Unfortunately, I was back to see Dr. Dow again recently. I say unfortunately as going to any sort of medical specialist means something is up! That aside, I’ve only had pleasant interactions with him and his whole staff. My first visit was several years ago, being referred by my general dentist for a new evaluation of my receding gums. Dr. Dow completed a small-ish gum graft for me back then. The procedure went well and my healing was smooth. I’ve had this done before so I knew what to expect overall, but they gave me clear info and good after-care instructions to follow. This time around we were looking at my bone levels (ugh) and the treatment plan Dr. Dow presented to me seems appropriate and manageable. I don’t feel like he recommends anything unneeded and respects your decisions on what you do and don’t feel comfortable with doing out of the presented options. Of course, any perio work is expensive; however, they check with your insurance first and are very clear up front on what expected costs may be to help you plan and make decisions. I’ve never felt any pressure. One thing to note about the location is that their office is in a busy medical building that has a ridiculously small parking lot. You may need to park in another building’s lot and hop through the bushes if it’s a busy time of day. 🙂

Dr Dow and company were awesome. Total pros. I had an extraction done and they were very comfortable to work with. And the last place anyone feels comfortable is the dentist chair!! But in the end my insurance only took care of so much of the costs. Which I found out in the end the Doc actually took off a $400 plus fee on my billing and gave me free nitros since I declined it, due to the $100 extra, out of pocket costs. I had asked about the gas in the initial exam so i think that’s why he didn’t charge me for it. He knew I wanted it to begin with. Overall, Dr Dow was a referral from my regular doctor. So I would’ve never even heard of him. But i glad it was him and his team that did the extraction. Again, totally pros!

Absolutely perfect. The clinic is very modern, the staff very welcoming. Dr. Dow transmits a calm professional manner and addresses issues matter of factly. Very reassuring. The procedure itself was done quickly and as comfortably as possible, and follow-up steps were clearly explained. The teamwork demonstrated between Dr. Dow and his assistants was nothing short of remarkable. Later in the day a follow-up call from the clinic served to add a very human touch to the whole procedure. I would whole-heartedly recommend him.
