I came into the Silicon Valley for a short visit not knowing that I needed not one but two crowns. After a short first appointment with Dr. Yu I had my second appointment very soon after. Workup started at 2 pm and three hours later I walked out pain free with two new crowns and when I mean not only pain free but with a perfect fitting set of crowns, good to go. All staff were on spot for an excellent dental procedure. One week after flying back to Tampa,Fl all is still well. THANK YOU DR. YU and STAFF !

I recently moved to the area and found Dr. Yu via Opencare. I am so glad I found his practice. I have pretty bad dental anxiety and was very nervous for my first visit, as I knew I would have a lot of work to do. I also cried my first visit because I was so nervous. Dr. Yu and his staff were SO kind and understanding. Dr. Yu is very thorough and does quality work. I feel so fortunate I found this group. Also, Kaila is so incredibly kind, what a gem of a human being. We need more people like her in the world. Thank you!

Dr Yu is an exceptional Dentist! Spent all day in the dentist office getting a crown and some additional teeth work done. Dr. Yu and his staff always treat you like a VIP. Dr. Yu and Erika took exceptional care of me during my visit.  I left the dentist office completely satisfied with the results. I’m thrilled at Dr. Yu’s suggestions that allow me to have great looking healthy teeth. I would recommend Dr. Yu’s Dentist Office to anyone.

I’ve had many dentists over the years but Dr. Yu is the best. He came up with treatments and a plan that ultimately gave me with the best smile I’ve ever had, period. The best part is that he takes pictures and shows you exactly what’s going on with your teeth, then discusses what should be done, and provides a roadmap to get there. Amazing. Plus, he can make crowns right there in the office, so none of that temporary-crown-and-come-back-in-two-weeks nonsense. My highest recommendation.

This was my first visit to Forest Family Dentistry, so here are my main takeaways: *Everyone was so nice and welcoming here at this office! *Dr. Yu was very patient and took his time ensuring that all of my questions were answered, and that I was thoroughly informed of all the treatments I’d need or what teeth-care habits I’d need to adjust at home. *My teeth cleaning (I have not had one in about 8 years) was fairly comfortable and QUICK! I am someone who generally hates this part of a dentist visit, so that’s a HUGE plus for me. *The office itself was so nice looking and extremely clean and organized. *The very sweet receptionist (I suck for not remembering her name) was very helpful and informative in scheduling my next visits, as well as breaking down the costs for the treatments I will be receiving. And she’s the sweetest. Did I mention that!? So far I’m feeling very comfortable and happy with my choice to visit Forest Family Dentistry for my oral health.

I went in for my semi-annual check up and cleaning yesterday June 23, and it was great. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the current Covid situation, but they were very thorough in their screening process and the office was re-modeled to provide a more safe environment.  I really felt safe. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly that it makes going to the dentist and enjoyable experience.

I’ve had tons of other dentists over the years, but Dr Yu and his staff (Jessica, Pauline, Auntie, etc) are the best! Dr Yu has a great bedside manner and looks at all dental procedures with a cosmetic eye. I recently had a root canal done at their office. I couldn’t feel anything and actually tried not to laugh during the procedure because something funny came on the TV. (Yes, there’s cable TVs in all the rooms that can be moved over the dental chair.) Their office also makes crowns for back teeth onsite!

Dr J.Yu is competent, knowledgeable. ,pleasant and gentle professional.He keeps patient with minimum discomfort with explanation about procedure and excellent bedside manners. Staff is caring with best customer and professional skills.I am a new patient and I am glad that I found them.Please keep up and maintain present care. Thank you.

I’ve seen MANY dentists in my life only because we have moved around a lot. Dr. Yu is the most thorough out of all the dentists I’ve seen. Most other dentists just do their work and you’re done. Dr. Yu took the time to ask me what I wanted. I was looking for a periodontist for a long while because I needed to get a crown lengthening done. Dr. Yu not only does that, but he also specializes in cosmetic procedures. He performed a laser gum treatment on me, which is so much better than the traditional scalpel work. I healed faster from the laser treatment. Additionally, I’ve had regular fillings done and he is amazing. After he was done, he took the time to show me how my teeth improved and looked better. I highly recommend this office for your regular dental care and cosmetic needs!

Today was our first visit to our new dentist. Before choosing our new dentist we researched for months looking for the right fit. It felt so right after speaking with Jessica over the phone after scheduling our appointments. I could hear in her voice that she sincerely cared about the story I had shared about our past dentist. You would think she would try and hurry me off the phone because she has a lot of other work waiting for her but she didn’t. She listened and gave 120% customer service which is very difficult to find these days. When I shared this information with my wife she mentioned let’s see when we actually get there. Don’t always be so sold over the phone. Today was our visit. Jessica was exactly how I remembered her over the phone.  We filled our new patient paperwork and then introduced to Paleen Dr. Yu and Terri. When I met Terri I felt so comfortable. She was honestly a pro at what she had going on. I absolutely loved how sincere and honest she was. I definitely want Terri to work in my mouth next time. She’s gentle and listened to me when I told her I felt sensitivity. I was moved to another room so that Dr. Yu could then take a look. Dr. Yu was very thorough and kind. He was just as I read when doing research. I enjoy him giving me detail information about himself and his practice and my oral health. I also got the chance to meet Paleen. She was also a delight. She made me feel comfortable and just came in to introduce herself which was absolutely very professional. I was so very pleased with our visit today. What really topped it off was when we went back to see Jessica and all the billing information was broken down. It was very organized and made us see clear as to what we pay and what insurance covers. Wonderful place! Wonderful people!

Dr. Yu is meticulous and an artisan in his work. He treats me with respect and values my opinion and does his best to meet every request and dental needs. He takes his time and every effort to realize perfection. I am very satisfied with my dental works. Thank you Dr. Yu, glad to have met you to do the job right this time for me. Been to see other dentist but not as skilled. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Yu is absolutely wonderful! I have very sensitive teeth, and he is always so gentle and accommodating about that. He is also a very thorough dentist, who does excellent, meticulous work and takes the time to explain what he sees and why. His staff are wonderful as well–always kind and welcoming. My daughter and I both go to Dr. Yu, and I couldn’t recommend him more!

I’m always happy and content with the team especially Dr. Yu. The service is very good all around. Dr. Yu is the best dentist I have met so far and I intend to stay. Except my recent experience- the scheduled appointment time was changed, and when I asked for clarification I did not get a response, but the front desk claims otherwise- hence I missed my appointment for a few minutes and has to be cancelled by the office. So then I reminded the front person that I received a notification via e-mail prior to this appointment that there’s a cancellation fee if the appointment is cancelled within 48 hours. So I have to wait and see if I get a penalty fee. Dr. Yu is an excellent dentist! (a 5)

The quality of service and dental care I receive here is consistently excellent. I feel like everyone, from the receptionists to Dr. Yu himself, genuinely cares about not only my oral health but also my general well being. They are receptive to my specific needs/concerns, and Dr. Yu is very straightforward and transparent when giving advice/recommendations, which I appreciate. After only a couple appointments, I am confident he is someone I can trust. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now!

Earlier today I was disappointed given that I had received an invoice with charges dating back to August. While paying the invoice is no problem, I was frustrated that I was just finding out about the charges dating back 5 months and this was the first time hearing about it. While Kaila listened and was kind when I spoke to her, I still felt uneasy. Later, Dr. Yu called and wanted to hear my concerns. He is truly one of the best, he went out of his way to hear me out and understand where I was coming from. I’ve never had this kind of experience where my doctor reaches out to hear my concerns and genuinely ask how I was doing. I’ve always had exceptional service and always praise this office, while there was a hiccup along the way, I can say that Dr.Yu truly cares about his patients.

I love my dentist! Dr. Jonathan Yu is very knowledgeable, but also very patient in his ability to explain his knowledge in a way that is understandable. He is very personable and kind and also very high tech and contemporary in his practice. Auntie, his dental hygienist, is also incredible – very gentle and thorough and she gets excited and is passionate about my dental health, which makes me feel good. Pauline and Jessica, the office admin, are both beautiful and very kind and helpful. They really work with my schedule for appointments which is super appreciated as a teacher! Wonderful practice!

Dr Yu and his staff are a very competent, knowledgeable and friendly. He explains the procedures he is performing and provides for alternative pathways for solving maladies he encounters with your teeth, if need be. I trust his decisions and follow the advice he has given and he comes through with compassion and care.

Adding another review because I just cant stop singing the praises for this amazing practice. I put off my dental care for so long due to past bad experiences, but Dr. Yu and his whole staff makes me EXCITED to keep coming back, knowing im going to be well taken care of. Kaila is so sweet and professional, they really have a one of a kind receptionist in her. Highly recommend Dr. Yu and his practice!

I just started up with Dr. Yu after my long time dentist passed away. I spent over 30-years with Dr. Jerry Hiura and it was hard deciding who to go to. I found Dr. Yu on the Delta Dental website and loved that he is literally down the street from my home. Kaila is so sweet and funny and Dr. Yu is super nice. I was nervous to go to the dentist due to Covid, but felt comfortable once I was there. So far so good, I hope I can continue with Dr. Yu and won’t have to get another dentist for a long time.

While eating dinner the other day the crown popped off on my front tooth. I must say I was very nervous to see a dentist during Covid. This was my first time going to a dentist in over four years. The office was clean. And I could see that Covid protocol was being practiced. After meeting Dr. Jonathan J Yu my nerves began to calm down. He is very friendly and professional. He explained my options after taking X-rays. He shared the pictures with me. And then asked for my input. I really liked that! Within an hour the repair was completed. I was really impressed with him making me feel comfortable. I must say, the visit was excellent! If you are apprehensive about visiting a dentist please go see Dr. Jonathan K Yu. You won’t regret it!

As someone who suffers from extreme dental anxiety, due to past trauma, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Yu and his staff. They really care about their patients and want them to have a positive experience in their office. Dr. Yu makes sure to explain the work that he is performing and really takes his time to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. I had a rather large cavity, that over the course of 2-3 visits we weren’t able to fill. Dr. Yu did everything he could to ensure that I was comfortable and we were finally able to fill the tooth yesterday! He truly cares about his patients, both on personal level and as a business. My dental anxiety is slowly shifting and I am beginning to equate the dentist with a positive experience, rather than a negative one, thanks to Dr. Yu and his staff.
