I have an extreme phobia when it comes to dental offices. I came here and for once I wasn’t gagging and clenching. I needed a deep cleaning and I have never had an oral cancer screen until I came here. The quality of the work is absolutely amazing. I can tell the difference between a small practice that cares and a big corporation that just wants to fix the issue to get to the next person. Interstate dental clinic is now my forever dental office. My teeth are clean and my gums are in better shape than they have ever been. The other clinics didn’t offer the quality and care I needed Dr.Ward did and has been maintaining my gum health for years and through the whole pandemic and I feel safe when I am there. They have air filters,doors on the rooms and all the latest new equipment . He has this thing called mr.thirsty that I love I don’t feel like I’m drowning in the chair. And I love the bbq he has in the summer ribs,fish and a to go plate for work.

I just wanna update my review after having a root canal done by Dr. Ward. He is a great doctor, knows what he is doing. I have been numbed 20+ times in my life and this has been the best numbing (or experience in general) I have ever had.. did not feel a thing, he was so gentle. Always checking in on me making sure I was okay and comfortable. Let me know what was going on through it all, let me listen to my headphones and music during, because I am the biggest baby ever. I highly highly recommended him and this place as a whole. Doreen is so sweet, and so good at her job. Love love love!

I went to see Dr. Ward today after moving to Portland from Los Angeles. I was a bit nervous because I’ve been seeing the same dentist in LA for 10 years. I needed a crown replaced and it happens to be the very most back tooth on my upper row. I was not looking forward to getting this done but I was glad I went to Dr. Ward. His staff is super friendly and the dental clinic is very cute. From the reviews, it just seems like people are used to a more contemporary office, but I immediately liked the charm and the fact that it wasn’t a dentist/dental work mill. I felt appreciated as a customer and well taken care of. Even though the tooth was hard to reach, the doctor did so with such care. I can say also that I love to feed into black businesses and was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Ward is African-American. The music they played helped to distract me during the process and I was able to ask the doctor a lot of questions, which he answered with much clarity. He also has a screen that shows you your tooth’s X-Ray so the dental strategy can be discussed effectively. I was surprised to see the reviews from 2011 and felt compelled to leave one that’s current. This is my new Portland dental clinic/dentist. Excellent experience.

I love my dentist ! On Saturdays he gave our family flowers. I really feel appreciated at this office. He tells me I’m the boss and we will go at my pace. In the summer time they had a big barbecue and my whole family ate it was absolutely amazing. While working on my teeth he hums it’s so relaxing and sweet. My kids love him. Every issue I had with my teeth has been resolved and looks amazing. Since Covid started he was already prepared the whole office was upgraded and has a lot of new changes. He now offers options to go to you and treat you at the comfort of your own home . I deserve good teeth even in the middle of a pandemic and so do you!

I’ve been seeing Dr Ward since 2007 and am an extremely satisfied patient. The level of compassion and care I receive is ABOVE AND BEYOND, he truly cares for his patients, and he does incredible work. Dr Ward makes every effort to ensure that I feel comfortable and safe every time, and I never feel like I’m being rushed– even if procedures take a little more time than anticipated. I trust him 100%, which is exactly how you want to feel about your dentist. He’s currently open 7 days a week (despite the hours listed here on Yelp) and has been able to get my mouth back in order QUICK, post-quarantine. Tooth stuff can be scary! What a relief it is, knowing I’m in Dr. Ward’s care.. Gentle, PERSONAL care— plus, 9 times out of 10 he’s ready to rock ON TIME! These things are pretty huge to me and it keeps me coming back. Plenty of free parking in the neighborhood & it’s a very short walk from the Killingsworth Yellow line MAX stop…. I cannot recommend Dr Ward enough!

I have been a patient of Dr. Wards for many years. He is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. His office is small, quaint clean and homey. I have had filings, a root canal, crown, as well as my routine cleanings done here. Dr. Ward makes sure I’m comfortable and as pain free as possible. He is always on schedule and prompt. The one time he kept me waiting more then 10 minutes he was sweet enough to give me a gift card to apologize which I thought was above and beyond as I know medical and dental offices can get behind. I’d highly recommend Interstate Dental the whole staff is great. Oh and he is open Saturdays and gives roses to his patients if you are scheduled on a Saturday.

I have came here to get a cleaning and wisdom tooth removed. I was pretty anxious about the procedure but knew I could trust Dr. Ward and his team. He has so many years of experience and he really takes the time to make you feel comfortable. He did an amazing job! I thought it would be a little tricky to get it out but I was surprised when he was done. I even had to ask if they got it out because I didn’t even notice. They are so thoughtful and you can tell that they really do care about you. I even got a call later that day to make sure I was okay. Doreen at the front desk is the best!
