Dr. Lukman, Maritza, Julie, Sylvia and the entire staff at Dr. Lukman’s office made my dentist experience relaxed and comfortable. Most importantly, they made it painless. After not visiting the dentist for over three years, I had a lot of dental work to be done. Julie laid out a great dental plan for me and thoroughly explained the entire process. Sylvia polished and cleaned my teeth beautifully. Maritza is the dental assistant but I call her dentist number two because she’s very skilled and knowledgeable at what she does. She’s also caring and friendly. And of course Dr. Lukman is a master dentist that does his work professionally and ethically. I’m extremely satisfied with his work and will recommend him to all my friends and family. Overall, I give the entire staff five stars. Come visit them!

I have had the absolute best experience with this office. I’ve been to many dentists over the years and while I have never had an especially bad experience, I had never had a particularly pleasant one either. That is, until I met Dr. Lukman and his staff. Everyone there from the front desk, to the hygienists, to Dr. Lukman, himself, were kind, caring, and gentle people. Additionally, they listen to your concerns and are happy to share their knowledge to aid in the patient’s understanding of procedures and oral care. You won’t get a better dentist than Dr. Lukman. I went to his practice for my basic cleaning. Basic cleanings are pretty simple and Dr. Lukman’s staff did a good job. But it was after the cleaning, when Dr. Lukman came in and reviewed the findings with me that I felt most impressed. I felt that his suggestions on future dental care were practical and worthwhile. With other dentists I have always felt that they are just recommending the most expensive treatments and procedures because they need make payments on their fancy dental equipment. But Dr. Lukman was a dentist I could level with. Oh, should also mention the convenient location and friendly and efficient staff.

I was looking for a dentist in the Mission and was referred to Dr. Lukman by a friend who said she had a smooth time. It was a bit hard to find at first (it’s up on the 3rd floor of a medical building), but long story short, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm staff and Dr. Lukman’s professionalism in taking care of me. Dr. Lukman took the time to explain to me what was up with my teeth, and this may sound funny, but he has a gentle and efficient touch that had me in and out of my cleaning in no time. He always was very considerate of my time as I had to go to work soon after, so we decided to do my cavity work at a future date. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for someone in the Mission. Dr. Lukman is a cool guy and one of the better dentists I’ve ever seen.

Wonderful care. Amazing team. Julie remembered my name after our first appointment there, and at each check-up appointment remembers our past conversations and ask how my exams and other things were going. Dr. Lukman is a great dentist. I give this Doctor 5 freakin stars!!!! 1st things 1st, i am a scared mess when it comes to dentist. My anxiety levels are at 100 when ever i go see a dentist. I came to Dr.lukman for a crown. It wassuper easy to scheduled an appointment. But the best part was when i came in, the doc was so light on his hand! I didnt have to take my anxiety meds to see him. His assistant Silvia was so good with me. She always stopped to ask if i was ok or if i needed anything. I have never felt this comfortable with a dentist. When i say he was light on his had i mean it, i didnt feel a thing and he wasnt putting pressure on my face while he was working on me. Also hes a perfectionist. He was not happy with my crown, he tried couple of times and didnt like the cut so he said i will not risk a cavity lets do it again. I really appricated his honestly, iam self pay so i felt that anyother doc would have took my money and put in the crown knowing it would become a problem, but he did not! I have my mom coming in to see him next mom and i recommend him 100%!!! His front staff are also great, answer all questions and really do call you back if you have questions. Also my crown came in early and i was called to see if i could go in so i wouldn’t wait another week with a temporary one. The girls are on it!

I really appreciate the level of care that Dr Lukman and his staff have for their patients. I have sensitive teeth as well as crowns in my front teeth and cleanings are often really painful. One of the dental hygienists suggested a numbing topical on the sensitive areas and it’s really helped. I’ve been to many dentists and none of them have ever suggested something like that to make my experience more comfortable. Highly recommended!

I’ve been seeing Dr Lukman for maybe 2 years now and I’m extremely happy with the care I’ve received. Everyone in the office is genuinely friendly and very good at what they do. Scheduling is easy, billing is shown up front and doesn’t change, I’ve had no problems with them handling my insurance (Delta). I’ve had some fillings and a cap replaced here (my teeth have never been in great shape) and I’ve been happy with how Dr Lukman explains what’s happening and why he recommends treatment. I’ve also been very happy with the specialists he referred me to for a root canal and wisdom teeth extraction – they’re very close by and also very good at what they do. If you’re looking for a great dentist, stop! This is the one!

I’ve been going to this dentist office for many years now and I’m always very satisfied with the results and service they provide. I’ve gotten cavities filled, cleanings, Invisalign, and whitening done here. I even got the newest type of permanent retainer and am pretty happy with it so far. Everybody there is super friendly and always make you feel comfortable. The entire office has a warm comfortable feel to it, which is nice especially when you are the type that gets anxious in a dentist office. Dr. Lukman is awesome too! He’s professional, but knows how to keep it light and casual. He always tries the best to give you what you want/need. 🙂

Excellent Dental office. I am what one would call a “difficult” patient due to a couple of bad experiences in my past. Dr. Lukman and his entire staff were gentle, patient, understanding. The office is friendly, casual and comfortable. Everything you could hope for, especially if you’re sensitive like me. I had a cleaning, full exam, and multiple fillings. All went well. They were also very clear and specific about the payment, the amount I will owe compared to what my insurance will pay, in advance of my treatment. I have found a new dentist (finally) and dare I say I am actually looking forward to my next cleaning. Highly recommended.

Ok. I’m pretty much a dentist’s worst nightmare. I’ve never flossed, rarely brush, and I consume sweets like it’s going out of fashion. Dr. Lukman is my hero because he’s the only one standing between me and the dark abyss of gingivitis and tooth decay. He’s incredibly skilled at what he does, and has a great sense of humor that puts even the most challenging patients at ease (like yours truly). I referred a couple friends to Dr. Lukman and they love him too. Will I brush regularly? Probably not. Will I pick up that floss? I’m not even sure what that is. But now I won’t have to worry about adding Fixodent into my shopping list as long as this guy’s got my back.

Dr. Lukman is great! I’ve been going to his office for 2 years now and he has always taken care of me. I personally hate going to the dentist but since I’ve started going to see Dr. Lukman my dentist visits are a breeze. They make it extremely easy to remember appointments by texting beforehand and giving cortousey calls to confirm the appointment. The assistants are really nice and they ALWAYS make you feel at home. I have been going to Dr. Lukman for a little over a year now. He used to clean my teeth when he first started off, and thats how I know he has the most gentle-dentist-hands on earth. Now, his cute (female) dental hygienist clean my teeth. Btw, she’s awesome too. Going to my dentist, is like getting a gum massage. Now, who doesn’t love that feeling? Well, if I didn’t already get my braces done 4 years ago, I’d go to Dr. Lukman, ’cause I heard he got his orthodontist license. Poop, I guess I’ll send my children there when I have them, so they can get those complimentary gum massages (a.k.a. cleaning) that I love so much. Dr. Lukman understands how important my chompers are to me, so he lets me ask a million teeth-related-questions during my visit. He’s great with his hands, patient, and kinda cool too. His dental office is in the heart of the mission district, so when i go to the dentist, I also combine it with my grocery shopping trip too. Anyhow, if you’re looking for a great dentist, I’d recommend checking out Lukman Dental.

I’m a lifetime touring musician pushing 50. I’ve got chips, I’ve got fillings, I’ve got a lot of problems. Dr. Luckman has helped me face all of those problems, and recommended excellent care when he can’t provide it. But most importantly, he’s done a perfect job on his end. Just today, I showed up with a BIG chip in my front tooth. Within a half hour, I had a perfect front tooth again. Don’t be fooled by his modesty or his small-ish office; Dr. Lukman is highly skilled, trained back East, up to date on both technology and equipment, and very efficient. The only reason he was late today was because I heard him answering a thousand repetitive questions patiently one room over, to his CREDIT. Good natured staff, nice folks, clear billing. I’ve been going to Dr. Lukman for a little over 6 months now, and am incredibly happy with the level and quality of service his office provides. I’ve visited his office 3 times — 2 cleanings, and 1 emergency chipped tooth repair. All have been excellent experiences as a patient. His office uses the newest technology, which makes the experience painless. For example, for X-rays, they use a digital x-ray setup, which is faster and more immediate than the traditional film X-rays. It’s also more comfortable. His office staff is really helpful and friendly too. I chipped my tooth last month, and the next morning I called and they were able to see my within the hour. I was concerned about how well the tooth could be repaired, but Dr. Lukman did a great job and now I can’t tell where the chip originally was. If you’re looking for a dentist in the Mission, I’d highly recommend Dr. Lukman. You won’t be disappointed.

Don’t let the somewhat grungy exterior of the office building drive you away! It’s the Mission, so it’s to be expected. I’ve been seeing Dr Lukman for the past year or so and have had a great experience every time – from the front desk staff to the cleaning (and sometimes drilling), they’ve made an unpleasant necessity into a pleasure! I recently finished my Invisalign treatment here as well and am very pleased with the results. Cost of services is always very reasonable and insurance is always checked in advance with prices confirmed up front and no nasty surprises on the back end. I’ve been going to Dr Lukman for my dental needs for almost 5 years. I’ve recommended him to two different friends who now also use him as their regular dentist. He takes insurance, but when my insurance expired at one point, his office was very transparent with me about pricing and worked with me to make the prices affordable. The staff are always quick, helpful, and friendly. In addition to all this, at one point about a year ago I had a filling fall out, which sorta freaked me out. I called the office and Dr Lukman made a special appointment for me on a Saturday to get it fixed! I had a new filling within 2 hours on a weekend! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lukman because one of my back teeth was extremely sensitive to cold. The staff was very helpful and efficient from the beginning. Over the phone, Julie was professional and friendly. She gave me a list of dates and times and let me choose the one that was most convenient for me. And on the day before, she called to remind me of my appointment. When I got to the office, Julie greeted me and after filling out the paperwork, I was taken to a room and seated in a dental chair. Dr. Lukman examined my tooth and quickly discovered that I had a cracked filling (someting another dentist had done for me), and then Dr. Lukman put a new filling in about half an hour. That was about 2 months ago and I haven’t felt any pain in that tooth since. Dr. Lukman performs high quality work, and he was very gentle and friendly. My entire experience with him and his staff was great and I’ll be recommending him to all of my friends.

I found Dr. Lukman here on Yelp and chose him because of the great reviews. And I’m glad I did. My dental hygienist, Maggie, was friendly, gentle, and knowledgeable. She actually performed the most comprehensive cleaning I’ve ever had. She also took photos of my teeth before the cleaning too, so she could show me the difference after the cleaning, which was impressive. When Dr. Lukman came by for the check-up, he took the time to answer my questions and didn’t act rushed like some physicians tend to do. Also, when I was asking about the best approach for teeth whitening, he laid out options for doing it on my own as well as doing it through his office, with no pressure.
