During my vacation in Idaho last month, my front tooth veneer chipped and had to find a place to fix it. The receptionist on the phone was very kind and squeezed me in. The staff is very friendly and the office is spacious and beautiful. The doctor Baid is very helpful and did a thorough job. The price was very reasonable and I was so happy to be able to smile again.

There seems like there is a lot going on in the photo below of my son getting cavities treated, but what you don’t see is tears. He was in that chair for 90 plus minutes and was happy to come in the following week when we had to finish the other side of his mouth. BTW – a note to all parents: it is never to early to start flossing as well as brushing. My wife and I have been using Dr. Baird’s and his team’s services for 5 years and I am sure we will be seeing him for many years to come, but hopefully we will mostly only see his hygienists! I would recommend Dr. Baird for any age individual in your family.

Great dentist!!! I went in (for the first time) to have a wisdom tooth filled and it turned out it needed to be pulled. (I saw the tooth after it was pulled) Anyway it came out so easily I was charged for a simple extraction instead of a difficult one. The dentist is so nice and he talks with you before you go in for whatever you are having done. Now this may be only on the first visit, but I have never had that happen before. I highly recommend this dentist!!!

Don’t go to Eagle River Smiles. I had 3 cavities filled there and have been in so much pain since, just miserable. They said there wasn’t anything they could do and referred me out. My cavity filling fell out!! Never in 39 years have I had a cavity filling fall out. I’m aghast! Just horrible.

Being a former dental assistant my mom has the foundation to understand treatment plans and when she had visited several other dental offices they wanted to provide a plan that was unnecessary which drove up the treatment costs. Dr. Baird and his team are great. I chipped a molar while visiting the Boise area and needed a crown last minute. His team fit me in within a couple days, scheduled a same day crown, walked me through pricing, and helped me make an informed decision on my care before I ever walked through the front door. When I showed up for my appointment they gave me a tour of the space, put me in a private room to fill out the paperwork, and again walked me through the pricing so there were no surprises. I don’t have dental insurance so that latter mattered. I’ve had dental insurance; even with it, transparency in pricing matters. They have an house program that I signed up for because there was a cost benefit to me. Another aspect I appreciate is the level of care. Dr. Baird addressed all of my questions and laid out a plan of care I feel confident with. I had a tooth another dentist told me needed a root canal pre shutdown. The appointment for it got cancelled during lockdown. When I mentioned it to Dr. Baird, he told me it did not need a root canal. He said if it was his tooth, he wouldn’t touch it. It was a straight forward, simple statement that gave me all the information I needed. I visit Boise enough that I plan on Dr. Baird(and his team) being my full time dentist moving forward. I liked him so much, my sister is planning on seeing him when she’s in town next.

These people are great. My work ended up being more complex, and at 5 pm when I was told it would take longer than expected, I thought they would tell me to come back the next day. Dr. Baird and one of his assistants stayed late – well after business hours – to make sure I was taken care of. The staff was friendly from the moment I walked in the door. I was a first-time patient and the dentist went out of his way to meet with me before I even went in to get my teeth clean. The hygenist was nice and walked me through everything and showed me everything. I had a few cavities and they were able to get me right in that day… which is unusual because they are always busy. They made it a comfortable experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Even those with strong nerves like me when it comes to the dentist. Amazing! I know that is not what you would expect when talking about a dental visit, but it is true! Dr. Baird and his staff are amazing at their jobs! Not only are they friendly, personable, and professional but they are also kind and understanding. When a crown I had (done by my former dentist) popped off on a Saturday night, and I was freaked out and scared, Dr. Baird made arrangements for me to come to the office when the office wasn’t even OPEN, to fix the issue. Not only that but he truly wants what is best for you. He spent a lot of time making something that was “okay” be better than okay. He wanted me to be completely comfortable and happy with my treatment. I started going to see Dr. Baird when my parents told me how great he was. My family and I have now been going there for 10 years, even after we moved to Caldwell, we drive all the way out just because of how amazing Eagle River Smiles is! FOUR STARS! I came here with my daughter today because we were not sure what to do with her stubborn baby tooth while a permanent tooth managed to grow on top of the baby tooth. She was complaining of some discomfort few days ago but due to her previous dental experiences, she might have endured the tooth ache longer than I could’ve realized. She’s really scared of dentists and she was very nervous coming here today that I made a deal with her that she could play her iPad music (with her cute pink headphones on) if she agrees to see the dentist. Location was easy to find and I was really impressed how clean the place was when we visited today. Staff members were all polite, helpful and respectful. I don’t know anything about dental equipment but everything looked nice, modern, and clean. There is also a refreshment area which I thought was pretty cool (I made a nice cup of coffee during the short wait). I think the price was very reasonable considering they did clean my daughter’s teeth, and Dr. Baird was able to persuade my nervous daughter to pull that stubborn baby tooth. What a relief! I knew my daughter will most likely just tolerate/ignore the discomfort because she’s very scared of dental work but Dr. Baird was genuine and thoughtful that my daughter agreed to have the tooth pulled today. I am quite surprised that there has been no other previous review from this clinic so after our visit today, I decided to write this one review because I think everybody at the clinic truly rocked, and I appreciate how warmly they treated my daughter and I. We also scheduled a follow-up visit for her in 6 months, so I do plan to go back there and would highly recommend this place especially among parents who have little ones scared of going to the dentist.

I’ve known and liked Andrew Baird for many years. He’s very honest and kind. I recently decided to try out his dental skills :). I prefer to work with one family dentist, rather than use a separate pediatric dentist for my 5 kids. It helps keep my life simpler, so I took my whole family to him. I was very impressed with how he and his staff dealt with all ages. In the past the x-rays have been the most traumatic experience in the dental chair for my kids, often including tears, because the bite wings were always too big and sharp. Dr. Baird has less invasive technology that captures the needed images with no pain. It was a breeze even with my 4 yr old. I personally had to have some fillings replaced and appreciated how gentle Dr. Baird was and how much he cared that I was comfortable. He also offered an in-house family insurance plan that significantly cut our families dental costs, since we don’t have dental insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Baird to anyone of all ages!
