I usually do not write reviews online, but in this case, I felt the need to share my experience. I always hated going to the dentist, but Dr. Emily and her team are EXCELLENT!!! With my past dentist, I felt like the most expensive dental treatments were what was always recommended by the doctor and some of them did not even make sense to me. Here, at e Dental Center, they explained my treatment plan to me (every detail) and gave me options and recommendations. I did not feel like I was dealing with a loan shark. They told me to take my time to think it through and come back whenever I make up my mind. Saw the doctor after a week and all I can say is that I was in good hands. I was extremely nervous at first, when I was given a shot but Dr. Emily was very gentle and made me as comfortable as possible. She always asked me if I was in pain or if I felt any discomfort through out my treatment. I HIGHLY recommend this dental place and I look forward to my next appointment ( in 6 months) =)

As first time patients at e-Dental,my wife and I had our initial check up and treatment with Dr.Emily.We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional level of service,courtesy and professionalism demonstrated by Dr.Emily Utagawa and her entire staff.They all seemed to be genuinely concerned about our dental health and well being.Dr.Emily employs a hands on personal and compassionate approach with her patients.She was very thoughtful and considerate in explaining our unique situations and what the treatment plan she recommended.At any time did we ever feel pressured to proceed with anything we were uncertain or uncomfortable with.Without hesitation,I will recommend e-Dental & Dr.Emily Utagawa to our family, friends and anyone else in need of a wonderful dentist.

Dr. Emily is awesome, I just went in for my first appointment since I just moved to LA and I would highly recommend her! First of all, their office is so nice, very updated, new building, plus there’s free parking! Her helpers/hygienists are so friendly and her financial lady went through EVERYTHING with me in detail about what Dr. Emily recommends. This place is so detailed and really cares about your teeth.

Very clean, friendly staff, informative with no pressure. Quick effective, never been to a dentist like this before. Even major work I didn’t feel crazy pain theyk exactly how much pain relevier is need with out making you to groggy. Thanks E-Dental Center team!

I woke up in the morning and ate breakfast when my tooth cracked I called E Dental Center and they spared a moment to help me after x-rays they squeezed me and the next day for an emergency root canal and made it financially affordable I’m not sure every case is like mine but no other dentist could see me especially during the holiday season and e Dental Center made it so I could get treatment antibiotics and took my toothache away I am grateful I hope your experience goes as well as mine.

I was very picky with who I wanted as a dentist. I had only bad experiences as a child going to the dentists. Not because of all the shots and the dental work, but because of the dentists ridiculing me as a child saying I wasn’t a bad child who didn’t know how to properly clean my teeth. I since then never went to the dentist, but I knew I needed it badly. It was a very welcoming and great experience with me going here. She went over everything from educating me on what was going on with my teeth to the costs and dental insurance. I am so glad I went here. She was really sweet, understanding, and encouraging. I thought I was gonna get some okay cleaning but I have never seen my teeth this cleaned and this white before. She puts teeth whitening to shame with her deep cleaning skills. I saw my teeth in the mirror as soon as I got in the car. I wanted to cry because of how happy I was seeing how it really turned out. I really gained my confidence back. I already book my next 2 appointments with her and I am looking forward to the dentist’s visits.

Hands down the friendliest most real AND professional dental staff I’ve EVER encountered! They are thorough and CARE about you. I would drive an hour just to keep them as my dentist office! If you’re nervous or apprehensive about the dentist, they will take away all anxiety. Dr. Emily is so knowledgeable and she truly cares.

This place is 3 blocks away from my apartment (which is awesome). Dr. Emily is the best, she explains everything and I had a tooth extracted, and it’s less painful compared to my previous tooth extraction from other Dentist. There’s staff are also helpful and nice. Kudos to Erika, Joanna and Yumi. They also explained very well the coverage of your insurance and plot out the plans on your dental procedures and give you an idea how much each procedure are. Definitely recommending this place!

I have been to many dentists and I have never found one that was as outstanding as Dr. Utagawa and Erika and the whole staff at E-Dental Center. I get very anxious at the dentist, to the point where I normally avoid going unless I really have to. But since I started going to E Dental Center, I actually show up for all my appointments. 🙂 They do an excellent job at making me feel at ease. The pain and discomfort is much less than I have experienced elsewhere, and the work I have gotten done there is impeccable. They are organized, super-friendly, good communicators, and very helpful with insurance issues. I am so sad to be leaving L.A. and losing such a great dentist! I highly recommend them.

I had a very positive experience here both with my first appointment and with getting a night guard.  Dr. Utagawa is thorough and patient, explaining everything to me very well, showing me on the monitor via x-ray and camera the different places in my mouth that are causing me troubles, and taking care to give me pain and discomfort-free care.  I know I am in good hands here.

Disclaimer- I am the WORST dental patient you can ever imagine. Temperature sensitivity, an aversion to Novocaine and accompanied with sensitive nerves, dental anxiety, and a busy work schedule sum me up pretty well.  I am a Dentist nightmare. However, that might add even more substance to this statement: Dr. Emily and her staff are the kindest, most intelligent, accommodating and caring staff I have ever had the pleasure of gracing my pearly whites too after a long and loving relationship for a year.
When I met the staff for my appointment I knew I was with a different level of dentistry. They were cheerful, pleasant, and took time to get to know me. They showed me around the office. The calm colors, clean lines and modern decorations made the trips to the office even better. I was really impressed with my consultation though. The technology they use is top of the line. They took pictures and measurements of my teeth, pulled up x-Rays in from of me on my own screen to explain things, and answered any and all questions I had. After I met with Dr Emily. I was taken to the payment office. No one loves to pay, but I loved how they had matched up the cost with what my insurance would cover. I knew down to the penny how much each treatment plan would cost for me and my out of pocket expense and she even worked out a cost plan yes that is right a cost plan that I could afford to have the treatments i so desperately needed. Each and every visit, the care and comfort from Dr. Emily and her staff never changed. I always felt welcomed and put at ease during my visits. If you are in need of a great caring Dentist and a lovable staff then this is the place to go.  There not in it for the money but for the results that you get.  See you see guys!!!!!
