I recently got my braces off in March of 2013. I started the process with Dr. E two and a half years ago and I must say, I couldn’t be happier with the results. I am 27 years old and this was my second time having braces. The orthodontist I had as a child really screwed up and there was nothing I could do but get them again. After meeting with Dr. E and his team, we came up with an aggressive plan to get all of the issues fixed as soon as possible. To elaborate slightly, I had to have teeth removed, had severe crowding, needed my palate expanded, and my back molars pushed forward. That’s A LOT of work that needs to be done, but with Dr. E, he did all of it flawlessly and faster than any other orthodontist estimated. As long as you listen to what Dr. E tells you to do (like wear the rubber bands as often as he says), everything will come together perfectly and on time. The entire team was beyond accommodating with my schedule and made sure to explain every step of the process along the way. Dr. E is a perfectionist and will do whatever he can to make your smile as perfect as possible. The entire staff is an absolute joy and they all made my 2+ year long experience well worth it. My teeth are perfect now and I am thrilled with the results.

Dr. Ellenikiotis completed orthodontics on both of my daughters.  They came out beautifully and both truly loved the warm confidence and certainty he showed them on each and every encounter.  Some dental work was required for their particular case.  The dentist and oral surgeon that he recommended and talked directly to were wonderful.  Dr. E found that one of the “caps” were not as perfect as Dr.E thought they should be, so he called the dentist directly and he re capped the tooth, free of charge and made it absolutely perfect.  I had braces as a child myself.  Dr.E is a true artist and professional.  He’ll stay with you until it is perfect, exceeding my expectations.  I and my daughters are delighted with his work and professionalism.

I have been in treatment with Dr. Ellenikiotis for the past 4 years. I underwent a treatment that included spacers, expanders, extraction and altogether too many rubber bands. The end result when I was (finally) finished was absolutely beautiful. Dr. E was incredibly meticulous when it came to fixing my teeth and it definitely paid off well. Both the Saratoga and Willow Glen offices were very accommodating in setting up my appointments (I moved to the LA area but come up to the Bay Area regularly) and I was always able to come in for any emergency either the day I called in or early the next morning. The girls that work the front desk are extremely welcoming and pleasant, as well as all of the assistants that work in the offices. They all greet me like an old friend each time I come in for a checkup on my retainers and during my time in treatment they all worked extremely efficiently and made even the most painful of treatment days as easy as possible. I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the results of my treatment, I recommend this office highly.

I have 3 kids who are patients of Dr. E and I honestly think the reviews below have been overly harsh. What I have experienced is that Dr. E is very passionate about what he does. I can imagine that if you don’t take his instructions seriously, or are lazy about taking responsibility for your side of treatment, he would get very extremely frustrated. Having said that, he has always taken the time to answer my questions regarding my kids bites and what is needed to be done to prevent TMJ (their father suffers from this). I got referalls from three knowledgeable health practioners before seeing Dr. and they all said he is the top in his field. Wendy, Dr E’s billing guru is amazing – so nice because backoffice is so often a pain in the neck. I”ve also found his front desk to be extremely helpful and patient when trying to coordinate 3 kids schedules.

Dr. E was professional, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job on my terrible teeth.  I was embarrassed as a 30 something year old with my teeth and the crowding.  He widened my mouth, straightened my teeth, and fixed my bite just as he said he would do before I began treatment.  He is a class act and the best in his field.  He came highly recommended to me and I can honestly highly recommend him to others.  He work is impeccable.

My God, I never expected this. The other two reviews. Geez. So, Dr. Turoff referred me to Dr. E and a few other specialty doctors to get my teeth looking and working better. Dr. E sticks out in my mind. It has been a little over a year since I saw him last but he changed my life. He is a cool guy and extremely knowledgeable. He will tell you everything you need to know and then some, but so what. I wish I could post my before and after pictures. Before I had jagged teeth, crooked, and crowded.  In the first meeting with Dr. E he just told me I would not believe the difference and he was right. Lots of kids went to him from Saratoga High and so it all worked out. He was funny because he was so serious and took things so seriously, but he also always asked about my school and my interest in writing. In the end, teeth look great and I met somebody who I really admire, a fantastic doctor. Dr. Turoff and Dr. E make a killer team. He is the best!

We have two daughters both of whom Dr. Ellenikiotis performed orthodontia on. They are 15 and 16, the process has taken approximately two years, plus or minus, and the results are fabulous. Dr. Ellenikiotis referred both of our daughters to a local dentist to have two of their teeth “bonded” so that they would be perfectly even. We did the bonding, he asked that we bring the girls back to evaluate, he felt that the bonding was not perfect, so he called the dentist and asked him to do it over, and more precisely. They now are thrilled as are we. The work he did was great. We would recommend Dr. Ellenikiotis without reservation, his work was flawless.

Wow wow. I don’t even know where to begin. So I’ve been coming here for about 1.5 years or so from my very first appointment/consultation to now. I had an incident happen to me at the end of March. Dr Yanni and the whole team were beyond accommodating. I have PTSD from the incident especially my first visit after. They made my appointment so pleasant and accommodating where I would feel safe and comfortable. My heart is just beaming with love and appreciation. Not only has Dr E instilled excellency in Dr Yanni but the whole team. I would trust them with my own kids, if I had them. I personally work in general dentistry so I understand teeth. I trust them with every part of my smile and I would HIGHLY recommend them until the end of time. Thank you Dr. Yanni, Dr E, Alejandro, Paul, Megan, Lupita, Miriam and the rest of the crew!!!! You’ve helped me turn this tragic situation I was in and find the good in myself. Thank you all.

First, to address the 600lb gorilla in the room…yes, the appointments, particularly toward the end of the day, run late. Think..Southwest Airlines…the flights are almost always late toward the end of the day due to short turns and overly optimistic daily flight schedules. Yes, this can be very frustrating in today’s busy world with today’s overly scheduled customers. How can one schedule their tennis lesson, or Cumin and music lessons for your child around a sometimes unpredictable 2+ hour ortho appointment? What you do get with Dr E…a perfectionist. Like fine art or fine food, sometimes it just takes longer to do it right. Dr E could significantly open up his schedule by doing what some other Ortho’s might be tempted to do…calling it “good enough”, and removing your braces. Maybe “good enough” actually is. This is where the perfectionism in Dr E’s service conflicts with keeping the very busiest among us happy. Let’s not even discuss whether the patient wore the rubber bands or appliances as often as they should have between appointments. My wife used Dr. E twenty years ago with tremendous results, my son recently used Dr. E with wonderful results, and my daughter is currently on Round 2 with braces, due to an optimum treatment schedule based on growing teeth and jawline. She is very close to finishing, yet yesterday’s 2+hour appointment consisted of completely removing the braces and reinstalling them in better locations on the teeth to optimize the end result. Is that necessary? Would another Orthodontist have gone through that hassle this late in the game, just to achieve a more perfect result? I don’t know for sure, but many years ago my Ortho took the convenient, and better for his schedule, route. I needed braces the day mine were removed, and 35 years later I could still greatly benefit from having braces. I wouldn’t go anywhere else but to Dr E. I believe Dr E’s outcomes are second to none, and he certainly isn’t willing to compromise the final product of his patients for his convenience, or for yours. The complaints on yelp are not about the results, they are about the schedules. If you are not a patient person, Dr E’s service may not be for you, and that’s ok. You just need to decide whether his perfectionism is worth the extra time you will probably spend receiving it.
