I, like many, feel very uncomfortable going to the dentist. I’ve actually never had a good experience at the dentist. Upshaw Dental completely changed that. Though I am still not completely at ease in the dentist’s chair, I don’t mind going to my appointments anymore. The front staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and both Dr. Ferrara and the hygienist were amazing. I only have one complaint – while the hygienist was putting in a sealant for me, she accidentally nicked my lip with the drill. Even numbed, I felt it hurt a bit and on my way out I noticed my lip was swollen. The hygienist never said anything about it or asked if I was okay. After the numbness wore off, I discovered that my lip had been cut pretty bad and I had a scab on my lip for the next week.

I see Susana and Dr. Ferrara. Both are fantastic! I had some sealants that needed repairing when I first went to the office. In the past, I have had a hard time getting an impromptu appointment with other offices but not here! They got me an appointment within the same week. The staff in the office are always smiling and kind, especially the front desk staff! I enjoy each visit and would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist they can trust!

My husband has the WORST dentist phobia, and this office has been fantastic in understanding and caring for him. I have never seen the high quality service in a dentist before dealing with Upshaw Dental and their staff, especially Dr. Ferrara! I can’t imagine going anywhere else after coming here!

Dr Leslie Ferrara and her Team of Professionals continue to raise the bar – this time during my son’s multiple visits to her Dental Practice for cavity treatment. My son was stiff as a board (always fearful in the dentist’s chair) and in tears when Dr F came to me in the waiting room. Her recommendation to use nitrous/laughing gas and her cool as a Cucumber demeanor with my son was the difference between extensive drama and a happy 13/year old! She and her Staff know how to take care of patients!!

Dr. Ferrara is the best! She is trustworthy and does excellent work! I trust her and her team completely. She is kind and compassionate which makes you feel comfortable. She makes you want to go to the dentist! The team she works with is also great, I go for my cleaning during my lunch hour without missing any work. The front desk staff especially Anna are helpful and kind. I never wait long for an appointment or in the waiting room.

I’ve had MANY negative experiences at other dentist offices, in multiple states I’ve lived in, and I have never been able to fully trust a dentist until I met Dr Ferrara. She is the BEST, her quality of work is phenomenal, and I highly recommend her! I’ve loved every experience I’ve had from day one, and did I mention the staff is just as amazing! Always greeted with a smile, very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! Hands down the best Dentist office around.

My husband and I have been coming to Ferrara Dental (previously Upshaw’s office) for years and each visit is always very pleasant. We have been treated by both doctors, and probably by each dental assistant, and not to forget our cheerful Hygienist Kesha. Each and every one of them remembers our personal stories and even follow up on events we shared at a previous visit, to see how they ended up turning out. Makes each visit feel cozy and more like visiting a friend ( that likes to look into your mouth). We would recommend you ladies to anyone! Only negative thing is obviously parking in downtown, but on the other side you have a nice view of the Bay from the 14th floor while you sit in your dental chair. Thumbs up to all of you!

I have regained my smile thanks to Dr. Upshaw and Dr. Ferrara. The Doctors and the staff at this office are wonderful. They always make me feel welcome. Appointments are generally on time. The workmanship is superior. A caring, comfortable place to keep your oral health at its best.

The entire staff, from the receptionist to the techs and the doctors, everyone is terrific! They are friendly, thorough, they treat the dentist phobics with the gentle care they need and they are always willing to do whatever they can to satisfy your needs. I’ve been going to them for years and will miss them and their excellent care as I move to another state. Best of all to Ferrara Dental!!!!

Excellent use of digital dental technology and social media for patient engagement. My dentist conducted a very thorough review of my current status and her rationale for a recommended treatment plan. 5 stars warranted.
