Absolutely fantastic experience! I had a great dentist back in Europe my entire life so was a little bit anxious when i moved to LA to try a new one. A piece of composite felt off my tooth so it was a bit of an emergency. They were able to schedule me in immediately for the next morning even as a new patient! Everyone was super professional, efficient and so sweet am actually looking forward to going back to finish my treatment. Thank you for an amazing experience! I was worried about how the re-treatment of my old root canal would go but your team made me at ease from the first phone call to the last visit. Although it made a dent on my credit card, it was well worth it since it was urgent and I didn’t have insurance. The view was also amazing! The atmosphere in the rooms was relaxed and quiet. Dr. Kalantari explained the process to me clearly as much as I wanted to know. That helped me calm down, along with the localized anesthesia. Getting the right shade for the new crown was also easy. The tooth turned out great! Your crown guy is really an expert! I totally recommend this place.

I originally found Hollywood Dental through 1-800-Dentist and had no idea what to expect but it was close to my home. Now I have such a high caliber of service to compare to that I may never find a dental office in NY (where I now live) that comes anywhere close to the exceptional quality I received from Dr. Kalantari and her amazing team. Beautiful state of the art office, environmentally friendly services, super sweet and very personable staff… and great dentistry to boot. I will miss my favorite dental hot-spot!!! I came here to schedule an emergency appointment for my boyfriend who was experiencing severe pain and discomfort from a decayed cavity. We are from out of state, with little resources and on top of it, the dentist is never a super comforting experience, however every single individual in this office here worked together and with us to make us feel safe and that options are available. We ended up getting referred to a oral surgeon (for heavier anesthesia) for extraction but we will definitely be back for our general dental care. Prices for the consultation/x-ray were affordable and realistic. We left feeling emotionally relieved, and the pain/swelling decreased greatly by the end of the visit due to immediate medication for the swelling/pain, and most importantly with more knowledge. Everyone was so nice and genuinely caring. My boyfriend is happy and in less pain. Will be back!

Where do i start?? I was terrified of dentists all my life and that changed the day I walked into Dr. Kalantari’s office! When you get there you’re greeted by the warmest receptionist Nina, who will also help you with anything and everything you need! Patricia, Jose and Lilly will go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and fully taken care of, they’re outstanding! Shakē is the most amazing hygienist you could ask for, she’s famous and rightfully so! I could not go anywhere else EVER for a cleaning, once you try Shakē you never go back! After she performed a deep cleaning on me she was so caring she called me in the evening to check up on me. I LOVE HER! Dr. Kalantari, there’s a before and after you, before I was so afraid to visit the dentist, it always hurt and it felt so intrusive. Can’t remember when the first procedure was but I didn’t feel a thing! You were so gentle that I could not believe it was real, I did not complained once considering I’m the biggest whiner! FHDC was the dental office I chose after moving here 14 years ago, I found some good reviews and it was close to where I live. But today I feel it’s time to write a much deserved review after all of my years going here. I’ve always had a good experience, from the free valet parking, super clean rock n roll building, gorgeous views, friendly Nina at the front desk, Shake’ who has been cleaning my teeth every single time I’ve been going; there is a great sense of consistency and care here. Last week I had to go in to take care of an old filling and fill a cavity. And I found myself talking with the Dr. Kalantari and wonderful Jose- her friendly tech assistant, and mentioned how impressed I am when ever I get the Novocain shot that I NEVER ever feel it -ever. Her technique is just superb, you actually are waiting for it to hurt and she’s already done. I’m always amazed, as I didn’t have the best experience when I was a kid. And I thought- I need to share this fantastic experience- this is why people don’t like to go into the dentist and let me tell you there is no reason to fear. There is never any pain. and she works so quickly, I’m in and out of there in under an hour. I highly recommend Famous Hollywood Dental Care, they do care.

I’ve been to 3 different (very highly rated on Yelp) dentists in the last month. I didn’t like the first 2 for various reasons. I loved Famous Hollywood. Dr. Kalantari, Jose and the rest of the staff were top notch. I was there for a second opinion and they were very thorough and informative without being patronizing or alarmist. I found Famous Hollywood Dental Care when I was searching for a place to get dental care near where I work on Sunset Blvd. Boy, I’m glad on found this office. It’s on the 10th floor with amazing views from all of the treatment rooms. The first day I walked in to make an appointment, I noticed that EVERYBODY in the office was cheerful and friendly. That told me I might be in the right place. I hadn’t been to a dentist for treatment in over 10 years but I had a wedding to attend in 3 weeks and I had bad erosion of my two front upper teeth that made me embarrassed to smile. My wife wasn’t so happy about my appearance either. Well, from the dentist’s viewpoint, the first priority is health. I got X-rays and an evaluation on my first appointment. My teeth and gums REALLY needed cleaning and treatment. We worked out how to do that AND get an immediate solution to the smile / appearance problem. The staff works great as a team and I am going to the wedding this Friday with a radiant smile! When I got my “new teeth” today, everybody in the office came in to look and cheer. Awesome!

My wife switched from our dentist in Santa Monica to Famous Hollywood Dental Care several years ago, and ever since has been hassling me to switch as well. Well she was correct! I decided to get a second opinion on some cosmetic work I wanted done. Dr. Kalantari explained all the options available that were never discussed by my previous dentist. My dentist wanted to simply shave down all of my teeth and slap 20 veneers on them. Dr. Kalantari explained I didn’t need more than 10 veneers to accomplish what I wanted done! She’s amazing! Imagine that, saving money and getting a perfect smile. She explained that because I hadn’t smiled fully for years, she would get my teeth prepared, put some temporaries on, let my smile develop, and then put on the veneers! She said otherwise I wouldn’t truly see the potential of my new smile! That’s exactly what happened! The temporaries looked great…gave my smile a chance to change into a full smile…and then put on the permanent veneers! The temporaries looked so perfect that I was hesitant to change them and get the real teeth! Throughout the entire procedure I didn’t feel a thing. Never needed sedation, gas or anything. I didn’t even feel the numbing needle! She even guarantees her work for five years! I’ve never had a dentist guaruntee anything! Thank you Dr. Kalantari and the Famous Hollywood Dental Care Team. Everyone from the front desk, to her assistance, and her hygienist are fab fab fabulous – I’ve never received such a thorough teeth cleaning before! This review is long overdue! It’s been several months and I still cannot believe the difference in my smile!

The dental chair has a massage in it which relaxes you while the work is being done. I’ve been having preventative dental work and it’s been 100% painless (even the novocaine). No one likes going to dentist, at least…I hope most sane people don’t enjoy it. This office, on the other hand, is great. I was able to switch from my dentist in my hometown to my new dentist here in Hollywood with a simple call. Claudia was incredibly helpful, not only in getting me into their office for an appointment (which was super quick) but also with insurance, referrals, etc. The entire staff and team upon arrival was knowledgable, thoroughly explained everything and very friendly. They welcomed me to their practice and I felt right at home. Dr. Kalantari is warm and comforting as a dentist. Especially when she has to bear the bad news that you have to get 5 fillings. I just had mine filled today and can actually say…it wasn’t a horrific experience. In fact, it was no sweat. I’ve never been able to say that about a dentist before. Here it is just a few hours after and besides a little sore jaw, I feel normal. I highly recommend this office to anyone searching for a fantastic dentist office. They also validate parking. I went threw about 10 bad dental offices before I found this place! This place worked with my insurance, and worked with me when my insurance ran out, they even treated me and let me go on a payment plan when I couldn’t pay for the work but I really needed it. It doesn’t t get better than this. The staff is so caring and they all are so nice and do a great job. AND their dental office chairs have a soothing massage button so you feel so relaxed while getting your teeth cleaned. Also a great view!! I recommend this place for all your dental needs! SO NICE!

I’ve been going to Hollywood Dental Care for decades. This is a dental practice that considers the whole person, and they always make me feel welcome and at ease. Dr. Kalantari is personable and caring while being the consummate professional, up to date with the latest treatments, and I appreciate that the entire office team seem to enjoy their work and working with one another – communication is excellent so that everyone is aware of any special needs or pending issues. I’d give them more than five stars if that were an option except that due to the high level of service and quality personnel, even though their rates are a bit more than the average dental office, commensurate with the superior staff and facilities. Also, when I had some major and costly procedures they were willing to be flexible and work with me on a payment plan. If you are wary of going to the dentist because of bad or painful experiences in the past, this is the place to go because they will listen to your concerns and do everything possible to make you comfortable so you will want to come back and maintain your dental health.

I am so glad I found this dentist! No drama no Pain and family atmosphere in middle off Hollywood. Dr. Kalientari is not just a dentist she’s an artist- took years off my face with her veneer technique/design. She didn’t just shove a rack of Denture looking veneers into my mouth. The color and shape was adjusted to best fit my face. Sorry to ramble LOL but i really love this place! The tooth hygiene lady is hilarious and said to me “Only floss the ones you want to keep” lol it sounded like a line she used regularly but she delivers it well.. My teeth were like an excavated fossil and are gorgeous now.

From Dr. Kalantari to the hygenists– this office is world-class. I am a 90210 doctors only girl, but Dr. K is astutely trained, patient and artful. I have had several issues including crowns, TMJ issues, and more. Never felt pain, always premium service and the offices are A-List. Many of my particular friends have been referred to this practice and today was the end all be all when the Dr. used a state of the art system for a cracked tooth- easy, cool and no pain. I’m a total crazy diva when it comes to docs and dentists, this dentist is the top of the list.

I very much enjoyed my experience with this dentist, which is strange to say about a trip to the dentist. I was stricken with a terrible infection in my wisdom tooth, and had to make a late night appointment with FHDC and they called me back early the next morning to set up an asap appointment. They treated me well and even had a messaging chair in the examination room. I was seen on time, and out in less than an hour with a prescription, and a thorough exam, with x-rays. They called in my prescription to my pharmacy of choice for me, and I felt like I got what I needed at a fair price for top services. Will be coming back, when I need a cleaning soon.

I’d been putting off finding a dentist in Hollywood, because it seemed so difficult to find a good one and expensive once you do. Then I cracked a tooth and thought I’d better get it checked out. Found Dr. Kalantari and Hollywood Dental Care on Yelp and am so glad I did. They were able to schedule my appointment within 24 hours and open real early, so I was able to drop by at 7am, meaning it didn’t interfere with my work day. They also gave me a quote on the phone which was pretty much what I paid for my visit. Despite the early hour all the staff made a point of saying hello and welcoming me to the practice as they passed by. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The view from the hygienist’s chair was of the Hollywood Hills, Sunset Boulevard and out to the ocean. My hygienist was Shake Baghdasarian, again she was friendly, put me totally at ease, performed her work efficiently without causing me any discomfort and kept checking in to make sure I knew what was going on. The dental assistant Jose Saucedo was also there to assist and guide me through my visit with fun banter. Great communication and great work all round. By the time I reached Dr. Kalantari, I’d had my teeth cleaned, x-rays taken and detailed notes taken on the state of my teeth. Dr. Kalantari was also friendly and efficient. Reassured me about my chipped tooth and polished the edges of it so it no longer feels jagged. I appreciated that she didn’t try to sell me on unnecessary extra work. This was a really great experience all round. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

I moved here from Colorado 8 years ago and needed a new dentist. My whole life, I have never looked forward to visiting the dentist, until I met the amazing staff of Famous Hollywood Dental Care. The expertise and skill of each and every team member is unmatched. Every time I visit, I feel welcome and we always end up laughing about something:):) All that on top of the dreamlike view of Hollywood from each room makes this place the Mercedes-Benz of Dental offices. A year and a half ago I started the invisalign treatment with Famous Hollywood Dental Care. I have a completely new smile and can honestly say it has been life changing. I used to be very self conscious about my teeth, and wouldn’t smile fully or would cover my mouth when I laughed. Now, I am completely confident smiling to everyone, and I can’t believe how many complements I get on my teeth. The more you smile and laugh, the happier you and the people around you are. I HIGHLY recommend the invisalign treatment with this caring and expert staff if you are at all self conscious about your teeth. Jose and Dr. Kalantari were great! I went in worried about a dark line around an old filling that I had. They took x rays and let me know that I caught the problem just in time to put a crown on the tooth and hopefully avoid having to get a root canal. Although it was more than I expected I would have to get done, I can tell they really cared about me knowing all of my options and making the decision that I felt was financially and practically best. So far everything has gone really smoothly and I’m looking forward to a smooth healing process.

I wish I could give 6 stars but the rating only goes up to 5! I’ve had a LONG history of fear and anxiety when going for any kind of dental treatment. This resulted in not having any kind of dental checkup in over 8 years. When I went to Dr Kalantari the entire experience was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Everybody at the office treats you with great kindness and respect. Today I went in for a long overdue root canal and to be fitted with a new crown. The process took a few hours and I can honestly say that it was one of the easiest and most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a long time. Shopping at Ralphs during rush hour is more stressful ! It’s been 4 or 5 hours since I left the office and I’ve gone grocery shopping and taken care of some other chores and feel like I’ve had nothing done. With previous dentists, even a filling would have me feeling wiped out for the day. So…if you are stressed or anxious about seeing a dentist – this is the place for you. You will feel calmer and more relaxed than you could ever imagine. If you want to be treated with great kindness and patience – this is the place for you. Also don’t forget – you’re getting top class high-quality dental work on top of the wonderful atmosphere. I can’t praise Dr Kalantari and her staff enough. I have more work to get done and I’m actually looking forward to having it taken care of. These are words I never thought I’d be writing about a dentist visit !!

My bf told me to call another place, because picking the first place seems strange, but after a horrible second call I immediately ran over to FHD and felt a huge wave of relief instantly. I called this morning with a dental emergency and was seen 45 min later. I have been to 6 dentists in 6 different cities over the past 10 years, and Dr. Kalantari and her staff have been by far the absolute best all around. I just had my second visit to Famous Hollywood Dental Care. What makes the office so great starts with the booking process – everyone is very friendly, and careful to explain your options to make sure you make the choice that is both most economical and best for your health. For example, I had recently moved from Boston and was encouraged to order X-rays my previous dentist had on file rather than paying for a new set I didn’t need yet. You receive friendly reminders a few days in advance of your appointment via text message and email that you can respond to automatically – very convenient! I had to change an appointment and when rescheduling for a different day, was asked if I was okay with having a different hygienist vs. my last appointment. I didn’t mind at all since I knew everyone at the office was great, but was happy that they asked me about this. Upon arriving at the office, I received a wonderful greeting and was very pleased with how well-designed the office was, as well as its beautiful views of the Hollywood Hills. Every single person who worked there was very kind, friendly, and courteous, and made me feel like a welcomed, valuable customer. You also get free parking! I’ve been very happy with the quality of the dentistry as well – every time you enter / leave the office you will feel great about your decision and your teeth will thank you too!

I found Hollywood Dental through my insurance carrier after I fought a losing battle with an aching tooth. Did I mention that I was TERRIFIED of the Dentist??? The receptionist who answered my call was sweet, warm and caring once I explained how afraid I was. She immediately put me at ease, well as much ease as one could feel upon setting up a dentist appointment. Upon entering their office and meeting their staff I was even more impressed with the personal treatment they gave everyone. The hygienist and dentist were both versed in my phobia and took their time to make me feel comfortable. There were no high pressure sales to get me purchase other treatments (i.e. teeth whitening). They explained everything in detail of what they were going to do and what would need to be done in the future – a crown for my cracked tooth. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys to anyone, especially if you are afraid to go to the dentist even for a simple cleaning.

This place is the bomb…I started going to hollywood dental after I first moved to LA. Hadn’t been to a dentist in seven years. I called around different places and a lot of them were kind of shady, and didnt really seem to care whether they got my business or not. I needed a LOT of work done. I am in the process of having my teeth straightened and I’ve also had a lot of other work done. I have spent a lot of money here and I would not give them anything if they weren’t worth it. My PPO insurance covers most of the work I’ve done and has reimbursed me for all the covered expenses. I’m very very happy with this place, they have a very nice clean clinic, what appears to me as modern tools /appliances, and their staff is very friendly.. i would recommend Kalantari’s clinic to anyone who is dentist shopping.
