I just went in for a routine cleaning solely because the office was close to home and Dr. Fan was in network with my insurance company.  Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise!  The staff is amazing!  Very friendly, fun….feels like a family.  Dr. Fan is very honest and caring.  I knew I needed crowns for 2 of my front teeth, but held off for years worrying of the esthetic permanent outcome.  I now know I made the right choice allowing him to complete the work! He has a strong attention to detail and takes his time to do the work to perfection.  I also had some fillings and must say his numbing shots are right on the mark the first time every time.  It only took me 51 years to find the perfect dentist.  Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Fan is fantastic but the receptionist, not so much. My children were patients at this dentist office for 5+ years. We had an issue with our insurance and one of their visits wasn’t paid for. When reception contacted me about this she was rude, screamed at me the whole time and told me my children were no longer welcome there. I no longer wanted to go there after this conversation so I found a new dentist for my kids. Recently I needed to see a dentist so I contacted Dr. Fan’s office. Receptionist was rude and screamed at me the whole time and did not allow me to get a word in. She said I couldn’t be seen because of my children’s unpaid balance (which I submitted to insurance to be paid) and assumed it had been paid because I never received any more bills. I couldn’t even get this explained to her because she screamed at me the entire time and hung up on me. Dr. Fan, PLEASE CALL ME, I need to speak with you and also, get rid of that receptionist!!! I have heard from others that her rudeness drove them away as patients and after my experience I never want to return and cannot recommend your great services to family and friends.

Dr. Fan is a very good dentist and really cares about his patients. He refers his orthodontic patients to my practice. We love his patients. All of his patients are very happy with his work and his lovely staff. We work well together. We’ve been going to see Dr Fan and his staff since moving to Montgomery County. Having moved to Bucks County, we still come back to see him. Dr Fan is always courteous, happy, and meticulous; I will keep coming back. Have had two emergencies, my own, where i chipped a tooth; was able to call and get an appointment that day. A few days ago (during pandemic), i called again for a family friend who had a tooth ache and swollen cheek and they squeezed her in that Saturday. Diagnosed her immediately after an xray, and scheduled her to have her extraction in 2 weeks (as weekends are most convenient for her). So thankful we found him/office!!

I found Smilz 4 Life on my insurance company’s website in 2010. I went just to see with a name like that, what kind of show they could be running. Turns out, it’s a pretty good one. The location was convenient for me on the Main Line, and is a short walk from the Bryn Mawr train station if you’re coming in from the city. The hygienist has gotten to know me over the past couple years, and we have great chats where I try to talk as she’s cleaning my teeth. She even lets me pick music from her ipod to play while I’m in the chair. She always does a fabulous job. The dentist has always been very kind, gentle and straightforward with me, and has never tried to sell me things I don’t need. I have always been treated well here. It is truly what a small business should be: a warm, welcoming, family atmosphere with a lot of personal attention paid to their clients. I moved out of Bryn Mawr, but will continue to come here for my cleanings and check ups as long as I’m in or around Philly.

Like many people I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist but those fears were quickly dissolved after just one appointment. I went there on Tuesday. And the one dental hygienist was so good to my son made him feel so secure that I could stay in the seating area to keep everything sterile because of covet 19 and my daughter wouldn’t wear a mask and she’s 2 years old but he felt so comfortable to be back there with her and I really appreciated it. She made my usually sensitive and anxious son feel calm and relaxed the entire time. Even managed to get X-rays done. It was a welcome surprise.

Excellent dentistry conditions. The office is well prepared for Covid-19 prevention. Patient are asked to wait in the car or outside the office until ready appointment time. Every room is clean and the staff all wear facemasks, gloves. Dr Fan wears additional face shield. All customers have to wear facemasks to enter the office until ready for exam. The equipment are all sterilized after use for each customer.

I came here after an accident and had to have full mouth cosmetic reconstruction after having suffered a broken jaw and multiple broken/missing teeth. I could not be happier with not only the final outcome, but the treatment I received by the staff. This practice was truly a find! I have since moved to NYC, but still take the train back to Bryn Mawr for my dental appointments.
