Dr Shibasaki is incredible! No long waits to schedule an appointment, no crowded waiting rooms, no dental work you don’t need. Just awesome, friendly down to earth service by both he and the office staff. We have been going to him for over six years and return year after year! I love having someone we can trust.

Finding a good honest dental office can be tough. And that makes me all the more appreciative of Dr Shibasaki and his staff. Conservative dentistry and supportive environment. To the person who had a question regarding a referral for a root canal: animated-teeth.com/root_… What I have learned in the past is that you want to let the specialist take care of the root canal if a dentist refers you. By Dr Shibasaki referring you, he did the most honest thing which was to make sure your tooth was receiving the best outcome. Not all root canals present a great challenge but when it does, you want your dentist to refer you to an endodontist. There are specialist for a reason.

Dr. Shibasaki takes care of my entire family and is a very caring, competent and intelligent dentist. I’m a faculty member of the Keck USC School of Medicine and I have nearly unlimited choices when it comes to my personal selection of doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Shibasaki.

Love, love, love this office!  Dr. does not OVER diagnose like other dentists, does not try to over sell.  He shoots it straight and gives you options.  Hygienists are friendly and gentle, I actually almost feel asleep during my cleaning.  Beautiful office and very clean atmosphere.

I was a patient of Dr. Ed Griebe, whose practice Dr. S acquired, and now of Dr. S so in total I guess I’ve been a patient for 48 years. I’ve been completely satisfied with both of them in all respects. As for the review giving one star for failing to do root canals, that is a specialty and he will refer you out. Like most modern dentists. This general dentistry office is simply not equipped to do root canals. Did you see a fantastically expensive Leitz stereo microscope in his office? No? Go see an endodontist for that. He will then put the crown on after you get the root canal elsewhere. I’ve never had one of his crowns fail. And let me point out that any dental or medical provider is at a huge disadvantage when somebody posts an ill-informed negative review. Your privacy, ironically, prevents them from commenting on you as a patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Shibasaki for more than 20 years, starting in South Pasadena, and my brothers went to him longer than that. His team always does a great job whether it is a cleaning or an emergency broken tooth. I will always reccommend them for dental work. Thank you Dr. Shibasaki and Kris!

Gentle, caring, kind , companionate, & conservative . Those words describe Dr Shibasaki & how he does his Dentistry. Chris is warm, welcoming , kind & friendly. The hygienists treat each patient as an individual, guiding their treatment as if designed just for them. Great office, you won’t regret choosing them.

Dr Shibasaki has been an outstanding dentist for our family and has dealt with a number of challenges (crowns, old fillings from another dentist, broken tooth) with grace and efficiency. The whole staff has been outstanding. There is a reason he had a reputation as one of the best dentists in South Pasadena. The reviewer who gave Dr. Shibasaki one star does not understand that root canals are a specialty best performed by a endodontist. You are much better off having a root canal from a specialist who performs this delicate procedure every day, rather than once in a while. That said, you should check out any recommended specialist the same way you would check references on a dentist. Unjfortunately for us, Dr. Shibasaki has relocated to Arcadia–possibly too long a drive for some patients.
