Finding Doctor Wong was like winning the lottery – a stroke of good fortune I didn’t even deserve. He saved my teeth. How rich would my life have been without them? From unpleasant episodes in my childhood I carried a dread of dentistry well into my adult years. I had gone decades without professional dental care. I learned of Doctor Wong from a work colleague and steeled my nerves for a consultation. That was twenty years ago. Throughout that time, no matter where I lived or where I worked, I took my dental needs to the friendly office at Larchmont and Clinton. Ellis Wong, DDS is a true doctor – a healer who puts you at ease the moment he meets you. His first concern is patient comfort. He believes that pain has no place in his office. His facility is designed and equipped for high tech diagnostics, first rate treatment, and maximum peace of mind. Doctor Wong exudes absolute competence, welcome warmth, and humor as sharp as any of his instruments. Everyone on his staff sustains his pervasive atmosphere of trust and well being – clerical staff, dental assistants, and hygienists. The treatment chairs offer heated massage pads and radios with earphones. Even the waiting lounge provides comforts – a wall waterfall, abundant magazines, and a mini-fridge well-stocked with juice and water. Afloat in euphoria following one of Doctor Wong’s treatments, I boasted to him, “I will always come to you, even for cleanings, even if you move to San Diego.” Deadpan, Doctor Wong assured me. “I’m not moving to San Diego.”

I never loved visiting the dentist until I met Ellis. He makes going to the dentist and breeze. Kristen and office staff are amazing and Ellis is top quality with his work. He is a wonderful friend now and I adore each visit. I also feel his prices are very good and look forward to my daughter being old enough to start going to this dentist with me. I also appreciate the easy free parking at his office and that he is open occasionally on Saturdays. I do wish he was in network with some insurance company…

I wish I hadn’t had to get that dental work done, but I’m so grateful that a friend recommended Dr. Wong. He’s really something. Pain-free, perfect color & translucency matching on fillings, he returned an emergency call on a Sunday (immediately)… and the guy just cracks me up. I mean he is FUNNY. He’s got one of those tiny cameras that can get an angle on any tooth, and you can watch the picture on a monitor. Kristen, Susanne, Veronica and everyone working at his office are all genuine and genuinely friendly. Every aspect of his space is well-designed, the lobby ridiculously so (see photos). I mean look at that ceiling! Plenty of parking in the back. Can’t recommend him and his office highly enough!

Dr. Wong is a genius!!!! If you are considering cosmetic veneers or need someone to redo them, please go to Dr. Wong. I had veneers that were all WRONG for my mouth and face. Dr. Wong has a procedure to create a wax-up that will give you an exact idea of the final product! He is a perfectionist and takes his time. The new veneers look and feel perfect. Can I give 10 out of 5 stars?? I would do it! I’ve been coming to Dr. Wong for 14 years. I’ve recommended him to countless friends & colleagues; he really is the best dentist out there. The doctor cares about teeth & care generally. He is always knowledgeable on the latest news in the industry, gives you an honest opinion about treatment & has an excellent eye & hand in cosmetic artistry beyond practical dental care. Beyond building a highly reputable practice, Dr. Wong is friendly, hilarious & I truly look forward to heading to the office every 6 months. Lucy & Kristen at the front desk are so incredibly on top of it & organized that the entire process, from booking thru insurance & payment, is seamless… and they are warm & friendly to boot! The theme here at the office is that everyone CARES. Catherine does a very thorough yet painless job when cleaning my teeth & I’m so appreciative. Plus, it’s always a funny ongoing conversation. I didn’t realize what I had been missing in normal cleanings until finding this practice. I trust Dr. Wong with my teeth… and as I am a bit obsessed with my oral health & having a beautiful smile, it’s a big deal.

Dr Wong is GREAT! My husband found him and has been going to him for over a year. I’m so happy I tried him, his office was so nice, the Hygenist Catherine is excellent. Believe me, if I could give Dr. Wong 10 stars – in a heartbeat! I have been his patient since age 6. My first and ONLY general dentist. I’m 20 now. I haven’t seen him in 3 years (yuck, I know) but after last month, it felt like walking down memory lane. DR. WONG, I hope you can read this: You are my favorite tooth wizard, baby. I can’t express it enough on how much I love the office, staff, ethics, and overall work. I had a cleaning here not too far ago and the hygienist that gave me the prophylaxis (deep ultrasonic scaler cleanse) was extremely nice. When I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist burst out in excitement when she pulled out my patient record. Everybody here has watched me grow over time. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of memorabilia rush through my blood when walking into the waiting room. Looked better than when I last visited. Sitting in the comfy chair, having the dental staff smile at me, and having the doctor ask me how I’ve been was all heartwarming. I love them all so much, if you were to go to any general dentist in Los Angeles, please look no further. One more thing, I am studying to be a dental assistant. Dr. Ellis Wong has been an inspiration since I was a wee lad. He’s downright motivational and I suggest to anybody searching for a local LA dentist. The reviews don’t lie he is truly the best. And he loves Hawai’I! Kidding, he has the best quality equipment, gas for pain, a gentle touch and superb technique. If you’re in search of a new dentist, go to Dr. Wong. If you have a dentist that you’re not in love with, go to Dr. Wong. His was my first dentist visit in LA, partially because I used to go when I visited home, and because I didn’t want to try more than one place, so I was hesitant to commit… He came highly recommended, and I was completely satisfied. Highlights: Incredibly friendly staff, upfront pricing and options, no pushing sales. I was having some insurance issues, so ahead of time, they found out all of the potential fees I would have to pay, and emailed them to me! And, they use a camera to examine your teeth, so much less awkward gagging from prodding in the back of your mouth. I’ve never seen such happy, smiley patients walking in and out of a dentist’s office. Go, you won’t be sorry!

The staff here is absolutely amazing, Dr. Wong is as nice as can be and the place is just lovely to be in. The waiting area is nice and relaxing, there is even a wine fridge with various juices and waters for patients to help themselves to while waiting. I have to go to an oral surgeon for my issue, but I can’t wait to come back and get a teeth cleaning here. How is this place so amazing that I can’t wait to come back? That just doesn’t happen. I’d like to add that my referral was to Dr. Lew and while I haven’t been in, I can already tell that they are also an amazing office based off of the friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionist

Because of dr. wong, i am no longer afraid of the dentist. i have no fear, because dr. wong is here. corny, i know, but it’s true. i used to be the white knuckle, fearful, please can i have a xanax before going to the dentist girl. now, it’s a breeze. i don’t mind going to the dentist. dr. wong is so good at what he does, i never, ever felt ANY pain whatsoever, from start to finish, never any discomfort or pain. it didn’t hurt that he gave me laughing gas. he gave me orange glasses to wear while doing the work to get me new crown, and between the laughing gas, the orange glasses, and donna summer playing on the radio, i swear i thought i was at studio 54. honey i was feeling NO PAIN. and the beautiful thing about it is that afterward they give you pure oxygen so you don’t feel any adverse affects of the laughing gas and you can drive yourself home. i was, and am, so relieved to have found dr. wong. i am so confident in his ability that he was my son’s first ever dentist, and he’ll also be his, and my, only dentist. thank you dr. wong and staff, you all are fantastic!

Dr Wong is the best dentist I have ever been too. I have been going there for years and have always had a wonderful experience- all the people who work there are incredibly friendly and professional. I greatly appreciate going to an appointment and being seen on time and they are the BEST at being on schedule. I have a cavity problem and have been terrified of the pain of the filling process- no need to be scared with Dr Wong. I didn’t even feel the injection and the whole process was quick and I felt absolutely nothing the entire time. I recently moved to Chicago and was so sad about having to find a new dentist. I finally went after 1 year to a new dentist and they raved about Dr Wong’s work- all 3 dentists in the new office had to come check out my teeth- emberassing but funny. They were impressed with my white fillings. I recommend Dr Wong to anyone looking for a dentist or if you are not 100 % happy with your current dentist

I’m so grateful for Dr. Wong. Previous dentists had never been able to get me numb and it was awful. I would end up getting way too many shots and then feel sick from all the lidocaine in my system. I hadn’t gone to a dentist in more than 4 years. I came here because I looked up dentists on Yelp and I found this place. Like any place providing any service, you look for certain things. They had GREAT customer service. The staff was helpful and friendly. The office was very clean and nice. It was also quiet and calm. Dr. Wong was funny, friendly, straight forward and thorough when explaining things. They had affordable and fair pricing. I plan on getting more dental work done here very soon. WHERE HAS DR. WONG BEEN ALL MY LIFE??! My only regret is not finding him sooner since I moved out here. Aside from being funny, compassionate, kind, and friendly, Dr. Wong is really knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to all my concerns and answer all my questions. I always leave his office feeling well-taken care of, and dare I even say, pampered. He also has a great staff, from the receptionists to the assistants and the hygienist, everyone is always friendly and welcoming. On top of that, his office space is spacious, clean, with plenty of parking behind the building, and he has top-notch equipment so you can see areas of your own teeth like you’ve never seen before lol, what more can you ask for? I saw Dr. Wong in 2019 after researching cosmetic dentists in the area. I had braces (twice), and to make a long story short, I had two pointy, stubborn canine/eye teeth that shifted, causing it to look almost as if part of my tooth was missing. I was always hiding my smile, and it was just getting worse. He suggested a few things, but I ultimately decided that I wanted them bonded to look square, completely hiding the fact that they were pointy. He did that, and it made such a significant difference in my smile and confidence. I will definitely be back to see him when I need more work done. Oh – I forgot to mention that on top of being highly skilled, he is very nice and patient and has a great sense of humor. The staff are all great too. I hate going to the dentist, but this was an enjoyable experience.

Dr. Ellis Wong saved my life. I spent months saving and researching the best dentist for veneers. I went to a few different consults before deciding to go with Dr. Maddahi in Beverly Hills. I was promised 10 perfect veneers in just 2 visits. Wrong. I must have went back 8 times and each time I had to be re-numbed, drilled on, and missed work. Each set had something wrong, (2 teeth had air bubbles in them, 1 was off color, and a few were crooked/ too big.) I started to panic because I could see that the veneers were not getting closer to what I wanted but further away.. I looked like I had dentures!!! At my wits end I met Dr. Wong through one of his friends. (who had perfect teeth) . As soon as I walked into his clinic, his staff made me feel like family. They were so warm and genuinely friendly (not fake friendly!!) and really do care. I was so shaken by all the pain I went through and was scared of the dentist chair.. but Dr. Wongs numbing and sedation techniques were so good, I actually fell asleep in the chair!!!! Which is crazy for me, because before that Id been a shaking, crying mess, with teeth on the verge of root canals from all of the trauma. They were very sensitive. Dr. Wong used all these tools that the other dentist didnt use, like a tool to see where my midline should be, a gum laser thing that reshaped my gums to make them even, and lots of little things to ensure perfection. AND PERFECTION is what I got.. in 2 visits!! (Like the other one had promised, but Dr. Wong actually delivered.) Absolute perfection. I was starting to think that there was something wrong with ME.. like maybe I was too much of a perfectionist for my own good, and was only seeing the flaws in the other guys work.. but NO. If you pay top dollar for perfection, you should not settle for anything less. BY THE WAY.. Dr. Ellis Wong does NOT charge top dollar. His prices are ALOT less expensive than what I was quoted by other dentists.. including the one I gave all my money to. (who gave me only half my money back, by the way.. even though I kept none of his teeth and he didnt deliver what was promised.) But luckily, it covered the cost of Dr. Ellis Wong.. so I didnt lose too much more money. I wish I would have found him sooner.. But I am so so SO lucky I found him when I did.. otherwise, I probably would have lost my job, my modelling career, not to mention, MY TEETH! Thank you Dr. Wong for being brilliant, and to his nurses and staff for the same :))

I have been a patient of Dr. Wong’s since 1986 and now, even with a one hour commute (one way), I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. I did have one brief lapse of brain activity and ventured for a cleaning elsewhere. It was my reminder that there is no other place that can match the experience you will have with Dr. Wong and his staff. Truly. Dr. Wong has always been open and honest with me and my dental work (fillings, crowns, and cleanings). Recently, I had a cavity in a tooth that on the x-ray looked like it might be a potential candidate for a root canal. Thanks to Dr. Wong’s honesty and integrity (and dental brilliance!), he saved my tooth with a simple filling and a stern reminder to floss, floss, floss. I trust Dr. Wong 100%. I appreciate him and his entire staff. They constantly exceed my expectations and do everything to accommodate my needs. Are they friendly? You will immediately feel part of this family. Warmth and friendliness exudes from everyone. Have I ever felt any pain? Nope. And I consider myself an extreme baby when it comes to pain. I highly recommend Dr. Wong. Let me just say you KNOW a dentist has to be awesome when you’re sitting in the chair, three of your front teeth cracked, he is leaning over you drilling, and all you can think of is “OMG, I can’t wait to post a review on Yelp about how amazing this guy is!!” I hate going to the dentist. I mean I really really hate going to the dentist. I hate it so much I was up at 5:00am this morning having an anxiety attack about going to the dentist. Heck I haven’t even been to a dentist in 10 years (yuch I know). However halfway through my appointment today I was thinking that it was so pleasurable I will totally be coming back in 3 months for a check-up (sure the laughing gas helped). Really I am a tough critic when it comes to Dentists. Part of the reason I haven’t gone in so long is I’ve never found one I liked. But Dr. Wong is awesome. He spends a lot of time with you putting you at ease, explaining everything. He has a great personality and he makes sure that above all you feel no pain. I will recommend Dr. Wong to everyone I know. He is my new favorite and you can rest easy if you are going to him – your experience will be pleasurable

I am so incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Wong and saved my teeth! He is not only a nice, compassionate person but also a perfectionist who will make sure your teeth are in the best possible shape. It took a long time to straighten out various problems caused by my previous dentist. I feel bad saying that about the previous dentist, because he was a nice person, but ultimately you have to have a dentist with the talent and ability to take good care of your teeth. Dr. Wong is simply the best!!! Also, the office itself is great: friendly, highly competent staff; peaceful, attractive waiting room (though you never have to wait long); and state-of-the-art equipment. I’ve been going to Dr. Wong my WHOLE Life…ok, not my whole life, but my entire adult life. I never understood why people feared going to the dentist. Dr. Wong always made it seem easy and painless. When I moved away, I went to other dentists and realized why people were so anxious about their visits. There simply is no comparison! He makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Strangely, even the office also has a calming, airy vibe to it too. Dr. Wong has a natural ability to reassure you and make you feel comfortable. He’s the best there is. I’ve chipped my front teeth numerous times and because he’s a specialist in cosmetic dentistry, no one can ever tell! Dr. Wong and his staff have practically become family. I can’t lie, he is pricey, but worth EVERY penny! I get compliments on my teeth all the time. It’s all thanks to Dr. Wong. The staff is courteous, friendly and professional and Dr. Wong is knowledgable, honest and enthusiastic. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was so attentive to my gum sensitivity, she even numbed them prior to cleaning.
