I’ve been going to Dr. Diez and the crew for the last 3 years and they are wonderful. Dr. Diez is straightforward and kind and does not try to upsell or overcharge you for unnecessary services like most other dental practices. He is very knowledgeable. Apparently your mouth and teeth and tongue can tell a lot. Dr. Diez was able to see signs of a sleeping disorder by looking in my mouth, helped test for further indicators with a taje home device (no extra charge), and ultimately got me informed enough to go seek outside help. This did not benefit his practice by doing all this. He just cares about his patients! Also, the whole staff is incredible! The hygienists are really sweet and gentle. The front office staff are kind and make sure to get you scheduled for your appointments and check ups to take advantage of the cleanings and services that are typically covered already by insurance!

If you are looking for implant work, periodontal work or just a normal cleaning, you got to go see Dr. Randall Diez and his office staff. I just received my tooth implant (lower left quad) and it feels amazing. No numbing agent was required because Dr. Diez gave me a step by step documents on how to get the best results. the offices staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in what they do. Tampa is very lucky to have him practice in the Gunn Highway area.

I went to Dr. Randall Diez to have two crowns put in. One of the reasons I was so impressed with his service is that he uses state of the art equipment. With this equipment he was able to make the crowns right there in his office. This way you don’t have to use up a lot of your own valuable time going back and forth to the Dentist office until the work is finally done. I’ve been going to GCD for about a year and some change now and honestly I’m pretty mad I hadn’t made the switch sooner. This practice is very warm, welcoming, and has a strong sense of professionalism and family. So far I’ve had two procedures done at this facility and it was well worth everything. One being total wisdom teeth removal and the other being a root canal+crown with a separate filling. Dr. Randall Diez was very meticulous, swift and best of all gentle. I didn’t feel a thing during or EVEN AFTER the procedure. To feel nothing after a root canal is incredible. No headache, no discomfort, nada. The crown was even made IN HOUSE in all of about 30 minutes and needed no adjustment. It was perfect. Clearly the staff at this establishment are forged professionals and most importantly human beings who give 100% of their time, dedication, and expertise to their patrons. If you need to know something, they’ll tell you; if you want to know something, they’ll tell you. The fleet is very transparent and hides zero information from it’s customers. If you’re looking for real dentistry, then stop scrolling and click on this place ’cause these guys are the real deal. Dr Diez is by far the best, most patient and experienced dentist I have ever been to. I generally loath the dentist but Dr Diez is magical at dissipating that sweaty palm, heart racing anxiety that often accompanies me for the visit. I would make one recommendation in that you get the quote in writing for work that needs to be done. Seems like every time I have work done the quote is lower than the actual bill and and I am always surprised at check out. I have been a long time patient and would be happy to pay the set amt if I am told up front. I do not like a 300+ delta in what is quoted and what is actually charged. The Dr is AMAZING.

There are Dentists & then there are BETTER Dentists.. I broke a filling & had to get some emergency work done. I had a hard time getting an appointment with anyone for emergency repair. I finally get an appointment and I go to a dentist and he tells me that he’s just going to do an evaluation and set up an appointment for someone else to do the repair! I asked him why not do the repair now because it hurts? He said that he couldn’t do it! So I just wasted 2 hours driving an extra 40 miles to get to someone that I can get an appointment with but couldn’t do anything! I was very upset! I left that office and went straight to Randall Diez. With no appointment I explained the situation to them and to my surprise they accepted me in because they knew I was hurting. I walked in so angry and I left so happy! I cannot say enough about these people , they went out of their way to help me get it taken care of. Now here’s the real kicker! I had to have a crown done, where else can you go that is capable of doing the entire job including making the new crown in one appointment! They have the equipment necessary to get this job done in one appointment instead of making someone wait to have the new crown made somewhere else. Not to mention this is a second generation dentist working here. These people have the best bedside manner of any dentist office I’ve ever been in. I hate the dentist because it always means pain for me and they took the time to take care of me properly and I cannot say thank you enough! Job well done guys!

I will not go anywhere else for my dental health needs. I have been a patient of Dr. Diez since the early to mid 90’s. I had very serious gum disease and Dr. Diez along with my periodontist were able to do gum surgery and literally build bridges to save my teeth. IT WORKED! As it stands, I am at 23 years post surgery/treatment and they are still holding strong. After my initial diagnosis, I sought 2nd opinions at 2 different practices and both of them said they could not even accomplish what Dr. Diez did. They said I would need dentures and partials. They were wrong! I cannot stress enough the quality of work that was done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I am probably a unique patient in that I can compare the LANAP surgery to traditional scalpel “peel and scrape” surgery as I like to call it. This is needed when gingivitis gets below the gumline and can not be reached with less invasive cleaning methods 3 years ago, I had the scalpel surgery and was not informed I would need to come every 3 months for a regular cleaning to keep gingivitis at bay. Thus I find myself in need of getting the same surgery all over again. This time I went with the LANAP surgery. Here is what I experienced with peel and scrape: Post-Surgery cotton packing Several days of spitting blood out High level of post-surgery pain and inflammation for days afterward Moderate level of post-surgery pain and inflammation for weeks after that High level of sensitivity to cold and heat for months afterward Here is what I have had so far with LANAP: No packing No blood Mild to Moderate pain and inflammation first few days afterward Mild soreness the next few days No sensitivity to cold or heat afterward. The decision wasn’t whether or not to have the procedure done again. I like having my teeth and want to keep them. The choice came down to scalpel again or LANAP. Without a doubt, I am glad I went the LANAP route. The price differential between scalpel and LANAP ( I have no dental insurance so it may be better for others) comes out to a little over $1,000. That slight difference is money very well spent. I would advise anyone getting Perio surgery done not to even consider the scalpel as an option. As for Dr Diez’ office over others, I would recommend they see him. I went for a consult to a Dr that advertises laser in the TBT. Their entire process made me feel like I was working with a used car lot and the stereotypical sleazy sales tactics. I felt like I needed a shower after talking to them. I had even scheduled an appointment with them to have the laser surgery done. After another conversation with them went sideways I decided to look for another Doctor. The next morning I was in for a consult with Dr Diez. The week after that I was getting the right side of my mouth treated with LANAP. Later that night, his wife called me to see how I was doing post-surgery. Twice more after that during the following week his staff called me to make sure I did not have any problems or complications. 1 week after the first surgery, I had the left side done and had a similar experience. Staff and Dr are very friendly and make you feel at ease. I did not have a regular dentist but I will be going to him regularly now.

I was referred to Dr. Diez by a good friend who has been going to him for some time and can never say enough about how wonderful he and his office staff are. A recent change in my dental insurance made it possible for me to give them a try. Normally I wouldn’t write a review about a dentist but after my experience I felt compelled to. Dr Diez and his staff were the best dentist I have ever been to and I have been to some posh dentists in NYC and they don’t even compare to the overall friendliness , professionalism , care and concern that I received today at their office on W. Kennedy Blvd. Everyone at his office was exceptionally friendly, they honestly make you feel like they are there to help you and not like as in most dentists I have been to in my life that are more unfortunately concerned about their bottom line than what’s best for the patient. I as most people fear the dentist and usually put it off until I am in pain and scrambling to find a dentist for fast relief. My first visit was mainly for X rays and a check up and cleaning, sounds simple enough but as in the past , even those procedures have been painful. My experience today went flawlessly without the slightest discomfort and during the procedure Alicia the super friendly hygienist was constantly attentive to make sure I was not experiencing any pain. If your looking for a new dentist or if you haven’t been to the dentist in too long, I sincerely recommend calling Dr Diez and his staff, I assure you won’t be disappointed and you too will be here sharing your great experience as well. Parking is a bit tight upfront and can be difficult backing out on to Kennedy Blvd, but they do offer parking in the rear as well.
