To be honest it is a privilege to call him my dentist. I choose him because he is the only 5 Star dentist on here and it is no fluke. He is the most competent, kindest, nicest dentist ever. I had a triple root canal and when the Novocain wore off I could not even tell I had been worked on. I had no pain except for minimal swelling pressure. Add in a few crowns perfectly done and he is just the best.

Dr. Lee knows his way around teeth as well as Michelle knows her way around insurance companies. Together with their hygenist Singh (spelling?), this makes them an efficient team of professionals who always take care of me with *cheesy alert* Friendly Smiles. Seriously though, they’re sincere people who have taken the time to get to know me and set up a treatment plan to maximize budget and timelines. Also, they just recently renovated their office with very comfortable new chairs and equipment.

I’ve been going here for almost a year now. It is honestly the best dentist office I’ve ever been to! The staff is super friendly and always gives a warm welcome, they really do make you feel at home. Ally cleans my teeth and Dr. Lee always stops by to say hello and check in. I truly feel like they have my best interest at heart and I will continue to be a patient here as long as I’m able to!

After trying multiple dentists in Portland I tried Friendly Smiles Dental and am so happy I did! They are super professional, attentive, and do a fantastic job! I was so tired of going to showy, “fancy” dentist offices but receiving subpar treatment in town…Dr. Lee and the staff (especially Sing she is THE BEST dental assistant I have EVER had) really show that actually being friendly and providing great dental care is #1 for customer satisfaction!

I’ve always had a horrible fear of dentists. Not here! I’ve been going here for over a year now. This is the only place I’ve ever felt genuinely comfortable! I’ve dealt with both drs personally, and they’ve been SO sweet, understanding, and thorough! They’ve even fixed crummy work from other dentists I’ve been to. The other day I had a root canal and it was one of the most pleasant days I’ve had in a while ! Side note just to say that Mischelle that works the front desk is the friendliest and most helpful person you’ll ever meet! She is just the best! And they actually give you great estimates as to what everything will ACTUALLY cost, it’s always reasonable (I have pretty mediocre dental insurance, and I usually pay pretty little out of pocket). I love this office and everyone there!

I hadn’t gone to the dentist in a year for my routine cleaning, so I was a bit hesitant to find a dentist that a) wouldn’t ridicule me for not doing the 2x a year cleaning and b) not torture me with their devices. I’m not afraid of going to the dentist, but when you’re lying down with your month open and see a person in a mask coming at you with with a sharp object, you suck it up and hope that at least it’s quick as possible. When I came to the office, the staff was super friendly and filling out paperwork was a breeze. Then it was showtime: I met the dentist assistant and they took some x-rays: No cavities (yay!), but there was some scraping that needed to be done (no!). So we began. Not gonna lie it was awkward, but it wasn’t that super painful. The 80’s music in the background made me relax and I let them do their thing. She was super patient and explained every step she was doing to make sure I was prepared. The whole process took about 45 minutes and I got a goody bag at the end! Overall a great experience!

I have been visiting Dr. Lee and his office for over a year now and use to see him when he worked for Brite-Now Dental. Once he started his own practice I followed him to SE Portland because I hate dealing with new dentists. Dr. lee works fast, does a great job explaining procedures, and is very professional. His entire staff is super helpful and they always treat me like family when I arrive for appointments. 100% recommended.

This place is great. My husband and I both received friendly, gentle and professional cleanings by a wonderful staff. I had to have a few fillings after the cleaning and felt very well taken care of by dr. Lee. I was never in any pain at all and felt very comfortable during what is not normally a plesent experience . My husband had some trouble with his insurance and everyone was extremely helpful and understanding. I would recommend Dr Lee and his staff to anyone looking for a fantastic dental office!

I hate going to dentist. I don’t like the drilling noise in my ears. I don’t like the ouchy in my mouth. I especially don’t like paying the expensive bills even after insurance. Now, this part is going to sound cheesy like those local tv commercials, but I honestly don’t mind it at all going to dentist since I found Dr Brandon Lee. First, making appointment is easy. Michelle is the front desk superstar. Not only that, if you told her the detail of your insurance, she will be in touch with your insurance companies to get an estimate for your treatments. There will be waiting period for this because insurance companies usually take their sweet time. After that, she will tell you how much out of pocket cost you have to pay on the day of your treatment. I think that’s the number one reason why I like this dentist because I like to know how much I will need to pay out of pocket. No hidden or high charges = a good thing for Olivia T. Dr Lee is pretty damn cool for a dentist. He’s funny, friendly, knows what he’s doing, and he always wants you to be comfortable. The rest of his staff are the same. I don’t think there’s one person there that I don’t like. I was debating to write this review or not for a long time just because I don’t want you guys to steal my appointment spot. So, I warn you, don’t take my spot k.

Dr. Lee is great! As is everybody at Friendly Dental. I cannot recommend them highly enough! They provide friendly, guilt-free, superior-quality dental care. I have problem teeth and had not been to the dentist in about 6 years (yikes, I know, but I had a horrible experience with my last dentist–in SF, not Portland–and was in no rush to go back to a dentist). My mouth was full of trouble, but Dr. Lee clearly explained what my options were and gave me a detailed treatment plan that broke down the work into manageable chunks by priority. Ten fillings and one extraction later I am happy to report that my mouth is in tip top shape again! All of the work was smooth and painless. Dr. Lee and his staff clearly care about doing quality work, going above and beyond to leave my mouth a way better place than they found it, and about my comfort. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Lee! All of the hygienists at Friendly Dental are great as well. Super friendly and great at their job! Definitely the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. And Michelle at the front desk is amazing, always upbeat and keeps everything running smoothly even when the place is clearly blowing up with phone calls and patients. She has also made the insurance/billing process completely painless. This is by leagues the best dental practice I have ever been to.
