Wow, thanks to Dr. Shiao, who literately saved my anniversary weekend. My wife and I traveled to NYC this long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. As we are enjoying a wonderful afternoon walk in the city, toothache started to bother me. I have a history of teeth problem, and had a regular doctor back in Toronto. I shrugged it off thinking it will go away and will deal with it when I get back to Toronto. However, the toothache started to be so unbearable that I couldn’t even sleep that night. Needless to say, romantic dinner was canceled and wife was worried and disappointed. Out of desperation, I did a search for dental practice close to our hotel. And that is when I found Dr. Shiao’s practice which is right around the corner from Grand Central. Wife called and tell them it is an emergency and Dr. Shiao took me in. When I arrived, I was very impressed by how clean and beautiful the practice is, but that is not what wows me the most. Dr. Shiao was very professional and treat me with utmost care. She did some temporary measure to ease my pain and wrote down a note so I can bring back to my own dentist in Toronto. Although knowing that I won’t be returning, she instructed the assistant to X-ray me and explain to me my problem. What a professional!! I wish my own dentist has 1/2 the heart Dr. Shiao has. Thank you Dr. Shiao, you are a true professional.

Going to any place that potentially will cause you pain is always a scary situation, but I must admit the staff at Expert Dental PC was great at making me feel comfortable and at ease. They are very professional and courteous, and the customer service they provided was above excellent. Each visit was fast and convenient, and I felt extremely satisfied with the care and service I received. The treatment coordinator Michelle made everything easy and explained all I needed to know in great detail, also the receptionist Monica made check in a breeze. I’ve had nothing but good experiences at Expert Dental. Their staff is kind, helpful with any questions you might have and easy to talk to. Offices are clean, individual rooms have TVs that you can watch while they work (if that is your type of thing) and the building itself they are located in has a great location close to many subways. But what I truly appreciate about Expert is they have every and any type of dental professional working here for you to see, so the chance of you needing to go to another office to see some specialist is slim to none. Highly recommend.

I found this office on Zocdoc because my dental insurance changed and I didn’t know where to go. There were a lot of good reviews so I decided to give it a try. Making the appointment was a breeze and I got a phone call from the office to confirm my appointment soon after. When I got to the office, I could see that there were a lot of COVID precautions taken (hand sanitizer stations, plastic coverings to divide seating area, etc)  to make me feel more at ease. The wait time was very minimal — I waited only about 5 minutes before I was seen. The dental hygenist and the dentist were also extremely friendly and didn’t try to force any procedures I didn’t want on me. They explained the risks and benefits and allowed me to make my own decisions. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve been coming to expert dental for about 5 years and have had fillings and cleanings. All of their staff and dentists are great! Have always had a great experience. Not a long wait time, very organized, extremely clean and vigilant always, but especially with COVID safety protocols. I’ve also had multiple insurance policies over the years and mine have always been accepted. Would recommend to anyone in NYC!

The staff here is super nice and very attentive. I absolutely hate going to the dentist (thank you, childhood trauma) and the dental hygienists and everyone that comes near my mouth here are always really sensitive to my scaredy-cat ways. They’re gentle and nice and just really help lower the anxiety around visits. The office is also sparkling clean and very comfortable.

I had my full mouth Veneers done at Expert Dental about a year ago. I love my new smile and the confidence it gives me, thanks for the wonderful work by Dr. Shiao and the rest of her dental team. Dr. Shiao is an excellent dentist with superior skills and bedside manners, and I can say enough nice things about Dr. Shiao and the rest of the dental team that works for her. I had my tooth extracted at Expert Dental. It is a completely painless visit. The doctors are very nice and thorough. They put me at ease for such a nerve-racking procedure. I also receive a detailed treatment plan that listed each procedure and price that needs to be done. Unlike other offices, I never know what should be my next step and how much I should be preparing for myself for my procedure. I also receive a follow up call after my procedure. It seems like they really care about their patients. I need to go back to get implant done in 4 months. I will recommend this office to anyone in a heart beat.

I do not have anything negative to say about this place. The front staff is always friendly. Rubina, the patient relation manager, is always helpful. She was able to explain every payment detail. Dr. Bagga (periodontist), is awesome. Dr. Lin (orthodontist) is skillful craftsman (lol). He truly takes pride in his work. Dr. Theresa (hygienist) is super bubbly and full of life. She makes sure that her patients are comfortable. Dr. Charms (dentist) is super knowledge on everything. Super grateful for the services here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I LOVE EXPERT DENTAL! The staff is wonderful and help meet your every dental need. This is coming from someone who is TERRIFIED of the dentist and once I had my first appointment with Expert Dental, they made me feel very comfortable and answered every one of my questions regarding my teeth. Plus their dental chairs are massage chairs and they have peach scented hot towels! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EXPERT DENTAL to first timers as well as people who seek to change their primary dentist! Dr. Lin is awesome ! I’ll be making my next appointment to clean my teeth soon!

My husband and I have been a patient for over two years now and we went in for our regular check up at Dr. Shiao’s new office last week. What a wonderful experience. Not only was getting their a breeze (one block from Grand Central), but the new office was absolutely amazing. The staff was courteous and attentive, and the dentists were professional and patient with explaining the procedures. All in all, our experience with Dr. Shiao has been great, and we will continue to recommend her to all our friends. Thank you Dr. Shiao!
