I’ve been going to Dr. Gerald Shinkawa for around 20 years. So, to see his practice grow into a family business is definitely wonderful. Dr. Adam and Dr. Nicole Shinkawa are as equally welcoming, professional, friendly and comprehensively trained in the latest practices and techniques in dentistry. The Shinkawas, along with the office staff and technicians, have always made my visits to the dentist pleasant experiences.

Saw Dr. Nicole today. She did a fabulous job cleaning my teeth. If anyone is looking for a place, I recommend visiting Shinkawa Dental. I’ve had major dental problems all my life so I used to be apprehensive about going to the dentist, but this place has changed my mind. Been a patient since 2017. I’ve been seen by all three of the doctors: Dr. Gerald, Dr. Adam, Dr. Nicole. They are all very knowledgeable, caring, and make you feel comfortable. I’ve had 3 root canals done, and I have to say I appreciate how they explore all treatment options with you, answer any questions you have, and let YOU decide what’s best for you. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. There is literally no wait time. I love that the new system allows all forms to be completed digitally before your visit.

I was referred to Shinkawa Dental by my boyfriend who has been going and taking his children there for years. They’re all very friendly and informative. All three of the Shinkawa’s made me feel comfortable right away. I would recommend them to anyone, adult or child. Having a great dentist is priceless

I adore this place. Shinkawa Dental is a no judgments zone. I’m uninsured and they were able to accommodate me. I would also recommend getting their dental saving plan too if you don’t have insurance. The best health investment I have made so far for myself. I have only been to one other dentistry my entire life and the care they offer can not beat one of the visits I have had with Shinkawa Dental.

The Drs are amazing and friendly ! My mom is a patient there and she always leaves happy after each visit. I was very impressed after my first visit today. I been dealing with discomfort for quite some time and went to various dental offices. They couldn’t find what was wrong with my tooth. Both dental offices said “It’s a perfect healthy molar. There’s nothing wrong.” I was devastated because I knew something was wrong. I went to Shinkawa dental office and they investigated and seen I had some decay under my filling close to my tooth nerves! I can’t believe other dental offices didn’t catch that… Anyway Shinkawa will now be my dental Dr. They know what they are doing and will go above and beyond to treat their patients.

My husband and I have been Shinkawa patients since the mid 90’s. We have recommended Shinkawa dental to everyone because Dr. Gerry’s work is so painless. Then Dr. Adam came on board and the painlessness continued! Now, I am delighted to recommend Dr. Nichole, who through hard work and perserverance has joined the team. They are such a caring, focused family. I am proud to have witnessed their journey through the years and realized that they have had a dream and through that dream they will be serving their patients with integrity and high quality dentistry for years to come. We are also thankful for our wonderful Veronica in the office from the beginning til now!

Moving to Fresno, I was extremely apprehensive about finding a new dentist so I held it off for a very long while, over 3 years, yikes! ‍ To my surprise, the Shinkawas were so thorough in my initial examination that I felt entirely at ease,,, enough to finally let go of my previous dentist (distance was the factor). Everyone at Shinkawa Dental are fantastic. I have been receiving dental care from them for years. I am always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Dr. Gerry and Dr. Adam have provided expert dental care for me through the years. They go above and beyond. When my brother was here visiting from Alaska and had a tooth problem, they worked him in, even though they were very busy. I recently had a very difficult root canal and they handled it expertly. I am very grateful for the wonderful dental care they have provided me and continue to provide me. I recommend Shinkawa dental to everyone looking for dentists who care and who are experts in their field.

Shinkawa Dental is awesome! Their new office is really very nice and a wonderful upgrade from their previous office, very warm and inviting. The location is also incredibly convenient! The staff is friendly and caring. You are treated like family by everyone! The Shinkawa’s make a trip to the dentist a pleasant experience. Can’t recommend them enough! You are always greeted with “a Smile,” no pun intended!

I started going to Shinkawa Dental decades ago on the recommendation of a friend who promised me that Gerald wouldn’t cause me any pain when he did dental work. It’s true, he’s very careful and conscientious about his work. He was my children’s first dentist as well, and they never developed a fear of dental work. Now his own kids are working with him and so things are getting updated a bit, but it’s still the same great place to get dental care. Lots of care and good humor.

Started going here as a cash pay patient last year and they have been awesome. They are affordable, friendly, and professional. Dr G does a great job of educating you on how to better care for your teeth and gums. They do a fantastic job with their work and are gentle. I would highly recommend them to everyone

I have extreme anxiety around dentists and about dental procedures due to past experiences that have left me traumatized. My husband found this place and it’s been the best experience I’ve ever had. Great work by wonderful people who are so very kind and professonial! I would recommend this place 1000 x’s over.

Dr. Shinkawa senior has had his own practice for well over a couple decades. Now his son Adam has recently joined the squad and eventually his daughter will form part of this unique family dental practice. When have you ever heard of a family dental practice? Quite the treat! The Shinkawa’s in general are the kindest most generous family you’ll meet, and that’s reflected at their dental practice. I would encourage everyone to join the Shinkawa family; they make me feel like I’m receiving dental “care” rather than just dental “treatment.”
