Dr. Henna Hussain is the best dentist I have ever seen! She is honest, thorough, and took great care of me! I was referred to her after by someone I met at a work event. I was going to A+ Family Dentist where they were up-selling me and told me I needed a multitude of procedures that were not necessary. After I found out they were preforming unnecessary procedures and not even billing my insurance and charging me 100% of the cost.  I left their practice and began the long process of  trying to find a GOOD and HONEST dentist. Thank God I was referred to Dr. Hussain! Dr. Hussain and her assistant were incredibly friendly, honest, and even verified they were in net work for my insurance and verified my benefits before I went in for my appointment. The office is very nice, they don’t over book, and take you in at your appointment time. Dr. Hussain is a rare type of dentist in that she is a REAL dentist who truly cares about her patients and is not interested in ripping them off like most dentist out there! I highly recommend her!

Let me start by saying I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years so connecting with people is so important to me no matter what line of work you are in. Not only did they knock that out of the park with smiles upmost professionalism I have to add that due to certain medical difficulties it’s always been really tough to find a dentist that can assist me. They were so gentle and catered to all my needs . Unfortunately I am moving out of state and I say this in all seriousness that I will fly back to San Diego just to come do my dental work here.

I have to say I am truly impressed with everything at Family Friendly Dental! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. Angela and Jojo are just the sweetest, so kind and genuine with lovely senses of humor. Dr. Henna is an absolutely fantastic dentist, very knowledgeable and informative when it comes to your dental health and is very thorough with her procedures. Feeling comfortable with dentists hasn’t always been easy for me but they made that a priority. I’m happy to say I’m very satisfied to be a patient with them

Fantastic service from start to finish. Annie was able to squeak me in an appointment within a week of my request at a time convenient for me. This was my first time as a patient and JoJo was fun and efficient working through my inital x-ray exam, and assisted Dr. Henna for my cleaning which had my teeth looking crisper than ever. Dr. Henna was also gentle and conscious of my comfort. Sensitive teeth approved. The team at Friendly Family was informative and answered all my questions. I’ve alread booked another appointment to get some cavaties drilled and filled. Can’t wait 🙂

I am so happy to have been recommended to Friendly Family Dental! I have had terrible experiences with dentists in the past, so am always wary of trying a new place. They were extremely thorough and gentle with the cleaning. They make you feel positive about yourself (instead of scolding to floss more) while also educating you on what you could do better. Wonderful experience overall and the Dr. and Jo Jo are very knowledgeable.

This is the first review I’ve ever done online.  I feel compelled to write about my recent experience as a new patient at FFD.  At my age (seven decades!), I have seen many dentists on both the East and the West coasts over my lifetime.  None have been as thorough, kind or proactive as Dr. Henna.  She is the most approachable dentist I have ever met, and her gentle, yet educational, style made me feel comfortable and well informed about my treatment and self-care options.  Of note, as busy as the office was, I did NOT feel rushed at all while receiving treatment there.  Without a doubt, I will be recommending her to family & friends.

I had my second appointment here and now I will always go to this dentist. I mean I have always hated going to the dentist and I still would rather not, but being that it is an uncomfortable thing Dr. Henna and Jojo make the best out of it. They are both so welcoming and friendly. They both explain everything extremely well and take their time with you. They definitely go above and beyond with their patients. Now I can officially say I don’t dread the dentist because of Friendly Family Dental. I also don’t normally write reviews but I felt it was necessary with how strongly I feel they made a difference with my dental experience and will continue to do so.

I’ve been going to this office for 3 years now, found them through Living Social after moving here from the East Coast back when Dr. Ly was in charge, and I’ve been nothing but impressed!!! The transition was gracefully handled when Dr. Ly gave Dr. Henna her practice, and I’ve been just as impressed with Dr. Henna as I was with Dr. Ly! I just love this place! I have had negative experiences with dentists before who didn’t do thorough exams, left all of the cleaning to the dental hygienists, and often went looking for work to be done, so it was hard to trust them. When I found this practice, I knew I’d stumbled upon a gem! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist! They are wonderful!

Very happy with this office.  Although last year I was slightly taken aback that there was a new dentist without warning, the transfer from Dr. Ly to Dr. Hanna was seamless.  Dr. Hanna is equally patient, caring, explains things, doesn’t make anyone feel rushed.  The staff, too, is professional, courteous and friendly.  Glad to have come across Dr. Hanna and her dental practice

Dr. Henna and staff are extremely professional. Her credentials are second to none and I trust her with my entire family’s dental needs. Also, her office is so friendly and welcoming. We have benefited greatly from her care and expertise. When choosing a dentist, I believe it’s worthwhile to seek the best. Dr. Henna certainly is one of the best and I hope to continue to bring my growing family in the ensuing years to come.

De Henna and her staff were amazing. I care in for a cleaning and walked out with so much more than that. Let me start by telling you, I tried to schedule and appointment few days before and they were completely booked until January. They did whatever they could to find a space to accommodate me, and sure they did. My teeth feels so clean and they were super straight forward with everything and how much a treatment would cost. I highly recommend this dentist.

Dr. Henna is amazing!! I have been going to her for about 2 years. She is always so welcoming and nice. She always looks out for the patient’s best interest and will give her honest opinion. Her assistant Jojo is also very sweet and gentle. I was looking for a dentist I could come to long term and I am so glad I chose Dr. Henna! She is also affordable if you don’t have insurance. Overall an incredible doctor and person.

I went in to see Dr. Henna last month and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist! Going to the dentist is something that usually brings me a lot of anxiety but the entire staff at Friendly Family Dental made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I ended up needing to get a cavity filled and it couldn’t have been a more painless process. Jojo and Dr. Henna were so amazing and reassuring, I actually felt relaxed and comfortable during the entire process and didn’t feel a thing, not even the numbing shot. I will without a doubt be going back to Friendly Family Dental for all of my dental check ups and will recommend to all my friends in San Diego. I can’t say I’ve ever had such a good experience at the dentist! From the start to finish, it was great. I love the ease of the online scheduling for appointments.  It’s a small team there, so you always know the people that are going to be digging around in your mouth. JoJo and Dr. Henna were wonderful. It’s clear they work very well together and they’re very efficient. I typically experience slight pain/discomfort with dental cleanings and exams, but this one was completely pain-free. My wife tried several other dentists in the area, and they all gave her very different quotes on prices and the amount of dental work she needed done so she didn’t feel comfortable proceeding. They also made it seem like every issue was urgent. Dr. Henna, on the other hand, quoted her a much lower price and didn’t pressure or rush her to get the work done. Instead she set her up with a prioritized schedule throughout the year.

Dr. Henna is very kind and gentle! She is great explaining everything and giving you all the options. I went in because I HAD to find a new office and the reviews were all 5 stars.  The office is small and personal… When I told her how scared I’ve been since childhood, I had embarrassed tears welling up. It’s been a completely different experience! I would put off going for years at a time but am a regular patient now checking off one by one all the damage years of delays caused. Jojo her tech has a history working with kids and she is awesome too! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend Dr. Henna and her team! I haven’t been to the dentist in over three years and I was pretty nervous about going. Dr. Henna talked me through every step of the cleaning and even taught me about new ways to brush and floss my teeth. Here’s the best part, IT WAS PAIN FREE. How often do you go to the dentist and walk out saying it was pain free?!! They are all about education here and I love that! I can genuine tell that she cares about her patients and wants them to have strong dental health. She definitely IS NOT one of those dentists that will try to scam you into more procedures or scare you into things that you don’t need.

My experience here was unbeatable! The all-female staff (GRL PWR), was super knowledgable in each of their positions. Angela that works upfront knows everything there is to know about insurance, is extremely thorough when discussing paperwork, and is all-around incredibly friendly. JoJo, the dental assistant, is AMAZING! Like she makes it so you want to come to the dentist every day just so you can talk to her. Her jokes, experience, & friendliness make this office incredibly lucky to have her. And of course Dr. Henna is the best dentist around! She’s patient, informative, gentle, kind, & very friendly. All around, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend them to everyone!

The entire office and staff of Friendly Family are outstanding. I have never had such an amazing dentist in my life. Dr. Henna Is extremely professional, kind, and highly skilled. Her prices are absolutely fair. My wife and I could never imagine of ever going to another dentist. Dr. Henna’s assistants are above and beyond polite. I have never had such positive experiences with any other dentist office. Friendly Family is the best!

I had not been to the dentist in 6 years! Yikes! But I have had such a great experience with this office since I became a patient. Dr. Henna and  Jo-Jo made me feel very welcome and worked diligently to get the care and information I needed. They also gave me plenty of advice about preventative maintenance and the best day-to-day care. Their pricing is fair and definitely a great option for those with ppo especially. The office is cozy and clean. I’m almost excited to go to the dentist no lol.

My husband and I moved from Arizona to San Diego 4 years ago. Trying to find new doctors in a new city proved to be quite challenging. We were lucky enough to find Friendly Family Dental, and its name says it all! Prior to seeing Dr. Henna, my dentist appointments were anything but pleasant. My jaw would lock open during cleanings or dental procedures and I’d leave in severe pain dreading my next appointment. I even had to start taking prescribed medication prior to my appointments that would “relax me,” which made me very loopy and required my husband to drive me. Once we found Friendly Family Dental that all changed. Cleanings were a breeze. Both Dr. Henna and her staff were welcoming, gentle and professional. The care and attention to detail is what sets them apart from other dental offices. You’re treated like family, not just another patient. My jaw issues have been mostly relieved with the use of a custom night guard I had made at their office. If you are prone to stress and clench your teeth or are a nighttime grinder, I highly recommend getting a night guard. It has changed my life. Tight, locking jaw – no more. Daily headaches – gone. If you aren’t happy with your current dentist or if you are new the area and looking for a professional and caring dentist, I implore you to visit Friendly Family Dental.

Wonderful office. I hadn’t been the dentist for over 5 years so I was a bit apprehensive going in and getting work. The receptionist greeted me and was very warm and friendly, that alone instantly calmed me down. I didn’t wait long until the dental assistant came in to do work. I know I needed my teeth cleaned and then I was told I had some cavities as well. Dr. Henna was so nice and just an overall great dentist who shows empathy towards her clients and takes the time to listen. I had a wonderful experience here and will be back for future work 🙂

Dr. Henna is kind and professional. I was the only patient during my visitation and received her undivided attention. She’s thorough and I appreciate her taking the time to explain each step during the cleaning. She also provides proactive dental recommendations to prevent any future issues. I would highly recommend her to a friend.

Dr. Henna and her staff are always friendly and patient. When I told them that my teeth were still sensitive even after my cavity fillings, Dr. Henna took a look and fixed whatever needed to be fixed for free. Dr. Henna and her office have a calming presence, which is good for anyone who gets nervous about dental checkups. Ample parking is always a plus. Students with UCSD dental insurance can definitely check this practice!
