When I was 4 months pregnant I had a bad toothache but for some reason couldn’t find a dentist who would see me. I called several, and the two different dentist offices that I actually went to, turned me away even WITH A DOCTORS NOTE! Finally, when I was 8 months pregnant the pain was unbearable so I called 1800 dentist, who paged Dr. Lavi, who called me back five minutes later at 1 AM on SUNDAY morning. He saw me immediately at 8 AM  and fixed the problem I had been dealing with for months! I have been back for a few more visits to both his Studio City and Downtown offices and his staff remembers me and they are always nice and pleasant to deal with. I have crappy dental insurance, so its still kind of expensive, but his office understands and is nice enough to work with me. Bottom Line : If you hate going to the dentist, go here because the service and staff make up for having to go in the first place

Kelly B. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

I broke a wisdom tooth recently and called Dr.Lavi’s office on a whim. They were able to take me right away to extract my tooth where the other places said 2-3 weeks!  I jumped at the chance to get this out and I was so shocked to learn that it was walking distance from my house!  I was very nervous because of the horror stories I’ve heard over the years and his staff  made me feel so comfortable.  It was actually kind of a breeze( I’ve had more pain from a hard workout).    I do need a little bit of work done so I’ll be going back soon but thanks to Dr.Lavi and his staff I am not scared of the dentist anymore!

Channing A. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

First of all I hate the thought of the dentist and I have major anxiety! Major! I haven’t been to a dentist in a long time..I was referred by two people close to me and I’m so glad i finally went to Dr. Lavi. I’ve had a lot of work done, fillings, extractions, caps, root canals, and braces (twice!) so I’ve been to a LOT of dentists. Dr. Lavi and his staff are by far the sweetest and most gentle people. They call and check on you the next day, they ask how you are at every step. Along with a Cap (They do this on site, you don’t have to go back because they make it there!) and a deep cleaning, he took one of my wisdom teeth out today and i was so scared! It was literally less than 2 minutes, no pain and I didn’t even know it was out until he told me! Even the recovery hasn’t been that bad. I’ve had a really really GREAT experience here and i truly recommend them to ANYONE! Especially if you’re scared or hate the dentist, because at this point I’m not even afraid to go back because i trust that it won’t hurt and he does an amazing job!

Anya S. from Austin, TX (Source: Yelp)

Dr Lavi and his team were FANTASTIC and I cannot recommend them enough! If you need a dentist, go here! I usually hate going to the dentist, but for the first time ever had a good experience. Unlike so many other dental offices who lecture and scold you, making you feel ashamed and stupid, Dr. Lavi and Ora the dental hygienist were kind and understanding. They did not judge or embarrass me, but explained everything patiently and in a pleasant, professional manner. I usually tense up and squirm a lot during dental work, but they were both very gentle and reassuring and I experienced minimal discomfort during my deep cleaning. I was also really impressed with the transparency regarding costs and procedures. I had a chip in my tooth that was causing pain and could be treated by a root canal. However, instead of going for the most painful, invasive, and expensive procedure, Dr. Lavi recommended a conservative approach with a filling, that would hurt and cost less. That was very considerate. The person who complained about “dollar signs” on here is completely wrong. After thoroughly explaining the procedure, Dr. Lavi specifically double checked the cost for me with my insurance, made sure I was OK with the amount, and only then proceeded with the filling. There were no surprises, financially or physically. Overall, this is a great team at a convenient DTLA location. They also have an office in Studio City and I will be recommending them everyone!

Annie N. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Dr. Lavi is a great dentist, and they have a great staff here. I had my wisdom tooth extracted 2 years ago. What makes this special? My horrid history with mal-practice with dentists meant I had a bridge put in on top of where my wisdom tooth was coming in. Dr Lavi told me he would try to surgicaly go in for the wisdom tooth from the side in a way that would not mean cutting my $2500 bridge. It was risky, but he did it successfully. They follow up on you, care for you, and answer all of your questions. Especially David at the front desk. I recommend this practice for sure

Hilnah M. from Studio City, Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

I love this place!! It always feels like you are being taken care of by family. I Have been coming to Dr. Lavi and Ora for a few years now, they always try to work around my schedule and are great help with all my dental needs (sometimes also with life needs 🙂 ) The entire staff are always professional and courteous. I got my crown and mouth guard done by Dr. Lavi and they both work great and feel good. I also get my teeth cleaned here every few months and they always feel super clean. I would totally recommend this place to anyone who is needs a really good dentist!

M. L. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Just went to Dr. Lavi two days ago. I found out about them by chance as I walked past their office downtown. The office was very clean and professional looking. The staff were friendly. Since I was in need of a new dentist at the time I decided to continue my care at his office. Dr. Lavi is very nice and doesnt try to encourage you into unnecessary procedures. I tried out another dentist (just for the convenience of the office being around the corner from my house) while I had been seeing Dr. Lavi.  The dentist said I had several cavities that would require $3,000 worth of dental work that Dr. Lavi had not detected only 6 months before. I went back to Dr. Lavi for a 2nd opinion and he saw nothing but some minor staining, but no tooth decay. He’s clearly not out for your money like some others. He showed me an old filling that was decaying and made sure I understood exactly what was going on instead of just talking at you. They are expensive, and i dont have dental insurance, but in my opinion getting cheap dental work is not the best idea. I would highly recommend him either the downtown office or studio city!

Jordan S. fom Tonopah, AZ (Source: Yelp)

Overall a fantastic experience. From the moment you enter you are greeted with a warm welcome. Dr. Lavi’s staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have. Dr. Lavi takes his time to make sure everything is as it should be. He is very friendly and knowledgable. You even have access to his cell phone number. The appointments are over very quickly and are relatively painless. Would recommend to a friend!

Adam S. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

Absolutely the Best Dentist Around!!  I had a really bad impacted tooth, and actually shopped around for dentist.  Dr. Lavi was definitely the best dentist I have ever been to.    He is all about conservation of the tooth, and will never give you work you don’t need.  I offered to buy him drinks the other day, because he saved me from having to get a crown.  The guy is the best, and you should have faith and confidence in him. David at the Front is also extremely helpful, and knows the inner workings of the insurance policies, and will help you through the entire process.. These guys are the best!!!  I can’t recommend them enough

Dr. Lavi has been very good with my teeth for fifteen years. During this time we have done tooth repair to my molars and one root canal. I still have all my 32 natural teeth and I am 66 1/2 years old. He is patient with me and he makes me feel cared for. I think his skill and judgement are extraordinary. For example, I don’t think he overtreats you and I believe the prices are reasonable. He also seems to attract only the greatest staff. Thank you Dr. Lavi! (Hope you won’t get swamped after this!

Robert C. from Greater Avenues, Salt Lake City, UT (Source: Yelp)

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Lavi and his staff. I was visiting LA for an ophthalmology conference and was scheduled for numerous lectures for the week. Cracked a tooth on the first evening. Using the internet I found Dr Lavi and requested an emergency appointment. They were able to see me despite my tight schedule within a few hours. Dr Lavi and his staff were friendly and professional. I’d hire any of his staff myself. Dr Lavi repaired my tooth in only about 15 minutes and got me back to work. Kudos to this Doctor and his entire staff!

Janis A. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

I had gone to another dentist a few years ago to get full implants on my upper mouth. I had to have all my upper teeth pulled out. For the past two years ever since my teeth were pulled out and I had implants put in I had nothing but trouble. The teeth kept braking and I was constantly going g back to the dentist. It was terrible. Then I found Dr. Lavi. He saved my sanity. It took only 2 weeks and Dr. Lavi gave me the most beautiful teeth ever. When I looked in the mirror and saw these beautiful teeth I cried. They looked exactly like I had always wanted them to look and the other teeth never looked like these. I’m so happy I can’t stop smiling. Thank you so much Dr. Lavi and Ora and Zora for making me feel pretty again. Your guys are the Bomb!!! Next week I start on the bottom teeth. BTW…..if you are concerned about COVID 19, they take extreme care to make sure everything is clean and safe

TrojanGal M. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Let me first say, I have the most anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. Anything that involves needles, drilling and pulling out teeth scares the living daylights out of me. I just got home from my appointment today and it was the best experience I had. It started out as just a regular cleaning, but it led to Dr. Lavi with fixing my chipped and acid-eroded tooth. I’ve always wanted this tooth fixed because of the hypersensitivity I was experiencing when eating or drinking cold food/drinks. He was extremely gentle and careful that I felt very comfortable and the nerves went away. Omar was amazing with keeping me clean and had the most pleasant and positive attitude. Super sweet. Thanks Omar, you are the best! Ora did my teeth cleaning and she was soooooo patient and kind when it came to my gazillion questions. She made sure I was taken care of and was also very gentle when doing my cleaning. Denine the receptionist encouraged me to get my chipped tooth and bonding done, she provided all the information I needed and reassured me that there will be no pain, and that Dr. Lavi is the best when doing the bonding procedure. Thanks again, there was ZERO pain. I’m extremely satisfied. My favorite part of it all was that they all had smiles on their faces. This is a better experience than my last dental place. Thanks again Dr. Lavi, I will certainly be returning to this place!

I’ve been having hard time dealing with my health care in California and had a few bad experiences with clinics before so I spent 2 days to research dentists that seems trustable and I found here. Every stuffs were very kind and listened to me and I feel comfortable and safe and doctor seems very honest kind and also caring including my health situations not only with teeth. For someone rated bad review about prices, they just should double checks with both insurance company and dentist before. It’s really common here in u.s the people from insurance company can easily gives some wrong informations of your plan depends on people works there and can easily occur some miscommunications. I was so glad that I found this dentist !! A Trustable dentists in U.S!

Emily R. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

I pass by Dr. Lavi’s office every morning on my way to work and thought I would try it, as it’s such a convenient location and looks like a nice place. When I walked to the office on my lunch break to make an appointment, the staff greeted me warmly and were very helpful in scheduling an appointment for a cleaning and exam that worked perfectly with my schedule – early in the morning, so I would only miss an hour of work. Saundra took care of contacting my insurance and gave me an form to fill out in advance so I did not have to fill it out when I came in for my appointment. When I went in for my cleaning, I found the staff to be very professional and kind, my cleaning was quick and thorough – Dr. Lavi made a few recommendations which I’ll definitely be scheduling within the next few months. If you are looking for a great dentist office Downtown LA – you should go here!

Edward W. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

While I already have a primary dentist, I thought why not take my friend up on her offer to check out Dr. Lavi and compare pricing for a cosmetic procedure I wanted done. After speaking with Ora over the phone, I scheduled a consultation the next morning. From the moment I walked in everyone was so warm and welcoming. It felt like I was cheating and I began to feel a bit guilty. Dr. Lavi explained to me in clear and concise detail what the procedure would entail and I was like “Yayyy, sounds seamless to me”. I then said, “Why not just get a cleaning” since I’m due for one in a few weeks at my dentist. Whats the harm? Haha. Ora was amazing, and so professional. She also gained points by complimenting me on my white teeth #Enamel. After the assessment of work and the final quote, I think its safe to say that I’m in a new relationship now. I’m obsessed with you Dr. Lavi…..I think you should know this…

M. W. from Oceanside, CA (Source: Yelp)

I am RELIEVED that I found Dr. Lavi and his caring staff of professionals! I’ll tell you my story in detail….maybe it’s yours? And perhaps this will help you in making your decision about WHO will be your next dentist! Choose Dr. Lavi!– – – – – – – – –New in town and with a MAJOR chipped tooth (that seemingly came out of NO WHERE, I was FORCED to find a dentist FAST! So I scoured the ‘net for my ‘hood to find who might possibly be the best choice as my new dentist. My priorities are in education, patient satisfaction and…yes….location! JACKPOT: Dr. Lavi and his staff. Saundra, office manager, seemed to effortlessly perform scheduling magic so my emergency needs could be addressed in Dr. Lavi’s chair the VERY SAME DAY of my inquiry. She was so friendly on the phone — but also extended a professionalism that gave me a degree of confidence as a brand new patient. David was kind, obviously loves his work and quickly got my X-Rays; also assisting in the exam with Dr. Lavi. Overall: a great “vibe” at their Studio City office location, btw — easy streetfront parking, too! Dr. Lavi’s a great guy…and I appreciate how he explained WHAT he was doing AS he was doing it to me, too. It was in a calm and reassuring voice. I could tell there was a reassuring smile behind his face mask, too. Dr. Lavi quickly diagnosed my mishap: an aging filling gave out (and I’m not surprised). THAT was the “chip” I felt. We discussed my dental history, doctors and experiences, my priorities for my dental health and I impressed how I want to do everything possible to preserve my original teeth and prevent damage that will lead to implants or bridgework. My decision was the costliest one, but that’s my personal choice. I am having a custom onlay. And It will be back in 10 days for the completion!  I was surprised: Dr. Lavi could, indeed, change up his day to do a temporary fix I needed! From the get-go, I was reassured of several options for financing. This was made clear to me before we began.  (I have no dental insurance — and always pay up front on everything. I appreciate working with individual businesses like Dr. Lavi’s. My cash payment is appreciated with a reasonable discount on the support services accompanying my specialized custom dental work. Thanks, Dr. Lavi!) I am 53. I have lived in many cities over the years and have had more than a  dozen dentists — ranging from butchers and buttercups. I’ve invested a FORTUNE in my mouth and don’t want to stop now in sustaining my dental health!  Well, Dr. Lavi is obviously among those who practice modern/progressive dentistry and, along with his staff, focuses on keeping patients comfortable and striving for pain aversion as much as possible. (And he was, indeed, PAIN FREE for me!) He and his staff are friendly and have good humor. I believed they sincerely cared for my satisfaction with their care! I cannot express enough how PLEASED I am to have found Dr. Lavi and his staff. This story’s not over yet. I’ll report back when my onlay is complete!

Kamia S. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

WOW! I moved to California 3 years ago from Ohio and never looked for a dentist before now. I used to go every 6 months back in Ohio but that was because I was comfortable with my original dentist despite the fact that I just do not like dentists offices! All the noises of drills and suction just creeped me out. However, recently I woke up not being able to open my mouth and had a huge pain on my bottom right wisdom tooth. Therefore, I had to suck it up and look for a dentist and that is when I came across Dr. Lavi’s practice. My first impression when I walked in was that it was so clean! Then immediately I was greeted my Sandra at the front desk and the warming atmosphere calmed my nerves without a doubt. My overall experience at Dr. Lavi’s office was the best I have ever had and they have now become my goto dentist. Long story short, I had to have my right top and bottom wisdom tooth removed and I will be going back to remove my left ones. The staff was extremely gentle and reassuring that everything would be ok. The thing I am most worried about was pain, however when Dr. Lavi came in for the teeth removal, he was so patient with my nerves and made the experience very comfortable. He constantly asked if I was okay and before proceeding with each step he explained to me what was being done so that I knew exactly was was going on inside my mouth. Of course the drills came out but the warming experience definitely over powered the sounds and I honestly can say that I am looking forward to going back 🙂 !! P.S. when I went in for a cleaning and a post-op check up, I got the best teeth cleaning ever! The lady had me walking out of that office ready to smile at everyone!

Edward C. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

I have had a number of dentists over the years and Sam is as good as it gets. He’s done a couple of crowns and they have ALWAYS worked out fine. I have never had any trouble. Also- Sam did an implant tooth for me- complete w/ a titanium stud! The tooth is GREAT and once again I have never had an issue with it. Sooo much better than a bridge would have been. Sam’s work is top notch. I recommend him big time- and I don’t like dentists!

B. from Santa Clarita, CA (Source: Yelp)

It’s been months since I visited Dr. Lavi for some emergency work, but this must be said.  He and his office staff are top notch!  Definitely a Five Star experience. I absolutely recommend this Dentist! My wife found Dr. Lavi’s office one morning after I experienced one of those oh-oh moments during breakfast. While eating some toast, I suddenly chomped down on something hard and felt something wasn’t right. Half of my molar broke off!  How the hell does that even happen?!  Luckily, I felt very little pain but knew I had to take care of this. I didn’t have a dentist. I hadn’t been to one in years. I brush, I floss, I don’t need a dentist, right?!  Well now I did and I dreaded what kind of hell was waiting for me at some strange Dentist Office.  Let me tell you something. The visit and the experience couldn’t have been easier and the office staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I had to have a crown molded and crafted to fit over my new tooth-stump.  Dr. Lavi discussed with me what happened, clearly laid out my options and offered real advice that was both professional and personal. I even decided to have my first cleaning in years since I was there. I’m a big fan of the helpful numbing gel to just make the poking and prodding go easier.  Anything to help me forget that I’m in a Dentist’s chair. Within days, my crown had arrived and Dr. Lavi put that baby in perfectly on the first try. I couldn’t be more relieved and thankful. Dr. Lavi is the real deal and the experience was really pleasant, painless and easy

Kim Kowhugget (Source: Facebook)

I went in today for an exam and cleaning knowing I needed at least one filling. Dr Lavi informed me I needed a root canal and a few fillings and instead of multiple visits, he was able to get much of it done today. I had never had a root canal and he explained the procedure very well and let me know what was going on while he was doing it

Sam S. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

Dr Lavi is a wonderful person and dentist.  I first started seeing Dr. Lavi when I moved to Studio City a little over 2 years ago.  I needed a new dentist who was local and his reviews were very good.  I fully agree and have made the right decision. Up until now my treatments have been minor, routine cleanings and x-rays.  Suddenly I began experiencing some sensitivity in one of my teeth and emailed the office in the middle of the night.  First thing in the morning I got a response with a time to come in. Dr. Lavi examined me and gave me options.  He started with the least extreme and also least expensive.  It was a welcomed change from the other dentists I have been to who really seem to try to get the most money out of their patients regardless of whether or not that is the best course of action. I left with a wonderful feeling that all was on the right path. Dr. Lavi is personable and professional. I can easily wholeheartedly recommend this dentist

Jessica V. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Dr. Sam is an excellent dentist whose main priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and get the best dentistry he can offer. He was patient to my 101 questions, and gave me the best advice any dentist can provide. He does quality work! My teeth look great. His staff is also great, they helped me with my insurance and even held my hand while I got a shot lol If you want a Dentist that cares for you and not only sees you as a pay day, this is the place to come. They’re the best at what they do

Jaclyn K. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

I have to say my relationship with Dentistry hasn’t been the best in my life. Which resulted in me not going to the dentist for years. But then I had a long conversation with my Dad about gum disease and how difficult it was for both my Grandmother’s. “If only I did something sooner” is what they would say. So it got me thinking, I can’t ignore it forever. I called 1800-Dentist. I had a friend who worked there and said just tell them where you are and what you are looking for. Then they suggested Dr. Lavi. I showed up not knowing what to expect. But I was greeted by the best receptionist in the world. Sandra was on top of everything, always asked me if I needed anything, and was always quick with a really great suggestion. A good start accompanied with a good session. Dr. Lavi was warm, kind, friendly, and was very pleased with my teeth even though I hadn’t seen anyone in years. He had everything done from x-rays to cleaning to consulting and I was out of there in an hour! He said my teeth aren’t going anywhere. Phew! The cleaning session of course is my least favorite of any dentist visit. To my surprise, I didn’t actually think there was a lot of pain. In fact, it was the least amount of pain I had felt with any dentist. Don’t get me wrong. I was definitely bleeding because I never flossed. But trust me, I floss a lot more often now! Also, they always took a break to ask if I was doing ok. Much appreciated as I sweat underneath their tools and that light in my eye. So, if you want a warm atmosphere with a really great group of people to help you with your teeth, I would definitely recommend here. Thank you to the whole team at Dr Lavi’s office and especially to Dr. Lavi. Jax

Ariel S. from Studio City, CA (Source: Yelp)

I visited Dr. Lavi’s office this morning.  I was having pain in one of my back teeth and his office was very accommodating.  They fit me in quickly after I first called, and then when I came down with a cold and had to reschedule, they squeezed me in 5 days later.  He offered a very simple solution to my issue and I was out the door with all work completed and clean teeth in one hour!  I have been to several dentists in LA and most of them are pushy with cosmetic suggestions.  Dr. Lavi was very honest and did not push unnecessary dental work.  Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I will be back for a cleaning in 6 months!

Farazz G. from Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

My visit to dr. Lavi’s office was excellent, I was greeted by the receptionist as soon as I walked in. Had very little wait time and was seen by the doctor relatively quick. The doctor himself was very kind and seemed very knowledgeable and gentle. The entire process was very quick, and hassle free. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a dentist. On top of the good service and work their rates are super affordable

Penelope J. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Like most of the reviewers here, I have had my horrific experiences with Dentists before I was referred to Dr. Lavi. There is no doubt he is well educated in his field and keeps himself and his staff current on all issues related to dentistry.  This is not your ordinary clinic which means it’s a little more pricey and the payment options are bleak from my experience. The kind of work that I have to have is quite extensive the front bridge alone priced at $7000.00.  The rest of the work I will need comes to about 23,000 more dollars.  When I went in for my first visit to replace a crown, it turned out to be much more than that, an infection was raging on one of my molars, and the work I had done by another dentist was actually (still is) painful to chew, and just painful because it never fit right. So, my first visit was over $900.00, which I paid in cash.  the next visit was something like $700.00,  paid cash again but took a couple of weeks. And the last visit was over 1,000.00.  I don’t have dental insurance and have to correct my credit due to entanglements with a divorce. The reason I mention this is, Sondra, the wonderful receptionist in Studio City suggested I apply for credit care which I did while in the office. My bill was something I could have paid her in two weeks but she seemed uncomfortable with that.   I think she was concerned I would not pay for whatever reason and she said straight up “how are you going to pay for this?) legit question, and I said “can’t I pay you as I have been?” Her reply was basically no, something about how they cannot carry that. So while I was in the office she called Credit Care.  If you research this lending company they state they consider your fico score, employment and thats it.   That is simply not true. They go to other “sources” that I have since researched.  You should too. Credit care states that they will give the amount needed if your credit score is over 580 or something close to that. As I stood in that office and answered the most embarrassing and inappropriate questions from the credit care people, I realized that they were looking at something besides my current credit report.  Some of their questions had nothing to do with me or my life. They kept asking about my ex-husbands wife’s maiden name, and other inaccurate and hurtful  things that turn up on peoples reports for all different kinds of reasons. And the valuable lesson for me was to correct all the information out there. I have no defaults, no evictions, no issues really of any kind .  Anyway, my credit score is actually 698 which is not great but they would only give me $1,000.00  This is important to know because If you do not have the money, the office “cannot carry” the payments as I was told. Dr. Lavi did the best he could, and he did an excellent job with what he had to work with. Talking to him is like talking to a family member, or someone who really does care. The disconnect seems to be with the money thing. They deserve their money, and I kept asking “can we do this a little slower so I can pay it off before its finished?”  But I would get calls to come in next week which meant another few thousand dollars. The confusion for me was what I heard from the Dr. and then what I heard from the administrative staff.  I know Doctors need someone to handle the finance part, I know this because I have been in private practice as a psychologist for over 40 years. I can’t do what I do welll if I’m chasing money. I need someone else to do that. but at times I would hear two different things. Dr. Lavi gave me  two partials , one makes me lisp horribly and the other is fine. Dr. Lavi will adjust them when needed but as I am a psychologist and an educator and need to talk for a living, it’s a very difficult situation.  My point is this, Dr. Lavi is one of the best but unless you have insurance or can lay out the full amount, you need to consider carefully your options.  For me, I am saving as they require the full amount at the time of service. Is it worth it? Yes, I think it is. But I am only 1/4 of the way there.  Would I refer Dr. Lavi? Yes, with no hesitation in regards to his professionalism, expertise, humanity, honesty and the amazing assistant Alex. One last thing, he does find ways to save you money when he can, for example using a portion of the old bridge, and building up a tooth that seemed hopeless

Berta R. from Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

Let me just share that I am not afraid of visiting the dentist anymore . I got my wisdom teeth removed and I felt nothinggg!!! I had to ask to see the wisdom teeth because I couldn’t believe that I had them removed and felt no pain . I felt no pain during or after my wisdoms teeth removal; 3 were removed . I have done a lot of dental work with Dr. Lavi and he made me get over my fear of visiting the dentist . Customer service is great, always friendly , always welcoming , and always ensures that I’m comfortable, and not in pain during dental procedures

Ayo C. from Downtown, Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

I have avoided dentist offices for 13 years after a string of bad childhood experiences. After my first appointment Dr. Lavi told me I would need to have a procedure and he was very understanding. I was weirdly expecting him to be annoyed by the state of my dental health. My only regret of this experience is that I didn’t come sooner. He removed the infected tooth as well as a discolored tooth in the front that I’ve been embarrassed about for years. And if his positive manner isn’t enough, Ora the dental assistant / receptionist is a god send! She worked with me on my payments (I didn’t have insurance) and called to make sure I was okay Thank you so much, I can’t say enough positive things about this place. I absolutely love it. Which is not something I thought I would EVER say about a Dentist Office!

Christian G. from Downtown, Los Angeles, CA (Source: Yelp)

If you are like me, the last thing you want to do is go to see the dentist. At least that is how I used to feel until I visited Dr. Sam Lavi at the Downtown Los Angeles location. From my first visit, I knew I was in caring hands. Dr. Lavi combines excellent dental skills with compassion for his patients. His entire office staff reflects this same style and attentiveness. They are friendly, thoughtful and very professional. So, if you want the best dental care, combined with a comfortable and caring environment, you really need to visit Dr. Sam Lavi!

Dr. Lavi’s dentist office is awesome. The staff are all very nice. I’ve never had to wait whenever I’ve made an appointment. The waiting area is nice and roomy. The whole office is very clean and modern. Their technology is state of the art. Dr. Lavi is kind and gentle. He really makes you feel like you’re his patient, not just a chart he needs to get through. He takes his time with the examination and he procedures. I highly recommend this office. It’s very convenient if you’re in the downtown area. You’re in and out w/o a lot of waiting. Also, the cost is very competitive. I definitely feel like I’m getting my value for what they charge

I do not like going to the Dentist, Doctor or anything health related for that matter…Dr Lavi and his staff of amazing people have changed that.   The office is beautiful, not clinical.  The people are not staff, they are family to every patient that walks in the door.   He is ahead of the curve with state of the art equipment like lasers, which I now know truly are painless… No needles! To top it off… They are there to help you… Not sell you.  Problems I have had for decades, no other dentist followed thru on solutions for… He solved!! My gums are the healthiest they have ever been, my teeth are exquisite and I now have a proper mouth guard to help me when I grind my teeth at night. I highly recommend.  Just dont make him so busy I can’t get an appointment

I can say at 38 years old, I’ve been anything but kind to my teeth and gums. I used to chew tobacco, I brush too hard, I chew ice, I grind my teeth so bad I’ve literally broken one off. Let’s put it this way… On the check list of things a dentist doesn’t want you to do… I’ve go a lot of X’s Dr. Lavi has been able to help with all of these issues, fix everything with ease, and get me on the right track. He and his incredible staff are extremely friendly, helpful, professional and caring. All of your questions are answered and the whole process is covered in great detail, from the explanation of benefits, to the procedures themselves. You are encouraged to make informed decisions about your dental treatment with the guidance of a top-notch team and you are never pushed towards any unnecessary services or products. From the second you arrive and are greeted by Sandra, you’re made to feel as if you’re the only appointment. Obviously, that’s not the case, but you are never rushed, nor do you ever have to wait. Truly an amazing feat of scheduling and time management for such a busy dental practice. Even though I moved a while back and his office is no longer a short drive away, I make the time in my schedule. I’m less than 10 miles away, but on the 101, that’s about a 3 hour drive 😉  Nonetheless, I wouldn’t even consider going to a different dentist and neither should you. I absolutely recommend Dr. Lavi to everyone

You have no idea the painful, sleepless hell I’ve been through. Finding this dentist was like a surprise day off and it’s a perfect beach day. If you read my previous review of another office, you’ll get my back story. In short, I had a root canal elsewhere, the root canal went well but the crown made my gums really sore, but I thought it was my tooth rotting out and trying to kill me. Last night I spent the night awake, whimpering and after 1600mg of ibuprofen, still considered ripping the tooth out myself. I called as soon as it opened and they said that they didn’t have an appointment until tomorrow for their downtown location, but if I could get to Studio City they would squeeze me in because she “really want to help me.” I was very happy to hear that. I had to take the bus so I was a little late, which I know is super annoying with a busy practice. Even so, I barely waited at all and everyone was still very eager to help me. Sandra, the woman at the front desk is by far the nicest person I’ve met in a long time. She looked genuinely upset when I told her I lost sleep over the pain and when I left she told me to stay strong. She also set up an appointment for a cleaning for me in 6 months, which is awesome because I’m not one to go out of my way to make an appointment, but now that I have it I’ll go. The other woman at the desk was also very nice and checked in on me while I was waiting for the dentist. The dental assistant, David I believe, offered me water and asked if I needed anything. Throughout the check up he kept checking to make sure I was ok and warned me to breathe through my nose because there will be a lot of water. Also a really nice person. When I saw Dr. Lavi, I was honestly just dreading the moment he had to touch my tooth. I even took a deep breath and closed my eyes. After he started working I was just like, oh ok. When he heard I had pain, instead of stabbing the affected area with different objects and temperatures, he lightly tapped it and was very gentle with the floss. I went from trying to prepare for inevitable torturous pain to a giant feeling of relief. He filed down my crown, explained the other issues I was having and assured me that I could come back with any problems. When I left, Sandra gave me Dr. Lavi’s cell phone number for emergencies. Now that is someone who cares. Usually when my tooth acts up, it’s after hours and I feel helpless. Now I don’t have to feel that way and I know I can talk to a group of genuine people that have my best interest in mind. Also, Dr. Lavi went to school in New Jersey, which is where I’m from, so 10 points for that. Second, his name is Sam, so add another 10. Another step toward settling down in LA, I’ve found my dentist
