. Easily the most amazing and least stressful dental experience I’ve ever had. Thirty minutes after having two cavities filled, I’m stuffing my face with tacos and margaritas with no numbness or pain. Will definitely recommend this place to family/friends, especially those that have dental anxiety. Very professional and very patient-focused. Amazing people! Cheers!

Downtown Dental is the best! They provide fast, effective service. They also take the time to explain things in terms that are easily understandable. My hygienist Allison is great. I’m usually nervous going to the dentist, but she was very gentle. I will definitely be recommending Downtown Dental to all my friends.

At Downtown Dental LA they are a team of experts and they KNOW how to take care of you. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time and I was extremely​ nervous. I’ve been there for two appointments. Each time from the moment I got there, Brandi and Maribel welcomed me, guided me through my appointment, and signed me off with smiles. Kris and Shantae made sure I was okay during the whole process, shout out to Shontae and the jams to keep me calm during my cleaning. I had my first impressions done and Lupe made them a breeze. ​Dr. Don came in then examined my teeth and told me I had a few cavities… OH NO….So I came back for another appointment. Sussy, Lupe, and the Dr. made sure I was at ease during the procedure and helped me calm down, they were​ gentle and did an excellent job. I have trust in the team at Downtown Dental LA, I would recommend anyone who needs a good dentist to come here. They have the best quality team and equipment. They are also in the best location in DTLA, right next to museums and restaurants, you can make a day out of your visit to the dentist.
