He understood my financial struggle with all of the dental work I need done and came up with a plan that meets my budget, but will fix everything. Hes never once judged and asked what happened, just said it will get fixed. Hes the only dentist thats been able to get my mouth to numb to where I cant feel it (hence why teeth got so out of control) I got 2 teeth filled today and couldn’t even tell what tooth he was working on and have absolutely no pain after. When he pulled my back tooth I had almost zero pain after except for 1 day and no bleeding (I’ve had 6 pulled before moving here and coming to him so Im shocked) I don’t really understand the unwelcoming reviews because genuinely he jokes a lot to lighten the mood and some may take that as rude etc, but I love it. I have extreme anxiety towards dentists and his sarcasm and joking make it a million times better on me! Hes very quick and to the point and after 10 dentists between living here and back home hes easily the best one I’ve been to! I’ll be very sad when I move in 3 years hes absolutely incredible!

If you need a cool dentist you should check out Doctor Hopper as he walks in a good mood with his little pup into the office. I have only been coming for about a year but the office is also clean and the staff is just as friendly as the Doc. He has an up beat personality which helps when doing work on your teeth. I was there yesterday to put in my new crowns and he is very sensitive and makes you feel comfortable as you set in the nightmare of a chair that is the “DENTIST CHAIR” I mean let’s me honest, who likes going to the dentist. I also must add that during the Covid-19 pandemic him and his staff are taking every precaution to stay safe and make sure me as his patient is also safe. That is key, especially during this time is when we are more careful of what we do and here we go. Even during these times we still have to keep our teeth as healthy as possible.

I was extremely pleased with my visit to Dr. Hooper’s office. I mainly came here because I saw their ad on TV where they still took military insurance. I went in thinking it would be the normal they would tell me what was wrong and then refer me to 3 other people to fix it because that’s what happened at the last place I went to and they also wanted to charge me an arm and leg, but not with Hooper. He came in gave me my options and said whatever you want to do we can get you fixed up and out today. I was shocked! I agreed to the price and such because it was the best price I had been given by anyone. So he got to work. He had to pull a tooth and I honestly never even knew when he did it. He was very professional and quick. I am very happy I chose to come here!

Dr. Hooper has been our family dentist for 24 years. He is always kind and genuinely cares for his patients. Dr. Hooper is very sensitive to the individual personality of each patient. I am an anxious patient and he always explains each step of the procedure and makes sure that I am relaxed and comfortable. I understand that he has been known to greatly reduce a fee if a person is in pain and can’t afford the full fee for an extraction or some other emergency procedures. He is a dedicated family man and his patients have often met his children at the office and watched them grow up. Beautiful family portraits adorn the office. I recommend Dr. Hooper for anyone looking for a great family dentist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Hoopers since the late 1990’s. My entire family over the years have all become patients. The staff is a complement to his practice with great attention to patient care and comfort and I always see the same staff one has been there over 20 years. The quality of my dental health is evident, as I have complements on my teeth almost daily. Cant say enough good things about this group other than “see you in 6 months for my next cleaning!

Dr. Hooper and his staff are wonderful. I “married” into this practice when my husband and I got married in 2014. In 2015 we had a little girl and when she was 6 months old we started bringing her in for wellness checks. Not only do I have a wonderful experience every time I walk through the door, everyone knows me on a first name basis and my daughter is now almost 3 and will walk right in and sit in the chair for a cleaning. It makes me feel so positive about her future oral health and I definitely have the staff and his staff to thank!

I have now also found the most incredible dentist, thanks to a recommendation by some good friends!! I love him! If you’re looking for an amazing, compassionate, and incredibly talented dentist, who will listen to you and do what’s best for you, go to see Dr. Hopper on First Colonial. I have a very complex 20 year dental history and he addressed every single problem, he comforted me, and he helped me, unlike many of the other local dentists who refused to touch other dentists’ work, who mostly were not even in the same state. Dr. Hooper cares about his patients, he cares about your dental health, and he genuinely will listen to you and make you feel like you truly had a meaningful and useful appointment by the time you leave.
