Dr. Estrada has been my dentist for a decade, at least: since she worked in another practice in Chelsea, then to 59th St, sometimes in Brooklyn, then to her own practices on 57th & 6th and downtown Manhattan. I had been to butchers before her, but she cares about saving your teeth and your self-image. Having gotten to know her over the years, she is not only a very capable DDS, but a sincere and kind-hearted person. Her staff uptown is very kind, friendly, and accommodating. I can’t speak to the complaints about the downtown staff, but she acquired the practice rather suddenly and inherited any staffing issues. Of course I would recommend her for anyone looking for a professional and decent human of a doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Estrada since 2016. She has one of the most personable, affable and knowledgeable staffers. Outside of the friendly nature of the office, Dr. Estrada cares for each of her patients. Outside of the usual cleaning, I started Invisalign treatment and a crown implanted. I have been seeing Dr. Litwin and Dr. Estrada for a few years now. I have to say my teeth are now in the best shape they’ve ever been – I just finished my invisalign program with them and am thrilled with the results! Really great work. And it is always a pleasure going to see them. They are just a good mix of friendly and professional. They get to know you a bit, they are really nice and genuinely care about their patients. Okay, so this is an odd review for me, as I generally reserve even thinking about writing a review for something that I hoped would be good – restaurant, massage, shopping experience – but turned out better or worse than expected. In this case – the dentist is a dreaded, horror experience for me. I would never think about a review, because, well I don’t expect anything great, even think I’ll be tortured. So, it takes a lot for me to write a dental review. And I’m adding these key words to this review “afraid of the dentist” incase any one searches for reviews for great dentists for people terrified of the dentist. I put off going as along as I can because I had a torturous 6 years of braces when I was a child and it left me scarred for life. My orthodontist was satan with pick, probe and mirror. So, when I chipped a tooth (minor) a few weeks ago I figured it was time to go just so it didn’t get any worse (yes I’m vain). I mustered all the courage I could and made the call. The receptionist answered and I said I had 2 questions. 1 – do you except my insurance. 2 – okay now that you except my insurance, are you a good dentist for people who hate dentists. Answers were both yes and before I knew it today was upon me. The length of my experience today was filled in a cold sweat, but that was just my nerves. Everyone was fantastic. They completely understood my concerns, were sympathetic and talked me through everything they were doing. The worst news I received was that I need to wear a guard when I sleep because I grind my teeth which is why I chipped a tooth. That news was much better than what I expected, because I was sure I was going to need to have every tooth pulled followed by a root canal in each socket. So, I highly, highly recommend this dentist. They even humored me with my defense mechanism of joke-laded banter throughout my entire appointment.

Dr. Francine Estrada is a dentist that has been serving the New York area, Midtown Manhattan, for more than 10 years. Francine Camila Estrada D.D.S. was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from U.C.L.A. Dental School in 2006. She then moved to New York City and completed a residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has highly specialized training in all areas of General Dentistry, such as Teeth Whitening, Gum Treatment, Braces and Implant Dentistry. Additionally she has completed extensive training in Esthetic dentistry and Invisalign, and also provides Botox Injections. While training at U.C.L.A. she was involved in Pulmonary medicine research, in patients with severe pulmonary disease, and her research is published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. She’s also an active member of International Team of Implantologists. Dr. Estrada has many interests and hobbies. She loves to practice yoga, volunteer and read. She has always felt that giving back is a crucial part of life, and has volunteered all over California, as well as abroad. Her volunteer work has been in transitional homeless shelters for women and children, and tutoring inner city high school students. Dr.Estrada’s last volunteer position took her to a dental clinic in Israel, which treats women and children who cannot afford dental care. Dr. Estrada has a gentle demeanor, and a compassionate and caring side that allows her patients to feel comfortable from the first moment they meet her.
