This is the only dental practice that my entire family and distant relatives trust. They are very professional and trustworthy, and have a very long history in the community, almost 30 years, or more? But make sure you set an appointment first. This dental office would deserve 6 stars if it were possible. The whole entire staff is very courtious and friendly for starters. Dr. Huang is easily the best dentist I have ever had. He explains everything he is doing, he is very thorough, professional, and friendly. I have had many dentists in the past that would try to get as much money out of you as possible, not caring about the patient. Dr. Huang lets you know exactly what needs to be done with no BS and cares about the patient and how he is feeling. I wil continue to go to this dentist. There is no need for me to even attemp to look for anyone else.

Dr.Huang is perhaps the greatest dentist i have ever had to due his thoughtfulness and passion for his work. Dr. Robert Huang is the best! Let me start off by saying that it’s been years since I’ve seen a dentist. I decided to search for a new dentist and after reading the yelp reviews for Cheng Dental, I scheduled an appointment with Dr.Huang. My toothache was really bad and I couldn’t tolerate the pain anymore. Dr.Huang is very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Because my tooth was extremely sensitive, I was expecting a lot of pain from the procedure. Dr.Huang was very careful with my tooth and frequently asked if I was doing okay, that made me feel more relaxed and I only experienced some pain (much less that I anticipated). I am pleased with my overall experience here & plan to come back for check ups and cleanings.

Everyone in the Office is pretty nice. My Dentist that I saw was very clear and informative about my teeth without sounding like he was nagging me. I’ve been going to Dr. Cheng’s since I was a kid..and I can say that the quality of care at this office has not changed one bit…if anything has gotten better. I love going to this office. It feels like home to me and any dentist you get here is amazing. Sure the atmosphere can be a little intimidating if you aren’t Asian but everyone at the office is really friendly. I mean come on now, we live in la!!! 🙂 And the food around the neighborhood is delicious, not to mention it’s right next to KFC!! My current dentist is Dr. Huang. He’s the best. Young, super nice, funny guy…I’m currently doing Invisalign tx with him and it’s great. Anyone debating on whether or not to fix a minor crowded tooth should really consider Invisalign. With Dr. Huang there are no loop holes or tricks and you never feel like he’s trying to sell you something like most dentists on the westside. You can tell when someone is genuine and honest and this simply is Dr. Huang. I’ve heard horror stories from friends and family members about awful dental experiences and I am lucky to say that I always have had great dental experiences at the most reasonable prices. When I visit Los Angeles, This is one place that I must visit for my dental care treatments. I really love the new changes (multiple air filters, extra-oral suction, everyone wearing masks and face shields, temperature checked for everyone). I guess that is the new normal nowadays. Thank you for everything. We know that it’s tough to see your patients with double masks, double gowns and double gloves!? Thank you again for seeing me. Dr. Robert Huang is by far… HANDS DOWN… the BEST dentist I have ever had! I have never been a fan of dentist visits but he has definitely changed my views! He is not only extremely friendly but also knowledgable! I love how he explains each procedure in detail which in turn alleviates my stress level and fear. I also appreciate the fact that he asks how I’m doing during procedures and makes it a priority that I feel little to no pain. He genuinely cares for his patients and works hard to accommodate individual needs. Came in for a general teeth cleaning and I met this lady Dr. May. She is a funny lady, she knows whether you are lying or bs-ing with her. You floss? (yes O_o) Really? Then use better flossing. Are you using a mouth guard at night? (yeah *_*) Ok, bring it with you next time, I want to take a look. -__- LOL, such a funny experience and I totally forgot about the pain. I will definitely come back for more major works. Dr. May speaks many languages, which is a plus! And she treats you like a little child which I find it very pampering and cute. They are great and conservative dentists at Cheng Dental. Dr May is my dentist for the past 5+years now. Dr Joe is my implant Dentist, they are very nice dentists! I never had my blood pressure measured in my previous dentists’ office before! Not even when I had my wisdom tooth removal years ago at the specialist clinic! At here, they checked my Blood pressure before the implant surgery appointment! My blood pressure was way too high and they have to send me back to my Physician to lower my Blood pressure! Dr. Joe is a very nice dentist, he even lectures me about the important of having a good blood pressure, even they have a very busy schedule on a Saturday afternoon. For the comment made by Sandy M. I have to disagree with your comments. As a patient at Cheng Dental for over 10 years myself, I have to say that it is very not nice of you to take your unsupported claims out on a public review site to hurt the reputation of a great dental clinic! Your comment is harsh and overarching! Please reconsider before hurting the reputation of a good dental clinic the next time you give a bad review.

My wisdom teeth was killing me last week and I planned to have them pulled out. I went to this place because of the recommendation of my friend. I called them and came to the dentistry on the same day where they examined my teeth and made an appointment to have my wisdom teeth pulled out 5 days later. They are friendly and patient. By the way, they speak both Chinese and English. On Saturday Dr. Au Yeung did the oral surgery on me, they are very skillful and pulled out all of my four wisdom teeth in just half an hour and I almost felt no pain at all (even though I am sensitive). The price is a little bit high but I think it’s worth it. Pulling out teeth is no longer a nightmare. They don’t have a parking lot, but street parking is plenty on nearby streets.

I see Dr. Robert Huang. My last dentist was an old medieval nightmare. Dr. Huang has been a dentist for 6yrs and still loves what he does! Young blood, no bitterness. He’s the nicest, so easy going, not judgmental, has a great attitude, and does great work. A professional. He also speaks Chinese. He knows his stuff and makes you feel ok asking and telling him everything. You can trust he won’t rip you off with unnecessary stuff because he lays out and explains all the options and price ranges for you. I went for teeth whitening (honestly not worth it for pain:price:results ratio in general) and to fix 2 crowns and a cavity. It all went pleasantly and smoothly. The 2nd crown I got actually cracked when he was putting it on and they reordered it, fixed everything, and there was no additional charge. He wasn’t even upset at the setback, he just took it for what it was worth and moved on. This is the kind of dentist you dream about! Just do your part by flossing and brushing. I know he has done some groupon deals, the prices are standard dental prices: you get what you’re willing to pay for and hopefully if you have insurance it’s not a nightmare (I don’t so I paid out of pocket, easy transactions). He might sing some times when he’s working on a procedure, and it lightens up the mood! Love it! He is there 3-4days of the week, call to make sure. Ask for him. Go to Dr. Bobby Huang! Parking is kind of cramped but basically go kind of behind the KFC (past it) and you can figure it out. The lot shares with apartment parking but signs make it easy to figure out. Or just park around there on the street and walk.

Visiting Dr Cheng dental clinic with a friend and his kid is about 7 years old and she is comfortable when Dr. May Chan review her X-ray photos on her implant teeth and be willing to cooperate with the guidance by Dr. Chan when doing the check up. The clinic location is convenient and is located in the main road of Las Tunas and you won’t miss it. You will get a reasonable bill and careful checkup for the service on your teeth health. The thing is, there are some dentists who work for only for money and some who work for more than that. I haven’t known Dr. Huang that long, but from what he has shown me in our 3-4 appointments, the care, compassion, and commitment to his patients’ oral hygiene health comes first before the money. That’s what I enjoy about Dr. Huang. I’ve had major work done and he’s treated me throughout the whole process. If you have a dental assistant named Maggie who can help you, all the better. Overall, I can rest knowing that Dr. Huang actually cares about my oral health and his commitment to improve it without being ‘fake’ with me. I plan on going back to him because he’s a different kind of dentist. All that said, you should figure it all out for yourself, afterall, as a consumer, you have every choice available. Best dentist experience I have had! I have been to at least 8 dentists in my life and I will no longer use anyone else but Dr. Robert Huang of Cheng Dental. I also have a uncle who is a dentist and I still prefer to use Dr. Huang. He has been completely straight forward and honest about the work I needed vs. all the work that could be done. He always lays out all options and their costs. He explains things so that I can understand and he provides great service. Over the past four years, I have had two in-lays, five fillings and a crown replacement with Dr. Huang. It is rare to have a dentist, like Dr. Huang, who spends the time to explain to you about what is going on with your teeth, gives you a good experience and gives you honest pricing. On top of being straight forward, honest and cheap; Dr. Huang also makes you feel comfortable during procedures by explaining whats going on and what to expect. Any poor reviews on yelp clearly weren’t using Dr. Robert Huang with Cheng dental.

I just went in for the first time last week, and they were pretty swamped. There were quite a few people there, so I had to wait for a good 15 minutes before my turn came up (and yes I had an appointment and was there on time) but who would be surprised that a doctor or dentist would be running behind, knowing that they need to see several patients before you. I went back the next day to start work on my teeth, and the doctor was very friendly, outgoing, funny and was very good about letting me know exactly what he was doing throughout the process. Everyone seemed pretty accommodating to me, and the work was performed pretty quickly. Also, can’t complain about the price. I should have all of my teeth problems fixed by the end of this week, and it will not have cost me an arm and a leg.

I want to start off by saying dr. Robert huang is one of the nicest dentist out there. I have had my share of horrible dental experiences so it was nice to finally find a place that made me want to come back. The staff are pretty nice and they are good about making appointments that work with your schedule. The best part is when they call you a day before to remind you of your appointment! Since I havent gone to a dentist for a long time I had to get a lot of work done. I had to get get porcelin inlays instead of fillings. The procedure did take awhile but dr.huang was diligent and made me feel at ease while he was working on me. The best part is they came out great! Had a very good experience during the pandemic here. I am so glad to see Dr May again. When I was here on a Saturday morning, the office is not as crowded as before. I was told that they limit the amount of patients each day now. I had full attention from the staffs. All the staffs have their face masks and face shields on. They had my temperature checked, asked me to clean my hands with hand sanitizers and rinse my mouth with a special rinse. The staff explained to me about an extra oral suction machine. It is pretty loud to me, I will recommend others to bring a headphones or ear plugs to their appointment. I saw multiple air filters in the front desk and in the treatment rooms. The office is very clean with strong AC. I felt very comfortable and safe. Dr May is always nice and gentle during the procedure. She showed me the proper way to wear the mask too. Very heartwarming at this difficult time. We will be back for our cleaning appts.

I was having a terrible toothache and I randomly found this dental office. I was so lucky that they arranged a same day appointment for me with Dr. May (many thanks to the front desk staff for squeezing me in!). Dr. May was very patient, gentle and professional. The assistant took some X-rays for me and Dr. May did a very thorough exam. She explained my teeth condition to me in details and let me know all my treatment options and her recommendations. I feel I was well informed before I made my decisions. Dr. May started the root canal on my tooth and got rid of the terrible pain that had been torturing me. This is my second time visiting for a teeth cleaning. Dr Tim is my mom’s dentist so I chose him too. The first time here I felt the cleaning was sloppy and I wasn’t planning on coming back. I felt they were just too much in a rush to get patients through the door even though no one else was there except us. This time around they took extra care in the teeth cleaning process and made me feel at home. The nurse or helper was very funny. She took extra time and energy in polishing my teeth and opening a fresh bottle of hydrogen peroxide for me to rinse with. For my mom she’s been coming here for years. She wasn’t very pleased when Dr. Tim dropped a drill on her lip which split her lip open while doing a procedure. He apologized but it sure hurt my mom and in our family pic this weekend I could see it. Anyhow she will return again another day.

One of my silver filling was broken today, sad day. I called the office, told them that it hurts and there is a hole on my tooth, they told me to come in right away. It was awful that when Dr. Cheng complete remove the old filling, it was so big that a crown was inevitable. Finally, yours truly is getting one of those, call me Queen please. To conserve tooth structure, and as a proud USC dentist, Dr. Cheng recommended to make a 7/8 gold crown. After all the pros and the cons, I’ve decided to go with the slightly pricier option, the tooth is in the far back, no one will ever see it. He was quick, painless, and all was done beautifully. I was so thankful that he saw me without an appointment, resolve my pain, and made me a beautiful crown–which will be delivered in 2 weeks, I will post update to follow up! Dr May is my dentist for more than 5 years, she is very professional and honest. She is also my kid’s dentist, and my kids like her so much. My son has a cavity in his teeth, if it’s not that bad, she will suggest wait to see. Need to write a review for Dr. Long. Firstly they open on Sunday which actually saved me for one weekend when my wisdom tooth pain almost killed me. I recently came back to Cheng Dental for some fillings. Just as before, Dr. Robert Huang is amazing! During my interaction with Dr. Huang on my first visit back, I suddenly realized I miss him so much as a result of some unfortunate dental experiences I have encountered elsewhere since my last service from him. During this absent time interval, I have tried 7 other dentists. And now about 2 years later seeing Dr. Huang again reminded me of how wonderful he had been and therefore made me realize that only he has the total package (Smart & Skilled + Gentle & Patient + Caring & Kind + Ethical & Honest + Young & Very Tall). Dr. Robert Huang is THE DENTIST for me! The front-desk person I dealt with before was Dina. She was perfect, wonderful, and exceeded my expectation of good customer service. Due to schedule change, I’m now dealing mainly with another front-desk person, David Tseng, who is just as great. He is very knowledgeable with the dental insurance billing, a go-getter and always so eager to help. You won’t be disappointed. If he couldn’t do certain things for you, it is because of orders from above, not him. On this first visit back, I felt sad to find out my favorite dental assistant Lu-Hua Li no longer works here; she retired! Shocking … I thought she would always be available when I come back. What a tragedy, I never got a chance to say goodbye. I still remembered she was a kind soul who hand held and helped saved me from stress and tension during the whole dental ordeal. It meant a lot to me because I was more fearful of dental work back then. I will never forget she was there for me at a time when I was hopelessly horrified! To my fortunate surprise, in my first visit back, I met three other just as wonderful dental assistants, Sue, Harriet, and Katie. They are sweet, caring, and diligent ladies. Of course Lu-Hua Li is always going to be my favorite because I met her first, kind of like “my first love” concept. It’s rare to run into so many good people one by one respectively. I don’t know how or where Dr. Huang found these fine ladies, but I am so happy to have met them! Recently by chance I found out that Dr. Robert Huang also works at Blue Pearl Dentistry in the Carthay area of Los Angeles that borderlines Beverly Hills. In fact, he is the founder and owner there! It’s about a year old so everything is pretty much brand new: new office, new dental equipments & chairs, new furnitures & TVs, new atmosphere, new smell, etc.! I’m planning to check it out at my earliest convenience. In short, I highly recommend Dr. Robert Huang as the BEST dentist anywhere, anytime, and at any location!!

I was referred here by my co-worker, my experience was very very good! First of all, they open till pretty late!!! I scheduled my first app at 7pm on a Monday! I was greeted by a lady at the front desk who gave me some new patient forms immediately after I walked in the office! After I filled out my forms, I was called to the dental chair. The dental office is old, but it is very clean with strong AC! My wait was very minimum, I love the lady who took my X-rays! She was very nice and efficient (no pain or discomfort at all) My dentist Dr May, she is also very nice and friendly. She explained everything to me very clearly and she gave me different treatment options. She really took her time to show me how to floss and recommended me to get a water-flosser! I didn’t know that I had been flossing wrong all these years in my life! Because no one show me how to do it right! Their price is pretty reasonable and fair!
