I have had a number of dentists over the years and Sam is as good as it gets. He’s done a couple of crowns and they have ALWAYS worked out fine. I have never had any trouble. Also- Sam did an implant tooth for me- complete w/ a titanium stud! The tooth is GREAT and once again I have never had an issue with it. Sooo much better than a bridge would have been. Sam’s work is top notch. I recommend him big time- and I don’t like dentists!

It’s been months since I visited Dr. Lavi for some emergency work, but this must be said.  He and his office staff are top notch!  Definitely a Five Star experience. I absolutely recommend this Dentist! My wife found Dr. Lavi’s office one morning after I experienced one of those oh-oh moments during breakfast. While eating some toast, I suddenly chomped down on something hard and felt something wasn’t right. Half of my molar broke off!  How the hell does that even happen?!  Luckily, I felt very little pain but knew I had to take care of this. I didn’t have a dentist. I hadn’t been to one in years. I brush, I floss, I don’t need a dentist, right?!  Well now I did and I dreaded what kind of hell was waiting for me at some strange Dentist Office.  Let me tell you something. The visit and the experience couldn’t have been easier and the office staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I had to have a crown molded and crafted to fit over my new tooth-stump.  Dr. Lavi discussed with me what happened, clearly laid out my options and offered real advice that was both professional and personal. I even decided to have my first cleaning in years since I was there. I’m a big fan of the helpful numbing gel to just make the poking and prodding go easier.  Anything to help me forget that I’m in a Dentist’s chair. Within days, my crown had arrived and Dr. Lavi put that baby in perfectly on the first try. I couldn’t be more relieved and thankful. Dr. Lavi is the real deal and the experience was really pleasant, painless and easy

Dr Lavi is a wonderful person and dentist.  I first started seeing Dr. Lavi when I moved to Studio City a little over 2 years ago.  I needed a new dentist who was local and his reviews were very good.  I fully agree and have made the right decision. Up until now my treatments have been minor, routine cleanings and x-rays.  Suddenly I began experiencing some sensitivity in one of my teeth and emailed the office in the middle of the night.  First thing in the morning I got a response with a time to come in. Dr. Lavi examined me and gave me options.  He started with the least extreme and also least expensive.  It was a welcomed change from the other dentists I have been to who really seem to try to get the most money out of their patients regardless of whether or not that is the best course of action. I left with a wonderful feeling that all was on the right path. Dr. Lavi is personable and professional. I can easily wholeheartedly recommend this dentist

I have avoided dentist offices for 13 years after a string of bad childhood experiences. After my first appointment Dr. Lavi told me I would need to have a procedure and he was very understanding. I was weirdly expecting him to be annoyed by the state of my dental health. My only regret of this experience is that I didn’t come sooner. He removed the infected tooth as well as a discolored tooth in the front that I’ve been embarrassed about for years. And if his positive manner isn’t enough, Ora the dental assistant / receptionist is a god send! She worked with me on my payments (I didn’t have insurance) and called to make sure I was okay Thank you so much, I can’t say enough positive things about this place. I absolutely love it. Which is not something I thought I would EVER say about a Dentist Office!

If you are like me, the last thing you want to do is go to see the dentist. At least that is how I used to feel until I visited Dr. Sam Lavi at the Downtown Los Angeles location. From my first visit, I knew I was in caring hands. Dr. Lavi combines excellent dental skills with compassion for his patients. His entire office staff reflects this same style and attentiveness. They are friendly, thoughtful and very professional. So, if you want the best dental care, combined with a comfortable and caring environment, you really need to visit Dr. Sam Lavi!

Dr. Lavi’s dentist office is awesome. The staff are all very nice. I’ve never had to wait whenever I’ve made an appointment. The waiting area is nice and roomy. The whole office is very clean and modern. Their technology is state of the art. Dr. Lavi is kind and gentle. He really makes you feel like you’re his patient, not just a chart he needs to get through. He takes his time with the examination and he procedures. I highly recommend this office. It’s very convenient if you’re in the downtown area. You’re in and out w/o a lot of waiting. Also, the cost is very competitive. I definitely feel like I’m getting my value for what they charge

I do not like going to the Dentist, Doctor or anything health related for that matter…Dr Lavi and his staff of amazing people have changed that.   The office is beautiful, not clinical.  The people are not staff, they are family to every patient that walks in the door.   He is ahead of the curve with state of the art equipment like lasers, which I now know truly are painless… No needles! To top it off… They are there to help you… Not sell you.  Problems I have had for decades, no other dentist followed thru on solutions for… He solved!! My gums are the healthiest they have ever been, my teeth are exquisite and I now have a proper mouth guard to help me when I grind my teeth at night. I highly recommend.  Just dont make him so busy I can’t get an appointment

I can say at 38 years old, I’ve been anything but kind to my teeth and gums. I used to chew tobacco, I brush too hard, I chew ice, I grind my teeth so bad I’ve literally broken one off. Let’s put it this way… On the check list of things a dentist doesn’t want you to do… I’ve go a lot of X’s Dr. Lavi has been able to help with all of these issues, fix everything with ease, and get me on the right track. He and his incredible staff are extremely friendly, helpful, professional and caring. All of your questions are answered and the whole process is covered in great detail, from the explanation of benefits, to the procedures themselves. You are encouraged to make informed decisions about your dental treatment with the guidance of a top-notch team and you are never pushed towards any unnecessary services or products. From the second you arrive and are greeted by Sandra, you’re made to feel as if you’re the only appointment. Obviously, that’s not the case, but you are never rushed, nor do you ever have to wait. Truly an amazing feat of scheduling and time management for such a busy dental practice. Even though I moved a while back and his office is no longer a short drive away, I make the time in my schedule. I’m less than 10 miles away, but on the 101, that’s about a 3 hour drive 😉  Nonetheless, I wouldn’t even consider going to a different dentist and neither should you. I absolutely recommend Dr. Lavi to everyone

You have no idea the painful, sleepless hell I’ve been through. Finding this dentist was like a surprise day off and it’s a perfect beach day. If you read my previous review of another office, you’ll get my back story. In short, I had a root canal elsewhere, the root canal went well but the crown made my gums really sore, but I thought it was my tooth rotting out and trying to kill me. Last night I spent the night awake, whimpering and after 1600mg of ibuprofen, still considered ripping the tooth out myself. I called as soon as it opened and they said that they didn’t have an appointment until tomorrow for their downtown location, but if I could get to Studio City they would squeeze me in because she “really want to help me.” I was very happy to hear that. I had to take the bus so I was a little late, which I know is super annoying with a busy practice. Even so, I barely waited at all and everyone was still very eager to help me. Sandra, the woman at the front desk is by far the nicest person I’ve met in a long time. She looked genuinely upset when I told her I lost sleep over the pain and when I left she told me to stay strong. She also set up an appointment for a cleaning for me in 6 months, which is awesome because I’m not one to go out of my way to make an appointment, but now that I have it I’ll go. The other woman at the desk was also very nice and checked in on me while I was waiting for the dentist. The dental assistant, David I believe, offered me water and asked if I needed anything. Throughout the check up he kept checking to make sure I was ok and warned me to breathe through my nose because there will be a lot of water. Also a really nice person. When I saw Dr. Lavi, I was honestly just dreading the moment he had to touch my tooth. I even took a deep breath and closed my eyes. After he started working I was just like, oh ok. When he heard I had pain, instead of stabbing the affected area with different objects and temperatures, he lightly tapped it and was very gentle with the floss. I went from trying to prepare for inevitable torturous pain to a giant feeling of relief. He filed down my crown, explained the other issues I was having and assured me that I could come back with any problems. When I left, Sandra gave me Dr. Lavi’s cell phone number for emergencies. Now that is someone who cares. Usually when my tooth acts up, it’s after hours and I feel helpless. Now I don’t have to feel that way and I know I can talk to a group of genuine people that have my best interest in mind. Also, Dr. Lavi went to school in New Jersey, which is where I’m from, so 10 points for that. Second, his name is Sam, so add another 10. Another step toward settling down in LA, I’ve found my dentist
