Good: All the staff was great to work with. The doctor explains everything in layman’s terms, answers all questions, and makes good recommendations to benefit my health and teeth. The emphasis was on my well being. Dental work was excellent. The Bad: Very pricey for a cash payer like me, but they do give away chocolate chip cookies and drinks. Also, Netflix was shown while waiting. And the Ugly: Such a good experience, it makes me want to come back soon. Hmmm, wanting to go back for a dentist appointment. Did I really have that much fun?

Its the people that make this office such a great place to go to for your dental needs. Sure they have all the latest Tech, Digital x-rays, 3D scanner instead of that gooey dental impression stuff and can even make and set your crown all on one visit. I love watching the little milling machine make the crown! But it really comes down to the people in the office, all are kind, caring, customer focused and try to find solutions that will work for you. They were amazing with my 97 year old father. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Johnson and his staff and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone young or old.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are simply the best. Over the four plus years we’ve been with their practice, we have developed real friendships with the staff and feel right at home when we’re in their office. They are kind, thorough, and go out of their way to make each and every experience a positive one. I would recommend them to anyone.

Gary Johnson and associates are by far the best dental place I’ve been to. Up front, honest and very compassionate. I’ve had almost all hygienists that work there, and every one provides amazing service. I feel great after leaving there facility everytime. Thanks again for your practice. I’m not a huge dentist fan, and you guys make it fun!

I was referred to Dr. Johnson about a year ago.  From day one he has been nothing short of top notch, professional, concerning, caring, easy going, and trusting!!  A true top dentist in his field, in my opinion.  I’ve been there for old ‘silver’ fillings removal, cleanings and just had a crown put on one tooth.  Not to mention that Dr. Johnson knew how important it was to me to remove the old ‘silver’ fillings, he went above and beyond with cleaning up work that wasn’t done properly by another local dentist, I wasn’t charged for the extra work.  In my book, that’s a great person!  I also need to mention that his entire staff is right on board with him, all professional and wonderful and helpful.  I highly recommend his office for any type of procedures that they perform there.  My crown was all done in 1 1/2 hrs, no temporary, they have a special machine which mills out the crown while you are at your appointment.

I’ve brought my two young children to Dr. Johnson and was thoroughly impressed with how comfortable he made them feel. The time came for me to have some older dental work redone and I must say it was the most pleasant dental experience I’ve had in my 36 years. Gentle, pain-free and the work looks great! The entire staff is friendly, and my hygienist Courtney is amazing.

Dr. Johnson and the staff are amazing. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable after having a bad experience in the past with another dentist. Katie was truly the best and went above and beyond to help me. If you’re anxious or scared of the dentist like I am, you definitely want to give them a call. You will not regret it!

Dr. Johnson and his entire staff is very professional and extremely nice. anyone who is looking for a brilliant dentist and a very loyal and professional staff should go to Dr. Johnson’s office. I have been using Dr. Johnson since I moved to chico about 1 and 1/2 years ago and I am very impressed. In my 64 years and tons of dentist He is by far the best. \I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson for the past few years, ever since my prior dentist retired.  I couldn’t be happier with the staff or my treatments.  I have had several cleanings and his hygienists are incredible.  I had a crown put on earlier this year…..what a painless, excellent experience compared to ones other dentists have done.  I couldn’t even tell I had it the next day!   And during this time of Covid concerns, they practice incredible hygiene and care.  I truly recommend him and his office staff.

Dr. Johnson has a very nice office. Even fresh baked cookies and coffee in waiting area. The staff is very friendly and I never have to wait. The hygienist is excellent and my teeth have improved since seeing her. Bottom line is what we seek in dentistry. Friendly, on time, latest innovations, good care with results.

Having a major fear of dentists and all things dentistry I chose this office after reading a lot of reviews. I knew I would need some work due to the (extreme) neglect which made my fears even more intense. Now, after two root canals, three cavities filled, and one cleaning, I am confident I made the right choice. The front desk was professional, compassionate, and understanding in spite of all my issues. They made sure I had all the comfort, encouragement, and assistance I needed which went a long way to ease my fears. Dr. Johnson was kind, my dental work itself turned out great, and the hygienist was spectacular. I am so grateful that this experience has helped me get into a normal and healthy routine of dental care. Plus they have snacks & drinks in the waiting room which was a bonus! Highly recommended.

In the past I have always hated going to the dentist. Although, ever since I started going to Dr. Gary Johnson it has been a positive experience, and my teeth have never looked better. I recently fractured a tooth from an old root canal, which was the most pain that I have ever experienced. Dr. Johnson was able to fit me in quickly and extract the tooth. Dr. Johnson is the only person in the world that can make a tooth extraction a pleasant experience. He also contacted me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. He and his staff is the best dental office in the world. They are amazing!

Dr. Johnson, DDS found my cracked, 14+ yr. old crown provided by an other dentist. He removed it effortlessly, at least to me. I felt no pain whatsoever. His medical assistant, Tianna, worked closely with him making my visit actually enjoyable, as I appreciated their experienced techniques so quietly executed together. They even fixed an adjacent tooth that had been bothering me for quite some time, and they charged very little for this. All work was finalized in less than 2 hours; no need for a 2nd visit. Lastly, Shelly at the front desk made my payment process quick and easy and always with a bright smile. Hard to believe, but I actually look forward to my Dentist visits!

I called this wonderful office and the lady who answered was so kind. I was in a lot of pain, and scared. She was able to get me in just two hours later. The dentist himself was very nice. His hygentist was professional, and made me feel at ease. Absolutely recommend this place. I never will forget their kindness. Front desk ladies were phenomenal.

Beautiful, clean and friendly dental practice. They were very accommodating with working me into their schedule last minute. Hygienist Jen was fantastic! Thorough with her exam and cleaning, and also focused on my having a comfortable experience. Dr. Johnson has a light & fun personality along with a confidence-instilling bedside manner. Overall great experience. Thank you so much for providing an exceptional dental experience. I will definitely be recommending their office to others!

Dr. Johnson recently performed cosmetic dental work for my daughter . The end product was beautiful and was also the most conservative, least expensive approach. The dental work immediately transformed her into a smiling young woman. He took extra time to help her make the best decision for her.  He made his recommendation to us based on what he would do if my daughter was his own daughter. It becomes immediately clear upon meeting him (and his competent staff) that these are people you can trust in completely. Choosing the right dentist is extremely important. Without hesitation I highly recommend Dr. Gary Johnson. I work in a profession that knows how valuable it is to get expert care and what can happen if you don’t, so I do not give out recommendations lightly.

Dr Johnsons office is one of a kind! Coming to Dr Johnson’s is a breeze from the staff to the amazing chocolate chip cookies on your way out! I had to have a filling done for the first time just recently and Dr Johnson and his assistant were very kind and walked me through the whole process! I was very thankful for that. Courtney does an amazing job on my cleanings as well chatting throughout the appointment making me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this office to anyone I know!

Dr. Walker is simply amazing!  He makes your dental work look like your teeth are natural. No one can tell that I have veneers! He has 3 incredible hygienist, who know more about the health of your mouth than any other dentist I have gone to in the past.  I feel like I walk into my own house when I go there.  Fresh baked cookies, and coffee or juice!  It is so relaxing and comfortable!  Who would ever think that I would look forward to going to see my dentist?  I love everyone there!

I have to begin my review by acknowledging that I’ve only been seen twice at Dr. Johnson’s office. But wow, I am impressed! I had a crown and a couple of fIllings done this morning, and it was a fantastic experience! He took the time to and answer all of my questions in a way that I could in understand. I haven’t needed any Ibuprofen or anything else. Every staff member I have encountered has been polite, professional, and welcoming. A couple of weeks ago I had an intake and cleaning, and I could not be happier with my experiences! I would DEFINITELY recommend this office to anyone! In fact, I am actually looking forward to my next appointment!

Hands down the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I felt I was in very good hands and everyone was so friendly and nice! Beth made sure I felt comfortable and at ease took time to thoroughly explain everything to me that she was doing and made sure I understood. She took patient care to the next level and gave me tips and tools on how I could take even better care of my teeth. She went above and beyond and I really appreciated it.

Dr. Johnson is great. Very kind and he did a great job on the work I had done there. Great staff. The hygienists are knowledgeable, informative and respectful of my choices in what to do with my teeth. I feel like they really have my best interest in mind. The receptionists are sweet and helpful as well. Thanks for all the swag!
