During Covid-9 I had an infection on both sides of my jaw, but was trying to wait it out until First Street Dental was officially open. Finally, I thought if I waited any longer, it could become serious and so I called. I was able to see a dentist that afternoon who took some x-rays, diagnosed the problem immediately, showed me it on the x-rays, told me what to do about it and now I have peace of mind and no pain. First Street Dental is like family. They really look after you.

This office has brand new dentists and I just had my first cleaning, x-rays and exam by Dr Katina Magdos, she did an exceptional job with the cleaning and took the time to listen to me and solid future advice about a few of my crowns and gum health. She is HONEST and that is what I look for in a dentist not one who is in it for the money. If you are looking for a new dentist this is the office to go to!

The people in this office are great. My entire life I have always dreaded my Doctor appointments, dental appointments, etc… because they are always so sterile, but this office was a breathe of fresh air. They are real people that like what they do and talk to you like you are a real person and not just a number. I have never laughed so hard at an appointment. I need a lot of stuff and it is going to cost me a pretty penny, but they accept payments because I am not rich. I have already told my parents to go see them and I will tell anyone that asked me about a dentist where to go!!!

Our family has tried several dentists in Simi Valley. By far, Dr. Setarah and this office stand out. The front office staff are helpful with scheduling and payments. This office is connected with others in the area (Smile Generation on Tapo Cyn, East Oaks Dental on Moorpark Rd), with Dr. Setarah and the oral surgeon splitting their time — this gave us choices when we needed to schedule appointments on particular days of the week. We also really like the digital x-rays (very modern) and other services. It feels like a fun, relaxed environment when you go there, which is saying something for a dental office.

I absolutely love 1st street dental. Dr Klein and his assistant Katherine were amazing. My son usually has issues at the dental office with feeling at ease. He had 3 different sessions and every time they made my son feel extremely comfortable. Katherine knew how to comfort him when he got uncomfortable and Dr Klien knew how to cheer him up with his humor. I will defiantly come back here for my kids future appointments. My son is very happy to be able to eat comfortable after the work was done. They did an amazing job on his teeth.

I waited until after my 4th or 5th visit before writing my review to see if the “ugly monster” some of the negative reviews referred to would show itself.  Unfortunately I had quite a bit of work to be done including two root canals, an inlay and an extraction.  So I have had more than enough time to make an educated review, not some knee jerk reaction to a one time visit.  To start, the office staff is very friendly and professional.  My appointments were on time, scheduled around my needs and they are flexible if “life” happens.  It only gets better when you meet Dr. Sahar.  SHE IS AMAZING!  She makes you feel comfortable right away and she is very personable.  She doesn’t pretend to care about you, she really does care and I have never seen anyone so excited about teeth!  She elevates everyone around her.  That is the icing on the cake… for the actual cake… she is EXCEPTIONAL at her craft.  She let me know everything that was going on and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way.  All of my procedures were as painless as possible.  Honestly, hardly felt a thing.  She is a perfectionist and will go out of her way to make sure you are getting the best solution for your issue.  I am very pleased with her work.  Dr. Sahar’s assistants Joe and Imalda (I’m sure I butchered her name… sorry) are top of the line as well.  A+++ all around!  Also, I was provided with options every step of the way for treatment as well as payment.  I knew all the costs, timeframes and procedures up front before anything was done.  I will and have been recommending this dental group to everyone.

The short version: I love them! Why? Well… First of all they’re ALWAYS willing to work with you financially. Second of all they’re super sweet, friendly and good at what they do. My doctor, Dr. Sahar, is the sweetest, funniest and coolest person and she actually gives a s*** about you! So if you’re looking for a dentist, this is the place to go!

I have only had one dentist ever work on my teeth, and that was because it was the family dentist. Because of him seeing the dentist was always a nightmare. Recently, my friend that has been extremely happy with Dr. Sahar referred me to her. I inquired and did some research and saw that she graduated from USC Dental School. I decided to schedule an appointment and do an exam with x-rays. Their equipment was state of the art. They put a camera in my mouth, and with the TV next to me, I was able to see each individual tooth. My previous dentist was old-school, and didn’t have the vital tools that are available at First Street Dental Group. After seeing my teeth and the work that I needed RE-done, I can say – don’t learn the hard way and always research the family doctor or dentists credentials. I saw him for years out of respect, and now I am paying the price, I was better off in Mexico. The staff at First Street Dental was very welcoming, and also accommodating. I was able to pay half my dues and arrange a payment plan for the next six months, and this service didn’t even require a credit check! This was big for me. My teeth aren’t aching anymore, all thanks to Dr. Sahar. She also has an assistant “Joe” he is pretty awesome too, the dynamic DUO. . I can assure you that your initial visit with Dr. Sahar will turn out to a long term investment. I finally found a new Dentist, Woohoo!!

Had such a wonderful visit with my kids. I have three kids two that are very nervous about going to the Dentist. They took great care of my kids and made them feel right at home. Got x rays on all the kids with no problem. They has never happened before. They did not try to up sale me on anything. The office staff was very friendly and the dentist was AWESOME. My kids are excited to go back in 6 months. Thank you so much First Street Dental and Orthodontics for making my kids like the dentist.

I have been to a lot of dentists unfortunately and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. You are greeted warmly by a professional and friendly staff: they check you in, confirm the reason for your appointment (which is great because I’ve been to offices where they’re no sure why you’re even there). They serve gourmet coffee from a Keurig (whoo hoo!) while you wait and there’s an area for the children to play. The equipment was awesome: high tech and shows you visuals so you can see what the Doctor sees. The Doctors are highly professional in diagnosing your dental issues and explaining what may have led to it, as well as what can prevent further occurrences. David, the Office Manager, came in to answer the follow up questions I had regarding my diagnosis. He was patient and empathetic: he helped me work out a payment plan that fit my financial situation. David asked what I wanted and explained the options while making recommendations. I have never had a manager take the time to talk to me and actually explain everything. He made me feel comfortable with the office and all the doctors. I have referred all my friends and family to this office. Keep up the great work First Street Dental!

I saw Dr.Barker. Not only was he sympathetic with great bedside manner, he also provided a clear treatment (with cost) trajectory and managed my expectations. He extended his reach beyond and messaged fellow professionals for advice or support concerning my unique case and I felt comforted, taken care of, educated, and supported in a circle/continuum of care. I left spreading the news to colleagues at Seafair and friends.

I don’t like going to the dentist but this place is great. I’m really happy with the service, my check ups are usually very quick, & everyone is so nice. The ladies in the front are sweet and seem to be on top of everything as well. Western Dental is nothing compared to this place, I’m so glad I made the switch. If you’re a first timer, I guarantee you will love First Street Dental

My daughter has been terrified of every dental office we’ve visited so far. Our insurance won’t cover us to go to a pediatric dentist so we’ve been going to various family practices. It’s been a nightmare. We found finally found this place and had to pay out of pocket (insurance fault, not First Street Dental). But when we came here, everyone from the receptionist, to the dental hygenist, to the dentist were all amazing with my 9 year old and put her at ease. I don’t think I have ever laughed so much for any dental visit I’ve ever gone to. And I’ll never forget that in the middle of working in my kids teeth the dentist took a moment to watch her favorite scene with her from Captain Underpants, the farting choir scene. I never would have thought that my daughter would be laughing heartily in the midst of having her teeth drilled! But they moved quickly and seemlessly, doing an excellent job taking care of her teeth, her nerves, and also taking a moment to teach her about her teeth in terms she could understand. And also working with me to make the dental payment affordable since my insurance won’t help at all. Thank you first Street Dental. You are worth every penny!!

I love it here! Dr. Klein is amazing with my kids and does an excellent job. His assistant Katherine is seriously the BEST! Both of my girls were fairly nervous getting fillings for the first time. She was so sweet with them. The office allowed plenty of time for them to get settled and relaxed. I recently went in myself and saw the new adult dentist that took over this office. She was so kind and offered a second opinion on work that a different dentist quoted me. She offered me thorough explanations and a very reasonable plan for treatment. Thank you again!

My daughter had to get a cavity filled for the first time. She was very nervous about the whole process. The staff here did a wonderful job at explaining the whole process. They were playful and kind with my daughter. Catherine took incredible care of my daughter. She explained all the tools and what she could expect with getting her cavity filled. I was very impressed with Dr Klein as well. It’s evident he is very gifted working with kids. I’m was a wonderful experience at this office.

I was referred by another office for my 3 year old daughter to see Dr. Klein. I was kinda upset already because my daughter is in pain and she had a few cavities to be filled. I’m already dreading as to how much it is going to cost.. I called them and first phone impression is first window right, she was phenomenal. She wanted to schedule my daughter right away because she was in pain she also help me out with my payment plan for my daughter’s treatment, in order for me to take care of it sooner than later. Like i said she’s was phenomenal. Dr. Klein, I’m so glad you exist…I want to thank you for the bottom of my heart, for taking care of my daughter, she’s not afraid to go to the dentist, like i thought she would be like the first office. You and your staff are wonderful, warm, very caring. I cannot thank you enough…

First time at this office with my husband. He  had to get a lot of work done. I was very amazed at the number of staff that are there to help with all your dentistry needs. They have very clean professional people there that helped make my husband feel as comfortable as possible. Dr Ramina I believe was her name seems very smart and super friendly she looks waaaay to young to be a dentist  haha ..im use to seeing old guys not young girls that look 25!  but I instantly liked her. And the  staff that helped her to. There are so many there if you need an x-ray kids or adults they are there .  If you need sedation he is there by the way he seemed like a nice guy to 🙂 if you need a crown that guys there he was nice to if you need a deep cleaning she is there!! I’m  talking everyone is there right were you need them when you need them. Also what we really liked was the way they explained what they were doing and gave us options and let us decide I cant stand those dentist that push what they want to do or make you feel bad about the decision you want to make because this option in there eyes is better…so I really liked that to. The manager of the office  was a nice lady  to she seems happy and full of life and fills the room with love. I really am grateful to the staff for treating us great and having patience with  us  I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for good treatment and actually laugh while visiting the dentist. And they take a lot of different insurances to which was  a bonus on top of everything it  saved us a tooooon of cash…so I defiantly will be doing my dental here and think you should to.

Dr. Setareh is one of the best and professional dentists ever. She explains procedures and answer questions very professionally. Me and my family have been going to her office for more than 12 years and every time I go there and I see her kind face I get a very good feeling that I am taking care of. She is so trustable and is such an honest doctor. She tells you what needs to be done and is not trying to rip you off like other dentists that I have been to before! Dr. Setareh is one of the best and professional dentists ever. She explains procedures and answer questions very professionally. Me and my family have been going to her office for more than 12 years and every time I go there and I see her kind face I get a very good feeling that I am taking care of. She is so trustable and is such an honest doctor. She tells you what needs to be done and is not trying to rip you off like other dentists that I have been to before! I just took my five year old son in for his first dental appointment and could not have been more pleased. The office is clean and neat. The “play” room is nicely equipped and immediately put my son at ease. The staff could not have been kinder or more patient. They all had a pleasant and gentle approach and made my son comfortable, answering his many questions and concerns. The hygienist was great, explaining what she was doing as she did it, showing him the instruments and how they worked. Dr. Klein was wonderful. His bedside manor was perfect for my son. He was engaging and answered my son’s questions as well as mine. I was very impressed with everyone I interacted with and would recommend First Street Dental Group and Dr. Klein to anyone.
