After 2 years of putting off some much needed dental work, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Desai. Last Saturday into Sunday I could not sleep because the pain was unbearable. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Desai for Sunday afternoon. YES, A SUNDAY! Devee called on Sunday around noon to confirm my appointment and when I told her I was having severe tooth pain and was fearful of a bad infection she told me to come in right away. I arrived and went straight into a chair, after my examinations I was numbed and scheduled for a root canal for the following day. Yesterday I had my procedure and so far I haven’t felt any pain. I’m so grateful for this dental office. They are all so professional and detailed in explaining everything. I would recommend this office to anyone. I, especially, anticipate going back to continue all my dental work. Thank you all!

By far the best dental office I’ve ever been to. I tried them out today by a referral from my sister. I for one have always been afraid of the dentist. So much so I would typically cry in the waiting room thinking of the worse and trust me it was the worse. But today was different! Let’s face it that going to dentist is not same as going to the park. But if you have good, loving and caring dentist you may feel the pleasant visit. I have been going to Dr. Desai for over 10 years now. She is mine and my two kids (Age 10 and 5) dentist. My kids just love to go to her. They don’t fear the word “dentist” because Dr. Desai is very friendly to them. She talks so soothingly while she is working on their teeth that my kids don’t even come to know when they are done. Even though we don’t live in Milpitas , we don’t mind the drive to her office. My older kid has gone thru orthodontics treatment with Dr. Desai and trust me when I say this that all the whole year process went so smooth because of Dr. Desai’s care. During our initial visits Dr. Desai knew my son had very little tolerance for discomfort and little pain so she always went out of her way to make sure his treatment goes smooth. My son had very small jaw and when his baby teeth fell, his permanent teeth were 3 times bigger than his baby teeth. So he only had very few teeth in his mouth. He did not have enough space in his mouth for other teeth to come in. Dr. Desai recommend mouth expander. I have to admit, when I looked at the expander, I knew my son would not be willing to have this in his mouth. Dr. Desai was so nice, she explained to my son why it was necessary to put it on and when she started the treatment , she told him step-by-step what she is going to do. Well, now year later, my son has his jaw expended. He now has room in his mouth for other teeth to come in. He eats better, he sleeps better, he doe sn’t grind his teeth anymore and his teeth are all aligned nicely. I don’t think, this whole process would have gone smoothly without Dr. Desai. My 5 year old also loves to go to Dr. Desai. She loves the little goodie she gets from dentist office and also after her teeth cleaning she loves going to treasure chest to get the toy. 🙂 I also had my Invisalign treatment done with Dr. Desai and everything went really smooth. I have now beautiful teeth and smile. Sanjay at front desk is super nice and always willing to work with me on my schedule. Dr. Desai’s staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall there is no other dentist for us besides Dr. Desai.

Went in for a broken filling and a new mouth gaurd for night time teeth grinding. One of the best things about Dr. Desai is she is amazingly gentle and never causes me any pain or discomfort. When she gives a shot to numb the tooth, she has a terrific technique where she massages the injection area while putting in the numbing agent. Plain and simple, it never hurts. Throughout the process, she pays great attention for any signs of pain and always makes sure I am comfortable. I have never had another dentist offer this type of caring and compassion. The new mouth guard she made me fits perfectly and is made from a material that is very comfortable and simple to clean. Here staff is also first class and Sanjay has saved me quite a bit of money over the years because he is so good with dealing with insurance companies. If you have been putting off going to a dentist because you are afraid of pain, bills, etc, at least give these guys a chance to take a look at your teeth for an initial consultation. Ami has been my dentist for over a year, and has shown a lot of attention and care to my specific issues. The quality of care is excellent, and every time I have worked with their dental hygienists they have been thorough and very gentle. Ami is very good about offering affordable alternatives and working within your insurance restrictions to get you the best possible care. I personally do not have an issue with them offering other services (upselling.) It is smart to do that if you are in business, and it helps make sure their clients know about all of the services available to them. If I am not interested, I am comfortable in saying “no thank you”, and they are very courteous in receiving that answer. Their high quality of care is why I use them.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Ami Desai at Johns Creek Dentistry & Orthodontics. My 2nd Dentist in 40 years retired and I have been seeking a New one. Let me save you some time…….. As I have always, had a personal and professional relationship with my medical providers, you can imagine, I was a bit reserve and even maybe a little apprehensive. From the moment I entered the front door; all I can say is I couldn’t have written a better script from my own pen. Dr. Desai has been my dentist for as long as I can remember so this review is loooong overdue!!  I’ve always known that she is an amazing dentist, but it hasn’t been until recently that I realized just how amazing she is!!!  I’ve lived most of my life without any major dental issues…until I got pregnant a couple of years ago and started grinding my teeth at night (like, really bad!).  As a result of the grinding, I chipped/cracked a couple of molars and I eventually had to get two permanent crowns.  I was so scared/anxious because I’ve never had anything more than a routine cleaning, but Dr. Desai is so kind, patient and gentle…and as much as I was dreading it, I trust her 100% and I knew she would take good care of me!  One of the things that I appreciate the most about her is that she is extremely honest and she constantly talks to me during whatever procedure she is doing at the time…she tells me what she is doing as she is doing it, how bad (or good) things are looking, and how much time is left…she is really good at talking me through everything which really puts me at ease.  If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Desai!  I am so grateful for her and I know you will be too!

Dr. Desai is a wonderful dentist, if you have really sensitive teeth like I do and have had problems with the way other dentist being too rough in cleaning your teeth then Dr. Desai will definitely be the dentist for you. My family has be going to Dr. Desai for many years now and she really cares about us, she always asks how we are all doing and to please say hi to them. Last year I started INVISALIGN and at first I was not going to do it. I have had braces twice before and it was just terrible they always hurt and I still have flashes from the pain. But once I started Invisalign it was such a difference the pain or pressure would only last a maximum of 5 days where as the braces never stopped hurting. Most of the time though it would be fine after just three days. And unlike braces where you would have had to remember to brush your teeth, with Invisalign you have to brush and floss after every meal witch helped my gums and even made my teeth less sensitive to cleanings. Plus the add bonus of being able to just take them off made it so much more bearable. So if you are thinking about getting braces or you need to get them really consider going with Invisalign, it was a much better option for me.

Words cannot describe how grateful we feel to have met Dr. Desai. She is our first dentist in Bay Area and we could not find better dentist than her. We had an extremely delicate orthodontics case with severe deep bite. Our first and uttermost request was to not do any extraction. She understood the background very well and crafted the treatment accordingly. Dr. Desai engineered our case with a lot of care and patience for 2+ years. She fulfilled all our requests and helped us even during non-working hours when needed. During every appointment, she continuously checks if we are doing okay, which is very comforting. After every critical treatment, we get a follow-up call to make sure that everything is fine. Also, every staff member at her clinic is very professional and helpful. She is detailed, thorough and does her job with a lot of Passion. And that makes her BEST at what she does.

Dr. Ami Desai is a dentist, who received her dental degree from Augusta University. She currently practices at Family Dentistry & Orthodontics conveniently located in Suwanee, GA. She treats a host of conditions including, teeth whitening, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth problems, retainer installations, and root canals. She is also an active member of the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Desai furthers her knowledge through continuing education courses and meets regularly with Spears Dental Study Club. She also believes in giving back to under-served communities and has provided mission work in Guatemala and Belize. She also volunteers locally with Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Atlanta, and at various free dental clinic days throughout the year. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, yoga, fitness activities, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Desai takes the time to talk to each patient, helping them understand their dental options and discussing treatment plans that are right for them. She strives to ensure that all of her patients have their dental needs fulfilled.
