Hello, my name is Calvin and this is my story. I first came into this office for treatment after my daughter Gabrielle received her treatment for her teeth. She wore braces and her finished results were outstanding. I always knew I needed and wanted to fix my smile. I grew up as a teen hiding my smile and felt like when the timing was right, I would take advantage of the opportunity. From start to finish every staff member here along with the doctors treated me with a supreme level of kindness and professionalism. It was almost like I became part of their family. We would share stories, laugh and that is what I enjoyed the most about every visit during my treatment process. When I first got my braces I was very insecure about my teeth and even the way that the braces looked, but all the staff was very encouraging and patient. Every appointment they were very kind and patient and personal. My teeth were pushed back and crowded, but they were quick to correct this and always asked how I felt, reassuring me that I was the most important person in that room. I had been missing this tooth since middle school because of a procedure I had done to remove it, as it was a baby tooth that refused to come out. Dr. Frazier sent me to your office for pain associated with my bite. Dr. Andersen went over a multitude of treatment options and was supportive of my choice. Price and payment was a clear and simple process. When Dr. Andersen retired, I was concerned about the continuity of my treatment, but Dr. Shivar has been amazing! I requested several refinements and have been a patient for over three years, and the whole practice has been a pleasure to work with! Your Orthodontic Story: Overall our experience was fantastic! From day one to today, “de-band” day. First, I will say that your front desk staff has always been friendly, patient and courteous. Second, the explanations and descriptions on actual work were accurate and easy to understand. Appointment lengths were very short and to the point, never really any long wait times to get in to see the orthodontist. Most important, was the quality of the work and process. They did exactly what they said , and in our case, shorter than expected! We rarely had the brackets falling off or a pokey wire issue. Sure there were some days of pain, nothing a few Advil didn’t fix. I would say to this point were very happy and glad we chose EVO for Marina’s orthodontic care. Her teeth are beautiful. They exceeded my expectations here. I lost my retainer while traveling. I wanted to get a new one quick as my teeth move a lot when I don’t have one. On a Friday hardly any of the orthodontist are open and if they are you have to schedule an appointment for a week out. This place was able to get me in the same day I called and make and give me the retainers the same day all for cheaper then what any of orthodontist said.

Victorya needed help with her teeth and we were so lucky to find Dr. Shivar and Eastern Virginia Orthodontics. Her journey has been a long one but totally worth it. She now has a beautiful smile with beautiful straight teeth. The staff is exceptional and I would highly recommend them! Victorya is my granddaughter and I could not be more proud of her for facing this challenge with determination and a positive attitude. Am also proud of how she took care of her teeth during this time. Most challenging thing for me was when she had to have four teeth pulled at the same time. Biggest mistake on my part was buying her a milkshake right after that appointment and not being prepared with paper towels for all the drooling. Funny side note is that I used to get phone calls for this practice long before we came here. My phone number is one digit off from theirs. Who knew that our paths would cross like this. As ALWAYS we love the staff! Ms. Kitty worked very hard to reschedule two last minute appointments due to end of the year testing conflicts. We ended up going to the Virginia Beach office instead of our usual Greenbrier office. VB office was very nice with a beach vibe. I will say I am spoiled and prefer the Greenbrier office. I love their giant story book theme and the Keurig! Dr. Peluso has the most wonderful bedside manner. He makes the kids feel completely comfortable and he takes the time to chat with the parents as well. The best part is my daughter has only had braces for 6 months and her teeth already look perfect.
