Super impressed with Dr Ash and his amazing staff. I was a patient of Dr Armstrong for over a decade. When he retired, it made me nervous because I’m picky. Dr Ash listened. I never felt rushed or discouraged. He designed a plan compatible with my information and I know I’m in good hands. If you’re terrified of the dentist, I suggest considering this dentist. One more thing. I’ve walked out of offices for 2 reasons, Being rude and heavy handed. That never happens at this office. I’m comfortable showing up in my metaphorical pajamas. Seriously. I’m a hand wringing, nail biting five year old in the chair but I always leave the building better =)

I had an emergency, had no dentist in ABQ, and was offered a same day appointment with Dr Ash. I was treated kindly and with respect. Dr Ash put me at my ease with a relaxed, informative and professional approach. He did not suggest extensive treatment, instead providing a fast and economic solution, which immediately took away my pain and cured the problem. I am now a patient here.

I too was sad to see Dr. Armstrong leave his practice because he always took such extra good care of me as I am such a baby when it comes to pain ☺ I believe I’m in good hands with Dr. Ash and love the whole team over there.

After being a long term patient of Dr. Armstrong’s, I knew that when he retired he would ensure his patients future dental needs would be provided by a dentist of excellent character, dental knowledge and skills, which he did. Dr. Ash is kind, caring and gentle and includes you in current and future care decisions. The hygienists and patient care coordinator, Jerry are all top notch as well. I have previously referred Dr. Ash and will continue to recommend going forward.

After consulting with three potential dentists for full upper dentures and partial lower ones, I decided on Dr. Ash. I am very glad I did, and feel that he is by far the best dentist I have encountered during my 11 years living in Albuquerque.. Dr. Ash is sincere and sensitive to the patient, plus he is a darn good dentist. He is genuine, and a kind man.. When he was fitting my upper plate, he did it himself. It really went as well as I could have hoped. I highly recommend him. (Posted for my 72-year-old father)

I just returned from Dr. Ash’s office with the most amazingly perfect crown replacement. I couldn’t have even imagined that a false tooth could look so real. This didn’t happen accidentally. His staff and team work together to make sure me and my family are taken care of. At first I intended to see Dr. Ash for just myself. Then my husband scheduled himself. Next we arranged for Dr Ash to start being our children’s dentist. After having Dr. Ash take care of all 4 of us we 100% recommend his dental services. We also had one particular charge amount that seemed a little high to Dr. Ash’s office manager Jerry. Jerry took the extra time to go the extra mile for us and the charge came back almost half of the original amount. Every visit has been comfortable and calm because of Dr. Ash and his team. They let me know what is happening, what our options are, what their clear recommendations are, and we feel in control of what decisions are being made. I don’t feel like I need to go out and research dentistry to participate in the decision making because details are explained calmly and clearly.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ash since my very long-time dentist retired after performing an extensive search for the right person to join and take over his practice. He found a jewel in Dr. Ash. I’ve had the misfortune to need him for more than the typical cleaning, etc.. I’ve always been impressed by his quick response to my needs and his thoroughness. His approach is to explain your problems, fix the ones which he feels need immediate attention and make you aware of the ones looming on the horizon. He definitely doesn’t try to maximize your bill.

Love the whole team over there with Dr. Ash. He answered all the questions I had for him on my first visit and was completely honest with me.Over the years I have had some really horrendous circumstances with dentists so… being in good hands… helps to put me in a safer place when going to get my teeth worked on.

One of the best dental experiences to date. I went in as a new customer for a cleaning and overall eval. The staff were professional and friendly. My hygienist took care of me without any unnecessary pain or discomfort, a truly pleasant experience. Dr. Ash was friendly and caring, well informed and intelligently addressed my needs. It’s rare to find a dental practice as comfortable and competent as this. Also, I showed up ten minutes late and they were kind enough to still see me. I was informed I was pushing the envelope of having my appointment cancelled but they still accommodated me. Truly a class act.

Dr. Ash is a fantastic dentist running a great operation. I first contacted his office due to several chipped teeth, needing a few extractions, needing crowns, and fillings due to a preexisting condition. I articulated how sensitive my mouth is to his staff and they handled it as well as I could have hoped. They evaluated the state of my mouth, created a plan to address the issues right then and there (including different options that were available as well as the financial cost of each option), and he was able to plainly and simply explain to me what was happening, what had caused it, and prevention measures in the future (such as Clinpro toothpaste). Throughout the experience Dr. Ash and his staff did everything possible to ensure the comfort of the patient, utilizing several numbing techniques (as well as having the option of using laughing gas at any time for a fixed fee of $75 per use, if memory serves me correctly), and offering ibuprofen if pain is anticipated once the numbing wears off. He also personally went out of his way to ensure that all of the work was done in the most cost efficient manner. Dr. Ash refuses to up-charge and will instead offer discounts depending on the work set to be done. He also has a dental payment plan that is available should you need to pay incrementally. Additionally, he gave me his personal number to contact him in the event that the healing process gave me something unexpected, and he has responded and gone out of his way on the weekend (!!!) to give me his professional advice on varying topics related to my procedures, what to expect, and if what i’m experiencing is ‘normal’. He is also willing to prescribe pain medication for the severe pain/procedures (like extractions) where ibuprofen or similar pain killers just aren’t enough. His staff is fantastic, warm, and friendly – starting with Jerry who greets me with a smile (or used to, before COVID, now I just assume he’s smiling under his mask) upon my arrival. His dental hygienists are friendly and I have had a number of good conversations on a variety of topics that had nothing to do with dentistry. The equipment doesn’t appear to be ‘state of the art’, but he is able to do everything efficiently nonetheless. My only complaint is that Dr. Ash, who is himself a musician, has such a robust playlist of music (from his library, not spotify or radio) that I will routinely hear songs that i’ve never heard before, instantly like, and want to purchase myself, only to forget it a few songs later when the process inevitably repeats itself. I still have not heard the same song more than once and I’d say i’ve spent roughly 15 hours in his chair over the past calendar year. All in all, Dr. Ash will be my dentist for as long as I’m within a 100 mile radius of his office. Cannot say enough good things about this practice.

Ecstatic!! What a gentle and awesome experience! From the moment we walked into the dental office we were treated with dignity and respect. Jerry the receptionist and the dental assistants were amazing, they were always super nice and helpful! The whole office is spotless Dr Russell Ash is one of a kind, he’s job is outstanding, I can’t thank him enough for caring and helping me out!!! He took the time not only to explain step by step of my dental treatment, he also begin working on the top priorities. I can’t wait to share with you all this journey with Dr. Russell Ash and his team!

Always, every time, every visit, GREAT service and skill! From Jerry up front handling the insurance questions and scheduling – to every single tech or hygienist I’ve ever had there – to Dr. Ash, knowledgeable and competent! I’ve been going to this dentist for years. Always a positive, pleasant experience. Even  in April 2020 during the height of the COVID closures, they got me in right away for an emergency issue that had to be seen ASAP. Go to this dentist!!!!

Dr. Ash is simply the best to me in dentistry care. He took time with me as his patient to explain details to explain options to explain possibilities. Absolutely no pain for a tooth extraction. Never felt a needle. He is kind and considerate of his patients needs. If all my fingers were thumbs he would definitely be 10 thumbs up!

Very happy Dr. Ash has come to this location. Was sad to see Dr. Armstrong go, but pleased that he brought someone in that is wonderful. Already in the short time he’s been here he has done several things for my family. We are very thankful!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

I was raised in Colorado Springs, CO. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado at their medical campus in Denver. This training provided opportunities to serve in a wide variety of settings from pediatric clinics to retirement centers. I've been a dentist for over 5 years. I truly believe you'll find that I work hard to treat people with patience, empathy and compassion - not just because it is good business, but because I enjoy my work more when I do. Because I would expect the same, I strive to provide quality work, and I try to help people understand their various treatment options and why treatment may be needed. When I'm not practicing dentistry I'm generally busy with family. My wife Maria and I will have been married for twelve years and we enjoy many activities together with our three children including sports, music, and the outdoors. I particularly enjoy guitar and playing, making and listening to music.
