I do not even know where to start. I want to say that I have had issues with my teeth my whole life & been to many different dental offices, and have never been comfortable.
I found Excel Dental & Implant Center office through a flyer I received in the mail. So I decided to move past my fears give them a call to schedule my consultation.
When I arrived to my appointment I was greeted by Carmen and Dee who were so welcoming , just that point of walking in to the office and having the warm welcome made me feel comfortable.
After filling out my paper I was then called back and was welcomed by the back office assistant Bryan who is very nice as well , he explained the process of my visit. This made me feel so comfortable times two!
Once the doctor went to do my exam (Dr Lapsi) he was very nice, very kind, very gentle, he asked me the one question that I have never been asked before what is it that I like and dislike about my teeth and what do I WANT to achieve! He explained everything about the health of my teeth, what was going on with my teeth and what needed to be done,as well as answering all my questions from A-to-Z.
After that Carmen came in to explain the process of my treatment, she explained the appointments that were involved, as well as cost. She was very helpful in every way to help me not only to educate and explain to me everything but also set me up on a payment plan that was affordable for me. Which was great because it it was 12 months with 0% interest.
I cannot be more grateful for the services that I had gotten here at Excel Dental and Implant Center .
I recommend them to all my friends and family.
I cannot stop smiling with my new smile.

Absolutely loved my experience at Dr. Lapsi’s office. Firstly, let me start off by saying that I HATE going to the dentist. All Kudos for that goes to my childhood dentist but off course if I get started on that, I would have to take you on this endless miserable journey. So, instead of focusing my efforts on the negative things, I would rather talk about my awesome experience at Dr. Lapsi’s office.
First Impression-Staff, Wendy and Dee are excellent in their PR skills. Greeted me with absolute ease and oozing confidence. Loved the fact that they could get my mind off from the upcoming ordeal that I was dreading and make my mind focus instead on everything else but dentists. Very friendly and witty yet professional at the same time. They said ‘only thing to watch out for is our sense of humor’. They were absolutely correct about that.
Second Impression-Torture chamber itself. Here comes Dr. Lapsi. Very presentable and soft spoken. All throughout the exam, he made sure I was comfortable and keep listening patiently to all my bickering sob stories. Not once did he give me an impression that he was bored or in a hurry or that I was not important. Loved the fact that finally I had found someone compassionate who was well versed in his profession. Not only did he tell me what needed to be done but he gave me plenty of options as well as prioritized it for me so basically I could afford to fix my mouth. I also liked the fact that he is more reasonable compared to the other dentists in the area as well as the office has a payment plan option which worked out excellent for me.
Final Impression-As of last week, my treatment is completed and I am extremely satisfied, pain-free and no longer fear my dentist. Not only did I get over my anxiety but love my smile and am so grateful for all that Dr. Lapsi and his office have done for me. Highly recommended !

Excellent Office. I got referred to Dr. Lapsi’s office through a friend of mine. I needed a full mouth restoration and after year’s of waiting and after having several broken teeth, I was totally fed up. After having one bad experience after another with dentist’s trying to gyp me, I was frustrated,confused and clueless of whom to trust and whom to go to. My long time friend has been going to Dr. Lapsi’s office for year’s now and she has had several procedure’s done with him. She convinced me to go see him once and told me I wouldn’t regret it. With a very heavy heart and against all hope, I did go see Dr. Lapsi.
After waiting at his office for a little over 15-20 mins,I finally got to meet Dr. Lapsi. My first impression of Dr. Lapsi’s was that he is a very truthful, honest and a caring person. In my past, whenever I have met with any other dentist’s , most of them almost seemed to be in a hurry or lacked compassion. I can truly say that Dr. Lapsi’s office , his staff and himself were positively different and much better than any of my past experiences. Shar, Dee, Nydia, Sharon-what a team! These girls make you feel way more welcoming than even at time’s my family has made me feel. I was so impressed with Dr. Lapsi’s knowledge and his mannerism that I decided to proceed my treatment with him. After a year and half in treatment, 16 Implants, all kinds of Bone Grafting Procedure, Extraction’s, cosmetic crown’s, I am thrilled and over the moon with my smile. I cant even tell you and express in word’s how grateful I am to Dr. Lapsi. He has changed not only my smile but my attitude in life and people’s attitude toward’s me. I had came to California visiting from New York and I had this throbbing ache in my tooth that would not go away despite the different pain reliefs I used. I ended up at Excel Dental and Implant Center, and the people there were just AMAZING. From the time I entered in the reception area to the doctor chair, it was nothing less than friendly smiles and optimum customer service. They attended to my every need in such a timely manner, which I really appreciated because of the non stopping pain. Dr. Akash Lapsi ended up being my saving grace dentist. To say that we are only happy with our experience and the results of our dental treatment at Excel would be an understatement. From the minute I walked into the doors of Excel, it was refreshing to be greeted by Dee who always has had a smile on her face no matter how many tasks seemed to have been on her hands. She makes you feel so comfortable that honestly you forget the fact that you are at a dental office. Extremely thorough in what she does and very professional yet warm and welcoming in her mannerism. As you move along to the back office, Mckienzie who seems to be the Right hand of Dr. Lapsi makes you feel welcomed on the dental chair and thoroughly explains you the details of what to expect from your visit at the office. Mind you both these girls made me feel completely at ease and answered my questions so thoroughly that even before I met Dr. Lapsi I was impressed by the diligence, thoroughness and a warm, caring attitude of his staff. My reasoning in coming to Dr.Lapsi was a complete mouth reconstruction. I was referred to him by a friend who also had similar procedures done as myself and had fantastic results. My points in choosing the right office for myself and my family were very simple. I needed to feel comfortable and safe in the hands of the Dentist I choose for my dental needs, the office had to be neat and clean, the doctor had to be patient in listening to my needs and the staff had to be easy to get along with. At the end of my visit with Excel Dental & Implant Center all the above points were not only met but I was extremely comfortable and at peace with my decision in choosing Excel to proceed ahead with my dental treatment.
In short, my list of Dental work involved doing 8 implants on top, 8 implants at the bottom, fixed Bar option on top and bottom with a final fit of the permanent dentures. Needless, to say it wasn’t cheap however Excel Dental & Implant Center are very competitive in their pricing and are certainly not the most expensive but spot on for the number of $$$ spend for the corresponding treatment.
Dr. Lapsi is one of the most professional, wonderful , genuine dentists I can guarantee that you would ever meet. He is a wonderful person who put me at a lot of ease every step of the way. If you have had previous experiences with dentists, you will be able to judge with absolute certainty that the skill level and the perfectionism by which he performs dentistry is by far ahead of his competitors. He is absolutely excellent in what he does. Trust me my association with Excel Dental just didn’t happen overnight but a lot of diligence and time was put at my end so that I would not regret this decision. I can once again say with 100% certainty that choosing Excel Dental & Implant Center has been by far one of the wisest decisions I have ever made for myself and my health. After 6- months of treatment and giving me results that are beyond my expectations, I wanted to voice my opinion that both Excel Dental & Implant Center as well as Dr. Lapsi given the opportunity to treat you, would leave you converted as a patient since the level and quality of Dental care provided at this facility is far more superior than most of the offices out there. Like the previous reviews have mentioned, Excel Dental truly provides the excellence in dental care. Very happy and extremely satisfied client.

The front desk lady, Dee always greet’s me with a smile, let me know what to expect for the day & is also always the best in answering all my insurance needs/questions. The Dental Hygienist- Chris is without a doubt the funniest yet one of the most remarkable ladies I have ever me. You can’t go wrong with any of the team member’s here! I waited until all of my work was done to write this review (cleaning, fillings, a crown, a few Dental Implants). I thought I had one of the best dentists around until I met Dr Lapsi. To explain how “experienced” I am with dentists I think I probably have had at least 15-16 different dentists in my lifetime because I move around a lot. I’m so glad I read the reviews and did my research because Dr Lapsi is the BEST. GO TO HIM. You won’t regret it. He is the sweetest, nicest guy, explains “everything” with such patience in a soft spoken way, that you feel super comfortable and super confident in him treating you. He and his receptionist Dee are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. He’s super gentle for those who are afraid of pain too. One of the best things about Excel Dental is that although it’s a small practice, it’s pretty damn mighty! Everything is up to date, the entire office is very clean and neat, quiet with some Bossanova music playing in the background, nothing loud or fussy. Basically, if you want a dentist who really knows his stuff, can explain things to you by actually showing you and help you understand what you need, and want a dentist office where they feel more like the nicest friends you can possibly have, you definitely want to give this place a try. I have always hated going to see the Dentist but coming to Dr. Lapsi’s office has been a breeze. I came in need of a tooth extraction’s and a few implants. I’ve had several painful and negative dental experiences and my anxiety about the procedures was high. At our consultation Dr. Lapsi and his team clearly explained our options and answered our several questions regarding the procedures, payment, insurance, etc. The office was inviting, warm, comfortable, and friendly. Their professionalism from my first visit to the quick follow ups after the crown was installed, has exceeded my expectations. Since then I have had 5 teeth pulled, grafted, enhanced bone, and inserted four posts for future implants. Since the teeth were frontal, he installed a flipper so it appears I indeed sport bottom teeth. I have zero pain, some tenderness. Also as an example of above and beyond service: During recovery at home I was worried about it’s concerning color and appearance of my gum line. Dr. Lapsi responded via personal text message and phone call – on the weekend! (Everything was fine). Some matters of dental pain and unpleasant recovery simply can’t be avoided, but you’ll be in the best hands with Dr. Lapsi, Dr. Mark and his competent, very friendly staff. Wendy, the office manager, is no slouch with her own knowledge of surgery…I also considered her the choreographer of the operation. Dee, the hygienist really knows her trade and put me at ease. Marysol, the x-ray technician and assistant to Dr. Lapsi is the best. Excel Dental makes you feel, as if you’re part of their family. They are truly concerned with their patients success. My family has been going to Dr. Lapsi’s office since 2010. I think I’ve hesitated to write a review on them first because I thought if I do so they will only get busier so for my owns selfish reasons I wanted to in a way keep them to myself but I feel that I should give them the ‘due credit’ that they rightfully deserve. The staff, Wendy, Dee, Marysol, & Laila are excellent, appointments are always on time, Dr. Lapsi is the best, they send you reminders and confirmations, always send you home with a goodie bag and the office is very clean and modern.
Due to my husband’s and my previous Dental history, we’ve needed a lot of crowns as well as have had multiple Implants put in due to the previous rotten Bridges we had which probably were over 15-20 years old. My children have had their Orthodontic Treatment done under Dr. Lapsi’s office and ‘WOW’ do I love their smiles. Their visits were always punctual with everything going smoothly during the past 2 years of my children having Orthodontic treatment. They both have also had their wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Lapsi under sedation and other than the 1 week sweeping, it was a painless and very well efficiently done procedure. I am also currently in Invisalign treatment with Dr. Lapsi. I love how my teeth are moving and how straight they are getting. I got an awesome deal for Invisalign at Dr. Lapsi’s office which I know for a fact is a hard to beat price.
Dr. Lapsi is very meticulous and has great chair side manners. I appreciate the staff keeping me aware of what each procedure costs are and what my insurance will or will not cover. They have always helped me plan ahead in order to use my flex spending account. My family and myself have always had a seamless experience here.

Everyone is so very accommodating and it is apparent that everyone who works there truly loves it.From the second I walked in for my first appointment, both, Dee and Carmen have been wonderful, helpful and professional. The office is quiet and mellow, which is good for a person like me who gets very nervous about dentistry. All of my fears were laid to rest. I do medical research for a living and was also impressed by the equipment in the patient rooms. Not that I am an expert in dental gadgets but everything seemed state of the art from the cameras, x-ray unit, the chairs, software used, lighting, tools etc. I got the sense they really went all out furnishing the practice with the best equipment available. I felt he was rushing me into an expensive procedure. Since it was a big decision, I wanted to get a second opinion. I really struck gold when an acquaintance recommended Dr. Lapsi to me. I liked his manner and technique immediately. He is a very honest dentist and has your best interest in mind. At any given point, I felt like I was treated with complete respect by Dr. Lapsi and the office staff as well. I never felt like I was being up-sold like I have felt with few other dentists that I have been too. I needed some extensive work.- Dental Implants, Extractions, Bite correction, Caps and some filling’s. Dr. Lapsi came forth as a very professional dentist and is honestly a true craftsman in dentistry. He is full of patience and gave me multiple options on how to accomplish achieving the end results for my dental treatment. Carmen sat down with me to map out a treatment plan that worked with my insurance as well as my pocketbook. It made my heart sink, because I knew it would cost a lot and that it would be a long treatment. However, Dr. Lapsi and his staff helped make this process smooth and comfortable. They explained the process carefully and clearly before we started anything. They made sure I understood all the options and I was also given the option of a payment plan which was fantastic since it was 0% interest in a year. I’m telling you, they went out of their way to make things achievable and possible for me to get my treatment done. Moving forth into the treatment- Dr. Lapsi is a perfectionist. His work is flawless. Even his temporary teeth are beautiful. While waiting for the bases of my implants to take hold in my jaw, I had to use a partial denture for my two front teeth for six months, and no one even noticed! While he’s working on your teeth, you can tell he is very serious about the end product being not only functional but also beautiful as well. When my final implants came back and were placed into my mouth, I was very happy. I could tell that Dr. Lapsi was happy with the result too. I have just finished the process of getting bone grafting, Implants and my crowns installed. I was terrified every step of the way, but Dee did everything to make me feel comfortable and that I was well taken care of during the entire course of my treatment. It doesn’t get better than Excel Dental & Implant Center. I will convince anyone that I know to come here for implants. This team takes care of you and for the first time in my life, I have been able to really trust a dentist. Dr. Lapsi and his staff made me feel safe and comfortable through a very long process, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. After visiting a different local dentist, my husband and I decided to get a 2nd opinion as we didn’t feel comfortable at the other establishment. We are both so happy we did. Dr. Lapsi and Dr. Mark’s and his entire support staff – Dee, Wendy, Marysol and Bryan are amazing. They got us in right away, and when we called because it was a longer drive than we had expected and we were late, we were told “No problem. Just drive safely and we’ll see you when we see you.” There was no wait time to speak of, and they were so efficient. Dr. Lapsi remain calm, cool, and collected and explain everything perfectly to you. He breaks down treatment options in a manner that makes sense to you and in the most urgent to least urgent approach. His bed-side-manner is exactly what it needs to be. I was referred to Excel Dental & Implant Center by my sister. Originally I was suppose to go with another specialist to get my implants done. Excel dental is less expensive than the other place. Jay was his name, he worked on my implant. He was very friendly and assured me it wasn’t painful. He was right! It wasn’t painful at all. It was about an hour procedure because I only did one implant that day. I will be going back to Excel to get my other implants done. We moved to California from New York and I must say from all the dentists I have had so far, he truly is my favorite. We heard about Dr. Lapsi online and read all the odor reviews about him so decided to give him and his office a shot. The first Impression we both got about him is that he is extremely gentle and kind and a very thoughtful individual. He made us both feel very welcomed and heard us patiently regarding our past fears/anxieties of our past experiences. The excellent thing about his office is that all services are provided under 1 roof. From General dentistry, to Invisalign/braces, Root canals, Sleep Dentistry, and pretty much everything beyond that. I always wanted to get Invisalign treatment done for myself but in New York the prices were so behind the roof that I always kept putting it off. I was shocked to find how reasonable Dr. Lapsi’s prices were. So, I am extremely glad that a decision that i and been waiting to make for so long I finally got started on. My treatment so far has been hassle free and I am already seeing excellent results with my teeth in such a short period of time. In the course of me being his patient, my children have had Orthodontic procedures done under him, I have had 4 x Implants and several crowns done with him and my wife has also had her Invisalign done under him.
