I have been Dr Coffey’s patient for over 25 years. He has come out on Thanksgiving night for an emergency for me. He is incredibly skillful and knowledgeable and provides top quality care. His office staff are professional and well trained, many have worked for him for decades. He always provides the most appropriate treatment options. Thank you!

Dr. Coffey and his staff are first and foremost very professional and skilled. What makes them standout is how comfortable, friendly and personable they are. For the first time in my life I look forward to my dental appointments. I have never felt comfortable smiling because of my front teeth. Dr Coffey has given me a confident smile. My only regret is that I didn’t find him and his staff sooner.

Dr. Coffey has been my dentist for over 20 years and I highly recommend him as a dentist. I recently had a crown completed and had a pleasant experience thanks to one of his painless shots. He doesn’t overdisgnose and he recommends treatment only when it’s needed. Additionally, he takes the time to explain what the problem is and actually shows you by using his intra-oral camera. His office is very modern and has upgraded technology. Some of the staff has been there since my first visit and they are a great team. I wouldn’t trust any other dentist than Dr. Coffey!

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Coffey’s for years now, and we are very happy. The team is happy and efficient, the technology is excellent, you can see your x-rays right away and Dr. Coffey is always ready to explain things. Confident, gentle, excellent – what else can you ask for? And, the care has been consistently good for many years.

I have been going to Dr. Coffey for many years. During this stressful time, I am grateful that I can get the care I need at his office without any added stress! I love Dr. Coffey, adore Barbara, admire Olivia (she is doing a wonderful job) and especially appreciate the young lady at the check-in/check-out desk! I feel terrible that I don’t remember her name. She is always kind and patient, even when she has several things going at once!

The team, from front office to Hygienist to Dr. Coffey himself were friendly and professional. I am new to Dr. Coffey because my former dentist missed an infection and I wound up having a molar extracted. Dr. Coffey took the time to examine my bite and actually recommended I NOT bother with an implant. He said he’d be glad to take my money but that unless I was having trouble chewing/eating (which I am not) then save it for something else. I appreciate his “old school”, practical approach. AND my teeth are the cleanest they’ve been since I moved to San Diego County. Thanks Michelle.

My family has been going to Dr. Coffey’s office for 16 years. The highest level of professionalism and care. Excellent cleanings, office staff and when work needs to be done I am always confident in Dr. Coffey’s care. He is highly skilled with state-of-the-art equipment. Also they were very flexible and kind when my adult autistic son started getting his teeth cleaned.

Best Dentistry I have ever herb to!!! So kind, absolutely caring and Dr Coffey can gives the best oral numbing shot, which can be terrifying! The staff are so friendly and actually makes going to the dentist very enjoyable. I am in and out of there so fast! Best dentistry in town

I have been going here for two years and have had a wonderful experience to date. Just had my last appointment two weeks ago. The office is located on Encinitas Blvd and El Camino Real by the Jack in the Box. The staff is friendly and the office looks clean and organized. The plus – Dr. Coffey does not recommend unnecessary treatments. This and proper billing without surprises are the most important attributes of a good dentist. Most, unfortunately, will provide a ‘treatment plan’ of a litany of unnecessary dental treatments. I have been hoodwinked by this practice before and will never again. Look at other dental reviews and you will see it is common. Always have a second opinion. In fact that was the reason I started going here and the reason I stayed. Our insurance had changed and we had to find a new dentist. This was a process I hate because a good dentist is so hard to find. The first told me I had two ‘small cavities’ that he could take care of quickly. I said not now and decided to get that second opinion. The second dentist saw no cavities but said my teeth were awful and I needed 2000 of periodontal work instead. I passed. They were completely different opinions. I then tried Dr. Coffee. They took x-rays and cleaned my teeth. No cavities (nor have they found one in the two years since). And I did not need all this periodontal work either. Guess those others were just trying to pay off their new Mercedes 😉 I am so glad I did not waste money or worse, having my teeth drilled into unnecessarily. I know that has happened in the past. It is how most dentists operate. It just took me about 50 years to figure that out. I hope that others will always get that second opinion because of my review. My only concern is that Dr. Coffey is nearing retirement age and when he does, I will have to find another one who has Dr. Coffey’s ethical attributes.

Dr. Coffey is honest, caring, and gentle. My family and I have been going to him for years. All of the staff members are friendly and easy to talk to. I get nervous at the dentist, but I always feel comfortable with Dr. Coffey. Highly recommend.

Dr. Coffey and his staff were beyond wonderful to work with, Barbara his dental tech was a great assist, incredibly friendly and helpful. As a newly returned resident to North County from LA I am currently without a dentist and was very fortunate to come across this office. I look forward to returned visits with them which is rare to say!
