Ellis Family Dentistry makes going to the dentist an easy, relaxed experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the dentists are thorough and do a fantastic job of explaining the dental care they are providing. They are wonderful with my children, allowing them to feel comfortable enough to have procedures done as needed. The hygienists are gentle enough to make a cleaning comfortable, yet I still feel that I get a deep clean. They use cutting edge technology – many processes that usually have to be done in a lab are done right there in the building! The office atmosphere is comfortable and beautiful – not sterile like so many health care offices can be. Upon arrival, I am seated with little or no wait. The front office staff does a wonderful job of explaining treatment and payment plans as well as making appointments quickly and around my schedule. When you walk in, the 1st thing you see is the word “SMILE” on the wall – this seems to be their motto because everyone at Ellis Family Dentistry greets and treats you with a smile, they work diligently to brighten and correct your smile, and you leave with a smile on your face!

Not only were they extremely friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the office and among they staff was so pleasant and inviting. Plus..they play excellent music throughout the office. I have been going to this dentistry for over 10 years. Everyone is always courteous and friendly. I have never had a bad experience. The dental work is always thoroughly explained so I always feel comfortable. I feel that my dental needs are met and in good hands. I highly recommend this dentistry to anyone that is looking for a dentist office to go to. I had my 6 month checkup yesterday. I was very pleased when I left the dentist office. The staff is so nice, friendly and professional. They are willing to answer my questions and offer helpful advice. I felt so comfortable knowing that I was in good hands. I recommend them highly.

Always outstanding customer service. Very friendly staff. My #1 like is the communication. I’m always told what is about to take place and how it should or shouldn’t feel. The office is clean, which is a stickler for me. The outside is also well maintained. Don’t tell them I said this but sometimes the music sux, lol. Music is a matter if preference so I don’t count that in my evaluation. I’m happily returning for a crown and a cleaning so that’s saying a lot. I would definitely refer. Highly recommend. BTW: I chose this practice based on the reviews.

From the kind and helpful front desk staff to the assistants and hygienists, everyone delivers exceptional, compassionate care. Dr. Jonathan Ellis takes time to explain what is needed in a clear way. I was going to need a bridge after having had braces as an adult. Dr. Ellis worked closely with my orthodontist to be sure that my bite was correct. He explained everything to me clearly at each step of my treatment (including the pricing). I took my daughter to Dr. Ellis over a month ago and she loved it. I went yesterday and it was a wonderful dentistry experience. The best that I have ever had. Dr. Ellis is “Everything” he is so personable and witty. He had me laughing the entire time while my entire mouth was numb ..lol. He is very humorous. I am telling you that makes all the difference for me. He is great with his work and knows his job well…he knows it too!! ha ha. He is very confident about his work. I am sad to be relocating over 80 miles away; I even ask him if I could take him with me to Chesapeake, Of course he will not go along with me because he loves his beautiful office. (I know this sounds corny but I really like going to the dentist.) Update, May 20, 2020 I had my first “post COVID-19” visit for a regular hygiene appointment yesterday. I am so happy that the Ellis team is there for me and making it possible to stay healthy. They called in advance so i could pay over the phone to avoid minimal contact in the office. I was instructed to call the office when I arrive and stay in the car until my hygienist would come to get me. She took my temperature with a touchless device before we went inside. I did not have to touch anything until I was in the treatment room and was seated in the chair. Everything was explained in detail as to how the cleaning will be done differently so as to minimize droplets in the air. Also the reason for no goody bags, etc. After the treatment and the checkup I was again escorted out of the building by my hygienist and I did not have to touch anything. I felt safe and went home knowing I can take care of my dental health even when we have the scare of a highly infectious disease!

Started going here a month ago I had a bad wisdom tooth. Jessica put me at ease and got me out of pain and I felt nothing. She walked me through whole process and made sure any questions or concerns I had was answered. The entire office is wonderful from the start when you walk in the door. My hygienist Kelsey did my first deep cleaning today and was awesome as well. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and they never made me feel bad and were just so positive! I have a dental plan set up with them and I can’t say enough good things about this place!! They have definitely changed my mind about the dentist!! A plus they are kid friendly, I couldn’t find anyone to watch my daughter and they were awesome with keeping an eye on her and making sure she was ok!!

This dentist is amazing. I was a new patient and they got me in the day I called to make an appointment. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. They are out of the Tricare network but they except Tricare and they don’t not charge military families co-pays for preventative visits. They give the a huge discount. I got an x-ray, cleaning and exam for nothing after insurance. I do not recommend Kool Smiles for military families. They should really consider coming here because the experience is AMAZING!!!

This is probably one of the finest dental offices my wife and I have been treated at. It’s clean, nicely kept, professional looking and the staff is also quite friendly, professional and helpful. Dr John Ellis is also nice to write about. He has a lot of energy and will do everything he can to get you taken care of on the day you visit. I had a broken crown and he saw me on short notice. Two hours after they called me in…I walked out with a brand new crown. He is an awesome dentist, you can tell he enjoys his work and he’s rightfully proud of his practice. He has also invested in top of the line equipment to service your many dental needs and get you taken care of there, and expeditiously. My wife and I highly recommend this office for all of your dental needs.
