We moved to DC 5 years ago, and have been through a number of pretty mediocre (or downright bad) dental providers ever since. We finally landed on a location/provider we could walk to, and just stayed there because it was close and I was tired of looking. We were due for our dental cleanings in March, just as everything shut down for Covid. Our dental provider kept rescheduling and rescheduling, until finally everything was just cancelled outright. When I started having some issues in December, I was able to get in to see them, but I wasn’t impressed with the care I got, so I started shopping around for a new dentist again. My neighbor recommended Elite Dental, and I tried them out because they were pretty close by (5 minute drive). I immediately felt better cared for than at any point in the last 5 years. I had a lot of work to be done and they have been gently guiding me through it without judgement and with extraordinary patience. I have been so impressed that I cancelled my kids’ cleaning appointments at the old walkable provider and scheduled them with Elite. My 6yo came out of her appointment with a big smile, a newly discovered molar, and a sense of motivation to take very good care of her teeth. My 9yo had a slightly less positive experience, primarily because he had a lot of tartar buildup and some apprehension about the work he needed – 2 sealants had to be replaced and one small cavity needed filling. Luckily, they were able to schedule us for the next day, so he didn’t have a lot of time to stew about it. Unfortunately, a day was plenty of time to get himself worked up. My son has a debilitating fear of pain, and when he gets worked up it’s near impossible to get him to see reason. But Dr. Walker was amazingly patient, even when we overstayed our appointment time trying to persuade my son to open his mouth so they could take care of his teeth. In the end, we somehow convinced him, and Dr. Walker came back in between his other patients to get the job done. Afterward, my son kept talking about how much it didn’t hurt, and he didn’t even realize Dr. Walker had put a filling in the 3rd tooth! I just can’t say enough about how amazing Dr. Walker was. Dr. Smith (whom I’ve primarily been seeing) is also great, as are the hygienists and technicians and Diego and Kia at the front desk. I was also impressed with Dr. McCall when I saw her. I’m so happy to have finally landed here, though I look forward to seeing much less of them in future, once we get through my current issues.

I love Dr. Smith and his staff. The hygienist are super knowledgeable and friendly. It was breath of fresh air to have a practice that was competent and young and friendly vs. my old dentist who I left after 2 root canals of which caught me off guard cause I never knew why I was having trouble but I knew something was wrong. My first visit to Elite Dental, Dr. Smith assessed me and in 2 minutes said “Oh you need a mouth guard” which if my old dentist of 10 years had figured that out I may not have needed to root canals! I had an excellent experience at Elite Dental. After more than a year dealing with dental issues and having bad experiences at other dental practices, I’m so happy I found this dentist! Dr. Smith was very communicative and amiable, and made my treatment plan clear and logical. He offered real solutions to dental issues I’ve been having that other dentists didn’t think could be repaired or have simply dismissed. Both he and Yolanda, who I am assuming is a dental assistant, were really friendly and respectful of my needs. They had plenty of COVID-19 safety measures in place and I felt very comfortable in their office. Their front desk was also very friendly, efficient, and helpful. I couldn’t recommend them more.

I first came to Elite Dental when I had a tooth that needed to be desperately removed. They made the effort to fit me into the schedule 30 minutes after I called them and had me off an on my way nearly an hour later. I’ve been a happy customer ever since. Their scheduling is flexible, the staff is helpful, courteous and professional. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait longer than five minutes after I checked in to start my session. I’ve had a lifelong phobia about going to the dentist and while the Elite Dental team hasn’t cured me of this, they have definitely helped ease the pain once I’m there.

I was referred here by 2 coworkers and I must say I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time so I was fearful to have someone take a look. However, Dr. Smith and the rest of the staff made me feel comfortable and the environment was clean and neat including the bathrooms. Music is usually playing and it’s not loud but up enough to hear to feel relaxed. I have been 3 times for cleaning, filling, and getting wisdom tooth pulled. No issues. The staff gives you ahead up on pricing in case your insurance doesn’t cover before procedures are done so you’re not taken advantage of or end up paying out of pocket a grip of money. Appointment reminders via email, text, and call which is appreciated. Pre and post-op instructions provided via print out and email. I recommend everyone to try them for your dental needs.

Can’t ask for better service–great front desk staff, almost no wait time, and Dr. Smith is a fantastic dentist–I’m a baby and he made sure I had absolutely no pain or discomfort. They also have modern equipment like digital x-rays (that exposure you to way less radiation than old school ones). I also really like that he works seamlessly with his hygienists. Best dentistry I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere is more like a chic cafe than a dentists office, and the entire staff is very friendly! The hygienist was very gentle, and explained everything and asked if everything was alright with me before she did it . She even asked me if I was comfortable having the chair laid back! Before she began the cleaning, she told me to raise my left hand if I needed to her to stop, and continued to check in with me throughout the entire experience to make sure I was comfortable. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a dentist in my life! Everyone I interacted with was extremely kind and non-judgmental, even when I told them about my terrible flossing habits! I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for those with a history of trauma/ptsd or special needs of any kind.

My expectations were low, since my prior dentist was so great, but the team at Elite really blew me away. Everyone was extremely friendly and experienced and I loved the fresh, modern office. Elite Dental is a well-staffed and well-run office. The dentists are friendly. You can tell they love what they do. The hygienist was kind and considerate. I am skittish in the chair, and she was thoughtful and courteous. You can tell they look for a specific type of employee, with a calm demeanor. I actually enjoy going to the dentist! Everything about the experience is professional and pleasant. The office itself is bright and clean with friendly and professional front desk staff. Each person I speak to, from checking in to checking out, is warm, patient, and approachable. The hygienists are top notch. I called Siri and asked for the newest dentist. Elite Dental was at the top of her recommendations. I called the place of business and spoke with Ellie. I gave her a quick run down about my situation concerning my Mother. She invited me today and offered a discount before I asked for one lol and included information about Senior Citizens discounts. I called an Uber and my Mother and I arrived in 11 minutes. The place was beautiful and the energy was amazing and what was more compelling, on this particular day, Seniors was in the house, and they represented people from all walks of life just like the employees.
