Dr. Wallace has been the dentist for both my family and I for my whole life and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. For the first time I had to go to someone else (because of insurance changes) and couldn’t do it again because the quality of care at Dr. Wallace’s office is unrivaled. He really cares for his patients and puts in the time necessary to answer questions- I’ve never felt rushed and always felt like my questions/ concerns are heard. The staff is so accommodating and office vibe feels “homey”. Could never try another dentist again!

Dr Wallace is really a fantastic dentist. I have had both bad and good dentistry and Dr. Wallace is absolutely the best. I had two major amalgam fillings replaced today. He is a wizard with the novocaine and the whole procedure was absolutely painless. The finished composite fillings look perfect and he is a master at ensuring the bite surfaces match perfectly. I can recommend Dr Wallace without hesitation.

Dr Wallace is not your typical dentist, he is extremely precise and his cosmetic dental work is flawless! After fainting during a run my front tooth on my upper pallet chipped off. The bonding on it held up for 9 years and he replaced it. The color he matched with the rest of my teeth look perfect. He is gentle with your mouth and makes sure you are comfortable. Highly recommend Dr Wallace for every dental need you have!

While growing up I always dreaded going to the dentist and being in the dental chair (like many of us do). I hardly ever write Yelp reviews, however Dr. Wallace deserves ten stars out of five if I could award him that. Not only is he a genius in his expertise, but he makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk into his office. Both him and his staff are so kind and genuine. I guarantee you will feel at ease at your appointment here. From my years of experience, after visiting countless dentists (and not being satisfied) I can one hundred percent say Dr. Wallace is the only one that has not tried to up charge my appointments or recommend more work than needed on my set of chompers. Instead of anxiously awaiting my dentist appointments with complete misery I actually look forward to them and have a beautiful pearly white smile to account for Dr. Wallace’s work. If you live in the San Diego area I strongly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Wallace and staff. (:

Dr. Wallace is the best. He corrected a couple of problems from another dentist in town that have plagued me for some time. Also, he does not try to do things that would be better dealt with by a specialist. His concern is for quality as opposed to running people through on a conveyer belt.

As a patient of Dr. Wallace’s I have always had excellent care. He and his staff of lovely ladies are both professional and engaging which puts me at ease. Above all they are kind which we all could use more of. I recently had a resorption issue and was facing possible surgery but Dr. Wallace was able to get the job done without me suffering the pain & sensitivity issues that go along with gum surgery. Fred Wallace, DDS has maintained his dental practice in Solana Beach since 1987. For over thirty years, patients from Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Encinitas, Carmel Valley and Solana Beach have entrusted their dental health to Dr. Wallace and his staff. Dr. Wallace is a 1981 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
