Elliot Bay Dental is truly one of a kind. From the cookies they give you at your initial appointment to welcome you to the family, to the attention and care of the dental hygienists and assistants, I’ve never gone to a dental office that has treated me with as much care as Elliot Bay. Not to mention the short wait times, beautiful facilities and coffee station… I chose Elliott Bay because it is right next door to my orthodontist L&V but I can’t help but feel like I struck gold in finding them. Definitely an office I recommend!

Hands down the most incredibly amazing dentist visit I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Elliott Bay Dental to anyone in the Seattle area! This was more like a spa visit than a dentist appointment. The lobby is stocked with a fridge full of high-quality concessions, a Keurig machine, and even a cookie jar! Throughout the building wafts the smell of homemade chocolate chip cookies (of which all first time patrons receive a batch). Laura, the technician, took my x-rays and made me feel very at home. Besides the regular stuff, this office has all kinds of cool gadgets like a 360 degree x-ray scanner and DSLR camera to capture high fidelity images of your teeth. I should also mention that when you sit in the chair, they give you the most comfortable neck pillow to lay on and even a blanket if you want! Doctor Misty was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She took quite some time to explain things about my own mouth that I never knew about. She even talked me through a proposed plan of procedures (with a reasonably priced payment plan). Julia, the hygienist, was also very kind and friendly. She has a very gentle touch and I learned some teeth-cleaning tricks from her, as well.

Had my teeth whitened today and couldn’t be happier with the results. Came in towards the end of the day and I was promptly greeted by Ava who was really friendly. My appointment started right on time and everything went really smoothly. Delina and Laura made sure I was comfortable getting prepped for the whitening and they were so professional throughout. Got everything finished on time with no issues. Would definitely recommend to others!

I really don’t like going to the dentist, but, somehow i love coming here. The interior is gorgeous. Easy parking lot. Front desk staff is super friendly and accommodating. The dentist is so kind and does such a good job explaining everything. The work they do is also very fast and efficient. Early hours are convenient for a 9-5’er. They gave me yummy cookies on my first visit. I could keep listing off nice things about this place. The best!

I’ve been going to Elliot Bay Dental since I moved to Seattle, over 2 yrs now. The office is very clean, and I felt welcomed every time Im here. Delina’s extremely gentle when cleaning my teeth, and the orthodontist Dr. Kim referred near UW to get my wisdom teeth out couldn’t be better! I felt minimal pain during recovery. I’d recommend it to everyone.

The best dentist office OF ALL TIME. Trust me. I’m 33, I love sugar. I’ve had teeth pulled, cavities filled, braces, mouth guards, work done up the wazoo all over Seattle. And this office is THE DOPEST. Exhibit A — they gave me a bag of cookies after my first visit. COOKIES. YES! Exhibit B — they have the best selection of magazines of any office on Earth. Mags for dudes, mags for chicks. The only thing that would make it better is if they had Highlights from back in the day. Member those?! Exhibit C — everything is pristine, like overly pristine. Chairs, carpet, bathrooms, light fixtures, snack fridge, everything. CLEAN Exhibit D — the lady behind the desk used to collect comic books. ‘Nuff said. Exhibit E — The staff is HELLA nice. This office has it goin’ on. As a sugar addict whose seen the lay of the land, trust me.

Number 1 – they give you free cookies! Number 2 – Dr Kim and Dr Misty are awesome! I love going here and have had quite a bit done unfortunately. The office staff are super sweet and very welcoming. They treat you family here and always take time out with me to walk through procedures, plans, uncertainties, etc. Going to the dentist isn’t that Bad after all…as long as you go to the right one! Go here, get sparkly, be happy and don’t forget about those bomb cookies 🙂

Thank you so much for treating my parents with the utmost level of care and respect. Dr. Kim explained every aspect of their treatments in a way they were able to best understand and my parents felt at ease and comfortable through the whole process. He gave them realistic expectations and answered all their questions throughout every step of their treatment. We also felt that the front office staff was warm and welcoming both on the phone and in person. We love the team at Elliot Bay Dental and would highly recommend them to anyone!

★★★★★

Nice office is new, modern and welcoming. Staff is very polite, respectful and helpful throughout the whole process. Every step is explained by the assistant and dentist. I love that all the specialists are there. Estimate of cost and my out of pocket expense were fully explained at the end of my visit. All of my adult dental needs in one place.

I HATE going to the dentist, I came here from putting off a toothache for over a month. Definitely learned my lesson with holding off on that. From the beginning, every single staff member was attentive and kind. They made me feel at ease, and being afraid of going sounds so silly now. They walked me through the steps, made sure to ask every 5 minutes with my root canal if I was ok and was extremely professional. I will be recommending this place to anyone looking for a great dental office.

Gave Elliot Bay Dental a chance after strong recommendations from several friends. After the initial check up and interacting with the doctors and staff, I knew I was going to switch my care over. I went in again today for a cleaning and I felt so comfortable from beginning to end! I love the facility (so clean!) and the staff (so friendly!) I have already recommended this place to my friends and family. I love this place!

Well, I’ve found my new dentist here in Seattle! I called on Tuesday with severe toothache pain, and they squeezed me on Wednesday (and again for a root canal evaluation and appointment on Friday). Dr. Kim and his staff did a very thorough evaluation of the health of my teeth and the care it currently and will need down the road. I have never had a formal evaluation of my teeth, the entire process was very professional and I’m excited to continue care with Dr. Kim and his staff.

I never write reviews but had to in this case.  Spent the last several months working with Dr. Kim on an implant replacement that required lots of extra homework on his part, and above-and-beyond patience with me to get every aspect of it exactly right and how I wanted it.  The entire staff is beyond helpful and friendly.  Just a really impressive office and group of people here.

I absolutely love Elliott Bay Dental. They are so friendly and warm as soon as you walk in the door. I have only recently (within a year) started coming here. I was with the same dentist for most of my life. After moving to Seattle I was in dire need of someone new and was recommended EBD by a co-worker. I am so happy she told me about this place because I will continue to come here for as long as I am in the area. The office is clean, well decorated, and there is a refreshment center in the lobby stocked full of beverages and coffee for you to enjoy while you wait. I believe they take great pride in making their clients feel comfortable in a place where most people would rather not be (let’s be honest…who actually likes going to the dentist?) and they make you feel at ease throughout the entire process. I highly recommend EBD to anyone in the greater Seattle area.

I recently became a new patient. I really enjoyed my visit. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They do a great job of working with you to fit your schedule, other needs, and concerns. I love the location and the set up. I have always gotten right in with no extra wait. The staff and Dr. Kim make you feel like they truly care about you as a person and the work they are doing. I definitely will be recommending friends and coworkers to come and check them out.

I had to change from my regular dentist (after many years) to Elliott Bay as my new insurance didn’t cover him. Well, with misgivings I went for a couple of cleanings. I didn’t want to like them but they were fabulous. So nice, customer service is great, funny (good humored). Explain everything before it happens. Today, I had to have a crown double dose of anesthesia as first dose wasn’t good enough. No question of even trying with 1st dose based on my review of not numb enough. No pain involved. Not saying I loved it but I got through it. These guys are great and progressive with technique. Make their own crowns. So all done in one session. Highly recommend. Mostly because they are all so nice and informative. No surprises.

I’ve always had a lot of issues with my teeth & have been really nervous about getting any dental work done, so my friend referred me to Dr.Kim. Have to say him and his team (Lydia and Jacky) were incredible! He was super understanding of my general anxiety around going to the dentist, and I was able to get all of my work done in a super fast and painless session.

I just finished my first visit with Dr Kim and his team. I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the time you enter the waiting room til the time you exit, you are treated by an extremely professional and highly competent staff. The office is pristine and is thoroughly modern. I was impressed by everyone I interacted with. If you are looking for a new dental practice, start by checking out, Elliott Bay Dental. I guarantee you won’t need to look any further.

I’ve never had a dental experience this good and EBD is one of a kind. Had a first appointment and at no point did I feel taken advantage of (as dentist in the past were like car mechanics, saying you need this and that). Today though was the icing on the cake. I had a filling put in and I was brought back a few mins. before my appointment, in the chair, doc welcomed me, put the novocaine in, got to work, kept asking if I was ok and well, and in less than 15 minutes, I was done. Zero pain, zero issues. Was then worried that with dinnertime very soon, the novocaine would not wear off. It wore off in less than 40 minutes, again, no pain, no issues. It was the most efficient filling I think ever in the history of fillings, at least for me. Can’t recommend this office enough, they’re awesome.

For busy folks such as myself, this is the place for you. Dr. Kim is polite, professional, and very efficient. He goes step by step in the right amount of detail, gets you on your way as fast as possible, and you walk away knowing your treatment was the best of the best. His assistants are top notch too!

My experience from start to finish was wonderful!  I’m a new patient but the initial paperwork was quick and easy. I sat in the waiting room for a short period of time before they came to get me. I have had x-rays done previously with other dentists of course but I have never had a dentist take extensive photographs as well. Both the technician and doctor (Misty) were very attentive, friendly and explained everything they were doing. I have never been offered a neck pillow or glasses to shield my eyes from the bright lights in any other dental office. I felt this attention to detail to increase the comfort of the patient was really thoughtful.  The cleaning was fairly quick and painless and both doctor and technician asked me how I was doing multiple times. Overall, I don’t think I have anything bad to say at all – the office was neat and clean and I don’t know how anyone could complain about the free cookies!  I have found my dentist in Seattle for sure!

I chose this dental office because of convenient location and at the recommendation of a friend. I have spent many hours in dental offices over the past 30 years. I spend a lot of time clawing at the chair in anticipation of a drill hitting a nerve. It has been 10 years since my last visit. I went in for a cracked tooth. My situation requires removal of old silver filling, a mold made, a temporary installed. From entering the office to leaving the office, it took an hour. I did not expect that much work to be done that quickly. This is a modern facility that uses modern imagery (no waiting for X-ray processing). My doctor’s name was John Y. Kim, DDS. At all points in the visit, they are able to provide financial estimates. No shock.

I rarely recommend health care offices because they don’t make an impression but Elliott Bay Dental is different. They truly treat you like family and help you understand your health care benefits and out of pocket costs. And if that’s not enough reason to join them, they give you cookies after your initial appointment to welcome you to the family! Highly recommend.

I hadn’t been to a dentist for close/over ten years. My wisdom tooth on the right side of my mouth was not doing well. It had deteriorated badly. Last week my years of neglect caught up with me and I was in acute pain. Rolling on the floor fetal wishing someone would just shoot me. Awful place to be in. I managed to swallow some Pain meds and Yelped the closes dental offices to my house. This came up. The person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly kind and understanding and had me booked for a 7am appointment the next morning. I arrived to an immaculate office with its own parking. The intake form was pretty straight forward and I completed it in a few minutes. The premises can’t be more than a few years old. It also smelt of cookies (I confirmed that they bake them fresh on premise as I though my pain was making me barmy.) The back of the of premises where the real work takes place is also spick and span. The staff are all uniformed and friendly, the equipment looks like it was bought in fresh that morning. Amazing. They took an x-Ray of my mouth and made a referral to Seattle Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (highly recommended) for teeth extraction. I loved going there, and told my wife she should also go as she is overdue a visit.

Elliott Bay Dental is awesome, my fiancé and I both have visited for exams and cleanings and both times everyone was so nice and helpful! Going to the dentist isn’t alway the most fun experience but they definitely help it be a better experience! Starting with the full coffee bar and water fridge and then all of the dental equipment is very modern. We even both got bags of home made cookies for being first time customers! The cleaning with Delina was awesome she is very knowledgeable and helpful giving tips on how to keep your teeth even healthier!! Thank you again! We will be coming back!

These guys are great! I needed a new dentist and used to drive by their office every morning so one day I decided to set up an appointment. The staff is SO friendly and personable. I love how welcoming(and clean) the office and everyone is! As they’re working, they’re constantly letting you know what’s going on and are happy to answer any questions and make you feel as comfortable as possible. Another great perk: your privacy! I’ve always had a private room so not everyone can see what the dentists are working on. I can’t rave enough about these folks! I recommend all of my friends go here.

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I live in Bellevue and drive to Seattle just to go to this dentist. Dr. John Kim always takes great care of my teeth. He has a very natural approach and a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” attitude. Other dentists are quick to drill and so I appreciate him not doing work that doesn’t need to be done. He is very professional but also super laid back and takes time to talk to patients. I never felt rushed or like they needed to get the next appointment. Everyone there seems like they enjoy their job. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. I’m always surprised when I come in and people remember me by name. The location is also excellent, parking is always available and I can even grab some good dinner or lunch after my appointment. My favorite part about this clinic is how clean and modern it is. Plus the coffee, Izze sodas, Wi-Fi and fresh oven baked cookies area always waiting when I arrive.

Best possible experience for a miserable procedure. I needed a root canal -YUCK!! I’ve had a couple done elsewhere and I’ve always hated everything about it. Not this time! Elliott Bay did a wonderful job! Yes of course the shots hurt. I’m a super sensitive redhead and everything hurts! But they were so patient with me and let me breathe and collect myself before each one. So kind and supportive! And then they isolated the area around the tooth with this cool little drape thing which kept all the little bits of tooth and dust etc from going all over my mouth. It was so nice not getting sprayed in the face with all the debris that flys while they drill and work. They were calm and friendly but didn’t ask questions I couldn’t answer with my mouth wide open. Explained steps and warned me if it was going to be loud or vibrate etc. All together it was the most positive experience I’ve ever had for a procedure I’d prefer not to repeat. I’ve already scheduled my next cleaning and I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dental office.

Best dentist I’ve been to!! I had a cavity and had a sensitive tooth, so went to see Dr. Kim at Elliott Bay Dental when I went back home to visit family in Seattle. I normally loathe going to the dentist but the experience at Elliott Bay was pleasant! I was greeted by a nice person at the front desk who answered all my insurance questions. During the appt., Dr. Kim talked me through every step and let me know when I was going to feel a pinch or slight pain, which made it so much easier. He is very knowledgeable. One tooth has been bothering me for at least a couple years. It was extremely sensitive with heat and cold. My previous dentist didn’t think there was anything wrong with it, but Dr. Kim looked at the X-ray and immediately figured out the issue and fixed it. I don’t feel sensitivity in that tooth anymore! The office is very modern with state of the art equipment so I knew I was getting high quality care. Suffice it to say that I’m coming back home to Seattle for future dentist appts.! Like others have mentioned, it is so worth it!

I needed to switch dentists and I found out that Dr John Kim is a UPS Alumni. Dr Kim let me try the Zoom Whitening free of charge and I am getting a much needed night guard. I know that I don’t have the best dental hygiene and it was great that I didn’t feel judged nor any pain. I recommend this dental office and suggest you request a free trial of teeth whitening.

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff from the front office, to the back. Dr. Kim made me feel very much at ease when explaining & completing the treatment needed upon my initial visit. Very personable, knowledgeable and professional Doctors and employees! Even though I live in Bothell, it’s completely worth the drive for what seems to be difficult to find,…impeccable customer service. Highly recommended! Not to mention the design of the office is architecturally unique, hours are very flexible, and they have a private, free parking lot with tons of space, and to me, that is huge.

Made an appointment for a basic checkup/cleaning. Elliott Bay Dental has… -Parking lot with plenty of spots -Clean, modern waiting area w/beverages -Professional and warm front desk -Thorough and wonderful dentist -Friendly dental hygienist It was such a good first visit experience. I’ve never had such a thorough & personable dentist, who explained everything in detail from going through the x-rays to the teeth cleaning. I appreciated her talking me through everything she was doing, and her making sure that I got all of my questions answered. I left with a goodie bag of floss & tooth brush plus homemade cookies- totally unexpected and a kind gesture!

im usually pretty skeptical of dentist offices with five stars as its usually paid fake reviews. but this place is legit five stars. the facility is nice with plenty of free parking. all the chairs are in private rooms. the staff are all stellar. the dentist is a master of her craft and does nice fillings. she is also very gentle. she takes the time to educate you on things like how to read an xray or explain the process. she also doesnt recommend unnecessary procedures which i respect like a lot. the dental hygienists are all very good. they are seriously sooo nice to me. i wouldnt even be that nice to me. they straight ask me follow up questions to things we talked about six months ago. although i just mumble cuz i got things going on in my mouth at the time. and holy shiz they are sooo pretty. my heart flutters evertime im in there. too bad they have to look deep into my disgusting mouth. they also drop some good knowledge on products and flossing techniques and things. a wonderful facility
